Investigating the Hotel
March 21, 11:34 AM, J & Co Law Offices
J and Kairi were back at the office to think up what to do next. They didn't have a lot of time so they needed to get to work immediately.
"Well, at least we were able to get Mr. Goro Akechi as our client." J said with a nod. "And we know that he didn't do it…Which is very important…"
"So!" Kairi said determined look on her face "So now what should we do?!"
"Well, the trial is tomorrow. And we only get this one chance." J said to Kairi thinking "There's only one way to prove Mr. Akechi's innocence. We have to find the real killer."
"Okay! Then let's start looking!" Kairi said with a nod.
"Since there were no Psyche-Locks, then that means we can trust Mr. Akechi to be innocent." J said to Kairi.
"I really feel much better knowing that." Kairi said with a smile. "Ever since last night, I was so worried that I kept wondering…'What if he is the real killer…? What then…?'"
J thinks and asked "Hey, I have something I want to ask you, Kairin."
"Okay, what is it?" Kairi asked
"Why are you so interested in how Jaden and I get along?" J asked her. "I mean, he and I don't have anything special go…"
"Huh?!" Kairi lets out in surprise "Wh-What do you mean?! B-But I thought…I thought you and Master Jaden were…" She looks down saddened "I-I've been mistaken all this time?! No way…!"
'Aaaah! She really wasn't kidding! Kairin actually believes Jaden and I are…Maybe I should've just left it alone…' J thinks sweat dropping.
"Miss. J! Stop it! Don't hide your true feelings from me!" Kairi said to J looking serious and slaps the drone.
'Ow! She slapped me!' J thinks rubbing her cheek
The two then leave for the Tipton Hotel, except it wasn't the one next door but at the city centre newly built where the Grand Prix and the crime were held.
March 21, Tipton Hotel, Hotel Lobby
As the two enter the hotel lobby a familiar figure in a space suit appears and said "Hey! What do you think you're doing?! You can't come in without…" It turned out to be Stanly Pines again still in that space suit he wore from the grand prix
"Good morning" Kairi said smiling
Stan glares at J and removes his helmet as he said "Hold on, it's YOU! What is going on around here?!"
"U-Uh…Um…" J said not sure what to say
"I heard poor Alejandro was killed. Is that true?!" Stan asked her. "It's a bad rerun is what this is. Another 'White Ranger' doing the most evil of deeds."
"Um, you know…That's not entirely…" J said trying to choose her words carefully.
"I have you know what I was a huge fan of Alejandro's!" Stan tells the two. "Why, oh why, do all the stars I'm a fan of drop one by one like flies!" He then goes into ones of his long winded rants.
"Um…Actually, I wanted to ask you about the murder and what happened…" J said stopping him.
"Hmph! Don't push me, drone!" Stan said annoyed.
"Um….Miss. J?" Kairi said looking down. "I…Um…I couldn't hear everything he said…because he was talking too fast…"
"Mr. Pines, could you please speak a little slower…?" J asked him.
"Don't boss me around, you Miku-haired, smarty-drone!" Stan said glaring and puts his helmet on and fires his toy laser gun.
"Well, what can you tell us about the victim." J asked.
"Well, my dear Malty died a year ago in that dreadful murder." Stan began after removing his helmet "And only recently did I finally find a star that is so amazing it helps me not think about my loss."
"…I don't know what to say…" J said after hearing that.
"I ask you, why does every star I cheer for always ends up kicking the bucket?" Stan asked with a shrug.
"Umm…" J said thinking.
"I'd watch your words!" Stan said glaring "No one's going to get away with saying anything bad about Alejandro!"
"But I haven't said anything…" J told him.
"Well, I don't believe a word that man says anyway!" Stan told her.
"Huh? What man?" J asked confused at that.
"That irritating, kanto boy with the brown hair and shorts." Stan said annoyed. "I mean, what is that outfit this time of year? And why does he never stop talking?" He then goes on a long fast rant again.
J looks to Kairi looking concerned and asked her "…Kairin? Are you thirsty?"
"Um, a little." Kairi said smiling.
"Okay. I'll go get you some juice or something." J said nodding.
"Th-Thank you very much." Kairi said happily.
"Hey! Are you paying attention?! Young'uns today!" Stan tells them annoyed.
'So, I'm guessing Mr. Pines heard everything from Todd…' J thinks on that. She then asked "I want to ask you about what happened around the time of the murder…"
"Ah, I don't know anything about that. I was here getting ready." Stan tells her.
"Getting ready? For what…?" J asked him.
"The show, of course!" Stan said in response "…Well, and the press conference afterwards."
'Cue mysterious music for the magical press conference.' J thinks on that.
"Anyway, I don't know anything about the murder." Stan told her.
"Ah, I see…" J said nodding.
Stan then looking serious said "…But." J looks at him and he adds grinning "But if you're talking about what I saw, that's different. I saw it very clearly!"
"What?!" Kairi said shocked.
"I saw the most important moment of the night!" Stan said with a grin.
"Th-The most important moment?! You don't mean…?!" J asked in shock.
"Oh, so now you treat me with respect, you disrespectful drone." Stan said smirking. "When you speak to your elders, you should always be polite. Really, young people today."
"Please tell me! What did you see?!" J asked him.
But just then suddenly the Logic Solver Keychain glows and the world darkens, and several chains appear around Stan. Then locking them into place was four Psyche-Locks.
"The murder last night was gruesome, wasn't it? But then, what murder isn't?" Stan tells her smiling.
'Please don't stray onto another tangent…Please…' J think begs
As they return to the real-world Stan said annoyed "If you want to hear more, then show your respect and bring this man a present!"
J and Kairi leave him and continue on their way.
March 21, Tipton Hotel, Viola Hall
J and Kairi enter and see the Police trooper in the middle of their investigation, being helped by the hotel staff.
J said, "Looks like the investigation is still in full swing. The hotel staff and the police troopers are running around like a bunch of headless chickens."
"I wonder if we can do any investigating of our own in this kind of atmosphere…" Kairi said looking down.
"…Well, got to roll up the sleeves and try, I guess." J tells her.
They then continue on their way to the hallway.
March 21, Tipton Hotel, Hallway
As the two enter the hallway that has Akechi and Alejandro's rooms they see Todd Snap their who said to them smiling "Hey! You're here! Been waiting for you, Miss. Lawyer!"
"Todd…" J said sweat dropping.
"Hey! Mr. Drone Cop fella! The thief's showed her face!" Todd called out
"Wh-Wh-What?!" J said in shock at this sudden change.
"Arrest her! Put her on trail! Find her guilty! Give her the death penalty!" Todd said calling out.
"Wh-What's wrong, Todd?! Are you feeling okay?" J asked confused.
"Looked here and there and up and down the mountain, but it ain't here!" Todd told her. "So why don't you just hurry up and give it back to me, you creep drone!"
"Um, what are you looking for…?" Kairi asked him.
"My CAMERA! C-A-M-E-R-A!" Told said in response. "It's my life blood! I'm going to die without my 700 credits camera!"
"Y-Your camera…?" J said and realized that he didn't have his camera around his neck.
"Look, don't lots of people say the criminal always goes back to the scene of the crime?!" Todd said with a smile. "And lookie, lookie, here you are!"
"Yep. Here I am…faced with a Todd of trouble." J said sighing.
"Huh?!" Kairi said confused and surprised.
"So you lost your camera…?" J asked Todd.
"It isn't no ordinary camera!" Todd told her "You buy it in a store and it's 1,600 credits brand new!"
"Huh? But didn't you just say you bought it for 700 credits?" Kairi asked confused.
"I had a nice long talk with the guy at the store…About five hours, I figure." Todd said with a proud smile then added "I made this itty-bitty scratch on it and the manager got all huffed up in the face…He gave me his talking to and was really mean about it, too. He done and made me cry at that!"
"When did you lose your camera?" Kairi asked him.
"Last night, after the murder happened." Todd said thinking. "Must have been when I was busy running around looking into things! That's when I lost sight of my dear, darling expensive sweetie!"
"Todd, what did you capture with that expensive camera of yours?" J asked him.
"I don't really know." Todd said thinking about it "I snapped a shot of anything that caught my eye. So I don't remember….And besides, I couldn't get anything for my big scoop."
'I wonder if Todd's missing camera is even connected to the murder…?' J thinks on it and decides to add Todd's Camera to her Court Record just in case. She then asked "Todd, please tell me what you know about what happened at the time of the murder."
"Well, from before the ceremony last night, I was hanging around here in this area." Todd said thinking about it. Then nods adding "Yeah, actually I was here until around the time Mr. Akechi was arrested."
"What were you doing here…?" J asked him.
"You sure you went to school, City Drone?" Todd asked her. "Wherever Todd Snap goes, there's a story to be found! A big scoop to be had!"
"A big scoop…?" J asked confused.
"I told you before, I'm going to be the best tabloid photographer the world's ever seen!" Todd told her. "I recken of course that means I'm always looking for the perfect shot!"
'I wonder what 'scoop' she was after this time…?' J thinks on that.
"Although, I was also on the lookout for the other stats that were here, so…maybe I wasn't here the entire time…" Todd admits with a sweat dropping chuckle.
Hearing that J asked "Todd…Are you sure you weren't here the entire time? So, you could take a picture for your big scoop?"
"Well…Maybe I was. But that's what real journalists do!" Todd said with a grin. "I got some juicy inside info, so I thought to myself, why not get a picture for proof?"
"What kind of story was it that you would hang around here…?" J asked him.
Just then the Logic Solver activates and the world darknes and chains appear and lock in place with two Psyche-Locks. Todd smiles and said "Oops, sorry, Miss. Lawyer. Can't be telling you that. Trade secret, you know?"
'Not again…Why does everyone have something to hide…?' J thinks at that sighing.
As they return to the real world Kairi seeing J's look asked "We've been stopped, haven't we?"
"Ha, ha, yea! Take that, Miss. Lawyer!" Todd said proudly.
'I'm glad someone around here is happy…Mr. Snap and your 'I rule!' smile…' J thinks sighing. She and Kairi then head into Akechi's room.
March 21, Tipton Hotel, Akechi's Hotel Room
They walk into the room that was nice and well tidy. Kairi looking around asked "Um…Where are we?"
"We're in Mr. Goro Akechi's dressing room…This is our client's room." J tells her.
"May I help you with something?" a female voice said J sees there with a book was a faunus girl with black long hair, yellow eyes and black cat ears wearing a black, buttoned vest with coattails and a single silver button on the front. Underneath this is a white, sleeveless, high necked, crop undershirt and super tight white spandex compression shorts that reach her upper thighs with a zipper on the front of each leg, emblazoned with the YKK logo of the real-life Japanese zipper manufacturer.
She also wears black low-heeled boots and full stockings with a color gradation of black to purple at her ankles on her left arm is a black detached sleeve with a silver cuff around her bicep, and black ribbons are wrapped around both forearms. A small, loose, black scarf is wrapped around her neck, and a gray magnetic backpack is strapped to her back, hidden by her hair. She also had a black bow that was positioned in front of her cat ears. In her hands was a date book but looks at them looking serious
"Um, uh…We're…" J said stammering her words.
"You're Mr. Akechi's lawyer, correct? I gathered as much." The girl said to J. "I also looked for lawyers on my end, but to no avail."
"Um…How did you know I'm his lawyer…?" J asked her.
"You were just saying that he is your client." The woman told her simply. "In a situation like this, the only person who would use such a word would be his lawyer."
"Wow…" Kairi said amazed.
"It's simple deduction, really." The woman said. "The trial is tomorrow, and Mr. Akechi's situation is looking rather grim. So you came here, one stop in your mad dash, to find clues to build his case, correct?"
"Well, you're not totally right, but you're not totally off either." J said to her.
"It's really not the time to be showing off, Miss. J." Kairi said firmly.
"I am Blake Belladonna." The woman introduces herself. "I hate to waste time, so let's get down to business."
"A-Alright…" J said nodding. She thinks 'She may be of slim stature, but appearances can be deceiving…' Before speaking she looks at the plates and sees a T-Bone steak bone on it but something was off about it, but not sure yet.
"I assume the first thing you need to know is what everyone was doing that night, correct?" Blake asked J.
"Y-Yes, that is correct." J said nodding to her.
"Then I will tell you." Blake said closing the date book she carries and pulls out a card with a dragon emblem on it and twirls it as she explained "Before the award ceremony, I had dinner with Mr. Akechi. In this very room, I might add."
"Dinner? What did you eat?" J asked her.
"I hate you. I hate to waste time with trifling details." Blake said looking serious. "It you took a look at the table yourself; you wouldn't need to ask me."
'…I bet she's a lot of fun at parties…' J thinks sweat dropping.
"When the award show was starting, I headed for Viola Hall." Blake continues her story. "And after the show ended, you came back to this room…? No, I had some small errands to run. I helped with the preparation in the lobby."
"Oh…" J said and thinks 'Preparations for the post-ceremony show, I guess…'
"When it was time for the post-ceremony show, I came back to call for Mr. Akechi." Blake continues on "After that, I went to visit Mr. Alejandro…"
"And that's when you found his body, isn't it?" J asked her. Blake remains quiet.
"You really held strong through everything…" Kairi said amazed.
'Yeah…She does seem to be mentally tough as nails…' J thinks nodding. She then asked "Um, so…About you and…"
"Stop right there." Blake said looking concerned. "You aren't seriously about to ask how Mr. Akechi and I are related, are you?"
"S-Sorry…" J said to that.
"I have no idea how he could choose you as his lawyer." Blake said twirling the card.
'Why did she have to go and say something like that…?' J thinks looking down.
"Miss. J…Calm down and hang in there." Kairi said to her smiling. "I'll give you a shoulder rub to relieve your stress later, alright?"
"I already gave you my name earlier, but I'll add that I'm Mr. Akechi's manager." Blake tells them.
"His manager…" J said nodding. "Speaking of managers, did the victim, Mr. Alejandro have one?"
"No, he did not." Blake said simply.
"He didn't?" J asked surprised.
"Vox Studios has a very different policy from Desire Grand Studios in that Desire Grand Studios does not assign individual managers to their stars." Blake explains
"I see…" J said to that.
"This industry is very ruthless and unforgiving." Blake said sternly and thinks looking sternly at J and Kairi"Actually, you look quite ruthless and unforgiving yourself to your poor partner. Dragging a little girl like her to places like this. Honestly."
"You're wrong! I…I'm doing this to help Master Jaden…!" Kairi said angry.
"Kairin…Calm down and hang in there." J said patting her head "I'll buy you a juice later, okay?"
"Nngh…" Kairi said to that but stands down.
J then pulls Press Conference Ticket and presents it to Blake and said "You were the one taking care of the arrangements for this press conference, right?"
"Yes, that's right." Blake said nodding.
"But Mr. Akechi said he 'didn't know' about it." Kairi points out to that.
Blake thinks for a moment then asked, "Is that what he said…?"
"Huh…?" Kairi said.
"Actually, I didn't know all the details either." Blake admits. "It was a request from the publicity department. All I did was help out and do what I was asked."
"Oh…I see." Kairi said at that.
'I wonder about that…' J thinks 'I wouldn't take her to be the type of person to do something without knowing the details.' She then presents to Blake Alejandro's profile and asked "Did you know the victim, Mr. Alejandro?"
"Yes, I knew him." Blake said nodding "The world is such a small place, after all."
"Did you know about his rivalry with the White Dino Ranger?" Kairi asked her.
"Honestly, they were like children when it came to that." Blake tells them. "Time and time again, those who competed with each other over the most trivial things." She thinks and added "If either one of them wasn't so stubborn, then maybe no one would have needed to die."
J eyes widen hearing that and she thinks '…I've got a hunch that this faunus woman knows more than she's letting on…She must know why Alejandro was killed!' She then asks "Do you have any ideas?"
"As to…?" Blake asked.
"As to why Mr. Alejandro was murdered?" J clarifies.
"Why would you ask me about such a thing…?" Blake said.
"I'm just doing my job. So, do you have any ideas?" J explained. Just then the Logic Solver Keychain reacts and the world darkens and chains surround Blake and locked by four Psyche-Locks "M-Miss. Belladonna…?"
"Sorry, but there's nothing more I have to add to this conversation." Blake tells her opening the datebook.
"Is it a Psyche-Lock, Miss. J?" Kairi asked when they return to the world.
"Yes…" J said sighing "There's getting to be more and more of these lately."
They then leave the room and head into Alejandro's room.
March 21, Tipton Hotel, Alejandro's Hotel Room
J and Kairi enter the room of the victim and see it fill of many stuffed Ursaring toys and models and such. Kairi looking around asked "Miss. J…Where are we…?"
"We're in Mr. Alejandro's room, Kairin." J tells her smiling.
"Mr. Alejandro…?" Kairi said thinking on it trying to recall.
"The victim…Which makes this the crime scene, too." J explained.
"Oh! It's you!" The familiar of voice of N is heard, He quickly came over and asked "So?! What happened?! The kidnapper! Has he contacted you again?!"
"Not yet." J said sighing "He probably won't until we win Mr. Akechi's acquittal."
"Umm…You're doing okay buddy?" N asked placing a hand on J's shoulder looking concerned "Hanging in there?"
'I just want Jaden to be alright…' J thinks as she and Kairi look down sad with worry.
"We don't have a lot of time left, but I'm going to help you as much as I can, buddy." N said determined.
"Can you do that?" J asked looking up at him "Even if we want to look around the crime scene…?"
"Just this once….'Special circumstances' right, buddy?" N tells her and smiles "I'll even tell you everything I know. But you've got to keep quiet. It's my neck on the line here."
"Thank you." J said to that.
"Oh, that's right. I got you guys a map of the hotel, buddy." N said handing a map to Kairi. "Here you go, little missy."
"Wow, you're giving it to me?! Thank you!" Kairi said smiling excited as she accepts it.
"Ha, ha. Wouldn't want you to get lost in a hotel too big for its own good." N said chuckling.
"Miss. J! I got a map!" Kairi said happily.
"That's great Kairin!" J said with a smile.
Kairi then gets concerned and siad "Um…But Miss. J, I can't read what it says…" J pats her had and adds Hotel Guidemap to her Court Record. She then asked "Do you know what was the cause of death?"
"Well, technically, the final autopsy report isn't out yet, but…one look at the victim should tell you, buddy." N tells her.
"It should…?" J asked.
"Yeah. Here's a picture." N said pulling out a photo and shows it to J. On it, it showed Alejandro slumped in a chair wearing the Kamen Rider Hibiki costume, minus the helmet with a knife in his chest.
"There's a knife in his chest." J notes nodding.
"Yeah, buddy, that's the murder weapon." N said with a nod.
'So, he was stabbed to death…' J thinks on it.
"They're looking at the fingerprints down at the lab right now." N explained.
"There were fingerprints on the knife?" J asked him.
"Yup." N said smiling. "And it looks like they're pretty sure they're Mr. Akechi's prints, buddy."
'That's bad…Real bad…' J thinks on that and adds the Crime Photo added to the Court Record. She then asks, "Why was Mr. Akechi arrested?"
"Because we had evidence on him." N told her simply
"Evidence…?" Kairi asked.
"It looks like the victim, Alejandro, really put up a big fight." N explained to them and motions to the side of the room where the beds are visible which was a mess.
"Yeah, one look at the crime scene and you can tell." J said nodding. "There's signs of a struggle everywhere."
"Well, yeah. During the fight, his button came off…" N said smiling.
'Mr. Akechi said something about a button…' J thinks on it. 'Something like, one of Kamen Rider Hibiki's buttons got caught in his belt…'
"But that's not all…" N told her.
"What?!" J said surprised.
"There was a witness, buddy." N said sadly.
"A witness?! Wh-Who is it?!" J asked surprised.
"That man…Mr. Pines." N said looking down.
'Please…Anyone but him!' J thinks face screening remembering what happened last time he was a witness.
"The prosecution has plenty of evidence to make a solid case…" N explained "Not to mention there's something around where the vic was that's a little off."
"Something that's a little off…? As in…?" J asked him.
"As in, that's for you to figure out, buddy!" N tells her.
"Alright, let's try and figure it out, Miss. J!" Kairi said determined.
J nods and looks around the room. Kairi looks at the Usaring bears and said "Wow, there are a lot of Usarings!"
'Alarm clock ones, collector's editions, stuffed teddies, plastic models…' J thinks looking 'It's pretty overwhelming…Is there a kind of bear he doesn't have…?'
"There's even a few in the trash can…" Kairi said sadly looking at the trash can.
"Yeah…I get the feeling maybe the guy didn't really like Usarings." J said sighing.
"Poor teddies…" Kairi said.
Just then J sees in her head Krusty the clown who said "It's hard to 'bear' with all these problems…Growl! Hoohoohoohahaha!"
J shudders and thinks 'I don't think I want to 'bear' with the trauma the last case caused me…'
"What's wrong, Miss. J?" Kairi asked her smiling.
J looks around and looks at the makeup table which was bare except for one full wine glass of Tomato juice and examining it said, "It's a beautiful wine glass, and there's…tomato juice in it."
"Ewww. Tomato juice. I don't really like it much." Kairi said looking down.
"There's a battle of it on the table over there." J said pointing to the table with a dinner plate on it. "That's probably where this came from."
"But doesn't it seem weird?" Kairi said to her.
…What seems weird?" J asked her.
"I mean, everything else is scattered all over the floor." Kairi points out
J thinks on this thinking 'She's right. The flower vase was brocken and the make-up is strewn everywhere.'
"Why is this glass the only thing that's still alright...?" Kairi said concerned.
J adds Wine Glass to the Court Record, she then sees a case with spots for clubs to be put in. She said "This is…a Ongekibou case, I guess. A little beat up, but still useable."
"That's strange. The Ongekibous are not here…" Kairi said concerned.
"Maybe he forgot to bring it to the show?" J suggested.
"But Master Jaden…" Kairi points out sauying "He said the bright red Ongekibous was Kamen Rider Hibiki's signature weapon…"
'That's true…' J thinks on it and then realizes something when her hand brushes the case "Huh? This Ongekibou case is wet. But it's only wet on the top of the lid…"
Kairi feels it and nods saying "Yeah…There's no water inside the case…This is water, isn't it…?"
J adds the Ongekibou Case to her Court Record and goes back to N and presents the wine glass to N and said "So about this wine glass…"
"Ah, so you noticed it, buddy." N said with a chuckle "The whole crime scene was a mess, but this glass was the only thing that was untouched."
"You noticed that too, Detective N…?" J said surrpsied.
"No, actually Miss. Wittebane noticed it first." N said looking down.
"Yeah…Kairin noticed it before me, too…Hey, wait a minute." J said to that and gets concerned "So…Does that mean Courtney's here at the hotel…?"
"Yeah, she's around." N said nodding "Oh biscuits, you're going to be in so much trouble, buddy. Especially if she catches you in here."
"Well, you can bet the instant I see her, I'll be flying the 1,000 meter air dash." J said with a nod. But just then at that moment a familiar beeping noise is heard.
"Wh-What's that beeping noise, Miss. J…?" Kairi asked confused.
'Hmm…I've heard this sound somewhere before…' J thinks on where she heard that noise before.
"It's Miss. Wittebane…" N said in fear.
"Huh?" Kairi said surprised.
"For some reason, whenever I hear that sound, she pops out of nowhere and whips me!" N explained.
'Come to think of it, that's exactly what happened the last time…' J thinks about it.
"S-Sorry! I've got to make myself scarce!" N tells the two "Later, buddy!" But before he does he is whipped "Eowwwch!" He then falls onto the ground.
Appearing before J and Kairi was Courtney Wittebane who is followed by her Camerupt and said with a smile "As last, you reveal your true nature…Miss. Serial Designation J!"
J mentally gulps and thinks 'Would it be too much to ask for you to be nice to me for a change…?'
"So, you're the type to steal information from pitifully hopeless detectives!" Courtney asked her smirking and then whips J "That's very dishonourable of you!"
'Owww!' J mentally yells.
Courtney sees N moving to the doorway via a crawl and yells out "Hey! Don't you dare run away Labrador Drone!"
"Ah!" N winces and gets up standing at attention.
"I didn't think the detectives of this country could be this pitiful…" Courtney said shaking her head and whisps N and he yells out at it "Detective! Come over here for a second!"
The two move over to the side of the room and N receives a barrage of whippings and N cries out "Yeooooooooooooooooooow!" N then collapses back down onto the floor falling unconscious.
"…Hmph." Courtney said smirking. "I feel better knowing at least you were man enough to face your punishment."
'He was so scared, he just froze up on the spot…' J thinks at that.
"Miss. Serial Designation J!" Courtney said glaring at the female drone. "You…You have soiled my perfect prosecution record. I'll never forget that. This time…Victory is mine!"
J looks at her and sighs and then asked "Victory is yours? Is that all this means to you…?"
"Wh-What…?!" Courtney said to that the two stare at each other and she scoffs with "H-Hmph! Come Labrador! The investigation briefing is about to begin."
"Y-Yes, sir!" N said recovering.
Courtney looks at J and said "This isn't over yet…I swear on my family's honor!" As she walks past she chucks something that hits J.
'Ow! What did she throw at me NOW…?!' J thinks and looks at it where it landed on the table, it was an autographed card 'What is this…?'
N looks down and said "…Well, I guess this means I've got to get back to the precinct now, buddy. If you ever need me, come down to the Criminal Affairs Department, okay? And if you can, try not to let Miss. Wittebane see you…" He then leaves.
J then examines the card on the table. Kairi picks it up and said "Miss. J, what's this piece of paper…?"
"It's called an 'autograph'." J tells her.
"Auto-graff?" Kairi said confused.
"The paper's got Mr. Alejandro's name written on it, so it's his 'autograph'." J explained.
"I can't read it at all." Kairi said looking down. "To be honest, I've never seen writing that looks like this."
"Ah, it's a special way of writing called 'cursive'." J explained and points to the card as she continues "Look here. See how it says, 'To my good pal Stanly' in more normal letters here?"
"Th-This sloppy, unreadable writing! It's crazy and cruel to give this to someone!" Kairi said angry.
'Hold on…' J thinks looking at the autograph Kairi looks confused as J said "Stanly…I've heard that name somewhere before…" She then adds the autograph to the court record.
The two then leave the room to keep investigating.
Well that got heated. Next time we continue the investigation and next time J will re-encounter someone she didn't think she'd see again.
