Chapter 18: Genesis War: Mewtwo VS Shadow Mewtwo
SALUTATIONS MY FRIENDS! Sorry it's been so long. Alright folks, the moment you've all been waiting for, the Mewtwo related chapter I've promised you! Also, if you guys have been trying to figure out why there's a Shadow Mewtwo in this story, have you heard of Pokkén Tournament? It's a Pokémon Game that's Tekken related, but with Pokémon. He's that version that's in my fanfic currently. Do not confuse him with Pokémon Go. Thank you.
Mewtwo was flying around in the air. He flew amongst the clouds, stressing out about Ash's temporary disappearance due to the fact he has to recover from his injuries at the hospital. He grunt with frustration. "Ash. You idiot. Why did you have to run towards the danger instead of from it? Do you have no sense of self preservation?"
But then his stress withers away when he saw The Rising Volt Tacklers airship.
"Maybe Arceus can heal him. If I just sneak in and steal that Arc Phone, I can contact him...", Mewtwo planned.
He teleports near the airship and sneaks in. He goes stealh mode near the living room, but hides when he sees Liko and Penny eating breakfast on the couch. However, Liko was eating an omelette with peppers, onions, jalapeños as toppings. Those spicy jalapeños might be a distraction to allow Mewtwo to sneak past without his mission being compromised.
"Phew!!! Hey, Penny! You gotta try this omelettes.", said Liko while waving her hands, overwhelmed by thosw green chili peppers on her omlette.
Penny felt really bad for Liko but laughed. "No thanks! I'm not a spicy fan. But uh... you are crazy, girl. I didn't think you liked spicy stuff."
Liko's cheeks were red of a spicy temperature. "Yeah... Uhm... sheesh this burns..."
"I'll go get you a cold glass of lemonade", said Penny before she got up from the couch and went in the kitchen. Liko was distracted and Penny was gone, so Mewtwo tiptoed through the living room. But he stopped hastily as he saw Liko yawn like an adorable little Mew. He felt that she was getting bored and might start finding where Penny is with that lemonade. So he used his psychic powers to put a disguise oh himself. He was wearing Pizza Delivery clothes.
Liko turned over and saw Mewtwo. But only saw the disguise. "Oh... Well, hi!", Liko said cutely. "Sorry, but we're not ordering pizza today."
Mewtwo blinked. "Uhm, to bad! It's your lucky day! I just got to teleport it to your room. It's all yours for brunch and lunch!" Mewtwo gave Liko a nervous smile with sweat dripping from his forehead all the way down to his cheeks.
Liko just looked at him with a blank suspicion stare, trying to process what's going on.
Why the heck and who the heck delivers pizza at 10:30 AM in the morning. I mean, is this dude serious...? Or...
Then Liko had an exciting thought in mind. "Oh! It's because I'm the hero who's gonna do more than kick those Explorers butts! I am so thankful of you."
Mewtwo took a deep breath of fresh relief. Who knows what happens if he almost got caught.
"You are free to deliver, Mewtwo the Pizza Deliverer", Liko insisted.
"Thank you. You are the best!", Mewtwo supported.
Liko fluffed up her hair confidently. "I know I am. I know."
After entering Liko's room and closing the door behind him, Mewtwo makes his disguise disappear with his psychic powers and gives himself a minute to think of how stupid he thought he looked. "Good job Mewtwo. You just had to find a smart but embarrassing why to humiliate yourself.", he said to himself in a criticism.
"Now where's that phone?" He looks around Liko's room for the Arc Phone. He checked the drawers, desk, and bed, and it was sitting on under her pillow the whole time. Mewtwo found it. "There you are." He grabs the Arc Phone and then teleports outside into the airship's pokémon battle court.
At the battle court, he wants to check the place out before he left. "Nice arena here. I didn't think this airship had this."
"And you're going to have some fun here too."
That voice. What was that voice? A voice of someone mysterious? Who just said that...? Mewtwo turned around and then... KABOOM! A Shadow Ball knocks him down. But he gets back uo and turns around to see who it is.
"Shadow", Mewtwo growled.
Shadow Mewtwo was standing there, evily chuckling. "That's Shadow MEWTWO to you. And I see that we finally meet in the flesh. Liko has told me a bit about you. What was it? Ruining what she had planned for my past nemesis, Nemona...?"
Mewtwo was in a battle ready pose now. He's going to have to fight to escape Shadow Mewtwo with the Arc Phone. He also resented Shadow Mewtwo mentioning Nemona. "You are not fit to speak that human's name."
"Am I not?", Shadow Mewtwo questioned. "Because me, Liko, and Penny will deal with her soon enough. And there's nothing you can do about it."
Then Liko walked up near the battle court, but in a far away distance. "That's right.", she said. "And to think it was just a regular ol' Mewtwo. Nope... It's Ash's friendly one. And he's got my Arc Phone. Ha! Pretty pathetic."
"You're the one who's pathetic. If you keep up your little unhealthy morals onto your mental ill PTSD, you'll make yourself worse, Liko." Mewtwo clenched his fists really tightly, holding nothing back as he's about to prepare for a serious fight against Shadow Mewtwo.
Liko doesn't care and just evades Mewtwo's words. "Make myself worse? Nope. I've been better." She crossed her arms and smirked. "Shadow Mewtwo. Teach him a lesson."
"With pleasure, my friend." Shadow Mewtwo pounds his fists together and cracks his knuckles. He also goes into a battle stance.
The two Mewtwos clash by using Focus Punch. Shadow Mewtwo strikes a Focus Punch in Mewtwo's face. He gets struck down. "You're good for a dark version of yourself.", said Mewtwo.
Mewtwo then starts beating up Shadow Mewtwo with multiple Thunder Punches while teleporting around him. Shadow Mewtwo was overwhelmed by the hits that were given to him. So he decided to knock Mewtwo back with a Shadow Ball. Mewtwo flew in the air in the process but got back on his stance from levitation and flew back into the battle court.
However, Shadow Mewtwo was paralyzed, giving Mewtwo a better chance of fighting. So Mewtwo did an epic move that actually might surprise him. He used his psychic powrs to cause a storm. Grey clouds covered the beautiful sky and it started raining. Shadow Mewtwo was devastated. He didn't know Mewtwo could do that. Liko was surprised and actually impressed. "Hm! Impressive. A Legendary Pokémon that can cause storms? I bet any species of Mew can do that as well."
Mewtwo the threw huge thunderstorms at Shadow Mewtwo struck him.
"GGAAHHH!!!" Shadow Mewtwo was struck by lightning and was electrified.
Then he decided to carefully spawn a small tornado that overwhelmed Shadow Mewtwo. After the tornado disappeared and Shadow Mewtwo was in the air, Mewtwo did a finish move by appearing an ginormous Shadow Ball in the palm of his hand.
"Get wrecked you edge lord!", yelled before he threw the giant Shadow Ball down on Shadow Mewtwo. "RRRAAAAAHHH!!!"
The Shadow Ball came flying down and exploded on Shadow Mewtwo, causing a huge explosion. Roy, Dot, and Penny came over to investigate what was happening while a shockwave and flash was overwhelming Liko that she covered her face a bit while grunting.
Afterwards, it was all over, and Liko then looks at the huge smoke that flows around the arena. She then looks up into the sky to see that it's all blue and shining again. She didn't know a Legendary Pokémon like that had much strength. She looked at Mewtwo with a suprised look. "How did you do that? You're just a Pokémon.", Liko said, feeling a bit fascinated and confused.
"No! Me and my species are the most strongest Pokémon.", Mewtwo proclaimed. "Sure, Arceus, Terapagos, those two paradoxes, and even a Mew stands a chance against me. But at least a try with all the strength I have."
"That's insane!", Dot yelled to Liko. "He actually is over nine thousand."
"And to think the strongest Pokémon was Terapagos. This guy though...?" Penny was concerned about Mewtwo.
"I bet I can fight him using Black Rayquaza!", Roy shouted.
Liko decided not to let her friends intervene as she saw Shadow Mewtwo getting back up. So she put her hand up and the others backed away. "How much can you handle Mega Evolution?", she asks Mewtwo vaguely.
Mewtwo tried to trace back what Liko was asking before his face went utterly concerned that Shadow Mewtwo regenerated from his storm attacks. "What?"
Hint; you can't Liko thought. Shadow Mewtwo gives himself a Mega Evolution, transforming into Mega Mewtwo X.
GRRRAAAAHHHH!!!!
Mewtwo takes a step back, seeing the darkness of orange and purple colored aura flaring around Shadow Mewtwo in his Mega Evo form. He then to out a Mega Stone.
Once he grabbed his Mega Stone, Liko smirked. Roy decided to record this on his Rotom Phone just to see how this battke would go. Penny and Dot grabbed outdoor chairs and sat down whe eating some popcorn.
"If you want to play your card, I'll play mine", Mewtwo said to Shadow Mewtwo. He eats the Mega Stone and transforms into Mega Mewtwo X.
"Let's hope you live to see Arceus again, legend", Shadow Mewtwo said in a vile tone.
"Will see about that", said Mewtwo.
The two Mewtwos charge at each other with Shadow Ball.

Friede and Orla are watching the Mewtwo on Mewtwo fight inside of the airship's pilot room.
Friede couldn't even stand to witness what he's watching but couldn't even ignore being hyped up by such a pokémon battle like this. Orla's head was spinning, trying to get her head around where the normal Mewtwo came from.
"A battle like this makes you wonder if all Legendaries and Mythicals were like this, huh?", said Friede.
"Yeah, I'm more focused on that original Mewtwo. If anything, it might be on Ash's team", Orla presumes.
Friede could not disagree with such a statement, knowing that he even more truly believed what Liko was claiming about Ash was true. He and his friends aren't to be trusted, which includes Mewtwo as well. "Hm. If that's the case, we need to be careful with this situation. That Mewtwo might be bad news."
Orla even found Mewtwo's presence invalid, and he has tresspassed their airship, so she has thought of him being captured immediately. She clenches her fist in a serious manner. "That Mewtwo must be impounded at once. I'll go help Shadow Mewtwo."
But Friede stopped her before she walked out. "Why don't you relax and watch the show", he said before giving a calm chuckle. "Besides, Shadow Mewtwo's got that rowdy fool handled."
Orla calmed herself and breathes before smiling positively. "You're right. We should just let them fight."
Mewtwo and Shadow Mewtwo start another clash with Focus Punch. Then Shadow Mewtwo teleports around Mewtwo. He tries looking around to see where Shadow Mewtwo might attack. With one last teleportation, Shadow Mewtwo is about to strike with Shadow Ball. But Mewtwo smirks as he sees the attack coming.
"I found you faker.", said Mewtwo. He dodges by teleporting from Shadow Mewtwo's attack.
Mewtwo attack Shadow Mewtwo with Fire Punch and slams him to the ground. But then Shadow Mewtwo double punches Mewtwo with Thunder Punch, and he gets zapped in the process. And then he strikes down Mewtwo with a tail slap; using his tail. And Mewtwo falls to the ground, but gets back up with resilience. Now the two Mewtwos are standing in dominance after Shadow Mewtwo levitates down to the ground.
"Do your worst, original me.", Shadow Mewtwo taunted.
"And you? Is that all you got?", said Mewtwo.
Mewtwo is a bit overwhelmed however, because Shadow Mewtwo's Mega Evolution has a lot of better strength than his. Wait a minute... what kind of energy is that?
Liko smiles and gives Shadow Mewtwo a thumbs up. Shadow Mewtwo winked at Liko and gave her a thumbs up in return.
Roy was confused at why Liko looked confident that Shadow Mewtwo was going to win this battle. "Hey, Liko? Why are you smiling? If Mewtwo finds a way to defeat our Shadow version, who knows how screwed he could be?!"
"You see thosw orange crystals on his shoulders? They only show when he's Mega Evolved.", Liko told Roy, pointing to Shadow Mewtwo. "I've finally found the research of what it could be. They're called Synergy Stones. Basically something reffered to as "gaia".
Dot understands what this would mean for Shadow Mewtwo. "So in terms of those Synergy Stones, Shadow Mewtwo needs them to become overpowered with Mega Evolution!"
Liko nodded. She then wondered how Shadow Mewtwo could be poweful with Mega Evolution instead of without it. "Correct... But, you know what's funny... It's seems that without his Mega Evolution, he's already powerful. Remarkable..."
Mewtwo shrugs his thinking off as a way to think Shadow Mewtwo doesn't look that powerful and starts charging at him. But Shadow Mewtwo was getting bored of an epic fight now and starts toying with Shadow Mewtwo. He used Trick Room to make sure Mewtwo doesn't strike anything at him first.
"You're kidding me!", said an annoyed Mewtwo.
The Trick Room however triggers an increase Shadow Mewtwo's Mega Evolved energy. Then he goes rapid speed and rapidly punches Mewtwo with multipe Thunder Punches. Then he tries to strike a Low Kick but Mewtwo dodged it. Then Shadow Mewtwo did dashing attacks on Mewtwo with Ice Punch. Shadow Mewtwo then made the Trick Room disappear and flew up into the air, preparing a giant Psystrike on Mewtwo.
Liko and her friends looked up and saw this.
"If I have to Tera shield us, I will", said Liko.
"Then- you uh... You might wanna do that... that looks like a spirit bomb.", said a concerned and frightened Penny.
"What's a spirit bomb?", Roy wondered.
"This like that one anime I watched where this cool ninja dude did a spirit bomb!", Dot said excitedly in a nonchalant way of being hysterical.
"Tell us in a exclusive detail Dot!", said Liko, who smirked as she was interested in Dot's fascination.
"Well, it was a whole thing about spirit bombs- BYE!"
As Dot ran to take shelter in the airship.
Liko had an akward smile on her face for a second before snickered and giggled.
"You should've known she did that!", said Roy who laughed at this.
Penny chuckled and she focused on Shadow Mewtwo's finishing blow against Mewtwo.
Orla's concerned, but Friede saw that fire in Shadow Mewtwo to finish the fight.
"Are you sure that he should be doing that while Liko and the kids are standing near the court?", she asked.
"I am actually. Liko can just shield everyone with her pendant. And I mean sure, that ginormous Psystrike will do a toll on the arena court's floor.", Friede says before chuckling. "However, Shadow Mewtwo knows what he's doing. He's got this in the bag."
"I- Well, I just hope Liko is okay with this. She hasn't seen huge explosion battles that most Trainers have.", Orla worries. But then all of her worries go away once her and Friede can see a shiny glow happening in front of Liko. It appears to be her activating her pendant to protect herself and others from the shockwave of the blasting impact. "But you know what? I think Liko might have the burning passion to do something like that to.", she said with a smile.
Mewtwo is tries getting back up but only staggers and struggles as he winces in pain from getting all bruised. He looks up at Shadow Mewtwo who's about to strike the Psystrike.
"No... this can't be...", said Mewtwo.
"You left him no choice, strongest Pokémon.", Liko said.
Shadow Mewtwo throws the Psystrike at Mewtwo. "DARK NOVA!"
Liko shields everyone with her pendant.
Mewtwo actiavtes the last of his storm energy and bring in a Tornado Storm with lightning swirling around it.
"ULTRA TORNADO BLAST!"
The storm attacks and weakens Shadow Mewtwo critically.
"NNNOOOOO!!!!"
The explosion occurs on Mewtwo and it becomes very glowy.
"GGGGAAAAAHHHHH!!!"
The shockwave is intense and it breaks the windows of the pilot room that Friede and Orla are in. They cover their faces to not get hurt by the tiny glass debris. After the shockwave cleared away slowly, there smoke takes time to clear away as well.
Both Mewtwo's are now seen laying on the ground. The two have a lot of burnt marks and bruises on them after the fight, along with there Mega Evolution X Forms cleared off, sending them into their original forms.
Liko deactivates the shield and Roy is speechless at what he just saw while Penny's arms and legs trembled.
"It- is it over?", said Penny, who was marinating in fear.
"Yes. It is. But... it can't be a tie, can it?", Liko wondered with confusion.
Mewtwo slowly got up and held his chest while groaning in a lot of pain. He could barley stand but he was strong enough to.
Liko grunted with an upset, feeling so bad for Shadow Mewtwo. He didn't deserve to get a last card played on him like that. "Cheater! No other Pokémon can do storms!"
Mewtwo slowly smirked up at Liko tauntingly. "W-well... th-this one did, kid..."
Liko gasps and then looked at Shadow Mewtwo. She runs up to him and tries picking him up with all of her strength. She then carries him on her back. "I got you, Shadow Mewtwo.", Liko said calmly.
A portal opens out of nowhere, and Mewtwo is confused by it. A voice, disorienting as it sounds, calls Mewtwo from the portal. "COME ON! Hurry Mewtwo! Hurry!", the voice said. It almost sounded like Arven's voice. But why.
Mewtwo didn't have time for questions and answers, he did what was said and hurried towards the portal. Liko looks and sees that Mewtwo escaped. "No!", she yelled.
Penny looked at how upset Liko looked, but then she realized something that she thought of and walked up to Liko. She gently nudged Liko's shoulder with her elbow to get her attention.
"You know... He might have gotten away with that Arc Phone. But..." She brings out another Arc Phone out of her pocket.
Liko takes it and takes a look at it, and her face then turns into a smile after she gasped. "Where did you find another replica!"
"Let's just say, I've been talking to Arceus on the other one that Mewtwo just stole. You never told me you had a secret friend on your side."
This put a smile on Liko's face. She's happy Penny is around to help her. "Oh, Penny. You and I make a very great team! What would I do without you... Thank you."
Penny blushed and her heart warmed up hearing Liko's kind words ring towards her. She felt like she was going to spark emotional tears. "Oh! Liko! Your absolutely welcome! We can hug later. Right now, we need to recover Shadow Mewtwo's injuries from fainting."
"Yeah, agreed. Can you help me up?"
"Sure thing", Penny said.
The two both carried Shadow Mewtwo, and Roy walked with them.
"That other Mewtwo should be impounded after all, huh?", said Friede with a determined charm, referring back to what Orla said.
"Since he just took one of Liko's belongings, yes! It doesn't matter if Penny made sure she has a spare Arc Phone. She was right about Ash and his friends after all! Both him, his foolish thieving friends, and The Explorers are on our watch list now.", Orla proclaimed; disappointed against Ash and his gang.
Friede thinks about how they can trap that Mewtwo the next time they see him. "I do have an idea of how we can take that Mewtwo hostage"
Orla smiles at Friede with her hands on her hips, being determined and supportive of Friede's plan. "And how exactly do we catch him."
"I think... I might have an idea."
Mewtwo flies throughout a portal and crashes to the floor. He was in Arven's room. Arven saw him and helped him get up. "Woah! You good, dude?! You got beat up real bad!"
"How did you know what was happening over there?", Mewtwo asked.
Arven laughed nervously. "Let's just say, I have drones lurking out for any sign of danger. Just like anyone else does. Liko does the sane thing too."
"Here." He sat Mewtwo down on his bed. "Don't tell me Liko had her Pokémon torture you or-"
"Worse than that.", Mewtwo said. "So, basically I didn't know I had an evil twin, but his name is Shadow Mewtwo. I challenged him in a fight in exchange for myself to escape with the Arc Phone. I won the fight, but not unscathed."
Arven was a extremely concerned of why Mewtwo would put himself im danger like that. "Why though?! Did you not hear about what THAT very version of Mewtwo can do?!"
Mewtwo reared back for a hot second, trying to process how Arven knows that Mewtwo. "I'm suprised on how you know him, mister "I'm researching what happened to my parents and Area Zero" expert."
Arven chuckled a bit. "Okay, okay. So maybe I've been studying a WHOLE lot much of things here in Paldea. But let me tell you something, that thing, and his Shadow Species... they're bad news, unless you can fight them more fluently to keep up with their strength."
Mewtwo was curious about what's so special about that species. "What is Shadow Mewtwo, and what do you mean by that."
"People call it, the Synergy Stone.", Arven answered. "I mean... Synergy Stones as in plural. AKA, gaia."
"Gaia?", Mewtwo repeated.
"Allow me to explain.", Arven continued, telling Mewtwo a history of how Arceus created all of this. "Long ago, Arceus created Shadow Pokémon. They all have the same gimmicks, same abilities, same everything. But Arceus thought those Shadows weren't enough because of their black and grey colorings. So he made them feel more special by giving them Synergy Stones, orange crystals, that could make them Mega Evolve, but give them more of the edge to combat then the original Pokémon. More strength, speed, and precision. And thus, there Synergy Stones are somewhat their... well... decorations, or symbolism. Hence why you saw those stones on Shadow Mewtwo's shoulders when he Mega Evolved."
Mewtwo was impressed yet in grief about this information, after remembering what he did on The Island in the past. "I regret making Pokémon clones to rule the world now. But by the name of Arceus, that sound genius!"
Arven nodded to Mewtwo's comment. "It can be a times. But carefulness and caution are the best teachers. Their anger is what you have to watch out for sometimes." He then was curious as to why Mewtwo stole Liko's Arc Phone. "Why take that device anyway? I know Ash got himself knocked out bad, but Arceus believes in Liko. Unless you find a way to make him listen."
Mewtwo looks down at the Arc Phone. "Because. I'm going to have Arceus rapidly heal Ash. Maybe I can have Ash talk to him. But for now, I'm not just gonna sit here and let Ash be out an injured break. Not now, not ever. Liko doesn't just get to choose what she wants to do. We are ending what she's doing, once and for all."
Arven was concerned and prioritized on Mewtwo. "I know you want to help, but you should take a break and let me take you to the Pokémon Center. You put up quite I fight with something you surprisingly won against."
"NO!", Mewtwo recoiled. "After everything that's happened to me in the past since I existed, I can't trust people over there. I'm staying put and I'm going to have Arceus heal Ash."
"Okay, well, you do that. I'm going to get you some first aid and some Pokémon recovery medications. You should be recovered by then."
Arven leaves the room to go get some medical Pokémon supplies and Mewtwo makes the call on the Arc Phone.
Moments later, Ash was about be ready to depart from the hospital as it is day three of being admitted from there.
He rolls outside of the hospital on a wheelchair with Miriam making sure he's secure.
"Alright, Ash. You are clear for take off.", said Miriam.
"Thank you. And thanks for your help."
Miriam giggled. "You're welcome. Please take care of yourself. We don't want another accident like this happening again."
Ash sighed nervously with an akward look. "I know."
Miriam walked back into the hospital.
Ash started rolling away in that wheelchair, miles away from the hospital. He then suddenly saw a yellowish golden shine from the sky. It was glowing wonderfully! And a bunch of Unowns were hovering around a strange Pokémon. That Pokémon was Arceus.
Ash was blown away. The last time he saw Arceus, he had to travel back in time to stop him from causing chaos back at Sinnoh. And then him, Goh, Cynthia, Dawn, and Brock saw that Arceus was there to help them against the malevolent Team Galatic and the firestorm blazing Heatran in the past. Seeing him return again was a marvelous miracle.
"It is a grand luck that I get to see you again, Ash.", Arceus said gracefully.
"You have no idea how awesome it is to see you again too! You're a hero.", Ash supported.
"You have been injured, friend Ash. It seems that Liko has gone to far. To power hungry. Is this true?", Arceus wonders.
"True indeed. She hurt me. And I did no violence what so ever. I know you're helping her, and it's not your fault. You're job is to help everyone, but the way you're help Liko... She's gone on a lust for revenge. Her desire on vengeance is too volatile. She needs help the right way."
Arceus nodded. "And that's why Mewtwo sent me. I'm here to heal you."
Ash as surprisingly widened in belief. Is this really more of a mircale than it already is?
"Wow. I'm honored to be rapidly recovered! Thanks Arceus!"
"No problem, friend. Now hold still."
Arceus begins his healing technique on Ash. He can feel the healing aura coming from Arceus. Knowing that Mewtwo made it all possible, he might as well thank him too.
After the healing process was done, Ash started getting up slowly. He started stretching and wiggling his arms and legs.
"Hey... I FEEL BETTER ALREADY!" He started dancing around all happy like.
Arceus chuckled at Ash's silly yet appreciative demeanor.
"Thanks again Arceus. But... how do we help Liko now. I'm worried for her."
Arceus closes his eyes for a brief second to think of a solution and then opens them to answer Ash's question.
"You must defeat her with the power of friendship. And the only way to do that is to win a Pokémon battle with all of your heart. If you enhance your friendly passion of winning a battle against Liko, it will definitely comfort her and get her attention greatly. That's when she'll realize to change her morals."
Ash understands clearly now. Liko was in pain and she's taking it personally by trying becoming a Pokémon Master like Ash. If he can suddenly be determined to win a battle, but with kindness, care, and compassion that will affect her, she might stop what she's doing. And that's why when he becomes Champion Of Paldea, maybe that'll convince Liko to stop doing all of this.
"Thanks for the advice Arceus. I will gladly take your word for it. But she's participating in the Paldean Championship. When I go up against the champion, I'll be able to go uo against her."
from the astonished look in his eyes Arceus was proud of Ash for now believing that he can't convince Liko to stop all of this without a Pokémon Battle to end this conflict between him and her.
"Very well said Ash. See you around."
"Un! UN UN! Unown!" The Unowns say their goodbyes to Ash while ascending with Arceus and disappearing into the sky.
Ash waved goodbye back, smiling that he was able to get help from the legendary Arceus. He took a look at the wheelchair. Looks like he used it for nothing.
"I won't be needing this anymore."
He kicked the wheelchair away to a boulder. Then he continued marching along the path.
I should really thank Mewtwo for this too. After all, he must've been pretty smart to find ways of contacting Arceus.
Then he gets a notification on his Rotom Phone. Shocked to his surprise, he got a medical bill. 1000 Poké Coins were due to be paid by the Paldean Paradox Hospital in 24 hours.
"1000?! How I'm supposed to pay 1000 coins?!" But then he stopped and thinks after panicking. "Coins? Pokémon."
He looks into his Rotom Phone and finds pokédex research of Pokémon called Gimmighoul.
"I'll have to get in touch with Director Clavell. He knows a lot of about these Pokémon from what I've heard."
He starts running along the path to Naranja Academy, hoping to seek answers about these Pokémon.
Ash is definitely on a pretty hilarious but reasonably serious adventure. Will he find all 1000 coins in time? Of course he will, because he's Ash Ketchum.
In Liko's room, she is treating Shadow Mewtwo's injuries while also making sure he gets some rest after that loss in battle.
"Get some rest.", Liko said to Shadow Mewtwo.
Shadow Mewtwo groans in pain in Liko's bed. But Liko pets his head.
"Aww! I know it hurts. You did SO good though! And you gave it your best! I'm so proud of you."
He gave Liko a thumbs up in response. Liko praising Shadow Mewtwo for his effort is really wholesome and sweet that Penny was in tears of joy. She turned over to Penny, who was bawling her eyes out.
"I'm sorry! *sniff* I don't mean to interrupt!", Penny said; her voice cracking.
Liko chuckled at Penny. "It's fine. How's everyone doing?"
"Everyone's fine for the most part. But Friede and Orla have an idea."
Liko was quickly intrigued to hear this informality. "Oh really?! Is it about The Explorers!" Her thought however simply went straight to her enemies.
"No. Not yet least", Penny said, giving Liko an unfortunate response.
"Dang it!", Liko yelled.
But then knowing how much this might excite Liko, Penny, being a smug little Veevee about it, explains to Liko that it's about Mewtwo, the original one who's been adventuring with Ash. "However... Mewtwo's in trouble."
Liko made an akward look while raising an eyebrow, not getting it.
"And that's supposed to mean, what?"
"You really convinced the Rising Volt Tacklers lately about Ash. And since Mewtwo is with Ash, Orla suggested we impound him for stealing your other Arc Phone.", Penny says.
"Isn't impounding a Legendary Pokémon illegal until further notice?", Liko brought up. "You can't do that unless that Pokémon did something wrong..." But then she realized where she's getting. "And the most criminal thing was he got my Arc Phone stolen. Yeah, that's not illegal then."
Then Penny laughs at Liko and teases her, knowing that she got things stolen from her lately. "You've been getting lots of phones stolen from you. First you're Rotom Phone and now you're Arc Phone. You're lucky I got you a second one. What's wrong today, Liko."
Liko, however, is exasperated and grumbles by the assumption. "It's not my fault Nemona, Ash, and Juliana are idiots." Then she kept her composure. "Hey, at least this time, I will try a different method than what happened last time to get Ash ended up in that hospital. And I have a plan B of my own if Friede and Orla's idea doesn't work. But it has to be a suprise."
"A surprise you say", Penny acknowledges for clarification.
"Yeah. You don't mind keeping it that way do you? I have to whisperer my plan.", Liko says shyly.
"Of course, buddy. Whisper anything. I'll keep it a suprise."
Liko walked toward Penny to whisper in her ear and Penny leaned in to hear Liko.
It sounds like whatever Liko's plan is, Penny is starting to like it as she smiles excitedly.
Why are the Rising Volt Tacklers and Liko and her friends doing this?! Will Mewtwo be saved if he gets captured in the future? Once they see Mewtwo near their airship again, things might go downhill from there.
What are Ash and his friends going to do?
Well guys, Ash is healed by Arceus. Mewtwo will be caught this time if he shows up near the Rising Volt Tacklers again, and Liko and Penny are helping. Oh no.
And that's funny and hilarious how Ash has to pay his medical bills with 1000 Poké Coins. But that's where Chapter 19 comes in.
And oh boy, in Chapter 20 you are in for a treat. Because remember the timeskip versions of Liko, Roy, and Dot in the Horizons series? Well, Roy's rival, Ult, will be have a role to play in my fanfic (Remember this, I don't own anything. This is just a fanfiction, stuff that will never happen in an actual series). And his Mega Evolving Sableye too! It's gonna be an exciting one folks!
And one last thing I forgot to mention, sorry for being absent for a while. We're all human and have a life outside of fanfic writing. But thank you all for being so patient with me. I appreciate and love all of you. Since we're almost somewhat near the end of Scarlet and Violet Arc in the future and moving on to the Teal Mask Arc this fanfic, let me know if you have any theories on what will happen for both of them.
