Text Change Chapter 2
Lincoln woke up in a panic, looking around to see that he was back in his room. "Was I in the cave?" Lincoln tried to figure out what had happened but concluded that it was all just a dream. "Yes, it was all just a crazy and bad dream," Lincoln said, calming himself down.
Lincoln noticed that he felt something strange as if something had changed. He did not know why, but he sensed that something was different. He tried his best to calm down and not worry about it, although it had been troubling him lately.
After he is nearly fully calm, his phone goes off. Lincoln turns to his nightstand to see why his phone is ringing. Upon looking at his phone, he notices that it is a notification from his friend group consisting of him, Clyde, Ronnie Anne, and Sid. Upon seeing this, Lincoln looks surprised and shocked, remembering what happened and thinking it was a dream.
It was all a dream right Linclon said to himself until he opened his message and saw what his friend sent him.
Clyde's text message: Lincoln, Ronnie, and Sid, are you all okay? What happened? Are Ronnie and Sid okay? I woke up in my bed knowing that we were all at that cave last night.
Ronnie Anne's text message: Lincoln, Clyde, and Sid, what happened last night? How did I get back home? Are you three okay?
Sid text message: Are you all alright? I just woke up in my bed, and I remember we were all in the cave when something happened. Additionally, I felt something strange.
Ronnie Anne's text message: Wait, do you also sense something unusual?
Clyde's text message: I also sense a change, and it is beginning to unsettle me.
Ronnie Anne text message: I am starting to panic as well. I have no idea how we all managed to get home.
Lincoln was shocked after seeing and hearing the text message, but there was one thing he needed to confirm before he could be certain it wasn't a dream. So, with a deep breath, Lincoln began typing on his phone.
Lincoln text message: Oh, guys, before we wake up, did we get hit by my green blast before waking up?
He hit the post, hoping his friend would soon see the text and know the answer. Within a few seconds, he heard a notification from his friend. Taking a few more deep breaths, Lincoln looked at the message.
Ronnie Anne's text message: Indeed, that was the final event that occurred before I regained consciousness.
Sid Text Message: That happens to us because of what is happening.
Clyde's Text Message: Indeed, that is the last thing I recall before regaining consciousness.
Lincoln dropped his phone and was in shock at hearing and seeing what his friend said. With that, they all knew what had happened.
IT WASN'T A DREAM IT WAS REAL.
