The four rode towards Clara's new cabin, with Marty and Ally a little behind Doc and Clara. One of Clara's horses was carrying her stuff. Marty took the supplies off and he set them on the porch to Clara's cabin.
Doc gestured to her stuff and asked, "May I help you inside with these?" Clara walked on the porch and turned to him and smiled sweetly, "Oh no, that won't be necessary. You've done more than enough already,"
Doc took his hat off and persisted, "It's really no trouble, ma'am," Ally looked at them and said, "Um, Emmett, she said she was covered. We should be going,"
Doc didn't hear what Ally said and he said, "Clara, I'll straighten everything out with Mr. Stantler from the backboard rental... don't you worry about that. I feel somewhat responsible for what happened,"
Clara dreamily replied, "Oh, well, that's very gentlemanly of you, Mr. Brown... Emmett. You know, I'm almost glad that snake spooked those horses. Otherwise, we might have never have met. I suppose it was destiny,"
"You're quite welcome," Doc nodded, giving her a smile. Marty called to Doc, trying again to get his attention, "Uh, Doc, we need to get going," Doc hears what Marty said and finally snapped out of his love daze, "Oh, yes. Excuse us, Clara. We must be going,"
Clara asked him dreamily again, "I will see you again, won't I?" Casually, but knowing he's lying said, "Of course, you'll see lots of me, I'm sure. I have a shop in town. I'm a local scientist... uh... blacksmith,"
Ally rubbed her face with her right hand. Both she and Marty knew that science wasn't around at this time. Doc sunk down himself. But Clara's eyes widened with interest and she asked, "Science? What sort of science? Astronomy? Chemistry?"
Doc became enchanted by Clara again. "Actually, I'm a student of all sciences," he said to her. Marty and Ally were becoming impatient. "Doc, we gotta go," Marty called. "Yeah, let's go," Ally said.
Doc backs out of the yard to Clara's house and closes the gate with a ridiculous look on his face. "Oh, yes, well, excuse us, Clara, we have to get going. Toodle-oo," he waved.
Clara waved back before she went inside the cabin. Doc gets on his horse and the three ride away from the cabin.
Ally, who rode on Marty's right side, blurts out, "Doc, she was the woman you weren't supposed to meet. Look, I'm not against love, but why did you have to screw yourself?"
Marty looks over at him and said, "And why did you say you'd see her again?" Doc looked back at the siblings and said, "Look, I might see her again, but only in passing,"
Marty gave a smirk and he responded, "Ah, come on Doc. You saw the way she looked at you. And I thought I was quite the lady's man," "You have to say that, Marty. How do you think you got Jennifer," Ally said.
"Well, she gave us quite a scare, right? After all, Miss Clayton almost ended up at the bottom of Clayton Ravine," Doc smiled before the words register as he spoke them, "Clayton Ravine..."
Ally realized something as did Marty. "Holy shit! Hey, Doc! Clayton Ravine was named after a teacher," Marty exclaimed in panic. Ally's eyes grew big and she looked at Marty and Doc, "They say she fell down there a hundred years ago!"
Doc cried incredulously, "A hundred years ago? That's this year!" Marty continued, "Every kid in school knows that story because we all have teachers we'd like to see fall into the ravine,"
"Yep, even Strickland. I can't be the only one to think that," Ally added, "No offense, but he's an asshole," Doc stopped his horse and exclaimed, "Great Scott! Then she was supposed to go over! And now... I may have seriously altered history,"
"Doc, can we just get the Delorean and get the hell out of here?" Ally asked. "Yeah, what's the worst that can happen? So what they don't name the ravine after her?" Marty added.
Doc ignored what they said and he shook his head, "I wish I never invented that infernal time machine. It's caused nothing but disaster..."
He then rode away from the siblings. "You think he wants to destroy the Delorean?" Ally asked, looking at Marty as they rode back to the shop. "Yeah, I think so. It's for the best," Marty replied.
