'Hmm? So, this is how it ends, huh?' Naruto spat blood. He didn't even remember how he ended up here and why he had a big hole in his chest. He was lying here on the hard ground of the park, losing more and more blood. His vision was already beginning to darken. His eyes had already lost all life, and it was clear to everyone that Naruto would die soon.

His golden blond spiky hair was also covered in blood, so it looked like Naruto had red streaks in his golden blond hair. His school uniform, which used to be so clean and smooth, was now full of creases and blood. Everywhere was the red liquid that everyone needed to live.

The weird sky that was over him wouldn't go away. Purple, blue, black, and other colors moved in the sky. Anyone would think that this was a painting by an artist who moved. Nothing was gray around Naruto, either. Even the ground, which used to be gray, was now red.

He could feel every bit of life draining out of him. The essence of life for every living being was about to leave their body altogether. He just wished he could know why all this happened and how he ended up in such a situation.

Above all, he asked himself what would happen after his death. So far, Naruto hadn't seen his deceased, as so many people who had narrowly escaped death had reported. Naruto was sure he couldn't escape death. For this reason, he was not in a hospital but on cold and hard ground in the middle of a park.

He didn't even know that his brain could still perceive something from outside his body. His ears twitched slightly when he heard a cough. That's right, there's the boy next to him.

The boy next to him was Issei Hyōdō. Just like Naruto, Issei had almost no life left in his body. Being the pervert he was, he wished to die at the side of a girl and not at the side of a boy. Issei would never change, even if he were dying.

Issei's blood dripped onto a small piece of paper with a magic circle written on it. The tiny magic circle started glowing blue, and right after that, it floated out of Issei's pocket and created a big blue magic circle. As the magic circle moved to the ground, a girl with shoulder-length black hair, purple eyes, and glasses on her nose appeared. The girl looked down at Issei and adjusted her glasses once. Issei could see the girl and managed to smile slightly.

"Issei Hyōdō, from now on, you will live for me." 2 bat-like wings came out of the person's back, and in doing so, she retrieved a blue chess piece from her Kuoh school uniform.

Naruto couldn't see anything anymore, and that's why he didn't notice how the girl put the chess piece on Issei's chest and then said a few sentences. Issei was enveloped in a blue light, and a blue magic circle appeared beneath him. Issei's weak heart started beating again as if someone had given him a strong electric shock. His breathing became regular again, and the large hole in his chest began to close. The girl watched with satisfaction as Issei claimed eight pawns from her. She may have had to readjust her former appraisal of the pervert.

She had already noticed Naruto, and even if she wanted to, she couldn't turn him into a devil. She had lost the chess party against her rival, which would let the winner decide which of the two would get. Since her rival wanted Naruto, she had to take what she could get, and that was Issei.

She could see the same note floating out of Naruto's jacket pocket as from Issei's pants pocket earlier. Instead of the magic circle glowing blue, this time, it glowed red. The girl had been wondering when Naruto would make his wish. She knew her new servant's wish, of course, but not Naruto's wish. Only the person who now appeared through the contract in a red magic circle knew him.

Naruto could sense something weird. He didn't know how it was possible, but he could feel his heart beating faster. The blood that had been steadily pouring out of him for the last few minutes, turning the whole floor red, began to move back into his body. The large hole in his chest was about to close, and at the same time, Naruto could feel an unknown force surge through his body. He didn't care how or why it all happened. He was just happy that a miracle had happened and that he could escape death once more, even though he had done nothing but make a wish.

Shortly after speaking his wish in his mind, Naruto felt his body regenerate. In addition to the strange power that was now flowing through him, he could also feel another power that was spreading inside him. It didn't feel alien; it felt familiar. As if he knew that power, even though he had never felt it before.

Naruto was able to open his eyes briefly at the end and see himself surrounded by a red light. Besides the red light, Naruto also saw beautiful red hair. He'd seen that hair somewhere before. Before he could remember, everything went black before his eyes.

The following day, Naruto woke up to his damn alarm clock. He turned off the loud thing and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He got up and walked into the kitchen with only his pants on.

He opened a wall cabinet and took out a clean glass. Then he closed the cabinet door again and went to his closet. He ran the water briefly and checked with a finger that the water was cold. When he was sure it was nice and cold, he held the glass under the water and filled it. He turned off the tap and started drinking his water as he made his way to the living room.

He had to go through the hallway and past the bathroom. He walked over to his stereo, glass in hand, and turned it on. He put the now-empty glass on the table in front of the couch and went to the dresser. He crouched down and opened a drawer, looking for something in particular.

Dozens of CDs were visible in the drawer. When he found a particular CD, he took it out and closed the drawer again. He took the CD to the music system and put it on. He first turned the volume all the way down and then slowly started increasing the volume until he reached the volume that he was comfortable with.

He went to the corner of the room, took his exercise mat from there, and rolled it out onto the floor. He warmed up briefly and then started his morning workout. After 20 minutes, he was on the last exercise. He was in a handstand right now, lowering his body first and then raising it again. '94...95...96...97...98...99...100!' He dropped his body back to the ground, elegantly standing up as he did so. There wasn't a drop of sweat on his torso. He rolled up the gym mat again and put it back in the corner of the room.

He took the empty glass and went back into the kitchen. He filled the glass with water and drank it as well. He put the glass in the sink and then went to his bathroom to take a shower. There were several towels in his vanity unit. He took one out and placed it next to the shower before stripping entirely and tossing his clothes in the hamper. He got into the shower and started to shower himself.

After 10 minutes, Naruto came out and dried himself off. He wrapped the towel around his waist and walked out of the bathroom. He walked down the hall to his room and then straight to his closet. He opened the large sliding door and took out his school clothes.

He got dressed and then looked in the mirror. The school uniform of the Kuoh School consisted of a black blazer with white accents; underneath was a long white shirt with vertical black lines, matching black pants, and brown shoes.

Naruto looked closely at himself in the mirror. He really couldn't find anything that pointed to the events in his dream. Whatever his mind was thinking, it was a bizarre dream that seemed way too natural. He shook his head briefly and then turned around. He wore his black blazer open, revealing his white shirt.

He went into the kitchen and made himself something to eat. He didn't know why, but he was full of energy today. He usually always needed a short moment after his morning workout, but today, he wasn't the least bit exhausted afterward. He also had more strength than usual and more stamina.

He was usually sweating at the end of his morning workout, so he always took a shower. Today, he didn't sweat a bit, as if he suddenly had much more stamina and strength. All the exercises were also more accessible than usual. He could only imagine that his body was pumped with adrenaline after last night's dream.

He shook his head and opened the fridge, which still contained yesterday's food. He took out the food and warmed it up. It was just some vegetables, some meat, and rice. It was nothing special, but it brought everything that the body needed.

Half an hour later, Naruto walked out of his house and locked the door. He looked at his garage once and then up at the sky. He thought he saw something in the sky. He looked closely at the sky and clouds but couldn't see anything. There were just a few birds and clouds. Nothing quirky or unique.

Naruto just shrugged his shoulders and started walking toward Kuoh Academy. He went to a class with the famous prince of the Kuoh school. Naruto was probably the only boy in the entire school who wasn't jealous of or hated Yūto Kiba. Every boy hated Yūto because he was every girl's crush. Every girl raved about Yūto, and as a result, they ignored the other boys at school. This was the simple reason why every boy at school was jealous of Yūto.

Naruto walked past a dark alley and suddenly stopped. He had only noticed it in the corner of his eye, but the otherwise dark alley was not as dark as usual. He knew this alley very well; after all, he walked past it five times a week. He could see everything in the alley, whether it was the cat by the garbage cans or the power box. He could see everything.

Naruto turned away from the alley again and continued skeptically. 'Something's really wrong.' Naruto thought. He didn't know how that was possible, but he seemed to be able to see everything in the dark. He turned off a street and continued down the side street.

Usually, he would have to go straight ahead and get to school. But he really had to be sure that he hadn't just imagined it. In the distance, he saw the abandoned industrial hall, which was completely dark inside. Not a bit of light got in there. If he could see everything there, then it was true, and he seemed to be able to see even in the dark.

'I cannot believe it.' Naruto thought. He was standing in the abandoned industrial hall, and he could really see everything clearly. He looked around and could see the old machinery and equipment. He didn't even know that all this machinery and equipment were inside. He looked around, and a few minutes later, he went back to get to school on time.

He knew very well that otherwise, the student council president would seek him out again. It wouldn't be the first time he'd had a little chat with Sona, whether it was positive or negative. Mostly, it was positive topics, but sometimes Naruto would oversleep, and at school, he would get a reminder from Sona that it was essential to get to school on time.

He stopped on his way and looked across the street. He could see a cat about to fall out of a tree. Naruto looked around and couldn't see anyone. He started running and was lucky that no cars were coming. He saw exactly how the cat fell from the tree and was now falling towards the ground. When he was just a little away, he leaped toward the cat with both hands outstretched.

Naruto caught the cat in time and slid with his entire body across the floor. His outstretched arms were always off the ground, keeping the cat securely in the air. His hands were tight around the cat, but without hurting it. He would have expected to feel something because he was currently sliding his upper body over the hard floor... but he felt nothing. It was as if he could no longer feel pain. When he stopped sliding, he looked at the cat and sighed once because it was unharmed. He put the cat down carefully and straightened up. He sat up and petted the cat a bit.

The black cat leaned into Naruto's hand and purred a little. Naruto smiled and stood up after a minute. The cat looked at him with its golden eyes and, after a few seconds, ran away. Naruto waved goodbye and then brushed off his school clothes. He was lucky his clothes hadn't torn from sliding across the hard floor.

He took one look at his body and wondered why he couldn't feel any pain at all. He should have felt something, but he hadn't felt anything from hitting the ground hard or sliding across the hard ground. 'Something's really wrong today,' thought Naruto.

He left so he wouldn't be very late. Now, he would definitely be a few minutes late. But that was not so important; his thoughts were elsewhere. He couldn't understand what was going on that day. His thoughts kept wandering to the strange dream.

Naruto went up the stairs to the top floor. Classes were boring, as always. He was one of the best in his class, but the classes were still dull. His thoughts were somewhere else today. He was still trying to find a logical explanation for his new abilities. With the best will in the world, he couldn't explain how he could suddenly see in the dark, had more stamina, and apparently could no longer feel pain.

He also had to keep thinking about his dream. He couldn't shake the feeling that everything he experienced in the dream had all really happened. But if his dream had been a reality, why was he still alive? He should actually be dead; after all, he had died in his dream. At least Naruto thought so. He couldn't quite remember the ending.

As Naruto walked up the stairs to the top floor, a girl came towards him. Naruto just looked ahead until he saw the girl's long red hair. He walked on, usually just looking at her out of the corner of his eye, but he knew right away who it was.

Rias Gremory was one of the two Great Ladies from the Kuoh School. Rias was a pretty young lady. She had white skin, blue-green eyes, and an alluring physique. Be it the large bust or the almost perfect curves on her body. Her most distinctive feature was her long, beautiful crimson hair that reached to her knees, with a single strand of hair sticking out from her head. She also had loose bangs that covered her forehead and framed her face on the side. She wore the Kuoh Academy school uniform with white knee socks.

The way she walked down the stairs was elegant and almost hypnotic for her classmates. The way her long red hair moved as she walked was elegant and so unapproachable. Many didn't even dare to go near her.

Naruto looked ahead again and, therefore, missed the look of the beauty who just walked past him. She kept walking but caught a glimpse of him out of the corner of her eye. Naruto only heard all the girls and boys praising and cheering on Rias. Rias was a role model for all the girls, and 99% of the boys wanted something from Rias. Be it in a relationship with her, just being able to talk to her, or having sex. But due to her nature, most of them didn't even dare to go near her.

When he got to the top floor, he walked down the hall and pulled a key out of his pocket. He unlocked the door and walked into the small room. He closed the door behind him and then went to the window. He put his bag down and opened the window. When the window was open, he just jumped out of the window and stretched out his arm. He grabbed the gutter and swung himself onto the ledge above the window. He landed in a crouch and turned around. He was now on a slight incline. He climbed up the small incline until he came to the flat part of the roof.

He straightened up when he was back on a level surface, and he looked around. He always came up here on the roof during the break. He had gotten a key to the room through a deal with Sona. The room wasn't currently being used, so Naruto had no problem leaving his bag in the room. He always locked the door before opening the window.

Since Naruto was using the room, he only had to clean it up a bit now and then. The room was the size of a regular office. There was a closet, a desk, a chair, and a chest of drawers inside. This used to be the caretaker's room. The caretaker was downstairs now, and the room hadn't been used since.

Naruto felt the wind all over his body. He just loved being up here. There was always a light wind up here, even when there was no wind on the ground. He looked over the Kuoh School grounds and especially at the old school building. In front of the old school building, there was a cherry blossom tree that Naruto was particularly fond of. He blamed his father for it. His father was very fond of red hair and cherry blossoms. His mother had long, beautiful red hair, and to Naruto, she was the most beautiful woman in the world. He learned a lot from his father.

Because of his father, he was also able to defend himself well because he had been taught martial arts. Since Naruto was four years old, he had received training from his father, and by now, his body was correspondingly muscular. Unfortunately, his father died a year ago, and he received a lot of money from his inheritance. Naruto was still looking for the person who had murdered his father back then. Unfortunately, his mother had died a few years earlier from a sporadic disease.

His father's name was Minato Uzumaki, and his mother's name was Kushina Uzumaki. These two people were the most important in his life. He also regularly visited his parents' graves, and today, he would do it again.

He lay down on the roof and clasped his hands behind his head. He looked carefree up at the sky and watched the clouds. The break was long enough, and he used the time to look at the clouds. He just liked looking at the clouds. There was something liberating about it, with all worries just disappearing.

Naruto blinked a few times after 5 minutes and put a hand in front of his face. He rubbed both his eyes and then looked again at the one cloud. 'That's impossible.' Naruto's eyes widened when he saw a person in the sky. He didn't even know why he could see this person. Usually, he shouldn't see the person, but he certainly did.

'Is that an angel?' Naruto could see several white wings on the person's back. If he counted correctly, the person would have ten wings on their back. Why someone would need ten wings was beyond Naruto. Naruto just looked up at the person, mesmerized. The person's long blond hair swayed back and forth in the strong wind at altitude.

After a few seconds, Naruto only saw the person disappear behind the clouds in a golden light. He closed his eyes as the bright light slightly blinded him. When Naruto opened his eyes again, he blinked a little. He was just wondering if that really happened. 'Did I really see an angel with ten wings? Even if so, what would anyone need ten wings for? Two wings are enough, aren't they?' Naruto shook his head and stood up. He looked at the watch on his wrist and could see that the lunch break was almost over. He slid down the slight incline and fell off the roof. He grabbed the gutter and swung himself into the room. He landed safely in a crouch and then straightened up. He looked out the window at the sky again, and after a few seconds, he shook his head.

'I'm sure that was just my imagination.' Naruto thought before he closed the window and grabbed his bag. He walked out of the room and locked the door behind him. Many knew that Naruto used this room, and that's why nobody gave him confused looks when they saw him.

Naruto headed back down the stairs, and as he turned, he could see Sona with a boy by her side. It was Issei Hyōdō, the biggest pervert in the whole school. Naruto could only imagine that Issei had once again peeked at the girls when they changed with his two friends.

He fixed his eyes on the steps and went back down the stairs. He would have to hurry a bit if he didn't want to be late. He arrived in the classroom 2 minutes later. He was even allowed to see that he was one of the first. He went back to his seat and sat in his chair. He put the bag on his table and then looked out the window. 'I just hope the day goes by quickly. I'll have to make some adjustments on the Camaro later.'

In Naruto's garage was an old 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. He knew cars well because his father also showed him a lot, and both bought the car two years ago for a special price. He had to restore the car from scratch completely with his father, but all the work was worth it. All he had to do was make a few adjustments, and the car should start. He was looking forward to the feeling of sitting in the car and hearing the engine for the very first time, and the feeling that the car vibrated a little when the engine started. He actually wanted to do this with his father, but he had promised at the grave that he would make this experience memorable.

"Hi, Naruto." Naruto looked to the side and saw the Kuoh school prince. Yūto Kiba was the best in Naruto's class and the most popular boy in the entire school. A lot of girls liked him. He had blond hair and blue eyes, and he wore the everyday Kuoh school uniform for boys, just like Naruto. However, Yūto wore his blazer closed so that you couldn't see the white shirt under the black blazer.

"Hi Yūto, how was the break?" Naruto held out his hand to Yūto, and as usual, Yūto took it and shook it politely. Yūto always had a smile on his face, and that was one of the reasons why all the girls liked him so much.

After shaking hands, Yūto had to answer a few girls before he could ask Naruto his question. "Do you have some free time after school, Naruto?"

"Not today. I wanted to visit my parents again," said Naruto.

"Oh, I see," said Yūto. "I am sorry."

Naruto chuckled a little at the honest expression the prince of Kuoh had. "Please, don't think much of it. You couldn't know I visited my parents today, of all days," said Naruto.

"If you have time tomorrow, would you be willing to accept an invitation to our clubroom?" asked Yūto.

Naruto raised both eyebrows. "Your club invites me to visit it?" asked Naruto, confused. Everyone knew of the Occultism Club of the Kuoh Academy. Many famous students were part of it, namely Yūto, Rias Gremory, and the other person who was part of the "Two Great Ladies". Everyone wished to join this club, but no one has been accepted. Male students, especially, tried it, but all of their applications were denied. Now, Yūto has officially invited Naruto to visit the club. This was all pretty sudden and overwhelming to a certain degree. Naruto wasn't like most male students, but he was still a little confused why he, who had never shown interest in joining any club, was suddenly invited to this famous club.

"Yes. Our president would like to speak with you in person, away from the wide mass," said Yūto.

"Hmm? Did I do something to get such a chance to speak with the famous Rias Gremory in person?" asked Naruto, curiously.

"You would hear about the reasons once you are in our clubroom," said Yūto. "But I can say that you always showed potential. You aren't like all others. You always stood out, not just because of your grades or something like that. You always help others where you can, you never treat someone poorly, and much more."

Naruto got a little embarrassed at the compliments of Yūto. He wasn't used to getting openly complimented like that. He was a man after all, and men in general didn't get compliments for everything they did, unlike women. It was just how the world worked. He didn't mind since he was raised into a strong man.

"Uhm… thanks," said Naruto.

Yūto chuckled a little at the obvious discomfort at the open compliment. Naruto coughed in his fist before saying, "Okay, I will gladly accept the invitation. Not that I have anything else to do tomorrow." This was a lie, but he could work on his car on any other day. Getting the rare opportunity to speak with the famous Rias Gremory wasn't something he ever thought he would get.

He could have tried to speak with her earlier in the day when she passed him in the corridor while he was climbing the stairs toward the top, but he just knew she wouldn't have answered. She would have simply kept walking, like all the times when someone tried to talk to her. It wasn't that Rias was ignoring the others, but when she stopped and looked at the person who tried to talk to her, the person couldn't utter a word because of her presence. Either one was overwhelmed by her beauty, her elegant presence, or other reasons. She would soon continue on her way since all students never truly managed to say something when they were really face to face with her.

Yūto's smile became a little wider at the confirmation that Naruto would indeed come tomorrow to their clubroom. "Alright, then I don't want to take up more of your time. I will escort you tomorrow during the first lunch break to our clubroom," said Yūto.

Naruto nodded and said, "Alright." Yūto went back to his seat with some girls surrounding him. Naruto observed the spectacle a little before he chuckled. 'I wouldn't want to be so famous. That he can smile through the entire day without getting annoyed by all the people, whether by the girls or the boys, truly out of this world,' thought Naruto. He turned his attention to the front when his teacher, Mr. Sakazaki, entered the room.

Naruto was now wearing an orange hoodie over a white T-shirt, blue pants, and black shoes. The rest of the school day was as normal as it could get with Mr. Sakazaki teaching them everything they needed to know, Naruto's presence on the roof during the breaks, and afterward, he went home instead to a club, like most students did.

He was currently walking through Kuoh toward the Graveyard, where both of his parents were buried. He was still smiling, like always, but his mood wasn't what it could be. He was missing his parents, and even when he promised them, he was trying to live his best life before he eventually joined them on the other side after he had lived his life to the fullest.

Naruto enjoyed the sun, which brightened not only his day but also the day of many others. If not humans or animals. The entire city was bathed in the warm rays of the sun, which also made the vegetation around Kuoh look more alive.

He stopped when he heard a familiar voice. "Naruto!" said a male voice.

Naruto stopped and looked to the side, seeing an older man. "Oh, Gregor!" said Naruto, walking to the elderly man who always had a wise quote for Naruto. Naruto always listened intently to the suggestions Gregor told him. Gregor was formerly a soldier in the army and experienced the Second World War. He was a man who survived literal hell and collected a lot of experience throughout his life.

He came to know this gentle old soul when he was walking to the graveyard last year. Gregor was having trouble lifting something heavy into his car. Even when he was once a soldier and even when his old age was in good shape, he couldn't win against time and his weakened body. He was already 92 years old, and he could still walk straight without the need for a walk assistant like a walking aid. But that didn't change the fact that his muscles weren't what they used to be. Heavy things were too much for his old body to handle.

Since that day, Naruto saw Gregor 2-3 times a week while he was either visiting his parents, grocery shopping, or training. Gregor told Naruto many stories about his time in the army and his general life experiences. Naruto had learned a lot of things from Gregor about certain things.

"How are you doing today?" asked Naruto.

"Oh, I just came from an appointment with my doctor," said Gregor. Near their location was the Kuoh hospital.

"You were in the hospital?" asked Naruto, worried.

"Don't worry, it was just a general check-up. Everything is fine with me considering my age," said Gregor. Naruto sighed in relief. He grew fond of Gregor over the last year. He liked to listen to the tales he told Naruto from all kinds of time periods in his life. Thinking about losing him now, too, would be devastating for Naruto.

"Keep your head high, Naruto. You are one of the few people your age who actually pay attention to things like us old folks," said Naruto. "Even if I die one day, you don't need to feel sorrow. I lived a good and long life, longer than most ever will. I am just one of billions of lives in this vast world."

"Still, you are precious to me. I think it would be understandable if I grieved over your death," said Naruto.

"That is only normal, but all I ask is that you keep walking forward like always," said Gregor.

Naruto shook his head a little and said, "I will, don't worry. But let's change the topic. What are you doing now?"

"I was about to visit my wife," said Gregor. His wife wasn't as lucky as Gregor. She died when she was 79 years old.

"I see," said Naruto. This was also something that bonded the two. Both often visited their dead family members together. Naruto already introduced Gregor to his parents, and Gregor introduced Naruto to his wife.

"Shall we go together?" asked Naruto with a gentle smile.

Gregor smiled and said, "Like always, it would be my pleasure."

Two hours later, Naruto was walking home from the Graveyard, having spent his time with Gregor, his parents, and Gregor's wife. Gregor was also on his way home, but since both were living in opposite directions, he said goodbye to the wise old man.

Naruto's smile was a little wider than before. He was always in a better mood when he met Gregor. And having him by his side during his visit to the grave of his dead parents also helped him. All he needed to do was go home and absolve his training for the day.

Naruto stopped, waiting for a few cars to pass him before he could cross the street. When he was on the other side, he suddenly felt a chill running down his spine. He shuddered for a second when he felt this uncomfortable feeling. It was like a predator was watching him. Naruto looked around with focused eyes, even when his body would like nothing more than to run away.

But Naruto could suppress his survival instinct thanks to the martial arts training he went through. It allowed him to assess the current situation better. He didn't see anyone or anything that would give such a feeling. He turned away and walked toward the park, looking around him attentively.

He had seen something. A man was following him with enough distance not to make it suspicious, but this man definitely was the one who gave off this ominous presence that made his blood run cold. When he turned into the park, a moment out of the man's eyesight, he began to run as fast as he could.

His eyes widened when he noticed how much distance he crossed with each step. He ran faster than he ever did before. Each step covered a few meters, making him most likely the fastest human alive. He remembered his ability to see in the dark, his durable body, and his raised stamina. Was this another new thing? Could he now run as fast or even faster than the fastest human on the planet? He didn't know, but he used this speed to cover a greater distance. He had a hard time adjusting to the new speed, but he managed well enough.

When he crossed half the park, he noticed how all the humans slowly began to vanish from his sight, and something akin to a barrier began to rise at the edge of his vision. Black feathers were falling from the sky, letting Naruto's eyes go wide when he remembered again… the park, Issei and his girlfriend, Yūma, and her sudden transformation with her black feathered wings, like she was an angel of darkness. She was the one who killed not only Issei but also Naruto, since he was at the wrong time and in the wrong place. She told him that it was unfortunate that she had to kill him, but he was just unlucky to be present when she killed Issei.

Naruto stopped dead in his tracks, looking up into the air. He saw the man with the same black feathered wings as this Yūma yesterday. Naruto narrowed his eyes when everything came rushing back. He had tried to save Issei, but before he could help him, a spear pierced his body.

The man who hovered there in the air had dark blue eyes with black slits as pupils and short black hair. He wore a black hat, a brown trench coat, black pants, and boots. He slowly descended to the ground, gently landing on both feet with his black feathered wings vanishing into his back.

"So you also survived yesterday's attack from Reyna," said the man. "It seems like you and this Issei had the luck of the heavens."

Naruto didn't say anything, only preparing himself for whatever would happen now. "You don't seem to be part of the Sitri Clan like Issei Hyōdō. He was truly lucky his master saved him before I could finish him off," said the man, raising his hand over his head.

'Devil?' thought Naruto with narrowed eyes. Something was going on here, and he just got a piece of information that had to do with his new abilities. This man wasn't a human, so much was clear. If Naruto survived this encounter against this man, he would need to investigate this part about him being a devil.

If Naruto really weren't a human anymore, then his newly acquired abilities would make sense, since devils were something supernatural, only associated with fiction and mythology. But all that was placed in the back of his head. Right now, he needed to survive his encounter with this man before him.

"But don't worry, I won't make the same mistake twice. I don't know why you were turned into a devil, but I'd better kill you now before you become strong enough to fight back," said the man. A blue light appeared over his head before the light transformed into a sword out of blue energy. The man grabbed the hilt of the sword before he dashed forth, intending to kill Naruto swiftly.

Naruto got wide eyes when he saw how fast this man was. 'Shit!' thought Naruto, barely dodging backwards to avoid the wide arc of the sword that was clearly aimed at his neck to decapitate him. Naruto tensed his legs before he jumped backwards.

'Woah!' thought Naruto. He jumped further back than he intended. He struggled when he landed to remain on his feet. "You seem to be a little stronger than Issei Hyōdō and a little faster, but you won't survive this," said the man, summoning another sword out of blue energy into his free hand.

Naruto furrowed his eyebrows, trying to form a plan on how to survive this encounter.

"Always remember, son, you need to have a clear mind in any situation. Even if you are strong enough, but don't have a clear mind, you can lose a fight because of a single moment. Always stay calm, no matter the situation."

The words of Naruto's father came into his mind, letting him concentrate again, even when his body placed some pressure on Naruto's mind. His survival instinct wanted to control the situation, letting Naruto run away. But it didn't happen. Naruto was always someone who could stay calm in an extreme situation.

The man jumped into the air, raising his swords to bring them down on Naruto to kill him. Naruto moved backwards and almost tripped over a park bench. Naruto instinctively placed one hand on the bench and used it to jump over the bench. He instantly noticed the bend of the metal of the park bench where he had placed his hand and put a lot of pressure on the bench to have a strong and stable grip.

Naruto acted instinctively, placing his other hand on the park bench and pulling with all his strength. His eyes widened when he actually pulled the park bench toward him, breaking the metal in the process that was supposed to hold the park bench in place.

Naruto instantly began to go into a throwing motion, using all the muscles in his body to throw the park bench he had just pulled out of the ground toward the man. The man had wide eyes when suddenly a park bench flew toward him. He performed a cross-shaped slash with both swords, slashing the park bench into four parts.

Naruto used the moment to run away, gaining some distance. But he wasn't running because he tried to escape. He had formed a plan. If he was strong enough to pull a park bench from the ground, even when it was mounted on the floor, then he should also be able to use other things as a throwable object that a normal human never could.

The man with his two swords spread his black feathered wings and flew after Naruto. It was apparent the situation wasn't as he imagined it. He thought Naruto would run away in fear, letting him strike him down easily. But as it turned out, Naruto was much more level-headed than Issei, stronger, and also faster. Not much, but still enough so he could react to the man's actions.

He got wide eyes when suddenly an entire tree flew toward him. He frowned, flying around the tree, seeing two imprints of hands on the tree trunk. He looked in the direction from which the tree had just come. He saw how Naruto was hugging a tree before he pulled the tree out of the ground with his entire strength, even when he had obviously trouble doing so.

'Was he reincarnated with a Rook Piece?' thought the man with narrowed eyes. If that were true, then the enhanced physical strength would be logical. Rook Pieces had enhanced physical strength and defense, letting them tank stronger attacks and still survive or not flinch where others would take heavy damage.

Naruto went into a throwing motion before he hurled the tree toward the flying man. The man let his swords vanish before he created a spear out of blue energy, throwing it toward the tree. The spear pierced through the tree like it was nothing, surprising Naruto.

He had to jump away before the spear could hit him. When the spear hit the ground, a little explosion caused him to stagger and fell on his butt. Before Naruto could stand up, another spear was already flying toward Naruto. Naruto got wide eyes when he felt massive pain in his stomach. He looked down in disbelief, seeing the blue spear halfway inside his body, having created a hole.

"Nrgh!" Naruto doubled over in pain. He had already experienced broken bones, flesh wounds, and all kinds of injuries in his life, but nothing compared to the pain he felt right now. It was almost unbearable. He wanted to scream, but the voice didn't come out of his mouth.

The man landed before Naruto with a sword out of blue energy forming on his right side. He raised it to the side to ready himself to decapitate Naruto. Naruto looked up from his kneeling position with the spear still inside his body. The man's arm began to move when Naruto saw his life flash before his eyes.

'N-no… I can't die yet! I still have so much to do and to achieve! Why… I promised Mum and Dad that I would live a long and good life. It can't end like this!' thought Naruto, trying to think of a possible solution to his situation.

But he couldn't come up with anything. His body refused to move. The pain was almost driving him crazy. It wasn't just the hole in his stomach. From the spear, some kind of energy flowed into his body that felt like poison. This was the real problem: why he had trouble even thinking.

The sword, out of the same energy as the spear, traveled through the air, aimed at Naruto's neck. Naruto could only watch as the sword came closer and closer to his neck. 'Come on, move!' thought Naruto desperately.

"Promise me, Naruto, that you won't follow me quickly. I want you to live your life to the fullest, even when it becomes hard at times. I know that you will always walk forward and don't look back." Kushina was lying on the hospital bed, clearly weakened by the illness she had endured for the last six months. No matter what the hospital tried, nothing seemed to work on her. It was an illness never seen before.

"But most importantly… if you ever truly need to use it, break the chains for him, -," said Kushina.

Naruto had wide eyes when suddenly, everything stopped around him. The sword that was just a second away from decapitating him wasn't moving. The man before him stood still, and everything else also. The color vanished from the world. Naruto couldn't feel anything or move his body. Only his eyes were able to perceive things.

He could hear steps coming toward his position. 'Who?' thought Naruto, hearing how the steps came closer gradually. Naruto couldn't look past the man who was standing right before him since he couldn't tilt his head to the side or move his body in general. The steps clearly came from behind the man.

"Naruto Uzumaki," said a gentle female voice. Naruto could suddenly feel it – a sudden rush of energy. His eyes widened when black chains suddenly appeared all around him, holding him in place. Every part of his body was bound by a chain that traveled into the air before vanishing in a black magic circle. But he didn't feel the chains that bound Naruto's body. It was like they didn't exist, even when he could see them clearly.

"I wish this situation had never happened, and you could have lived a long life as a normal human. But now comes the time to break your restraints and unseal your hidden power," said the female voice.

Naruto focused his gaze on the background behind the man who tried to kill him. He still couldn't see who was now standing somewhere behind the man with the sword in hand. He didn't know why, but the gentle voice of this woman put his mind at ease and made everything feel okay. His troubled thoughts were slowly drifting away, as if he knew that something would happen that would let him survive this situation somehow.

A few more steps could be heard before Naruto got a glimpse of the woman who radiated so much power, even when the power was very gentle and not intimidating in any way. He had seen many beautiful women in the twenties, but this woman who just came into view on the left man's side was just stunning.

She was a stunningly beautiful woman with sexy hip-length, black hair that had bangs hanging on the right side with two ahoges, green eyes, a mole under her left eye, red round glasses, one earring on her left ear, and a voluptuous figure. She has very large breasts on the same level as Rias Gremory. Her green eyes shimmered with green energy as she looked at Naruto. She wore a green knitted turtleneck and a tight black mini-skirt along with cross garter motif stockings.

"I am sorry that I couldn't protect you, but from now on, you will have to adjust to the supernatural world," said the stunningly beautiful woman before she snapped her finger. Naruto's eyes widened when the chains that bound him suddenly shattered, and he felt a familiar energy begin to spread in his entire body. It was the same energy he felt the first time he almost died.

"I will always be on your side, no matter what happens," said the woman before everything went back to normal.

The sword was just about to decapitate Naruto when his eyes suddenly shot open, and an explosion triggered a shockwave that blew the man with the sword away.

"WHAT?" yelled the man, landing on the ground. He didn't know what happened; one moment, he was about to decapitate Naruto, and in the next moment, he got blown away by an invisible force. His eyes widened even more when he saw what happened to Naruto.

Naruto's eyes were glowing blue while blue flames surrounded him. He held a Japanese long sword with a straight silver blade, a black circular tsuba, and a tsuka with green wrapping. (A/N Look at the cover image to see what Naruto's sword looks like.) The blade of his sword was also engulfed in the blue flames.

"What is this?" asked the man. Naruto said nothing and just dashed forth with newfound speed. The blue flames that surrounded him vanished, but the blue flames around his blade remained. The man also noticed that the hole in Naruto's stomach had vanished. It was like the blue flames just healed him.

He used his sword out of blue energy to block Naruto's forward slash. He gritted his teeth when he felt the heat of the blue flames that surrounded Naruto's blade. He pushed him away and created a spear before throwing it at Naruto.

Naruto made a wide arc with his sword, unleashing a wave of blue flames that swallowed the blue spear. The blue spear vanished in those blue flames before Naruto dashed forth again. The man held a hand before him and summoned a blue magic circle.

"Light Magic: Judgement Ray!" A ray of blue magic shot out of the magic circle toward Naruto. Naruto didn't waver and continued his dash toward the man. Naruto's body and his blade were covered in blue flames before he pointed his blade before him. When his blade made contact with the magic ray, the man's eyes widened. His magic ray was being split! Naruto was advancing while the magic ray broke off into multiple light particles after it was split from his blade.

"NO!" yelled the man, flying into the air. Naruto had some struggle, but he thrust the blade forth, unleashing a burst of blue flames that blew the magic ray away with the blue magic circle.

'What are those flames? They are unlike any flames I've seen in my life!' thought the man. The flames seem to be able to do more than just burn things like ordinary flames. Naruto looked up while the blue flames died down.

"What is this power?!" asked the man. The man narrowed his eyes when he felt the demonic energy of multiple devils approaching his position. He frowned and looked down at Naruto from his position in the air.

'That I experience the same humiliation twice on the same day… you devils will pay!' thought the man before he turned around, flying away. He knew he wouldn't survive a fight with multiple devils.

Naruto only looked after the man before the barrier that imprisoned him shattered. The sword in his hand vanished in a blue light before his eyes rolled into the back of his head, and he became unconscious.

Two new people landed before Naruto. "Quick, check if he sustained any heavy injury," said a certain red-haired beauty.

"Of course, Buchō," said the other person before crouching down before Naruto and raising her two hands over his body. A green glow began to surround Naruto.

Rias Gremory looked at her newest peerage member, who had just survived a fight with a fallen angel on his own without the help of her or her peerage members. She used her familiar to keep track of him since she knew of the fallen angels in the city.

She had felt it with her Queen, Akeno Himejima, when both were flying toward Naruto to aid him in his encounter with the fallen angel. Naruto suddenly awoke a new ability, and even a Sacred Gear. She didn't know yet if the blue flames and the sword he wielded were connected to each other or if both were part of the same power, but one thing was clear: She made the right choice when she chose Naruto Uzumaki over Issei Hyōdō.

She chose Naruto mostly because she would rather have a good-looking, always helping others, friendly, and not perverted man in her peerage instead of a pervert who would do nothing but look at her curves or breasts.

It wasn't that this would trouble her, but if she had the choice, she would always choose someone like Naruto over someone like Issei. Now that she had seen the power Naruto wielded, her choice made her even happier. Those blue flames she saw with Akeno from a distance weren't like typical flames. She could tell by the energy they gave off.

She smiled while her Queen and best friend, Akeno Himejima, stopped with her check-up and turned to Rias. "He is completely fine outside of having no energy left in his body," said Akeno.

"Let's get him to his house," said Rias.

"Of course, Buchō," said Akeno. A large red magic circle appeared under all three with Rias thinking, 'I am certain… he is the one I searched for.' She would look forward to the future she always despised. She would crave her freedom with her own hands and power! No one would ever imprison her in a cage! Never!

All three vanished in a red light, leaving nothing behind.
