As they said, Biff was driving River Road towards that tunnel. The Delorean flies just above Biff's car, completely unseen. Marty opens the door and gets out the binoculars and he looks through them.
"Do you see him, Marty?" Ally asked. "Yeah, he's right below us. Doc, let's land on him and cripple his car," Marty said. "Marty, he's in a '46 Ford. We're in a Delorean; he'd rip through us like we were tin foil," Doc said, making a good point.
"So what do we do?" Marty asked, perking up. "I have a plan," Doc said, lowering the Delorean so that they were hovering above the road. They were right behind Biff, who was listening to the radio.
"Get the hoverboard and make your way over to his car," Doc explained to him. "Alright, we're ready to go," Ally said to Doc. Marty grabbed his sister by the shoulder tightly. "Hold on, Ally. You're not coming with me," Marty tells her.
"Who says, Marty?" Ally argued, fighting against Marty's hand. "Me, Ally! Please listen to me! I can't risk you getting hurt," Marty said. "I understand that Marty. But there's a better chance of getting the Almanac if we gang up on him," Ally said.
"She's right, Marty. Both of you have a better chance of getting it. You guys just cling to the car like a lifeline," Doc agreed. "Stay with me," Marty says, taking ahold of her hand.
Marty grabs the hoverboard and puts his left foot through the strap of it. He hovers for a minute before grabbing Ally's hand before clinging to Biff's car. Once they were clung to it, Marty gives Doc a thumbs up, letting him know that they were good to go.
Doc returns the thumbs up and flies off from the rood. Marty gently hovers around the car, Ally had to scale it, sticking close to it. They see the almanac in the back of the car. Marty reaches for it but Biff gets to it before he does.
"Shit!" Marty whispers. "So close!" Ally added. Biff takes the almanac to look at the results after hearing them on the radio. After seeing them, he sets the book down in the passenger seat. They had the chance to grab it.
Marty quietly opens the door since he was closer. When Biff turned his head to get the book, he sees both siblings. He suddenly grabbed the book, as did Marty, having a tug o' war session with it.
"Don't even… give me the book! Let it go!" Biff shouts, kicking Marty. The book flew in the air and landed on Biff's windshield. Marty and Ally were still hanging onto the car. "Let go of the car!" Biff shouted. He then spots some barriers ahead of them.
Biff drives down a turn sharply, making the tires squeal loudly. However, they all stayed attached to the car. Biff tried everything he could to knock the siblings off his car. Before he could squish them between the wall of the tunnel and his car, Marty grabbed Ally by the arm and they both hid behind the car.
"That'll teach 'em," Biff laughed, facing the front again. They start making their way around the front. Biff looks in the mirror and his face twists in a snarl. They make their way towards him, but Marty gets elbowed in the face, knocking him backward.
"Leave him alone!" Ally shouted, grabbing Biff by the neck but she got knocked back by a fist to the face, her nose erupting in pain. Biff spots a truck in the distance that was coming in the other direction.
Marty grabbed Ally by the waist and got her on his back. He was able to carry her easily. He also managed to grab the almanac from the windshield, using the hoverboard to escape.
Marty stops in the middle of the tunnel. After putting the almanac in his leather jacket, Ally spoke. They look at the other end, they were close to the other end of it. "Any reason why I'm on your back?" she asked. "Don't argue right now, Ally. Just hang on!" Marty says, starting to push forward.
Ally held onto her brother as tight as she could, both arms were around his neck. Biff was speeding towards them, laughing like a maniac. They almost make it, but they were going so slow.
When they make it to the end of the tunnel, the flag pennant flag dropped for them. Marty grabs onto it, holding Ally tight. They look up and see Doc in the Delorean.
"Go, Doc!" they both shout. "Hold on, you two!" she shouted, pulling them up out of Biff's reach. They look down and watch as Biff crash into a manure truck, cursing loudly. The siblings laugh loudly at this, "Yeah!" "Take that!" Ally shouted.
Doc flew back up to the Lyon's Estate billboard, lowering the siblings onto the road. Both get off of the hoverboard.
There was lightning flashing in the sky, proving that it's gonna be dangerous. Marty pulls out the walkie-talkie, "Doc, is everything alright, over?" he asked. "10-4, Marty. This is very miserable flying weather. I'm gonna have to turn and make a landing from this direction. I'll have to circle around and make a long approach from the south. Have you two got the book?" Doc informed.
Marty pulls it out from his jacket pocket, "In my hands Doc! I got it in my hands!" "Burn it!" Doc says. "Check!" he says into the walkie-talkie.
Marty kicks up the hoverboard and Ally found a lone bucket beside the billboard. After bringing it over to Marty, he puts the book inside of the bucket. Marty then pulls out the matches that he grabbed earlier from the hell that was the alternate 1985.
The siblings glance at one another before Marty lit up the match. Marty drops the match into the bucket, letting the almanac burn. The wind started to pick up more, making their hair blow everywhere.
Ally looked at the matchbook and noticed something on the matchbook. "Marty! Look, the matchbook's changing!" she exclaimed. Marty took a closer look at the matchbook and saw as the cover changed from 'Biff's Pleasure Paradise' to 'Biff Auto Dealing,'
Ally's eyes widened when she saw this and grabbed the newspaper that Doc had shown them before. The paper changed from 'George McFly Murdered' to 'GeorgeGeorgoe McFly Honored,"
"Marty, he's alive! Dad's alive!" Ally exclaimed to her brother, who smiles wide at her. In all of the excitement, Ally took the walkie-talkie and exclaimed in excitement, "Doc! Doc, the newspaper changed! Doc, our father's alive! That means everything's back to normal, right?"
From inside the Delorean, Doc pulls out the newspaper he had. The headline changed from 'Emmett Brown Committed' to 'Emmett Brown Commended'. Doc smiled big when he saw the change, knowing they succeeded in their mission. "Mission accomplished," he said to himself.
"That means Einie and Jennifer are okay, right?!" Ally continued. "That's right, Allison! It's the ripple effect, the future is back! Now, let's go home!" Doc responded. Marty took the walkie-talkie, "Right, Doc! Let's get our asses back to the fut-"
Before Marty could finish, a bolt of lightning struck a tree, bringing it down. "Doc, are you okay?" Marty shouted over the wind. "That was a close one, you two! I almost bought the farm!" Doc responded.
"Well, be careful! You don't wanna get struck by lightning-" Marty spoke. However, Doc does get struck. The Delorean is struck, causing it to spin around and accelerate to 88 mph. With a flash, the flying car vanishes into thin air. All that was left was a pair of fire trails in the sky that looked like the number 99.
The bolt of lightning caused the siblings to fall on their backs. They look up at the sky for a minute, the wind stopped completely. "Doc?" Ally muttered, feeling a bit panicked. Marty tried the walkie-talkie, "Doc, come in, Doc,"
There was no response. "Doc, do you read me? Come in," Marty tries again. All they got from the Delorean was the pennant that was attached to the car, which floated down in front of them. "Oh no… No!" Marty gasped, looking up at the sky. It started to pour down rain a minute later, soaking the siblings.
"Marty, is he… oh god, not again. Please, not again," Ally said, choking up. Marty saw the tears in his sister's eyes and pulled her into a hug. "Doc's gone, Marty. He's gone…" she sobbed into his shoulder.
Behind them, they don't see a van approaching them through the rain, its headlights shining right on them. "Mr. and Ms. McFly?" the man said as he gets out of the car.
"Huh?" the siblings say as they turn around to face the mysterious man. He's wearing a hat and a trench coat. He definitely looked mysterious, holding a black umbrella above his head so he wouldn't get wet. The siblings exchanged puzzled expressions before they look back at the man.
The man walked up to them and said, "Are your names Marty and Ally McFly?" "Yeah? That's us," Marty replied, still confused about who this man was. "I've got something for the two of you," the man said, pulling out a large envelope, "A letter,"
"A letter for us? That's impossible," Marty said, cautiously taking the envelope. Ally pulled back from her brother. "Who the hell are you?" she asked him. "Western Union. Actually, a bunch of us at the office were kinda hoping you two could shed some light on this. You see, we've had that envelope in our possession for the past 70 years," the man explained.
The man kept on talking to them as Marty started to open the envelope. "It was given to us with the explicit instruction that it'd be delivered to a young man and young late with the names Marty and Allison, at this exact location, at this exact minute, November 12, 1955. We had a bet as to whether this Marty and Allison would actually be here. Looks like I lost," the man explained, laughing a couple of times.
Ally glanced up at the man. "Wait, did you say 70 years?" she asked. "Yes, ma'am," the man said, pulling out a clipboard. He asked them to sign it, which they did.
Marty pulls out the letter and they read who it was from. It said, 'Doc' Emmett L. Brown, September 1, 1885,', much to their shock. "It's from the Doc!" Marty exclaimed with a smile. Ally took the letter and started to read it aloud, "Dear Marty and Ally, if my calculations are correct, you will receive this letter immediately after the Delorean was struck by lightning. First, let me assure you two that I'm alive and well. I've been living happily these past eight months in the year 1885. The lightning bolt-" Marty and Ally glance at one another, their eyes lighting.
"September 1885!" Marty exclaimed, "Ally, let's go!" The siblings start to run in the direction of the Hill Valley square. However, the man stopped them. "Wait, kids! What's this all about?" he asked.
Marty turns around to face the man, "He's alive! The Doc's alive! He's in the old west, but he's alive!" The man looked at them curiously. "Are you two alright? Do you two need any help?" he asked. "There's only one man who can help us!" Ally shouted.
Back at the square, 1955 Doc was helping the other Marty and Ally get back to 1985. He slid down the wire and quickly attaches the two wires that detached. The other Delorean quickly disappears back to 1985, much to 1955 Doc's surprise.
He cheered and ran down the pair of fire trails that the Delorean left behind. The present Marty and Ally came sprinting around the corner and came towards Doc. Doc walked to his Packard and doesn't see them.
"Doc! Doc! Doc!" Marty shouted, grabbing Doc by the shoulders to turn him around. "What?" Doc said, turning around to face them. He lets out a scream when he sees the siblings standing in front of him.
"Ghosts!" he shouted, knees weak. "Doc, relax! It's us, Marty and Ally!" Doc was still frightened by this, "No! It can't be the two of you! I just sent you two back to the future!" "Oh, yes, you did, Doc. But, we're back. We're back from the future," Ally said, staring straight at Doc, trying make Doc see what was happening.
