Chapter 2: To Space They Went
The two men got onto the spaceship after a bit of training. They donned a sort of spacesuit-type outfit. The announcer deemed them truly worthy of being space experts, and got into their seat belts. The spaceship felt cold.
"Geez, is there any fricken heating around here..?" Blue felt his teeth chatter as he noticed a piece of cloth floating and acted as if it was a blanket. The blue haired man decided to drive the spaceship. He placed his hands onto the pedals.
"Are you ready for this?" Red asked Blue, confidently, pacing up his breathing as he put on his seatbelt. He noticed his friend was distressed, his breathing was very disorienting. "Chill out, Blue! It'll be like driving a car, you know? Just through.." Red scrutinised Blue, his eyes widening, replying in an exaggerated tone:
"The vast emptiness of outer space."
A female voice called "Ok, passengers, Edward and Henry, your spaceship will be taking off in 10, 9, 8…" the countdown continued.
"This is gonna be so good! We' gon' be cruisin' through outa' space!" Red jittered in his seat and imitated a plane with his arms, caught up in his own excitement until Blue firmly put on Red's seat belt, then gave a very slight smile.
"7, 6…"
"You forgot a little something." Blue's tone was less fearful, yet his hands were still gripped onto the controls.
Red looked down at his lap, and saw the seat belt was fastened for him. His eyes slightly lit up.
"5…4…3…2…1!"
The spaceship launched from the ground and into the atmosphere, which was growing darker each second.
"Bye, Tierra! See ya in a bit, bitch!" Red tongued while looking back at the planet, in which he and Blue exited the solar system after only 10 minutes of flying. Space wasn't as they expected it to be, which was pitch black and kind of lonely. Then, it was filled to the brim with stars, and 'swirly thingies', which he of course meant galaxies as Red called them. It was an absolute wonder! It was pure magnificence before their eyes.
"They weren't lying, this is fucking fast," Blue jokingly remarked with a chuckle, with a tone of semi-shock as he saw Red's person fixed on the speed they were travelling at, wailing his hands around.
The trip was going smoothly, until Blue noticed that the spaceship was starting to malfunction, and they were going to crash. Red got distressed, and started to panic. The two noticed they were heading for a planet in a completely different solar system which went by the name, or at least Red called it, 'Dionysus'.
"What the actual fuck is happening to this thing?" Blue yelled as he felt the ship go out of order. His head immediately turned to Red, whom he assumed pressed some kind of button. Blue wanted to yell at him very badly but then saw that the redhead was just afraid as he was, so he figured it couldn't possibly be Red pressing a wrong button.
"ANYTHING BUT DIONYSUS!" Red screamed, as Blue attempted to pull up the engine, intending to slow the fall. But it didn't work.
Blue yelled again, feeling as if he was losing his voice. "What's that supposed to mean-"
