Super Smash Bros
-A smashing story-
Prologue
A storm rages in the void. Winds howl through a shattered, floating battlefield—fragments of stone and broken pathways suspended in midair. The air crackles with an unnatural energy, lightning arcing through the endless abyss below. This is Bowser in the Sky, the final battleground—a pocket dimension hidden within Peach's Castle, twisted by dark magic.
At the far edge of the battlefield, standing near the brink of the abyss, a lone figure watches the swirling storm above. The Hooded One, cloaked in shadow, remains motionless. His face is obscured beneath his hood, his posture unreadable as he gazes at the chaos of the skies.
A ripple distorts the air behind him. A portal tears open, warping the very fabric of the dimension. From within its swirling depths, a towering figure steps through—King Bowser. Each heavy footstep causes the fractured platform beneath him to tremble. His spiked shell gleams under the flashing lightning, his glowing eyes filled with triumph. He halts in the center of the arena, facing the Hooded One.
"It is done." Bowser's deep, guttural voice cuts through the storm. His fangs gleam in the dim light as he revels in his success. "The Power Stars are mine. The Toads are trapped. The Princess is sealed within the castle. No one can stop me now."
The Hooded One does not turn to face him, but his voice—calm, yet heavy with unspoken intent—replies. "I'm glad to have helped… After all, you did free me."
Bowser grins, stepping forward. "Indeed. And thanks to your power, nothing in this world can oppose me." His claws flex, embers of raw energy sparking from them.
The Hooded One finally moves, turning his head slightly. "Now, about our deal…" His voice is smooth, deliberate.
Bowser grins, "Yes.. I have my Loyal Subject Kamek handling that as we speak. You will get what you asked for."
"Good. And did you bring the Power Star?" The Hooded one asked.
Bowser smirks, lifting his massive claw. With a deep, guttural chuckle, he conjures the Jumbo Power Star. It materializes in midair, spinning slowly, its radiant glow cutting through the darkness. The air hums with energy as the golden star radiates power, illuminating the Hooded One's form.
He finally turns, gazing upon the Power Star in silent awe. "Incredible… So this is a Power Star." He steps forward, his presence unnervingly still despite the roaring winds around him. He extends a hand toward the star, hesitating for only a moment. "Tell me… is it true that it grants power to the one who wields it?"
Bowser nods, his grin widening. "Yes. As long as you keep it, its power is yours."
"I see."
The Hooded One reaches out, and the moment his fingers graze the star, the arena trembles. A surge of pure energy floods into him, arcs of golden light dancing around his form. Bowser watches, his eyes narrowing as he senses something… different. The very air around the Hooded One distorts as an unseen force pulses outward from him.
The Hooded One can feel the power course through him. His vision shifts—a golden aura appears before him, like a guiding beacon in the distance.
Bowser's voice rumbles through the storm. "Did it work?"
The Hooded One can see a faint golden glow. His voice is measured, filled with an eerie certainty. "Yes… I can feel it. The power flows through me." He exhales slowly. "With this… I will finally find what I seek."
Bowser watches him carefully. There is something unreadable about the Hooded One's presence now—something deeper than mere power.
The Hooded One turns slightly, facing the swirling portal opening before him. There is a pause, a moment of lingering finality. "This is farewell.. for now."
Bowser's grin fades slightly. "Leaving already?"
"Indeed. I have something I must do." The Hooded One glances over his shoulder, his voice distant. "This world is yours now. Do as you will with it. I will return when the time is right."
With that, he steps into the portal, and in an instant, he is gone. The portal vanishes behind him, leaving only the howling winds and the echoes of power in his wake.
Bowser remains still for a moment, staring at the empty space where the Hooded One once stood. Then, slowly, his grin returns—wider, sharper. He throws back his head and lets out a thunderous laugh, a victorious roar that shakes the very foundations of the dimension.
Meanwhile..
A swirling vortex opens in the Dark World, deep beneath Peach's Castle—a shadowy domain separate from reality. Bowser steps through the portal, where his most loyal generals await.
Gathered before him are his six commanders:
King Bob-omb – The warlord of the mountains.
Whomp King – The iron-fisted ruler of the stone citadel.
Big Boo – The phantom lord of the haunted domain.
Big Bully Chill Bully – Twin enforcers of fire and ice.
Wiggler – The wrathful beast of the deep jungle.
Bowser surveys them with satisfaction. "Good work."
His words are met with cheers of allegiance. Each of them kneels before their king, awaiting his command.
Bowser raises his claw, and with a wave of his hand, six Power Stars appear, hovering before them. Their golden glow illuminates the dark realm. "You will each rule your own domain. Do with them as you please—guard your Power Stars well." His eyes narrow, his voice dripping with menace. "This is where the fun begins! Mario will surely come. When he does, I have a proposition. I will reward anyone who successfully captures him and brings him to me. Do not fail me…" He lets the unspoken threat linger.
The generals bow. "Understood."
With a dismissive wave, Bowser watches as they disappear into their own portals, each vanishing into their respective worlds. Bowser's plan is now set in motion.
With his power. Bowser calls Kamek, his most trusted sorcerer. A small portal opens, and Kamek can see the image of Bowser appear beside him.
Kamek appeared to be somewhere in the sky, he was on his broomstick floating in mid air "Yes, Lord Bowser?" He replied.
"Kamek, Begin Phase Two.."
Kamek smirks, adjusting his glasses. "It will be done, sire." Then the Call ends.
Just then, two Lakitus approach cautiously. One stammers, "And… what about us, Lord Bowser?"
Bowser narrows his eyes, then smirks. "I have special tasks for both of you. One of you will follow Mario—recording his every move. The other…" His grin sharpens. "You will stay here, showing me the live feed of everything that happens. I want to watch every moment of his struggle."
"Yes, Lord Bowser." They responded.
"Now go! We must make sure everything is perfect before Mario gets here!" Bowser roared.
The two Lakitu's bolted away to do their tasks like their life depended on it.
As the shadows of the Dark World swirl around him, Bowser lets out one final, guttural laugh, his voice echoing through the abyss.
"Finally… Mario will fall. And the Mushroom Kingdom will be mine."
