They started on their Journey following the newly revealed map. Anthanasia kept up the best she could but her wound was slowing them down which she was painfully aware of. "Hey, need a break?" David asked her and Mary Margaret. "No, we're good." Anthanasia answered, noticing his heavy breathing. "Sounds like you need a break though."
"No, no. I'm good." He said neither women buying it. "David Nolan let himself go." His wife teased as Anthanasia moved on not wanting to be caught in their flirty banter. "How much further?" Regina asked, looking around. Anthanasia pulled out the map and looked at it. "We should be getting closer. Pan's there. We are on a straight line course…" she frowned. "Son of a bitch." She growled as she saw that Pan's camp was behind them. "How is it behind us?" she asked, truly confused.
"How can that be?" Emma asked. "You got us lost." Regina snapped. Killian held up the lamp so he could get a better look at it over Anthanasia's shoulder. "No, she didn't. It's the camp. Pan's moving it." Killian explained. "If it keeps moving how are we going to find Henry?" Emma asked, frustrated. "So this whole trek has been for nothing?" disappointed didn't even begin to cover how she felt.
"I told you walking was idiotic. I suggest using magic. We can materialize in the camp and grab Henry." Regina looked at them. "We don't know where the camp is. Have you not been listening?" Mary Margarete argued. "Pan'll have shields against magic, I fear. Such an attempt would end in your death and more importantly, mine and Nasia's. That's why we are walking."
"Well then, what's your idea? How are we going to find it?" Regina challenged folding her arms. "By using someone he trusts." Anthanasia's eyes lit up. "Who? Cause I guess, he certainly doesn't trust you." David asked. "A fairy who lived here when I was about. She might still be on the island. She'd be an inside source, knows all about the camp, can get us in. She might even have some pixie dust left. Perhaps we could fly." Killian said.
Anthanasia shifted uncomfortably and he wrapped his arm around her supporting most of her wait again. She looked up at him, thankful. "You mean fairy dust?" Emma asked. "No, pixie dust. It's stronger. Like nuclear fairy dust." David told his daughter. "Wait. A fairy? Tinker Bell?" Emma asked in disbelief. "DO you know her?" Anthanasia asked, surprised. "Every kid in the world knows her." She answered. "That's a bad idea. Mark my words; This Tinker Bell is not going to save us."
They set up camp for the night when Regina wouldn't budge on the subject. Anthanasia was glad for the opportunity to rest. "Emma there is another way." Regina told Emma as they sat in front of the fire. "Is there?" Emma asked skeptically. "Magic." Anthanasia rolled her eyes. "Didn't we just go through this?" She asked, shifting uncomfortably. "I'm not talking about my magic. I'm talking about ours." Regina argued.
"I'm not interested. One thing I've learned is, it always comes with a price." Emma said, shaking her head. "Sometimes not using it comes with a price to. I bet you two and I combined are strong enough to overpower pan." Regina continued. "What if it's not? I am not taking a chance like that. We're talking about Henry's life." Emma said glaring at Regina. "I am aware of that." Regina snapped.
"Look, I know you don't like this plan. Let's just see it through. At least, we can see if we find Tinker Bell." Anthanasia said shifting again. "Do you think it is the best plan because your boyfriend came up with it?" Regina snapped. "My boyfriend?" Anthanasia asked incredulously. Regina got up and stormed off. "We head for Tinker Bell's first thing in the morning." Emma called after the fuming Queen.
They all settled in to sleep. Killian was beside Anthanasia again, both leaning against the tree. Her head rested on his shoulder and she was out. She didn't even eat dinner. She was exhausted. The wound was taking a lot out of her. Anthanasia woke the next morning feeling worse, if possible. It was early, the sun barely peeking over the horizon, casting little light upon the island.
The air was chilled with the morning dew making her shiver. She tried to stretch but groaned in pain. She felt movement beside her and turned her head to see Killian still propped against the tree snoring quietly. Slowly she got to her feet and headed for the stream not far away trying not to wake anyone. The wound needed to be cleaned. That was obvious. Dousing it with the water the day it happened hadn't been enough to properly clean the wound. She removed all her clothes and slid into the water slowly. The water hit her wound and she cried out in pain but bit her lip to quickly silence herself. Maybe she wasn't as fine as she had originally thought. Every time anyone would try to fawn over her she would assure them that she was fine.
Killian woke to the sound of a cry in the distance. Groggily he blinked looking beside him, only to find Anthanasia's spot empty. Immediately he was wide awake. He climbed to his feet and went in search of her. He was worried, what if something had happened to her? Had Pan decided to attack her? A million thoughts ran through his head.
He rushed through the trees and bushes but stopped short when he found her. She was in a stream bathing. Her fist was balled against her side and her face was contorted in pain. "Love?" he asked, stepping toward her. Her eyes shot open. "I'm fin…" She stopped when she saw his face and sighed. "Maybe I'm not as fine as I thought." She mumbled admitting defeat. Killian chuckled, shaking his head at her. "Don't laugh at me." She hissed. "Come on love. Out of the water." He picked up her jacket and held it out to her, closing his eyes.
"Oh please, you have seen more than I have to offer." She scoffed while wading through the water toward him. "It's called respect, love." He said his eyes still closed. She stepped onto the land and the air hit her wound drawing yet another pained cry from her lips. Killian's eyes shot open. She was hunched over her arm wrapped around her abdomen protectively. Killian closed the distance between them and wrapped her jacket around her and led her over to the tree where the rest of her clothes lay.
"Let me see." She raised an eyebrow. "Let me put some clothes on first." He turned his back, rolling his eyes. "weren't you the one mocking me but a few moments ago?" he asked as she pulled on her pants and tunic. ""Well you are being so respectful. Corrupting you would be bad form." She teased using his favorite saying. She sat beneath the tree cringing.
"I'm dressed." Killian turned back around to see her with damp curls and clean skin. A truly beautiful sight. "Alright, let me have a look." She lifted her tunic and his eyes widened. The burn was a violent red with the edges turning purple. It looked so much worse than just a few nights ago. "I think it's infected." She nodded, biting her lip as he gently prodded at it.
"We will be at Tink's before nightfall. Can you make it that long, love." Again she raised one perfectly arched eyebrow at him. "I am not on my deathbed Killian. Of course I will make it." He chuckled. Anthanasia slipped into her boots and he helped her into her corset. She winced as he began to tighten the laces. "I'm sorry." He apologized. "It's fine." Well it was better than her saying she was fine.
They returned to the camp before anyone else noticed they were missing. Killian helped her back to her feet and supported her weight as they walked. Eventually, he traded off and Emma helped her walk. Killian fell into step with David. "So are you going to tell her?" Killian asked. "Tell her what?" David said looking confused. "I saw what happened to you, mate. Let me see." Looking around David lifted his shirt when he made sure no one would notice.
He had a cut on the side of his ribcage and black veins branched out, off of it. "The arrow only nicked me." He explained. "I'm sorry mate." Killian said, meaning it. "Do you know how long?" David asked. "Days, weeks at most. You won't see Summer. It's really bad, mate. You might want to tell them." David shook his head. "No." Killian sighed. "Well, you have to." David shook his head again. "Maybe I don't."
"How's that?" he asked, glancing back at Anthanasia. "Pixie dust. You believe in the Tinker Bell's power? In her pixie dust?" Killina nodded. "Indeed, I do." He answered honestly. "Then let's get her and that dust."
Anthanasia noticed Regina trailing behind them. She pushed Emma ahead and waited for Regina. "Hey." She said falling into step beside her. "Hey." Regina answered sourly. "You're falling behind. Killian thinks her place isn't far from her. Come on." Regina slowed her pace a little more to accommodate her's, she wasn't looking good.
"Well, if she still lives there. You waste your time searching. I'll wait." Regina said, shaking her head. "What did you do to her?" Anthanasia asked, frowning. "What? Why would you assume I did something?" Regina asked feigning offence. "You've met her before, right. In the Enchanted Forest. What did you do? Kill her brother? Steal her halo?" She asked teasing on the last bit.
"She is not an angel. Okay…we have a complicated history." Regina finally admitted. "I knew that." Anthansia said her step faltering a little. "You don't need to know all the details. But if she sees me she won't help. And if she's the way in, well then, trust me, my staying out of her sight is probably best for Operation Henry."
Anthanasia smiled a little. "Operation Henry?" she asked. "That's what I've been calling it in my head because…" she trailed off as Emma joined them. "That's what he would have called it." She said, smiling at Henry's other mother.
Anthanasia left the two alone so they could talk about their son and went back to Killian. He wrapped his arm around her and went back to carrying her weight again. Throughout the day her condition worsened. Anthanasia broke into a cold sweat a little after the sun had reached its peak in the sky. Shivering, she tried to keep a good pace. She had paled and was growing tired.
"Let me sit." She instructed breathlessly. Killian gently set her on a boulder. "We only have a little bit further to go." Mary Margaret tried to comfort her daughter by handing her the water which she drank thirstily. "This is ridiculous! She is slowing us down." Regina growled pushing past the group that was fawning over her. She placed her hands over the wound. "It wont work." Anthanasia gasped, feeling her hands on the wound. "Just watch."
Anthanasia sighed heavily and let Regina try. Regina closed her eyes and concentrated. Sending all her magic to her hands. After a few minutes she opened her eyes expecting to see her perfect unmarred skin. Instead she saw the angry red burn that had started to blaken around the edges. "I told you." Anthanasia breathed. But how?" Regina asked, confused. "All magic comes with a price." She quoted Rumpelstiltskin. "Can we discuss this later?" David asked, his voice laced with worry. "Killian." David called him over. "She won't make it at this pace, she is slowing us down by walking." David admitted.
"Aye. You and your wife go ahead, let Tink know what happened." David nodded and went to get his wife. They spoke quietly before going ahead of the group. When she was ready Killian lifted Anthanasia into his arms, thankful she didn't protest. Instead she wrapped her arm around his neck and used the other to hold the wound, protecting it from further damages.
She fell asleep soon after they started walking again, her head lulling against his shoulder. Worry began to build in his chest as her condition worsened by the minute. Emma glanced over at her sister periodically, her own worry getting the best of her. They were relieved when they spotted the small hut ahead. He kissed her damp forehead. "You'll be okay, love." He promised.
"No one's home. Come on up." David said as they approached. "Where would it be?" David asked, searching for the pixie dust. "She won't just leave pixie dust lying around, mate, It's not here. I promise." Killina snapped just as irritated. Gently he laid Anthanasia down on what appeared to be a bed. She stirred but did not wake.
Emma entered and looked around. "It's pretty bare. Reminds me of some place. I thought a tree house would be more cheerful. Where I used to live. That's it." She said more to herself than anyone else. "Because it's just a place to sleep." Mary Margaret said, sitting beside her eldest daughter and smoothing her damp hair back.
"What would you know about that?" Emma asked. "I didn't always have a canopy bed in a palace. I had a place like this too, once." Mary Margaret smiled up at her youngest daughter trying to distract herself from the fear of losing Anthanasia. "You did?" Emma asked, surprised. "A tree stump. When I was running from the Queen. Believe it or not, I understand this Tinker Bell. The true question is: Why does she have a ladder? Fairies have wings."
"Guys!" David called entering the tree house again. "I've found something. It's a handkerchief." His wife looked at it. "That's Regina's. How did it get here?" she asked. "She's been tracking us. Watching Regina." Emma explained with a sigh. "But, if she's been watching her…" Mary Margaret trailed off. "We're in the wrong place." Killian concluded. "Regina."
Emma stayed with Anthanasia as the others went in search of Regina and the damn fairy or pixie or whatever the hell she was. Anthanasia shivered in her sleep and Emma found a blanket and draped it over her. Emma was scared. Everything seemed to be going wrong.
First Henry being taken by Pan and now this. What if Anthanasia didn't get better. She was THE savior after all and without her how were they going to find Henry. If she didn't make it, what was she going to tell her son? He had fallen in love with his aunt from the moment he met her. He always talked about her and trailed along after her. It was actually really cute.
Then Emma thought about what would happen to her. She had just found out she had a sister and there she was laying on her deathbed. Emma had gone her whole life thinking she was completely alone, that no one understood her but Anthanasia did. Sure they spent all their time arguing and disagreeing on just about everything but she was her sister nonetheless. They barely knew each other. She knew that if they had more time, some down time where they could actually get to know each other that they would learn to love one another. But they were running out of time.
"Please…don't die." Emma whispered tears forming in her eyes. "I just found you…I can't lose you now. Henry can't lose you…" The tear slid off of her cheek and dripped onto Anthansai's lips. Emma closed her eyes and sighed. She felt a tingling and opened her eyes to see a pink glow taking over Anthanasia. "What…what the hell?" Emma whispered, standing up quickly. The pink started to fade until it completely disappeared.
Suddenly Anthanasia sat up gasping for air. "Nasia?" She asked not sure what just happened. Anthanasia looked around confused. "What happened?" she asked. "I don't know." Emma said with wide eyes. Anthanasia lifted her tunic and saw that there was nothing there. No angry burn, no scar, no nothing. It was as if she had never been injured in the first place. "you…you healed me." Anthanasia said, shocked. "how… Regina couldn't…" Anthanasia shook her head.
"No one should have been able to. Because of my gifts, my magic, my gifts come with a price and that is that I can't be healed by magic…" Anthansia explained, shocked. "Where is everyone?" Anthanasia asked standing up. They went to find Regina. Tinker Bell was tracking her." Emma explained. "We need to find them."
Emma and Anthanasia burst into the clearing startling Regina, Tinker Bell, Killian, and their parents. "Anthanasia?" They gasped seeing her up and moving about. "But you were…" Killian trailed off. "Dying. I know. Emma healed me somehow." Anthansia explained. "But…" She shook her head. "We don't know either."
She looked over at the small blonde woman. "Tink?" she asked, smiling. "yes…" Tink answered uneasily. "I have heard quite the tales about you. Any woman who can kick Killian's ass is a friend of mine." Tinker belle laughed. "I like her." Killian smiled, not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. "Are you going to help us?" Anthanasia asked. "She can't." Regina answered. "She doesn't have any magic."
Regina seemed to be okay. "No pixie dust?" David asked, sounding upset. "Not even her wings." Regina confirmed. "How?" Emma asked. "I guess people stopped believing in me. And even if I would have helped he's too powerful." Tink explained, sighing heavily. "But you know where Pan is?" Anthanasia asked. "Sure. But it won't do you a bit of good." Tink said, shrugging. "Let us be the judge of that. Does he trust you?" Mary Margaret asked. Can you get us inside his camp and out?" Emma asked impatiently.
"Maybe. Why should I help you?" Tink asked, crossing her arms across her chest. "Because I believe in you." Anthanasia answered simply. "Just get us inside and we'll take care of things from there." She said, "And what's in it for me? Other than a death sentence from Pan when you're gone with your boy?"
She had a point. "You can come home with us." Emma said thinking of the first thing that popped into her mind. "That's right. A home. That is what you want. Isn't it?" Anthanasia asked. Tink looked between the two sisters that looked completely different yet similar at the same time.
"Okay. Listen closely. Pan trusts me. He'll let me in. And maybe, just maybe I'll leave a way open for you. But you'll only get one shot. So you'd better have a good plan." Tink finally gave in. "Thank you. We will." Emma said smiling. "Come with us to our camp. WE'll figure it out."
They looked over the map that laid in front of all of them. "This is where they're keeping Henry. Pan's compound. According to, uh…" Emma trailed off. "Tinker Bell." The fairy supplied. "Yes, I know. Still weird to say." Emma said. "Tink is fine." She offered. "Not sure that's any better." Emma admitted. She just couldn't believe she was there with Tinker bell. It shouldn't have been a surprise considering who her parents were.
"Anyway, she says that there are sentries positioned across the front, which is why we are gonna come in through the back entrance here. She's gonna talk her way in. Once she makes sure the coast is clear, then we are going to sneak on in." Anthanasia explained looking around at everyone. "You'll still have to deal with any lost boys once you're inside." Tink reminded.
"I think we can handle a few children with pointy sticks." Regina said, rolling her eyes. "It's not the sticks you need to worry about. It's the poison they're dipped in." Tink warned. "Dreamshade. Hook warned us." Mary Margaret nodded. "Good. Because one nick, and you'll spend the last of…" David cut off the fairy. "Poison sticks equal death. We got it. Now when can we put this rescue mission in action?" David asked impatiently.
"I'm ready to go, just as soon as you tell me the exit plan." She looked around and nobody said anything. "You do have an escape plan, don't you?" she asked pointedly. "It was more of a last minute trip." Mary Margaret said sheepishly. "If you don't have a way off this island then none of this matters." Tink argued. "We'll figure it out." Regina assured her. "You'll figure it out? No one comes and goes from this place unless he allows it. This is a waste of time."
She turned to leave. "Hey, when it comes to family, we always find a way." David snapped. "You don't get it. Here. Let me show you something. You know what this is?" she asked, holding up a watch for all of them to see. "Yeah. A watch." Emma said not getting it. "I got it from the people who brought your son here for Pan." She explained. "Greg and Tamara? Where are they? Why'd they give you that?" Emma asked. "I got it off the girl's body. Spent half the night cleaning the blood off it. And the other guy…Well, there wasn't enough left of him to find anything useful. This is what Pan does to people he employs. What do you think he's gonna do to you? I'm not sticking my neck on Pan's chopping block without a way off this island. When you figure that out, you know where I live."
She turned on her heel and stormed off. "Where the hell is she going?" Mary Margaret asked flustered. "I'll get her, bring her back." David said, moving to follow her. "Don't. She's right. If there's one thing I've learned, you never break in somewhere unless you know a way out." Anthanasia sighed agreeing with the fairy. "And where did you learn that?" Regina asked, rolling her eyes. "Thief, remember?" David looked at Killian. "What about you, Hook? You got off this island before." Killian nodded. "Yes, aboard my ship, which would require some form of magic to create a portal, which…I got from Pan in a deal. I don't think he's ready for a repeat."
"SO no one had ever left this island without Pan's permission." Regina concluded, frustrated. "One man. Her partner in crime." He pointed to Emma. "Neal." Her eyes widened. "How?" She asked. "Maybe we can find out."
"What is this supposed to be?" Regina asked as they looked at what appeared to be a giant boulder covered in vines. "So…what, Neal swung out of Neverland on a vine?" Emma asked sarcastically. "Well if someone would be kind enough to lend me a hand…what do you say savior?" Killian asked, looking at Anthanasia.
"I'll do it." David moved to help him while the women stood back waiting. "You don't look so hot, mate." Killian commented quietly. "It's a hundred degrees in this damn jungle. And I'm plenty hot." David argued. Stone could be heard scraping together and the women looked up to see an opening in the boulder. "Ladies first." The girls walked through it. "How much longer do you think you can keep up this charade? Don't you think your family deserves to know you're gonna die?" Killian whispered following a good way behind them. "What do you care?" David asked. "Why don't you?" That was the better question.
"What is the good in telling them when there is nothing I can do to stop the poison, when there is no hope?" David hissed. "Well, if there is one thing I've learned from you hero types, it's that there's always hope." David looked over at the pirate. "Is there something you're not telling me…mate?" he joked. "Alas, hope and reality are most often worlds apart. I told you the truth, you'll never make it off this island alive." Killian assured him. "Well…then this is between us. The only thing they need to worry about saving is Henry." David said. They were drawn from their conversation when Emma called out to them. "Hook? What is this place? What are we doing here?"
"Neal. Is this where he lived?" Anthanasia guessed. "Aye." He set down a flint letting the fire show the room. "Baelfire spent some time in Neverland as a boy. This was his home." Killian explained. "So you think he may have left a clue as to how he escaped from here?" Mary Margaret asked. "Well, let's hope so. Or we'll be lost just like he was."
They fanned out and began searching for anything that could get them off the island. Emma was looking at drawings on the walls. "Anything important?" Killian asked Emma. "I can't tell yet. I didn't know he liked drawing." She said, "He got it from his mother." Killian said softly. He remembered all the charcoal drawings that had once littered his cabin, beautiful portraits and landscapes.
"I'm hoping Neal left something useful in the details of one of these. Maybe a map? Some kind of clue. Hand me that candle. What about you? Any luck?" Emma asked, glancing up at him. "No potted bean plant or swirling vortex under the rug, if that's what you mean. There may be no rug at all. There are other drawings on the far wall, but as far as I can tell, that;s all they were. Probably just a way to pass the time and keep occupied." He gestured to the wall. "You knew him pretty well, didn't you?"
"We spent some time together. You alright there Swan?" she was staring at the drawings on the wall. "Im fine. Looks like you're right. They're just a bunch of pictures. What's all this?" Mary Margeret looked over. "Uh, just some cups and bowls he fashioned from things he found here." She told her daughter. "Don't know how great a cup this coconut could make. Its filled with holes." Daved said, holding up one. Anthanasia paused. "Maybe it's a colander." His wife suggested.
"Yes, because preteen Baelfire probably made lots of pasta." Regina answered sarcastically."Hold on." Anthanasia took the coconut and opened it inside was a small wick. "Killian snuff out that torch." She said after lighting the wick. He did as he was told. "Am I supposed to be impressed that he made a night-light?" Regina asked, raising her eyebrows. "Look up." She whispered. They all looked up to see a million little lights on the ceiling. "Stars." Emma breathed. "It's a map." Killian and Anthanasia corrected at the same time. "To where?" David asked. "Home."
