"Let's go," Marty said, pulling Ally along. They turn and jog away from the police station. They make their way to the Soup Kitchen. The top of it said, 'Sisters of Mercy Soup Kitchen'.
Marty opened the door and the two stepped inside. The interior as any soup kitchen should look. There were three
picnic tables, a bar with pots and silverware sitting atop it. Bowls
and trays were underneath the top. At the table by the front door was a guy who looked a little older than the siblings.
He wore a white hat that had red leather around it. He also looked similar to George McFly. He was eating a bowl of soup.
Standing at the stove was a guy who was rounded and wore an irish cap. Marty and Ally walked through the dining area to where the phone was. Ally, Marty, and the guy at the table were rubbing their necks the same way.
Just then, two men walked through the door. One was wearing a grey suit and hat, the other was wearing a dark purple stripped suit and purple hat. "McFly!" the guy in the purple suit said.
Marty and Ally both turn around and see the two guys."Biff!" Marty whispered, his eyes widening. "No, I don't think that's Biff..." Ally said, getting a closer look. The guy looked just like Biff, but it wasn't him.
The guy approached the guy sitting at the table, having an intimidating look. The guy sitting at the table looked up at the
intimidating face. "Kid!" he said.
The realization hits the duo like lightning that the guy at the table was George's father, their grandfather. "Grandpa?" the both whisper in astonishment.
"That's Mister Tannen to you, Artie! What're you doing out here?" Kid scowled at Artie. "Well, I was getting kind of hungry, so Icame down here for some free soup-" Artie started, but he was
interrupted by Kid's mocking laugh.
"Just thought I'd come down for some
soup-' Think, McFly! The D.A.'s throwing around subpoenas like Babe Ruth-" Kid said, narrowing his eyes.
"I don't think Ruth's a pitcher anymore-" Artie pointed out. "Shut it! If one of those subpoenas landed in the hands of my number-cruncher, I'd be in a whole lot of trouble. I could even sent up thee
river. You wouldn't want that, would you?" Kid said, looking from his accomplice to Artie.
When Artie didn't answer him, he rested his hands on the table and leaned towards Artie threateningly. "WOULD YOU?" he said more quietly.
"No, of course not, Kid," Artie replied timidly. "Alright, that's better," Kid said, before looking at Marty and Ally, who were still watching them. "What're you two punks looking at?" Kid said. Marty instinctively stepped a bit closer to Ally to protect her.
"Keep your eyes on the soup, you two," the guy at the stove said."Well?" Kid said, turning his attention back to Artie. "Well,
what?" Artie asked. "What're you still doing here?" Kid asked again.
Artie stood up from the picnic bench hurriedly, "Sorry, Kid, I'll just run back to the safe house," Artie said. "You do that. And McFly?" Kid said just as Artie was walking out of the door.
"Yes?" Artie said, turning back around. "That hat's too flashy. You better let me hang on to," Kid said, taking Artie's hat off of his head. "Aw..." Artie groaned, looking sad.
'Jeez, what an asshole, 'Ally thought, referring to Kid. She glanced up at her brother for a minute, who looked back at her,
Artie then leaves the Soup Kitchen. "And don't come out until I give you the all clear!" Kid shouted after him, "I swear, even if one of you mooks could add two plus two without your fingers, I'd dump that wimp into the lake,"
"Hey!" the guy at the soup pot said. "Anyway, I'm off to make myself irresistable. Don't let anyone burn down the shop while I'm gone," Kid instructed, leaving the Soup Kitchen with his
accomplice.
"Huh. Interesting," Ally said. Marty rolled his eyes at this. "All the Tannen's are the same," he said, walking to the telephone
that was hanging on the wall beside the kitchen area. "I'll stay here, Marty. See if you can find out if Doc's younger self is at his house," Ally said, leaning against a square pillar.
Marty turned towards her in concern. "You feeling okay?" he asked, putting the back of his hand to her forehead. "You're a
little warm. Maybe we should head back and tell Doc," Marty said, reeling his hand back.
"No, we're on a mission. We gotta get that powerdrill," Ally replied, swallowing hard. "Ally, remember what I said before
coming here," Marty said sternly. "Marty, be fine, I'll sit down at the picnic table," Ally said, trying to hide that she was feeling a little off.
"Alright. Last thing I want is for you to pass out," Marty said, helping her sit down. Afterward, he goes to the phone and dials the number that Doc had given him. While he was talking, Ally leaned against the table, resting her elbows on it.
She held her throbbing head up with her hands. They were on a mission so she couldn't afford to pass out now.
She couldn't figure out why she was feeling like this. Was it because all of this time traveling is causing her stress? It had to be; there was no other explanation.
Marty called up Doc's place but was told that his younger self was working at the courthouse, which they were never told about. He hung the phone up and walked back over to Ally, who was trying
to fight off a headache.
"Bad news, Doc's younger self is at the courthouse. Apparently, he used to work there," Marty said, approaching Ally. "Oh really? We.. We were never told about that..." Ally said, looking up at
him.
Marty saw that she was even more pale, worrying him even more. "Jeez.. Ally, you look like you're about to pass out..."
Marty said worriedly. Ally couldn't lie to him anymore about being fine.
"I don't feel very good, Marty..." she said, feeling sick, "I don't wanna stop the mission. We.. We gotta get that power-drill," "We can't do it as long as you're sick, Ally. Knowing Doc, he'll
understand," Marty said, rubbing his sister's shoulder comfortly.
Ally looked at her brother, knowing that he was right. She couldn't even stand up without the risk of collapsing from
exhaustion. "Can you walk?" Marty asked.
I don't think so, Marty," she replied. Okay, stay here. I'll go tell Doc what's going on," Marty said. Ally nods at this, crossing her
arms on the table and resting her head on her arms.
Marty rubbed her back once more before he left the Soup Kitchen. He made his way over to Doc's cell.
"Doc!" Marty called, cupping his hands around his mouth. Doc hears Marty's voice and turns around to face the teen. "What's going on, Marty? Where's Allison?" Doc asked, noticing that Marty was by himself.
"That's the thing, Doc. Something's wrong with her. Ever since we got here, she's been looking really pale and looked like she was gonna pass out. I said if she was feeling like this, we would need to go back to the Delorean. She can't even walk, Doc,"
Marty explained.
"Great Scott, this isn't good," Doc said in shock. "What can we do, Doc? We can't get the power-drill while she's like this, " Marty cried, his heart pounding from how anxious he was feeling.
"You're right we can't Listen, there's a motel that you can take her too. I stayed there before I Was arrested, Tell them that
you're my nephew and niece, Tell them had been expecting the both of you, they'll let you two in," Doc instructed.
"Okay, what is it and what room are you staying in?" Martyasked. "It's the BlueBird Motel. The room I'm in is 174," Doc
answered. Marty nodded and went back to the Soup Kitchen.
When he got there, he made his way over to Ally, who was still in the same position as when he left. He knelt down next to Ally and ran his hand along her back.
"Hmm?" AIly tiredly moaned, having accidently fallen asleep on the bench. "Doc said there's a motel that we can go to where you can lay down, Just wrap your arm around my shoulders," Marty said, taking Ally's left arm and throwing it around his shoulder.
"But you said..." Ally said, feeling herself being lifted up from the bench. "I know, Ally. But you'll never make it there without you falling over. That motel is the closest we'll get for now, Doc understood that you're not feeling good," Marty said, leading her out of the Soup Kitchen.
(Bluebird Motel)
Marty had found the motel that Doc was talking about and he was able to get in the room Doc was talking about. Ally was resting on the queen sized bed. She was sleeping uncomfortably.
Marty stayed by her the whole time while she slept. He needed to stay by her while she was sick; just as he had always done.
After about three hours, Ally started to stir. Marty perked up immediately. "Ally? You okay? he asked softly. Ally jerked a
little bit before opening her eyes.
"Marty? Is that you? she groggily asked.Yeah, it's me. You okay?" he asked, taking her hand, which was warm.Yeah... I
think so, " she replied, starting to sit up
Take it easy, Marty said, helping her sit up. Ally rubbed her head with her hand. How re you feeling? Marty asked. A bit
better. Thanks for helping me, Marty, Ally said, pushing the blankets off of herself.
"You're my little sister, I have to look out for you," Marty said.
Ally managed a smiled at her brother. She loved just how caring he really was. It was amazing that they hardly ever butted heads, which is something that a lot of siblings did. But Marty and Ally
had always been close ever since they were little kids.
The fifteen-year-old felt a dull throbbing in her head as she sat up, swinging her legs over the edge of the bed. "Does your head
hurt?" Marty asked in concern. "A little," Ally answered honestly.
Marty went to see if there was any aspirin in the bathroom. Luckily, he found a bottle and he grabbed a glass of water. When
he came back, she was lying back down. "Here, I found some aspirin. This should help," he said, sitting back down.
Ally felt her brother rubbing her arm in a comforting way, feeling assured. She opened her eyes and pushed herself upwards. "Thanks, Marty.. God, I don't know what made me feel like this,"
Ally said, taking the aspirin and drinking the water.
"Maybe too much time traveling. There's no way you could be vanishing. After we get Doc back, we're gonna in 1986," Marty
Sounds good," Ally agreed. "You feeling better?" Marty asked. "Yeah, I'm okay now," Ally said, feeling the headache vanish.
She pushed herself up but almost lost her balance. "Whoa, easy." Marty said, helping her stand. After a minute, she was
able to regain her balance. "If you feel off again, you need to tell me, okay?" Marty said. "Okay, I will," Ally said.
Now that Ally was feeling better, they could return back to the
mission at hand.
