"C'mon, Doc, wake up," Marty said, shaking him by the shoulders. "Let's go, c'mon," Ally added.
Suddenly, a deep gruff voice called out, "Are you in there, Eastwood?!" Marty and Ally felt their hearts jump into their throats. Marty peeked through the front window; he sees Buford on the other side.
"Marty, is it?" Ally asked, her heart racing. "Yeah..." Marty said. Ally shook her head in disbelief. "Dammit, we don't have time for this!" she swore.
"It's 8:00! And I'm calling you out!" Buford called, looking like he was gonna pull out his gun at any moment. Ally wasn't having this; she's had enough. She stood up from Doc and cautiously stepped forward.
"Look, we don't have time for this! So you leave my brother out of your affairs!" she shouted through the glass. Marty grabbed Ally by the arm, dumbfounded that she would go against Buford like that.
"What the hell are you doing?" He whispered. "Saving your ass," She answered.
"Listen here, Missy! Either he comes out or I'm coming in after him! Either way, you're mine once he's dealt with!" Buford shouted.
Ally felt disgusted that Buford would even say that. Like he'll she was going with this asshole. Even Marty wouldn't let that happen.
They looked at the photo again, which read, 'Here lies Clint Eastwood,' Marty looked at his sister, wanting to keep her safe as much as possible.
"Look, I'm not up for it today! So I'm gonna have to forfeit!" He called out.
Bufprd raised a brow at that word.. "Forfeit? Forfeit!" He yelled before turning to look at one of his gang members, "What's that mean?"
"Uh... I think it means win without a fight," the member said. "Without shooting? He can't do that," Buford said before looking at Marty again, "Hey, you can't do that! You know what I think? I think you're a gutless yellowbelly!"
Marty squinted those words sting and he gritted his teeth, squinting his eyes in anger. "Marty, calm down," Ally said, pulling him back. He looked down at her, his expression changing.
"You hear me, runt! You better get out here, you gutless yell pie slinger!" Buford yelled. Marty stared wide-eyed at everyone around him, including Ally. She was looking at him worriedly.
"He's an asshole!" Marty said with a sudden shoulder shrug. Ally smiled proudly at her brother. He learned not to take insults seriously. "I don't care what Tannen says! And I don't care what anybody else says either!" He continued.Just then, Doc stood up, holding his throbbing head. Marty and Ally rush over to him. "Doc, you okay?" Marty asked. "Yeah, you took a hard fall earlier!" Ally added.
"Oh... I got a giant headache," Doc muttered, swaying a but. Marty turns to Chester and asked, "Is there a back door here?" "Yeah, it's back there, " Chester replied.
The siblings thank him and drag Doc through the back door to avoid Buford. "Oh, times like these, I really miss Tylenol," Doc muttered as they went down a flight of stairs.
A member of Buford's crew saw the trio escape through the back door. Marty's hand slipped from Ally's as he jumped into another shop with a stove, which Marty bumped into, knocking the stove door off.
Doc and Ally hid behind water barrels, but they didn't stay hidden for . Marty heard a goon say to them, "Got the blacksmith and the pretty lady here!"
One gang member kept his arm wrapped around a struggling Ally to keep her from escaping. Doc was held by the other two.
"Listen up, Eastwood! I intend to shoot somebody today and I prefer it to be you! But you're just too damn yelled, I guess it'll be either your blacksmith here or this little lady!" Buford shouted, keeping his gun drawn.
"Marty, forget about me! Save yourself and Ally!" Doc yelled. Buford looked around for Marty, nor knowing where he was. "You got one minute to decide. You hear me, runt? One minute!" He called.
"No, you can't, you bastard!" Ally yelled out. She had a horrified look on her face, knowing what was gonna happen. Buford looked over at her and held the barrel of the gun to her chin, causing her breath to hitch. "Keep your mouth shut, missy, or I'll make the decision to put the bullet to your skull," he threatened.
That was the last straw for Marty. Putting Doc in danger is one thing but Putting his little sister in it is another thing. "Prepare to meet your maker, blacksmith," Buford said, bringing the gun to Doc.
"Back off, Tannen!" Marty yelled. Buford turns around and sees Marty walk out in the street, both eyes focused on Buford. A crowd draws in; everybody who was in the saloon comes out along with the townspeople nearby.
Marty shot him a look and said, "Let them go, Tannen! This doesn't concern them!" Buford shot him the same look and replied, "Not gonna happen, runt. Now draw."
Marty looked at Doc and Ally, knowing what he should do. "No!" He said, removing the gun and belt from his waist, dropping it to the ground.
"I thought we could settle this like men!" Marty said, gulping. There is a pause before Buford says, "You thought wrong, dude,"
In that moment, Buford pulls out his gun and shoots Marty in the chest, causing him to fly on his back.
Ally's eyes widened in horror, her mouth agap as she witnessed her brother get shot. It was the same reaction as when Doc got shot by those terrorists in 1985. "NO!!! MARTY!" she wailed, breaking free of Buford's gang member and running to her brother.
"Marty? Marty, please wake up..." she said, kneeling next to him. He wasn't moving at all. She felt tears run down her face as she started to cry.
Doc had tears in his eyes when he saw Ally cry like this. He understood just how much Marty meant to not only her but to himself as well. Marty meant the world to them.
Ally couldn't lose her brother and lived him more than life itself. Losing him would cause her to break down into nothingness. She didn't deserve that.
Doc regretted ever inventing that infernal time machine. He couldn't help but feel responsible for what happened. Why did he have to wallow in his sarrows at the saloon instead of going back to the campfire?
He watched as Buford swaggered towards Marty and Ally. It sickened Doc that Buford was proud of taking a teenager's life and threatening to kill a 15-year-old girl.
Did Biff from the alternate 1985 feel like this after killing George? It angered Doc even more.
Ally rested her head on Marty's chest and stopped crying suddenly. Something wasn't right. She felt his chest moving and she also felt something metal underneath his tunic.
As Buford approached Marty, Marty's right foot swings up and he managed to kick Buford's gun right out of his hand. "Marty, you're..." Ally gasped happily.
He quickly stands up, much to the shock of Buford. Buford goes to punch Marty in the chest, but he nearly breaks his hand from how hard it was. Said punch didn't even affect Marty at all.
He pulls back the tunic to reveal the stove door, completely protecting his chest.
"Gimme a second, Ally," Marty said with a smile, taking the 19th century stove door off of his chest.
He swings it against Buford's head as hard as he could, knocking Buford to the ground. "Mind helping me take down this son of a bitch, Annie Oakely?" Marty asked his sister.
"Sure thing, Clint Eastwood, " Ally said with a smile. She was ready to take this asshole down. The second Buford stood back up, Marty swung his right fist across Buford's face, making his head fling back.
Ally throws her fist at Buford. managing to punch him across the face. "That's for almost killing my brother, you bastard!" she swore at him.
The punch was strong enough to knock Buford into the tombstone from the picture. After getting up, both Marty and Ally punch him, making him fall head first in the A. Jones manure cart.
Ally and Marty grin at each other happily as they saw deputies rush over on horseback. "You know what I think, I think Buford's going to jail," a gang member said. The others agree with him and they take off running, letting Doc go.
hate manure..." Buford muttered, spitting a chunk of manure out of his mouth. The trio were happy the Buford and his crew would be brought to justice.
Marty cooled down his wrist as well as Ally. He flashed her and Doc a smile. Ally suddenly hugged Marty tightly. "I'm okay, Ally. What's the matter?" He asked, taken aback by Ally's action.
"I thought he killed you, Marty. God, it scared me to death," she replied, letting go of him. "I'm okay, Ally. Trust me, I wasn't about to let that asshole take me down. Sorry that I scared you," Marty said, feeling slightly guilty.
She smacked him in the chest. "You better be. I told you not to scare me like that again," she replied, giving him a look.
Doc then realized that the tombstone was the same one as in the picture Ally had taken. "Look!" He said, pointing it out to the siblings.
Ally took out the picture, holding it out for them to see. They all watched as the tombstone had completely vanished from the picture. "Yes!" Marty exclaimed, fist bumping the air. "Finally!" Ally cheered, having the biggest smile on her face.
They can finally go back to 1985 without an issue. The train whistle rang in the distance. The trio perked up at the sound. "The train!" they all said.
"Can we make it?" Marty asked worriedly. "We'll have to cut off through Coyote Pass!" Doc said, frowning at the tracks or rather lack of.
The trio quickly mount their horses before they were stopped by a little boy. "Mister, Mr Eastwood? Here's your gun," the kid said, handing Marty his gun.
Marty leaned over and took the gun. "Thanks kid," he said. "Miss Oakley, you dropped your hat, " the kid said, handing Ally her hat. "Thanks," she said.
The siblings look at their great-great-grandfather and their great-great-aunt. They grin and roll their fists, both faking a punch, showing they watched what Marty and Ally did.
"Seamus!" Marty called, throwing his gun and belt to him, "Worth $12, never been used," "Aye, maybe I'll trade it for a new hat," Seamus said, looking at the gun.
"You take care of that baby!" Ally called, riding off with Doc and Marty to catch the train. "I will!" Seamus called after them.
