Part one

Flash back (age 14)

I run across the grass fast jumping over fallen trees and using the branches to swing on I hear a noise and hand from one of the branches then I jump down onto a rabbit and kill it with my dagger. I smile to myself as I skin it and keep the meat. After a few hours I manage to kill multiple animals I set two fires one decoy and one for my cook the animals I hunted soon after I hear footsteps and branches cracking. I hide behind a tree and see a few horde soldiers the come out of hiding. " Cadet... Lord Hordak wishes your presence" they say leading me out of the woods and back to the fright zone. I enter hordaks sanctum " Shadow" he says turning around " I see you've managed to survive better on the woods than in our barracks" he says I nod my head " yea lord Hordak I"- I say but he raises his hand and I stop talking " and that Cadet takes courage" he steps down and places his hand on my shoulders " rise force Captain shadow" he says I do so as he drops the badge in my hands " congratulations on being the youngest force captain ever... Keep on showing me your value to the horde Captain shadow and you shall be rewarded... You are now dismissed" I nod my head " yes lord Hordak... I will show you I'm worthy" I say as I leave and head to the locker room to get my gear on " hey what did lord Hordak w- OH MY GOD YOU GOT PROMOTED" Catra says I nod my head and hand drop the badge in her hands " I knew you'd get promoted eventually" she says " you always were the best" I feel myself blush a little " yeah" I say as she gives me it back her hand lingers on mine for a little longer " you've got your blades on" She says noticing my hidden blades "why" " just makes me feel safe" I say and she nods as her hand slowly moves away from mine " can't you two just kiss and get it done with" Adora cuts in me and Catra both look away from each other " sh shut up blondie" Catra says " just sayin you can cut the tension here with a knife haha" Adora laughs

(Time skip age 16 flashback)

I fly through the course swiftly and with expertise as the bots come to attack with their swords I manage to take on five at once the course powers down at the next wave starts up I wipe sweat from my forehead taking a breather as the course powers on a bot rushes towards me I slash the head with my hidden blade then immediately swish round slash the other I feel a metal cold grab my shoulder I grasp it and throw the bot at the wall and throw the metal arm at another. Another bot comes at me as I use it as a shield and it deflects the bullets hitting the bit and it falters away breaking soon the course powers down and the doors hiss open. " Psshhh show off" Catra says in more of a light hearted tone rather than anger " are you even allowed here" I say removing my gear as we head to the lockers " meh" Catra says shrugging as I place all my gear in my lockers. " hey what's that"she says grabbing mt wrist pulling back " hey no that's" I say as she holds my wrist " WHOAH you added a gun mod" she says I nod my head " don't be shooting me" " hehe what if I did" I say Catra leans closer " mmm then I'd have to do this" she purrs in a sultry tone as she pins me to the lockers. " hehe got ya" she purrs as her tail rises up and I feel the fur under the back of my shirt. Catra presses her self closer to me and I feel the heat of her body and it Suddenly goes quet and I gaze into her eyes feeling my heart skip a few beats soon after She leans close to my lips our breaths mingling together I lean forward too about to kiss her " Catr-"but before anything can happen Shadow weaver comes into the locker room as me and Catra pull ourselves away from each other d she glares at me " and what WAS going on here FORCE CAPTAIN" she hisses " why was Catra pinning you to the lockers hmm" " uhh she I was training her to get out of that position" I stutter trying to make an excuse she narrows her eyes at me " mmm I'm keeping a close eye on you now shadow" she says before going away as I get back Catra Backs me one the wall there's a small creak sound as she lets go of me then Moments later Adora comes in she sees me and Catra and laughs " ohhhh sooo what happened here Hm" Adora says " I saw you pinning Shadow the wall... cafe to explain Catra" " uhh she... she was training me" Catra says " ahhh because training means looking like you two wanted to rip each others clothes off" " WHAT" I shout as I look to the locker trying to avoid eye contact Adora laughs " shut up blondie" Catra snaps "hmmm" Adora hums her laughter subsiding " but seriously you two looked like you wanted to devour each other" she laughs " Gah shut up about that blondie" I huff

(Time skip age 18 still flashback)

I'm laying in my bed with my hidden blades on my wrists soon after I feel a pillow get yeeted at me I grab the pillow before it hits me " I'm not asleep Catra" I say tossing it at her " it's Adora idiot" Adora says chuckling as I open my eyes " oh" I say sitting up " hi" I say " why do you sleep with your blades on" she says I shrug and get up " hey hav-" " she's on the balcony" Adora says " how did you-" " know you were talking about Catra I just did" she chuckles I nod my head fixing my hair using a water spray bottle to get it smooth once it's done I grab my jacket and head outside. I teach the balcony and look up at the sky. It's black like a void and therse stars as if someone has sprinkled shiny dust into the night sky I look up at the moon it's illuminatingly beautiful. I lean my arms over the railing leaning forwards " Hey Horde Assassin" Catra says turning her body round looking at me " hey Kitty" I say " don't call me kitty" Catra huffs as her tail puffs up therse a slight blush on her cheeks "hehe" I chuckle as I see my blade shine in the moonlight " hey" Catra says softly looking at my arms then my eyes " you always have your blades on your wrists... Why" she says " well I... It helps me feel safe... like I said before the first time you asked" I say she nods her head " you can take them off you know" she says looking back to my eyes " you don't have to have them on all the time" I shake my head " I can't" I say " maybe we start with just one... You're safe with me you know" soon after I feel her take my hand and she instantly intwines our fingers brushing her thumb over my knuckles. I feel my heart rate rise again " can I take it off" she says her voice low and soft like silk I hesitate before nosing my head and holding out my hand to her. She slowly slides the blade off my wrist and before I can fully react she pulls me into her chest gently stroking my hair " I'll never hurt you ever" she says " you can trust me alright" she says pulling me away and resting her forehead on mine the gesture feels oddly intimate I soon feel her tail wrap around my waist as she purrs softly I slowly close my eyes and enjoy being in Catras arms. " there you go" she whispers her voice a gentle caress I feel her body heat radiating off her " you can trust me" she ushers again her voice a gentle whisper and I subconsciously move closer to her until our bodies are pressed together her tail tightens around my body " therse nothing more perfect than this" I say without realising " actually there is" Catra says before I can correct myself " what do y-" I say getting cut off as her lips meet mine in a slow tender kiss my eyes widen as it instantly shocks me but I don't pull away I wrap my arms around her waist and close my eyes tilting my head to the side I feel her tilt her head the opposite way as her hand rake through my hair while the other slides under my shirt I gasp softly and kiss gets more heated as she slowly pushes me down gently wrapping her legs around me to prevent me from falling she pushes her body closer to mine as I feel her claws stroke my chest I slightly part my lips and her tongue slips past we explore each others mouths her hands get more higher as I push myself needing friction she pushes my back down and grinds her hips against mine starting off slow before moving into a rhythm she suddenly moves her knee between my legs pressing hard I let out a moan at the contact as she holds the back of my neck up kissing me more deeper than it already is she hands continue to stroke my chest sensually she pulls away to breathe " Damn" I manage so say breathless " heh I made the assassin breathless" Catra says catching her breath " finally god I was wondering when you idiots would finally admit your feelings" Adora says standing smirking at us " where you there the whole time" I ask as Catra in unravels her legs from me and hops off the balcony " the whole time no but I know you two... Made out" she says " AND DONT even get to deny it" I sit up and nod my head " jeez I swear I was the only one who knew about the sexual tension between the two of you" Adora says shaking her head laughing " but... You deserve each other" she says " Thanks Blondie" I say as Catra gives me my hidden blade back I slip it on the cool metal coils around my wrist as I test the blade ( I'm not really testing it I just like doing that hehe) " thanks" I say looking at Catra as the three of us stay on the balcony for a little longer before we head back inside. The doors hiss open and I get inside Catra follows. I lay on my bed throwing my knife up and down " you know you really are an idiot right" Catra says " but... you're my idiot" she says sitting down next to me
