Hi, yes, hello! It's me again, your friendly not so present writer! This is a post story author update!

Wow, it's been a long, long time! The years flew past in the blink of an eye, I started writing this story in 2012, 13 years ago! Can you believe that?! I certainly can't! It's wild to me that I only finished it in 2016 after a series of unfortunate events leading me to believing I had lost the last few chapters of my work entirely; luckily as we all know I thankfully didn't and was able to complete the story...

ON A CLIFFHANGER?!

What was I thinking, lord help my poor little AuDHD riddled mind. The last review was six whole years ago asking me to continue this story. I've read through this story seven times in the last two days and feel that I do finally have an idea for how to continue it. But, is there an audience for it?

Since completing the story in 2016 I have had a rough go of thing, chronic health issues, chronic pain, multiple minor surgeries, diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, and PTSD. I attended two yeas of college only to drop out because of my health. I came out as transgender, and am transitioning. Covid happened, I lost my father and my grandfather in 2021 within two weeks of one another to a massive coronary and lung cancer respectively.

Through all of it, though, I never stopped writing and honing my skill; writing unpublished drabbles, poetry, and short stories, both collaboratively and solo. It's been rough, but it's also been highly productive.

With all of that out of the way, I come to the point of this update. If there is interest, even if it's just two or three people, I'll continue this story in a sequel. To that end, I have put up a poll that you can find on my profile, so if you want to see what comes after iFind a Piece of Mind, let me know by voting in the poll!

I will be posting a bluesky account link to my profile within a day or two so you can follow and directly interact with me, and will be adding a cover photo for the story, finally!

Until then, I wish you all well! Yours truly, madly, deeply,

Josie.
