Chapter 5:
Everyone finds themselves on the island. "Is everyone here," asks Captain Nemo.
"We're here," says Mr. X.
"But are you here," Alex asks Mr. X.
"Good, the Heart of the Jaguar awaits," says Captain Nemo.
"Question from one legitimate criminal to another," says Alex, "by the way, like that rock band joke I played? Anway, why is stealing a cat's heart so important?"
"It's not a literal heart," says Captain Nemo, "long ago, the first mystery solving team, the Hunters of Secrets, wanted to destroy a great evil, so they created a spear they called the Heart of the Jaguar, based on their pet jaguar, Spot. But before they could use it, the Fernando El Aguirre's conquistadors came and found and took it, believing it to be a great treasure. They hid it on this island and once we find it, we are going to be very rich!"
"Now, when you say 'very rich'…" Josie pulls Alexander away…
"I doubt they're the Secret Six," says Captain Nemo.
"Well, we don't know what the Secret Six looks like," says Scorpion.
"Keep an eye on them," says Captain Nemo.
"If they try anything, the Evil Eye will hypnotize them," says Evil Eye. He then laughs.
...
"What are you doing," asks Josie.
"You want us working with criminals," asks Valerie.
"Okay, look, hear me out," says Alex, "if we tell them who we really are, they might kill us, but if we help them, we could get a share of the money! Besides, is it illegal to take a spear that doesn't really belong to anyone anymore? Think of it as an archaeology gig? That's a thing, right?"
"No," says Valerie.
"I thought archaeology was a thing," says Alan.
"You bonehead," says Alexandra.
"Hey, why are you even here," asks Valerie.
"My mom made me take her," says Alex.
Josie sighs. "Let's just go along with this," says Josie, "and hope none of those guys find out we're actually a band, a band's manager, a roadie, and… whatever Alexandra could contribute!"
...
"I heard them," says Mr. X, "pays to be invisible. They're a band, a band's manager, a roadie, and… whatever that skunk-haired girl could contribute!"
"I knew it," says Captain Nemo, "they're far too young to be the Secret Six, plus the cat! We'll have to deal with them! Let's go!"
...
Everyone heads off to follow the map Captain Nemo has.
