Everyone looked to Kenji in anger and disbelief, as if he could just show up, as if nothing had happened between them all.
"You guys have every right to be mad at me," Kenji said.
"You think?" Brooklynn asks.
"Thanks for the permission," Yaz said.
"Trust me, I get it. He messed up." Ben said.
"Oh, is that what we're calling it?" Yaz asks.
"He betrayed us. He disappointed us." Ben recapped. "He practically left us for dead."
Kenji cleared his throat, showing Ben that it wasn't helping.
"But he knows it was a mistake." Ben got on track. "He helped save Bumpy. And in my eyes, that's enough for a second chance. Plus, considering what and who we're up against, we're gonna need all the help we can get."
Darius sighed and walked over to start crushing the last of the doors.
"I-I know there's not some magical thing I can say that will make everything right again," Kenji told them. "I am so, so sorry. I had this idea of who my dad was or who I wanted him to be. I kept telling myself that he's not a bad guy. Turns out I was wrong. Me, wrong. Shocking, I know."
"I had this big speech ready in case I ever saw you again." Brooklynn said. "But now, I I just..." she sighs in disappointment. "I thought I knew who you were."
"I'm still the same me," Kenji said. "I'll prove it to you guys. No matter how long it takes."
"We'll see." Brooklynn sighed.
Sammy seemed more willing to forgive as she rushed over and hugged him. "Oh, I have so much to tell you." She said, breaking the hug. "First, I have a new catchphrase, and it is controversial. Next, I've changed my mind about the best day of the week; it's Tuesday. Oh, also, I have a girlfriend now."
"Wait, wh-what?" Kenji asks.
"It's me. I'm the girlfriend." Laura said as she stepped in.
Kenji chuckled with a laugh when he saw they were together and hugged them. "Finally! Sammy and Laura! Oh, we, we should call you-"
"You're too late," Brooklynn said. "I already gave them a cool couple name."
"Darius?" Kenji called, seeing he was still working on crushing the doors.
"You're sorry. Got it." Darius wasn't ready to forgive him quite yet. "Laura, you should get to the desert biome and help Peter."
Laura reached down to her pouch and saw that she had the possible Lizard cure. "Alright." She then rushed off into the biome tunnels. "Good luck!"
"We're going to need it," Darius sighed.
"Listen, man, it's okay if you're not ready to forgive me," Kenji said.
"I'm fine. People make mistakes." Darius said, but it didn't seem like he believed it.
"So, we're cool then?" Kenji asked, watching Darius break the door controls.
"Yep. Just kinda busy." Darius said. "If your dad gets through here, it's war."
"You're right. He won't stop until he gets that password." Kenji confirmed.
"I hope it's enough to stop him, 'cause if he makes those chips, every dinosaur in the world could fall under his control," Sammy said.
"We're not gonna let that happen, Sammy," Darius promised.
That was when they heard banging and looked over to the doors in terror.
"You heard that, right? They're stuck, right?" Brooklynn asks.
They then panicked when they heard a roar coming from the other side.
"Is he using...?"
"Toro," Kenji recognized.
The doorway burst open, and Toro came through with Kon controlling him, and the rest of the controlled dinos came with. The group went running
"Children! We know about your little cave." Kon informed them. "There's nowhere to hide. Kenji! Do whatever's necessary." He told Hawkes. "But leave Kenji. He'll come to his senses."
They then made their way into the jungle with the others controlling the other dinosoars in their command as they made their way out
"The dinosaurs," Darius said. "We need to get them out of here."
"I can buy you some time," Ben said, leaping on Bumpy.
"I'm with you," Brooklynn said, jumping on board.
Peter dodged Kraven's swing, quickly leaping to dodge a strike from Scorpion's tail. These creatures were beginning to become too much for Peter to keep up. Fighting one of them at a time was fine, but dealing with all of them all at once was beginning to become a bit much.
Rhino charged at him, forcing Peter to leap out of the way and allowed Rhino to impact Vulture. He wasn't going to fall for that trick again. Kraven came down again, throwing daggers that Peter leaped to dodge. Vulture then flew in for a second time, scooping Peter up and slamming him against the wall. Scorpion then wrapped Peter up and even injected him with the venom, causing Peter to scream in pain.
"Finally!" Kraven exclaimed. "My greatest hunt ends! And I will soon get even more creatures with my new support."
"Oh, so that's what you're getting from this," Peter groaned, feeling the Scorpion's tail squeeze further into his shoulder. "GAH!"
"For now, this-"
"RAAAH!" Laura roared as she leaped from the trees, striking Scorpion first, attacking his tail. It was too thick for a clean slice, but she did cut into it, causing the creature to screech and drop Peter, tossing him aside. "Go!"
Peter groaned as he stood up and looked at Laura. "No, we can do this! Together!"
"You really think that?" Laura asks.
"At least getting to Connors, yeah," Peter said. "You got the serum?"
Laura sneakily handed over the serum to him. "What's the plan?"
"You distract the others; I will go for Connors," Peter told her.
"That is a terrible plan," Laura said.
Lizard roared as he rushed over and aimed directly at Peter, tackling him and trying to attack with his snout. Peter fought the Lizard, keeping her snout open to try and talk some sense into her.
"Doc, it's me! I know you are in there!" Peter tried to get through to her. "You're trying to cure yourself! Come on! I can help!"
Then, for a brief moment, Peter watched as the killer instinct in Lizard's eyes stopped, going to something that looked more human. Then the chip shocked her, causing Connors to roar as she stepped forward, but Peter watched as Connors was still fighting. She continued to fight the control of the chip that it was doing to her. She let out a roar, turning as Scorpion was tackling Laura to the ground.
Lizard rushed over and tackled the Scorpion, getting impaled by the tail, but her healing factor made it redundant. She then swiped her tail, smacking the Rhino and sending him flying into Kraven.
Kraven was crushed under the Rhino. It was not enough to kill him, but enough that it damaged the control band that he was wearing that was controlling the other Cross-Species.
Peter made a run for it, with Laura and Lizard following into the woods.
Sammy and Yaz began to get the kids out of the chaos with Jeff's help while Darius and Kenji were trying to get the other dinosoars to leave the watering hole.
"All right. Where is it?" Darius asked, looking for the call for danger to alert them.
"What are you looking for?" Kenji asks.
Darius ignored him, trying to look for the command. "Danger. Danger!" He used the command, sending out the warning, and saw the dinos react to it. "You hear me. Go, run!
He watched Big Eatie get Little Eatie's attention, but then they stood there.
"Uh, what's going on?" Kenji asks. "They're all just chilling."
"They're taking their cues from her," Darius said, seeing the dinos were listening to Big Eatie. "There's gotta be a reason she won't move."
Peter and Laura stealthily approached the imposing warehouse, their hearts pounding in their chests as they peered through the dusty windows. They spotted Lizard, her body silhouetted against the dim light, entering through the heavy steel door. There was a palpable shift in the air—she seemed remarkably calmer, free from the oppressive grip of the control chip that had once ruled her every action.
With a steady hand and determination etched on his face, Peter prepared the serum, the cool liquid shimmering in the dim light. He injected it into Lizard's arm, watching intently as her skin, noticeably softer than the armored exterior from before, began to ripple and change. Moments later, Carla Connors emerged—a weary figure shrouded in confusion as she groaned, the remnants of Lizard's DNA receding. Her gaze fell upon the unmistakable absence of her arm, a poignant reminder that the serum had indeed succeeded in reclaiming her humanity.
"Thank you, Peter," Carla breathed with palpable relief, her eyes drifting to Laura, the gratitude evident in her voice. "You, too, Laura."
"Don't thank us yet," Laura replied, her tone tinged with caution. "We're not out of the woods yet."
"Literally." Peter couldn't resist tossing in a light quip, attempting to ease the tension.
But the moment was short-lived. "Kraven is still out there, and with control over the Cross-Species severed, they'll act on instinct rather than strategy," Laura continued, urgency creeping into her voice. "We have to get through them to reach the plane. And we can't forget about Kon—he could find the others first."
"What about Norman?" Peter inquired, his brow furrowing with concern. "Did you guys see him?"
"Not a sign," Laura replied, her eyes narrowing as thoughts of their foe swirled in her mind.
"That is bad," Carla muttered, her voice barely above a whisper, a chill creeping into the atmosphere.
"Dr. Connors, is there anything you can do to help me fight him?" Peter asked, his voice filled with desperation and determination.
Carla surveyed the cluttered lab, her mind racing with possibilities. "Norman had access to our DNA. There must be some sort of file detailing the process he used."
"Brooklynn mentioned the password when she logged everyone out," Peter assured, a flicker of hope igniting within him. "I can get you in."
"Good. Suppose I can reverse engineer the serum he created. In that case, I might be able to devise an antiserum to help restore him to a more human state," Carla vowed, determination glimmering in her eyes.
"What do you need from us?" Laura asked, sensing the urgency in the air.
Their conversation was abruptly interrupted by a thunderous roar from outside, the sound reverberating through the damp, concrete walls. It was Rhino—likely accompanied by the rest of the Cross-Species, who had already caught their scent. They had forgotten how attuned these creatures were to each other, especially when wounded, and the poison from the Scorpion's sting lingered within Peter, its effects sluggishly working against him.
"You to hold them back," Carla told them.
"We can hold them off," Peter declared with fierce resolve, quickly logging Carla into the computer, fingers flying over the keyboard. "They're after us, not you."
"Good luck," Carla said, a note of foreboding in her voice as she braced herself for what lay ahead.
"We won't need it," Laura said.
Peter then got an idea and saw Kash's phone. "Mind if I...?"
"Go ahead," Carla said, getting to work.
Peter took the phone and started to head out into the jungle with Laura. The two of them walked side by side as they looked out to the jungle and saw Rhino, Scorpion, Vulture, and Kraven were making their way towards their location. Peter started to play a song on the phone and tossed it aside as "Like A Prayer" by Madonna was playing.
As they were preparing for their final stand, Laura reached over and placed the mask back over her face, showing it off as Peter looked in surprise to see the new feature. "Where did that come from?"
"Sammy made it for me. Jealous?" Laura asks.
"Jealous?" Peter asked with a laugh. "You look great."
"Thanks. Ready to take these guys down once and for all?" Laura asks.
"It's been a long time coming," Peter said with a sigh. "When we first met, you wanted to kill me. Now here we are standing side by side."
"Let's do this, brother," Laura said, seeing Peter as her family.
"I'm right beside you, little sis," Peter said, getting into a fighting stance.
Laura drew her claws and kneeled down as she prepared for their final stand.
Darius was trying to get the other dinos to move, but it wasn't doing any good. He was trying to get Pierce to move, but even with Jeff's help, they weren't getting anywhere
"Look, I get it. I do." Darius said. "If the alpha isn't budging, neither are you. But if they find you guys here, they're gonna turn you into mindless zombies." He then tried to push Pierce into moving himself. "Please, you've got to move!"
"Come on, Pierce." Kenji gave it a shot, trying to move him. "It's for your own good."
Brooklynn and Ben came running to the others with Bumpy. "Guys! They're coming!"
"Only so much we can do." Ben was sorry to say.
"What happened? Why won't they move?" Brooklynn wonders.
"We're not sure. Maybe the tablet's busted?" Kenji said,
Darius looked to Big Eatie and saw how they were watching the area. "Or maybe she's choosing to defend her territory instead of running away."
"That's pretty incredible, D," Kenji said. "You know what a T-Rex is thinking. -I mean, how many people can say-
"Uh-huh," Darius said. "You should go help Sammy and Yaz."
"So that's it?" Brooklynn asks. "We sit tight, wait 'til the bad guys ring our doorbell?"
"No," Darius said, picking up a branch. "We get ready to fight."
They then watched as the jungle started to shake as Kon, Hawkes, and the twins, along with the dinosoars, marched out of the jungle and approached them.
"We can take 'em, right?" Ben asks.
"I have no intention of hurting you," Kon told them. "I just want the password to my computer, so I can get to work."
"Seriously, guy?" Ben asks. "How dumb do you think we are?"
"This deal is very important to me," Kon stated. "Everything I have worked so hard for, my company, my name, is on the line. You understand that, don't you, children?
"We do," Broklynn stated. "Which is why we'll never give it to you."
"This is my last act of generosity," Kon warned them. "You give me the password, we walk away."
"Sorry, we forgot it." Darius mocked.
Then, it was all-out war. The Sponosorus charged in, only for Big Eatie to come running in and tackle it into the watering hole. Two raptors came in when the Baryonix and Toro surrounded Darius.
"Life is a mystery. Everyone must stand alone. I hear you call my name. And it feels like home..."
Peter and Laura got into their stance and rushed towards the Cross-Species. They were going to make sure that this was their final fight. They were going to end this one way or another. Scorpion came charging, trying to attack using his tail, but Laura dodged it, allowing Scorpion to impale the ground.
"When you call my name, it's like a little prayer. I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there. In the midnight hour, I can feel your power. Just like a prayer, you know I'll take you there."
Peter leaped over Laura, kicking Scorpion in the face, allowing Laura to then leap over Peter as she impaled her claws into his chest. Peter then shot out a web to latch onto Scorpion's tail, to then swing it around, slamming it into Rhino's face. That blinded Rhino to give Laura a chance to leap in and tackle him.
The Spinosorus was being taken out by the raptors on the island, but they used the pteradon to begin attacking it. Darius, Brooklynn, and Kenji made their over to take out the men controlling the dinsoars, and Kenji went first. Tackling the guy, but missing completely.
"That was the best that you've-" Brooklynn knocked him upside the head before he could finish the question.
"Maybe you are still the same guy," Brooklynn said.
Yaz and Sammy were watching over the baby dinos in the woods when the Baryonix came in to attack, causing Yaz to grab a stick and use it to knock the dino back as Sammy chased after Firecracker.
Toro cornered Darius when suddenly Big Eatie came down to save him, keeping him off Darius. Kon watched through the chaos as Sammy led Firecracker into the waterfall hideout and went inside.
"Almost there, girl. Little bit more." Sammy said. "You stay here, where it's safe, okay? I'll be back in just a bit."
"Ha! I'm glad I found you." Kon said, spooking Sammy when she saw him in the doorway. "I wanted to talk to you personally. You know, of all the kids out there,
you've got the biggest heart. It's why you wound up in camp in the first place. You couldn't stand to see your family suffer. Just like you don't want to see your friends suffer."
"Look out!"
"Uh, behind you!"
"Listen to that," Kon said. "You really don't think you children can win, do you? Don't you know that could never, ever happen? You can stop all this before one of your friends gets hurt or worse. All you have to do is give me the password."
"I can't. I'm sorry." Sammy whimpered.
"Oh, but you will," Kon stated. "Because that's who you are. I knew when we targeted your family that you'd cave. You had weak written all over you then, just as you do now."
"Wait, I thought Kash..."
"Kash?" Kon scoffed. "I'm the one who gave the order. I give all the orders. That battle out there, how will you break it to the survivors, if there are any survivors, that you had a chance to stop it?"
Sammy was afraid of what fi he was right, but then grew a stern expression. "We're gonna destroy you."
Sammy kneed Kon, causing him to fall over. "Come on, girl!" She got Firecracker to run out of the cave, seeing it wasn't safe.
"Life is a mystery. Everyone must stand alone. I hear you call my name. And it feels like..."
Rhino, however, wasn't going down as easily as he slammed Laura into the ground and then rushed to ram Peter. But then, next came Rhino's horn flying off his head and being flung away as Laura constantly began stabbing him over and over while Peter was pushing the two of them ahead to fight Rhino's immense strength.
"Let the choir sing. When you call my name, it's like a little prayer. I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there. In the midnight hour, I can feel your power. Just like a prayer, you know I'll take you there."
Laura then leaped off of Rhino, using her talon claw to strike his armor before then doing a run-up assault where she slid down and sliced him at the legs, watching the towering creature fall and crash.
Just like a prayer (oh-oh), your voice can take me there (oh-oh). Just like a muse to me (oh-oh), you are a mystery (oh-oh). Just like a dream (oh-oh), you are not what you seem. Just like a prayer, no choice, your voice can take me there.
Vulture came swooping in, but Peter leaped into the air, flipped around Vulture, then shot out a web that he then latched onto a tree, causing Vulture to come to a sudden stop, which Laura took advantage of. She leaped into the air and struck his wings. The vulture screeched in pain as Peter cut the web, causing the Vulture to fall and hit the ground.
The two of them saw the last of the attack was now Kraven; he came charging in and drew two blades and tried to attack the two of them, getting Peter to leap back, but Laura went in for the attack, blocking the blades with her claws and instantly destroying them. Kraven didn't seem to like that as he drew his spear, using it to then block a strike from Laura. But it left him open for a strike from behind as Spider-Man leaped down, shooting two webs onto Kraven's back, yanking him into the air before then spinning and slamming him into some boulders. It didn't kill him, but it seemed to do the trick and knock him unconscious.
"Whoa," Carla walked over to see the chaos that they had left behind. "When you two end a fight, you end a fight."
"Did you do it?" Peter asks.
Carla nodded as she tossed the serum inside a stronger vial that would be capable of injecting the strongest of dinosoars. "That should impale Norman's skin if he is human or Goblin. But-"
"We only got one shot," Peter took a guess. "We're used to those limits."
"Let's go," Laura said.
"Stay safe, doc," Peter said, rushing off with Laura to go save the others.
Back with the others, they managed to get ahold of a handful of the controllers and destroyed them, taking the people out in the process when the dinos turned their backs on them. Kenji and Darius rushed away from Toro and took a moment to breathe.
"I-I can't change the past, but I promise, I'll never abandon that I care about, ever again." Kenji tried to tell Darius. "Not the dinosaurs. And especially not you."
"Thanks, Kenji," Darius said. "I'm really glad you're back."
"Come on. Bring it in." Kenji said, engulfing him in a hug.
"Yeah, I've missed this," Darius said. But then he tried to break off the hug and was a little confused with how long it was going on for. "Oh, I thought we were..."
"Shh, just a little longer," Kenji said.
They heard roars coming in the distance and rushed off to figure out what is going on, seeing the others were getting attacked by the freed dinosoars.
"Yep, we should go," Kenji said.
"I think they're finally getting tired of us." Yaz noticed.
"Can you blame 'em?" Sammy asks. "We're kicking their butts."
One of the flyers came down, spooking them. "Whoa! Dang it! Had to jinx it, Sammy." Yaz cried.
That was when Laura came down, sliding over and roaring at them, showing that she meant business to them, spooking the dinos surrounding them.
"Laura!" Sammy was happy to see her. "Where's-"
"Right behind ya!" Peter cried, swinging in and kicking Toro away from the Baryonyx.
Kon saw he was losing control and snarled.
"Enough of this!" Kon then drew a master controller that took command of all of the dinosaurs with the chips inside.
"What's happening?" Sammy asks.
"I thought we freed them."
"Me, too," Darius said.
"They're headed for Little Eatie." Yaz noticed.
Little Eatie was surrounded and they began to pound on Little Eatie. They couldn't do anything as even if they knocked down one dino, Kon would still control the others.
"Dad, no!" Kenji cried.
Then Big Eatie came running in to protect her child, fending off the dinorosrs and not giving up. Peter was about to rush in to help when his senses went off, freezing him on the spot. Everything went silent around him, and he heard the muffled cries of everyone as the Spinosorus fought Big Eatie, grabbing at her neck with his jaw.
"CAN THE SPIDER-MAN COME OUT TO PLAY!?" Goblin cried, flying down from above.
Peter didn't have any time to react other than flipping in the air to try and avoid the attack. But that ended with Goblin grabbing him and flying off, laughing the entire way.
"No!" Brooklynn cried.
That was when the Spinosorus came down and bit on Big Eatie's neck, stopping her from fighting. She then fell over, causing everyone to gasp at the sight. Seeing they were no match for them now, and with Peter busy fighting off the Goblin, they had no choice but to retreat.
"What was that?!" Kenji asks.
"We never told him about Goblin!?" Yaz asks.
"Aren't you at least gonna finish her off?" One of them asked Kon. "You know, put her out of her misery?"
"No," Kon stated. "Motivation for the children to give up that password. Now, go get it."
They took control of the dinosaurs again and made their way off into the jungle. Missing the V252 made its way over to Big Eatie as she clung to life...
The kids made their way through the jungle, climbed their way upward, and reached the tree ports to stay hidden.
"If he's willing to kill Big Eatie, what would he do to us to get that password?" Yaz wonders.
"Oh, great." Laura sighed. "So, either we stay and face certain death or mind control...Or we leave the island."
"Laura's right." Darius was sorry to say. "We have to get to the boat."
"What about Peter?" Kenji asks.
"We can't do anything to help him now," Laura was sorry to say. "Goblin has that glider and could be who knows where with him right now. We have to hope that he gets to the boat."
"Really?" Sammy asks. "After everything we've been through? We're just throwing in the towel and leaving the dinosaurs to fend for themselves?"
Peter grabbed Goblin's fist and began to pound on it, causing Norman to lose his grip. Peter quickly wrapped his arms around his neck and tried to take him down, getting him to lose focus. But Norman spun the Glider around, causing Peter to lose his grip and go flying. He then shot out a web that Norman easily grabbed ahold of. He then yanked Peter upward as a way to get him back up to his level. He then laughed as Peter punched Norman over and over, trying to get an opening.
Norman laughed, making Peter turn, and was shocked to see that he was driving them towards one of the buildings. He then flew right into one of the buildings, holding Peter by the throat and forcing him to take the majority of the attacks, and then tossing him through several walls.
Peter, skidding across the floor, came to a halt just to turn around and see some small projectiles heading his way. They were not the bombs that Norman had been tossing, they were small, razor sharp projectiles that looked like bats. He quickly ran through the building, ducking so that the weapons wound up impaling the walls. Peter then shot out a web and swung his way through a window to get an idea. He quickly shot out several wens that latched onto the bats and then spun them around, throwing them directly towards Norman.
Norman laughed as the projectiles headed his way, and instead of dodging them, he allowed them to strike him, feeling he could take them. They did make contact and pierce his skin, but they didn't seem to harm or do any damage to Norman as he laughed. Peter, however, swung over to a tree and smiled underneath his mask. His mask was now damaged, so his left eye was visible, and a small portion of his mouth was shown. But Norman was too late to realize what he had done.
Norman saw his smile and grew concerned as he looked down and saw that one of the razor contained the cure. "No!"
Peter then leaped in anger as he tackled the Goblin, seeing he was now losing his super strength. He pounded on him, but Norman used the glider to send them flying off, heading for the roof of the biome. Peter slammed into the glider, getting an idea as he frantically hit it, pounding at where those bombs were being held and drew one out. Norman heard Peter activate one of the bombs as he slammed it back into the glider.
They only had seconds before the glider exploded, its critical systems failing as they began to glide frantically downward towards the ground. They were sent flying, slamming into the waterfall, flying upward as Peter and Norman flew away from the glider. Peter splashes into the water, crawling his way out. Norman slammed into the rocks near the water as he climbed out and giggled, no harm coming from the fall. He then got up, looking over himself to see that his Goblin form was nothing more than his human form now, and continued to laugh.
"Oh, Peter, did you really think it was going to be that easy?"
"No," Peter stated as he got into his usual stance and was oozing with anger. "Let's end this!"
Norman smiled when he saw that Peter was giving in to his killer instincts. "Attaboy."
Back with the kids, they watched as the sky began to darken and chunks of snow began to fall from above. They rushed their way through the jungle, trying to escape the falling chunks. Laura was having a harder time smelling out any creatures with the sudden change in environment. Splitting off was the only thing they got for them. They had a plan.
Reach the boat.
Survive.
Darius and Kenji made it downward to the sewers, where they were attacked by a pteradactle and left Brooklynn behind for the plan. Kenji and Darius almost made it to the exit when the Spinosorus separated them.
"Darius," Kon said, exiting the compound. "As soon as I start making those chips for BioSyn, this needless carnage can end."
"You're never getting that password," Darius promised.
"I'm disappointed but not surprised." Kon sighed. "Finish the job."
Hawkes then commands the Spinosorus to strike when Kenji rushes out of the woods to get in the way. "Stop!" Kon gestured for Hawkes to stop. "I'll give you the password. Just don't hurt him."
"Kenji, no! Don't do it!" Darius said when the Spinosorus roared, reminding them who was in command.
"It's 'camp fam for life'. But the 'for' is the number 'four,'" Kenji said.
"I knew you'd give it up eventually," Kon said, typing in the password.
"Chip manufacturing initiated."
"You've always been so eager to please," Kon said, getting Hawkes to return to attacking Darius.
"I gave you the password!" Kenji cried.
"Sorry. I don't like loose ends." Kon said.
That was when suddenly they heard a disturbing roar coming from the jungle. Looking over in confusion, they watched as Big Eatie made her way through the woods, but it wasn't just her. She was wearing the V252. It had consumed her and was now using her healed body as a weapon as it roared, rushing over and tackling the Spinasorus as it then sent tendrils to slam the creature to the ground.
Little Eatie came out of the woods as Hawkes backed away, only for her to eat him, destroying the controller in the process.
"The V252 healed Big Eatie?" Darius was confused as to why.
Kenji rushed over in confusion. "Come on, Darius, we gotta move!"
They ran over to the pillars of the facility as the Spinosorus, Big Eatie, and Little Eatie began to fight it out among themselves. They then heard alarms blaring, causing the V252 to shriek, jump off of Big Eatie and make its way to the jungle to hide and find a new host.
"Warning. System critical. Warning."
"Again?" Darius asks.
"What do you mean, 'again'?" Kon asks.
"While you were gone, the core started going haywire, and then there was this earthquake and..." Darius gasped as he looked outward. "poisonous gas."
They watched as poisonous gas began to leak out into the jungle, causing the T-Rexs they fall into the cloud of smoke.
"Warning. System critical. Warning. System critical."
"Something's drawing too much power," Kon said, looking over his tablet and gasping. "The chips!"
"Warning. System critical. Geothermal core overload is imminent. Abandon facility immediately."
"If the system overloads, there won't be any safe place on the entire island," Kon said.
"Then shut it down, Dad," Kenji said
"I can't!" Kon said. "It's too late. We have to go!"
Kon rushed off towards the plane while Kenji chased him. "Dad, wait! Dad!"
"Geothermal core overload imminent. Abandon facility immediately."
Peter shot out two webs towards Norman, who quickly dodged them, going in for a strike, but Peter flipped out of the way, then he webbed Norman to the ground. Using that, he punched Norman as hard as he could, watching him fall to the ground. He wasn't down yet. Peter leaped for another hit, but Norman rolled out of the way and then revealed that the gauntlet he was wearing now had a blade.
Norman let out a whistle as he mocked Peter, aganyzing him further. Peter dodged Norman when he went to strike, and again, then went for an opening as he punched his hip. Norman groaned as Peter punched him in the face. Norman was starting to get slower and slower as he frantically waved his blade around. Peter, however, didn't let up as he then began to pound Norman over and over. He then grabbed the glider and raised it in the air.
This was it.
He needed to do this.
Norman knew too much,
Peter went to finally end this, strike Norman with his own weapon. But before he could strike, he froze. Peter struggled with himself as he tried to impale the Goblin. The monster that almost hurt his friends.
Norman looked up in surprise and began to chuckle when he saw that Peter was incapable of killing him. "Oh, you... you just can't do it, can you?" He chuckled as he watched Peter scream and toss the glider. "You truly are incorruptible. You won't kill me because of some sense of self-righteousness. And I can't kill you because... this is too much fun." He then began to giggle. "Even then, I know who you are. You can't kill me. So, once I leave this island, I will hunt down anyone you've ever loved. Your aunt. Your best friends. I will hurt everyone you have ever loved." Peter grew furious when he heard Norman was threatening the people he loved, but he knew that he was no killer. He couldn't do it. He couldn't kill someone who is unarmed. "I will kill everyone you have ever loved! And I will make sure they know why it is happening! They will all know it was because of you! You... are... A FAIL-" Then they heard something impale Norman, then the two of them looked down at his chest and saw two claws sticking out of his chest, coming from his back. "Oh..."
Norman then fell over. Standing over him was Laura, who withdrew her claws from his back, puncturing Norman's lungs, and watched him fall over. "He isn't a killer..." She then walked over and stepped on Norman, allowing her talon to pierce his back, watching Norman scream in pain. "I don't like doing this. But I am the best there is at what I do. Even if what I do isn't very nice. And what that is?" She then drew her blades again. "I'm a killer."
Peter looked away as he let Laura finish the job. Like there was much he could possibly do to really stop her even if he wanted to...
Laura stood up and sighed, retracting her claws, standing over the corpse of the dead Goblin. Peter looked back and saw her mask was covered in his blood. He looked down at Norman and was sorry it had to end this way. But he was a monster. He was going to harm the people he loved... It needed to be done.
That was when he got the same alert the others got on the biome.
"Warning. System critical."
"What's that?" Peter asked.
"That's our cue," Laura said.
Kon reached the plane while Kenji was chasing right behind him. "Warning. System critical." The system continued to warn them.
"Dad!" Kenji called as he chased his dad.
"Geothermal core overload imminent. Abandon facility immediately. Warning. System critical."
Kon started the plane from his tablet and rushed to get off. He looked back and saw Kenji chasing him.
"Hurry! If anyone found out I was responsible-"
"That's what you're worried about?" Kenji asks. "My friends are back there!"
"Oh, you always let your emotions cloud your judgment," Kon screamed in anger. "We have to protect our name!"
"It's all business with you, isn't it?" Kenji started to see through him. "You don't care about people. You've never even cared about me!"
"We don't have time for this," Kon told him.
"After Jurassic World, when you thought I was dead, did you even look for me?" Kon questioned his father. "Did I even matter?"
Kon didn't even seem to want to answer. "Get on the plane, Kenji."
Kenji didn't comply and walked back, seeing that everyone else was beginning to run towards the docks.
"Get on the plane, son!" Kon demanded of him.
"Warning. System critical. Geothermal core overload is imminent. Abandon facility immediately."
"No, Dad. I'm staying." Kenji stated. "With them. My real family."
"System critical. Geothermal core overload is imminent. Abandon facility immediately."
Kon didn't seem to even second-guess himself as he got into the plane and took off, leaving all of them behind on the island.
"Warning. System critical. Geothermal core overload is imminent. Abandon facility immediately. Warning. System critical."
They watched Kon fly off on the plane, leaving them behind.
"I don't believe it," Brooklynn said. "It worked!"
They began to cheer, seeing that their plan to get Kon off the island worked like a charm.
"I was so nervous when Kenji was giving his dad the password," Darius said.
"I know. I was so worried I'd set off the alarm too soon." Brooklynn said.
"Oh! And thank goodness Ben remembered the crates of sleeping gas canisters in the warehouse." Sammy said, showing that the poisonous gas was sleeping gas.
"Who would have thought the raptors would actually help us?" Yaz said.
Brooklynn then stopped the fake alarm from the tablet.
"Kenji?" Darius saw that he was upset with his father for abandoning him. "We did it."
"It was a huge risk, but it paid off." Kenji was happy to say.
"And now, because of us, these dinosaurs can finally just be," Darius said.
"You sure did," Peter said, walking over with a limp as Carla and Laura helped him walk. "Peter!" Brooklynn and Yaz screamed as they ran over to him, seeing how injured he was and his suit was damaged. "What happened?" "Are you okay?"
"Girls. I'm okay," Peter promised. Jeff then ran over, leaping and tackling Peter to the ground. "Gah!" He then slammed on the ground as Jeff continuously playfully bounced around him, not realizing how injured he was. "Ow! Jeff! Stop, nbuddy!" Jeff began to nibble on Peter's leg, dragging him around. "Jeff! Buddy! Please!"
Jeff then stopped bouncing when he saw how injured Peter was.
"There we go, buddy," Peter was happy to see he got through to him. "Yeah, not right now, buddy." He then started to pet the shark. "I'm alright. I just need some time, buddy."
Yaz sat aside him as Brooklynn joined them. "You sure you're okay?"
"Yeah, you look like you got hit by a truck." Brooklynn commented.
"I'm fine," Peter said, leaning his head on Brooklynn's shoulder. "I can handle it..."
"What about Norman?" Yaz asks. "Is he-"
"Taken care of," Laura said in a stern voice, getting them to get the idea, also noticing the blood on her knuckles gave them the idea of what happened. "It's over."
"We've done it," Peter said as he ended up falling asleep in the arms of his girlfriends.
Yaz and Brooklynn had everyone leave as they sat outside of the biomes, allowing Peter to just rest. They didn't want to wake him by moving him, and it seemed like he could use the rest. He needed some time to finally take in everything that he had gone through and allow his wounds to finally heal.
"Think he will be okay?" Yaz asked Brooklynn.
"On his own? No," Brooklynn said, looking down at his sleeping form. "I don't know what he would do without us."
"Get himself killed." Yaz chuckled.
Brooklynn chuckled in return. "No dbout about that."
Then they rested their heads on Peter's, showing them that they would always be there for one another. Brooklynn looked over to Yaz, and Yaz did the same to her. There was some sort of unspoken question amongst them as Brooklynn leaned inward, and Yaz repeated the gesture. The two then ended up sharing a kiss, the first time the two of them had done so. They weren't sure what kind of strange relationship this was going to be, but they were willing to see how it turned out together.
Together.
