One afternoon, Gwen, Clarence and her friends were hanging out in her palace in Heaven to hide from the Devil for a while. Clarence explores the palace, trying to absorb everything Gwen explained about her new goddess status.

"This place is incredible. I can't believe the gods chose you to be a goddess. My fiancée, a woman made a god." Clarence said, impressed.

"I know. I just never thought it would ever happen. It was all unexpected." Gwen said.

"But it's awesome! We can hang out and play here whenever we want, we could go swimming or host slumber parties!" Cuphead said excitedly as he was sliding down the railing of the stairs.

"Yeah, and it's peaceful and quiet." Mugman added as he was reading a book on a comfy couch.

And lots of room to sing and dance!" Ms. Chalice said as she was dancing and scatting to a record player.

Gwen sits down in her throne as one of her servants handed her a glass of lemonade.

"Oh, thank you." Gwen thanked as the servant nodded.

Gwen sighed out of boredom.

"What troubles you, my lady?" The lead servant asked.

"Nothing." Gwen answered blankly.

"It appears that you are bored." The lead servant said.

"How astute of you." Gwen said.

"Thank you, milady." The lead servant thanked.

"I wanna travel somewhere. I mean I love it here don't get me wrong but I wanna explore the world some more." Gwen said.

"Just be careful milady. The Devil is growing more desperate now that your wedding day is upon you. He is still looking for you, waiting for you to slip up." The lead servant cautioned.

"I will." Gwen promised.

The three cups all jumped on her lap.

"Where we goin' this time girlfriend?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"Honestly, I don't know yet." Gwen answered.

"Honey, you always pick where you wanna go. Can I pick this time?" Clarence asked.

"I don't suppose you have somewhere in mind?" Gwen asked.

"Actually, I do." Clarence said and held up a picture.

Gwen takes the picture and she and the cups noticed a cowboy in front of a saloon in a US state called Texas.

"Texas? You wanna go to Texas?" Gwen asked confused.

"Actually, I wanna go to Bandera, Texas. The Cowboy Capital of the World." Clarence answered.

"Ooh! Cowboys! Saloons! Horses! High noon shooting matches!" Cuphead exclaimed excitedly.

"Oh yeah. Kinda like that western hero the Lone Ranger." Mugman said.

"I loved listening to the Lone Ranger when I was on the streets. I used to overhear this family's radio and listen to those stories." Clarence said, remembering the memories.

"Oh, did that keep you going?" Gwen asked.

"Oh yeah, I even loved cowboy stories like Wyatt Earp as a kid. I dreamed of having adventures like he and his buddy Tonto did. But now because of you, those dreams had come true." Clarence answered.

Gwen smiled and hugged him.

"Alright. For you love, anything." Gwen said.

"Thanks honey." Clarence thanked and kissed her.

Gwen lifted her ink pen, cuing the cups to hang on to her. She tapped the ink pen and teleported to the Texas city of Bandera.

"Wow, a town in the old west!" Cuphead said, looking around.

"Yeehaw!" Mugman exclaimed.

"So, what should we do first?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"How about we go horseback riding? I've always wanted to ride a horse." Clarence answered.

"I think I know where there's horseback riding tours. The Cassidy Ranch." Gwen said, looking at a brochure.

Gwen leads the group to a local ranch where there were local horseback riding tours. Gwen pays for five people and Gwen and Clarence were each given a horse while the cups had to share one horse. They each wear cowboy hats to dress for the occasion.

A young brown-haired cowgirl with a ponytail riding her horse approached the group.

"Howdy y'all! Welcome to the Cassidy Ranch Horseback Riding Tours! I'm your host Dixie Cassidy!" Dixie introduced herself.

"Howdy Dixie." Gwen greeted.

"Before I start the tour, what are your names?" Dixie asked.

"I'm Gwendoyln Mae Emmons. Gwen for short. This is my fiancé Clarence Hopewell and my best friends Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice." Gwen introduced.

"Wonderful! Now that we know each other, let's get ridin'! We ain't got all day!" Dixie said excitedly.

Dixie makes a loud clicking noise with her tongue and the horses all follow her. Dixie led the group up a trail on the outskirts of Bandera. Clarence is amazed with the sights of the desert. Gwen liked it too but not as much as Clarence, but she was willing to do anything to make him happy.

The group rode until they reached the top of some cliffs where they get a beautiful view of the desert.

"Wow. It's beautiful up here." Clarence said, awestruck.

"Yep, can't get a better view than this." Dixie agreed.

"I'll bet." Gwen mumbled under her breath.

After watching the view, the group head back to the Cassidy Ranch.

"Thank y'all for comin' out!" Dixie thanked.

"Thanks for the tour, Dixie. It was amazing riding on a horse." Clarence thanked.

"Aw shucks, I hope y'all have a good time here in Bandera." Dixie said.

"Okay, wanna go check out the other things you wanted honey?" Gwen asked, interrupting Dixie.

"I could help y'all out with checkin' out the other things. I know this town like the back of my hand." Dixie offered.

"Would you really?" Cuphead asked.

"Of course, there's a rodeo startin' in a half hour. Wanna go?" Dixie asked.

"Actually we…" Gwen was about to say.

"We'd love to!" Clarence interrupted excitedly.

"Follow me. I'll take you there." Dixie instructed.

Gwen sighed while her friends followed her. They arrive at the stands and take their seats. They watched various cowboys ride bulls and horses. Everyone cheered except for Gwen who couldn't stand the noise of the crowd.

Later, Dixie led the group to a shooting range where they learn how to shoot guns at targets with other locals. Dixie teaches Clarence how to properly hold a gun and the safety rules. Meanwhile Gwen feels jealous of Dixie winning Clarence over as she shot bullets to release her frustration, pretending the target was the Devil.

"Woah, easy there Redhead. Don't overdo it." Dixie said, stopping her.

Gwen gave a blank stare, not caring what she said.

The cups looked at each other, wondering what was going on with Gwen.

Later, Dixie teaches the group to how to use a lasso, how to herd cattle and mend fences. All the while, Gwen was not having fun and feeling more jealous of Dixie winning Clarence over.

That evening, Dixie takes the group to a local saloon and orders BBQ ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, brisket, chicken-fried steaks, corn on the cobs, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans and pecan pie. Just then, they hear country music playing.

"Oh! The line-dancing's startin' let's go!" Dixie said.

The cups, Clarence and a reluctant Gwen follow Dixie to the dance floor, and she shows the group how to line dance with the locals. Gwen didn't care for line dancing but tries her best to follow along.

Just then, Dixie corrected Clarence on his line dancing moves and took his hand, making Gwen shocked. Having enough, Gwen storms away from the dance floor and leaves the saloon, leaving the cups confused.

"What's eatin' Gwen? She's been like this ever since we came here." Mugman asked.

"You noticed too? So did I." Mugman answered.

"Uh, fellas? I think Gweny's jealous." Ms. Chalice said, figuring it out.

"Why would she be jealous?" Cuphead asked.

"Look." Ms. Chalice said, pointing at Dixie.

The cups looked and noticed Dixie still teaching Clarence line dancing.

"Oh…" Both cups said, now understanding.

"Wait, you don't think Gwen thinks Clarence is smitten with Dixie?" Cuphead asked.

"No way! He only has eyes for Gwen!" Mugman angrily protested.

"Guys, maybe we should talk to Clarence." Ms. Chalice said.

"Maybe you're right." Mugman agreed.

The cups walked up to Clarence and Ms. Chalice tugged his shirt.

"Handsome, we gotta talk. But not in front of Dixie." Ms. Chalice said.

"Um, okay." Clarence agreed.

The cups take Clarence while Dixie continued line-dancing. They seat back at their table.

"Hey Clarence, I think we got a problem with Gweny." Cuphead said.

"Wait, where is she?" Clarence asked, looking around.

"She stormed out of the saloon when you were dancing with Dixie." Ms. Chalice answered.

"What? I wasn't dancing with her; she was just correcting my dancing." Clarence answered defensively.

"Yeah, but Gwen didn't like everything we did with Dixie and now she thinks you want Dixie over her!" Mugman sternly explained.

Clarence gasped, then a realization hit him like a ton of bricks.

"I didn't mean to make her feel that way. I thought we were just having fun. I don't want Dixie, I want Gwen." Clarence said.

"Well, she wanted to have fun with you, but you were having fun with Dixie more than her. That's why she left." Cuphead said.

"No. No I can't lose her. I can't live without her." Clarence said with panic in his voice.

"Well then, we should go find her and talk to her." Mugman suggested.

"Maybe it would be better if Dixie wasn't with us." Ms. Chalice added.

"You're right. Gwen comes first. Let's go. She could be in trouble." Clarence said, determined.

Clarence and the cups leave the saloon and start searching for Gwen.

"Gwen! Gweny! Gwen!" The cups called her name.

"Gwen! Where are you? I'm sorry! I didn't mean to get caught up with the whole Texas thing. I should've wanted to have fun with you!" Clarence called and apologized.

Clarence sighed and kept looking.

"Gwen! Talk to me! Where are you?" Clarence called.

Meanwhile, Gwen was back in her palace watching the group from her reflecting pool. She wiped a few tears and sat back on her throne crying. Her servants all gathered around her and hugged her.

"My lady, why are you here and why aren't you down there?" The lead servant asked.

"We were supposed to have fun together, but he'd rather have fun with that cow-wrangling wing nut doing things her way!" Gwen cried.

"Milady, did you not hear what he said?" The lead servant asked.

Gwen looked down at her knees.

"He realized his mistake and now he's looking for you. And we think you should go back and talk to him." The lead servant advised.

Gwen sighed, unsure if she should.

"Lady Gosa, may I remind you that you are a woman made a goddess? You have earned the honor of all the mortals on Earth. Do not forget the gods chose you for a reason. There is no reason for you to compare yourself to that cowgirl." The lead servant reminded her.

Gwen looked at her lead servant.

"Also, you have something that he loves about you." The lead servant said.

"What's that?" Gwen quietly asked.

"Heart and soul. He did mention that to your enemy from high school." The lead servant answered.

"Oh yeah. He did say that after I stood up to Judith." Gwen said remembering.

"Exactly. You two are made for each other. Now, go talk to him." The lead servant said.

Gwen sighed and got up from her throne.

"Alright, you win." Gwen said.

She tapped her ink pen and disappeared. The servants all high-five each other.

Back in Texas, Clarence and the cups were still looking for Gwen when suddenly, she appeared at a close distance from them, feeling upset.

"GWEN!" The group exclaimed.

Clarence ran up to her, lifted her up and spun her around. He lowered her down and kissed her.

"I was so worried! I thought the Devil captured you or something!" Clarence said as he hugged her tightly.

Gwen didn't move or say anything. Clarence loosened his arms and looked at her sad face.

"Honey, I'm so sorry. I don't love Dixie, I love you. I didn't realize you were jealous of her. But you are the angel who pulled me out of the darkness. You gave me a home and a family. You made realize I had a reason for living. And I promise I will never forget that." Clarence said as he held her face.

Gwen looked at him.

"You… really mean that?" Gwen asked.

"Cross my heart. Next time, we're gonna have fun… together." Clarence promised.

The cups walked up to her. The couple knelt to them.

"Guys, I…" Gwen was about to speak until all three cups hugged her.

"Gweny, you know we love you, right?" Cuphead asked.

Gwen didn't answer.

"Look, Dixie was interesting, but she could never replace you." Mugman assured her.

"No one could ever replace our best friend, our sister." Ms. Chalice added.

Gwen sunk her head into Clarence's chest with tears streaming down her face. Clarence hugged her deeply, showing her how much he loves her.

"They're right." A familiar voice said.

The group looked and noticed Dixie looking at them.

"Redhead, I was never tryin' to steal your man. And I didn't mean to ruin your fun." Dixie assured her.

"Why should I believe you? You were dancing with him." Gwen asked sternly.

"Yes, I was dancing, but I wasn't dancing with Clarence." Dixie corrected her.

Gwen was unconvinced.

"Did I forget to mention I already have a boyfriend?" Dixie asked.

Gwen was shocked.

"No, you never mentioned that." Gwen answered.

"Amos, come on over here and meet my new friends!" Dixie called.

Just then, a tall cowboy with a mustache wearing boots, a brown vest and cowboy hat approached and held Dixie.

"I'd like y'all to meet my sweetheart, Amos Johnson." Dixie introduced.

"Howdy folks." Amos greeted.

The couple stood up.

"Howdy." Clarence greeted as Gwen slightly nodded.

"Dixie's been tellin' me you folks ain't from around here." Amos said.

"You could say that." Cuphead said.

"Yeah." Mugman added.

"You kids got cups for heads. Of course, y'all ain't from around these parts." Dixie said.

"Yeah, we sure ain't." Ms. Chalice said.

"So, if you two are dating, why didn't you introduce him before?" Gwen asked.

"Because I have a job to do patrollin' Bandera." Amos said as he held up a police badge.

"Wow, you're a ranger like the Lone Ranger!" Cuphead exclaimed.

"A Texas ranger to be precise but yes. Dixie here is workin' her way into joining us once she completes her training at the academy." Amos revealed as Dixie nodded.

"Till then, I work as a tour guide on daddy's ranch." Dixie said.

"Wow. I really misjudged you. I'm sorry." Gwen apologized.

"Nah, don't worry about it. Now we're good, I'm gonna show you the time of your life Redhead." Dixie said as she wrapped her arm around Gwen.

"Really?" Gwen asked.

"Clarence tells me you're an artist. I wanna show you somethin'." Dixie said.

"What?" Gwen asked.

"Follow me." Dixie said.

Dixie and Amos take the group to a place called the Frontier Times Museum.

"What's here?" Gwen asked.

"You'll see." Dixie said.

They enter the museum, and Gwen was awestruck at the exhibits she was seeing.

"Wow, these paintings are so beautiful." Gwen complimented, looking at the gallery.

"Yep, we got the finest painters here." Dixie said.

Gwen looked at more exhibits of Native American displays and stuffed animals, very amazed and impressed.

"This is wonderful. Thank you, Dixie." Gwen thanked.

"Aw shucks. T'weren't nothin'." Dixie said.

Just then, the group hears the wind growing more louder and stronger outside.

"Woah, what's all that wind?" Cuphead asked, looking out the window.

Amos and Dixie looked at each other.

"Tornado comin'!" Amos exclaimed.

All the cup's eyes widened.

"TORNADO?!" All three cups exclaimed.

"We gotta get outta here!" Gwen exclaimed.

"The townsfolk! We gotta get'em to safety!" Dixie said.

"I don't have my horse or my car!" Amos argued.

Gwen whistled and her magic carpet Cerulean Bolt flew out of her satchel, shocking Dixie and Amos.

"Guys, meet my magic carpet Cerulean Bolt." Gwen introduced.

Cerulean Bolt shook hands with Amos and Dixie.

"What in tarnation is that thing?" Dixie asked.

"It's a real flyin' carpet!" Amos answered.

"He can fly through anything." Gwen added.

Gwen, Clarence and the cups get on.

"Come on!" Gwen called.

With no other option, Dixie and Amos climb on Cerulean Bolt and he flew outside the museum and flew to downtown Bandera, avoid things flying all around them. The locals were panicking.

"Anybody got a speaker horn?" Dixie asked.

Gwen magically created one and gives it to Dixie.
"Wow, yer full of surprises Redhead." Dixie complimented.

"She really is." Clarence said.

Amos took the horn and started yelling.

"Listen up folks! Head to the movie theater now and take over in the basement! Now let's go!" Amos instructed.

The locals followed his instructions and headed to the movie theater and headed down to the basement.

The group fly around to make sure nobody got left behind or trapped.

"Looks like that's everyone." Gwen said.

"Wait! There's a kid in that tree!" Mugman exclaimed and pointed.

The group looked and noticed a panicked little boy up in a tall tree crying.

"Fly to that kid!" Gwen ordered.

Cerulean Bolt flew toward the kid when suddenly, the tree branch he held on snapped and the boy was sent flying and started screaming.

"Faster!" Dixie yelled.

Cerulean Bolt flew faster until Amos reached his hand to the boy and pulled him to safety on the magic carpet.

"Phew!" Ms. Chalice sighed of relief.

"Got ya kid!" Amos said.

The boy cried in Amos's chest.

"Okay buddy, back to the movie theater!" Gwen ordered.

Cerulean Bolt flew back to the movie theater, flew inside and joined the evacuated citizens and waited until the tornado passed.

After a few hours, the wind finally stopped blowing and Amos and Dixie cautiously exit the movie theater to check out the damage as the other citizens followed.

"Wow, that was quite a tornado." Clarence said looking around at the damage.

"Wow, and I thought the Devil caused worse damage." Ms. Chalice said.

"The Devil? What in tarnation are you talkin' about?" Dixie asked.

"I'll fill you in Dixie." Gwen said.

While Gwen explained to Dixie her situation, Amos, Clarence and the cups go around checking on everyone, making sure nobody was hurt. Dixie and Gwen rejoin the others.

"That's some story Redhead. That really explains why the cups are different looking because they ain't from our world. And the Devil himself is real." Dixie said, recapping Gwen's story.

"Exactly." Gwen confirmed.

"And this Devil demon is after you for your magic?" Dixie asked.

"Yes. He'll destroy our world by using me. He calls it the Armageddon. That's why we're fighting to stop him. I'm even building an army to fight if it comes down to war." Gwen answered.

Dixie thought for a moment.

"Redhead, can I join your army?" Dixie asked.

Gwen looked at Dixie.

"If he's gonna try to destroy our world which includes my home, I wanna fight too." Dixie said.

"Yeah. Me too. I don't wanna marry him. I want Clarence. My marriage to him will free me and stop the Devil from reaching that goal of destroying our world." Gwen explained.

"Then I'm gonna make sure you and Clarence say, 'I do' on your wedding day." Dixie declared and winked.

Gwen sighed, knowing she won't talk Dixie out of joining her cause. The cups approached Gwen and Dixie.

"Is everyone okay?" Gwen asked.

"Yep. Everyone's a-okay." Cuphead answered.

"But what about the damage of the town?" Mugman asked.

"Mugsy, are you forgetting something?" Ms. Chalice asked.

The cups looked at Gwen who displayed her ink pen with its magic showing.

"Oh." Mugman said.

"Yep. Since I'm the one who carries magic." Gwen said as she grabbed her ink pen.

"What are y'all gonna do?" Dixie asked.

"Just watch." Clarence said with a smile.

Gwen raised her ink pen, her magic inkwell glowed and started restoring Bandera back to the way it was before the tornado appeared. Dixie and Amos stood wide-eyed, and jaw dropped as they watched the magic fixing everything around them.

When Gwen finished, she blew her ink pen like a gun. Amos approached Gwen.

"You are more than meets the eye." Amos said, impressed.

"Thanks. I get that a lot." Gwen thanked.

"I think we had enough adventure one day, let's go home." Cuphead said.

"I agree buddy." Clarence agreed.

Dixie gives Gwen a hug.

"Thank you for all your help." Dixie thanked.

"Aw shucks. T'weren't nothin'." Gwen said with a cowboy accent.

"Your cowboy talk needs work." Dixie said.

"Eh, everyone's a critic." Gwen said unfazed.

Gwen rejoined her friends and fiancé and teleported back to her palace.

"Wow. That gal can come and go so quickly." Dixie said, amazed.

"Yeah, now let's go help the folks." Amos said.

Dixie and Amos join the other Texas Rangers to help the locals with recovery from the tornado.

Back at Gwen's palace in Heaven, the group resettle back in.

"So, remind me again how long we're gonna keep hiding?" Cuphead asked.

"Until the Devil is defeated and when it's closer to our wedding day in the spring." Gwen answered as she sat in her throne.

"We might as well make the best of it." Mugman said as he laid on the couch and opened his book and resumed reading.

Clarence scoots in Gwen's throne next to her until she sits on his lap, to her comfortable delight and to his too.

"You know, I could get used to this. As long as I'm with you." Clarence said.

"Me too. This is a nice place to hide together since the Devil cannot set foot or see us here. Besides I don't want him using any of you as a leverage like he did with Mugman and you." Gwen said.

"But what about the rest of the family?" Clarence asked.

"I added a security measure to ensure their safety." Gwen said with a smirk.

Back on Earth, it is revealed that her parents, her sister and her family along with other extended relatives all have protective spells from the same magic of the invisible sweater so the Devil could not kidnap anyone.

Meanwhile down in Inkwell Hell, the Devil was laying in his bed, recovering from recent kidnapping attempts, seething in fury.

"This is getting out of hand! I can't find Gwen or her stupid friends! I can't get near anyone in her family! And nobody will talk!" The Devil angrily yelled.

Henchman comes in with a cart carrying his tea and medicine.

"Duh, now boss. The doctor said you need to drink your tea and take your meds." Henchman reminded him.

The Devil groaned and sipped his tea and took his medicine.

"We've got to find her! She can't hide forever!" The Devil complained.

"Your army of demons are searching everywhere. Forget about it, she'll be back." Henchman advised.

The Devil sighed as he tried to relax in his hospital bed.

"But at least I destroyed the 'heart and soul' scroll and wedding rings so they can't be protected from me for good." The Devil said, trying to be positive.

"That's true." Henchman agreed.

"EHM! Excuse me!" A familiar nasally voice called.

"UGH! Do you have to do that every time Stickler?!" The Devil angrily asked.

"I've been going over the enchanted artifacts and according to the 'heart and soul' scroll and wedding rings section, they simply cannot be destroyed by your flame." Stickler said and showed the page.

"Don't be stupid Stickler. I destroyed them on the mountain and Gwen was really devastated." The Devil said with a smirk.

"Are you sure about that?" Stickler asked.

The Devil's smirk faded and realized something.

"What are you saying?" The Devil asked suspiciously.

Stickler held up the book for the Devil to read about the scroll and rings. The Devil read until something he read made his eyes widen.

"The scroll and rings are indestructible and only can be destroyed if the marriage vows are broken?!" The Devil read aloud in shock.

The Devil breathed heavily.

"Are you saying the scroll and rings I destroyed were… fakes?!" The Devil asked furiously.

"Correct." Stickler calmly answered.

The Devil growled angrily as Henchman and Stickler took cover as he blew fire out of anger, destroying everything around him. After catching his breath, he restores everything with his pitchfork.

"Where do you think she's hidden them? Or better yet where is she hiding?!" The Devil asked.

"The current whereabouts are currently unknown." Stickler answered.

The Devil whined in agony and laid back in his hospital bed.

"It'll okay boss." Henchman assured him.

"Those idiot demons better find a clue or some news on Gwen's hiding place soon because their wedding is in the spring and we're running out of time." The Devil said as he sipped his tea.

The Devil continued resting in his bed still recovering.

Back in Texas, Dixie continued her training at the academy to become a Texas ranger and working as a tour guide. She discovered a box addressed to her one evening. She opened it and discovered a brand-new colt .45 single action army revolver with ivory grips along with a note attached. Dixie held up the note.

"Dixie,

If you think you're up to fighting in the upcoming war against the Devil, you will need a special weapon to fight. This is no ordinary gun; this is an enchanted gun with unlimited bullets. No matter how many times you shoot, you will never run out of bullets. It could be useful to you. But you must never reveal the gun's magic to anyone. I hope it serves you well.

-Gwen Emmons aka Redhead"

Dixie smiled and put her new gun on her belt and looked in the distance.

"I won't Redhead. I promise." Dixie promised.

Gwen watched Dixie from the reflecting pool in her palace and smiled. She and Clarence continue to live their life with the cups in hiding until things quiet down. Regardless, they were happy as long as they had each other.
