Throughout the vastness of existence, dotted across its expanse of which the end had never been reached, were universes.

Within these universes, were galaxies.

More then one could ever count in a trillion lifetimes.

And within each galaxy, were planets, suns, stars, moons, asteroids and more.

Some galaxies were filled with life.

Others were barren.

Some galaxies were named, known, spoken of.

Others were not.

Some held great wonders and terrible horrors.

Others held none.

Galaxies were vast. Universes greater. And existence was nigh infinite.

But was there a beginning to it all?

It was impossible to know...

However.

Lurking beneath the gaze of a vast amount of stars...

There was an End.

-N-

It had no name.

But it was powerful.

An Entity that had never existed, yet suddenly had.

It first became within a dying star.

And when the system died with its star.

The Entity knew.

Destroy, devour.

Hunger, hate.

That was all it knew as it swallowed stars and planets and moons and galaxies.

Yet those feelings twisted with its directives.

Enjoyment.

Suffering.

Pleasure.

And these feelings became more when it happened upon its first thinking being.

It saw the fear.

It saw the anguish.

It saw the horror.

And It loved it.

The need to devour. To destroy.

Became the want to kill. To torture.

The Entity became more within its cruelty.

And Its power grew.

Its claws sank into universes in their entirety.

Ripping them apart, taking the unknowable amount of lives and forcing them to watch their homes die.

And it did this for a time that was more then the age of many universes.

Until it met God.

The Entity was blocked by a wall.

Its vast form that stretched for trillions upon trillions upon trillions of miles, halted, by a wall of light.

The Entity tried to fight.

But it could not.

For God watched.

Their light halted its darkness.

Their servants broke its slaves.

But the Entity did not cease. It never would.

It had one purpose;

To be the END.

-N-

The Wall was long, but not infinite. It protected but a small portion of existence.

Thus, the Entity devoured every galaxy, every universe.

It sent its slaves against the wall of light and the servants of light.

They died. But It did not care.

For it saw the small, small cracks.

And it knew that eventually...

The Light would break.

It watched.

The servants of light had dwindled.

Yet they were numerous.

Its slaves were infinite.

So, the Entity turned away once more.

Sending its slaves to break against the wall.

As It scoured existence for the power it would need to break the light.

And it found it.

In beings that embodied concepts.

In beings that heralded stars.

In beings that birthed planets.

In beings that gifted life.

In beings that governed reality.

In beings that commanded time.

It devoured them all.

It took their powers.

It took their subjects.

It took their fear and terror.

It took their hate and anguish.

It took their everything.

And when It knew that there was nothing more in existence of worth.

It turned back to the Light.

And It stared upon the cracks in the light.
And it reached forth...

And shattered the wall.

- N -

They were Angels.

Garbed in cloth and armor of white.

Bearing both items of song and art, and death and war.

They descended upon Terra, the unknowing bastion.

They were many. Billions. Trillions. More.

Their song and voice cowed and calmed all those of Terra.

Messengers and Warriors and Artists and many more things.

They told those of Terra of the Entity.

And it was said;

'An enemy insurmountable.

An enemy infinite.

The end of all things.

It enroaches upon us all.

We must fight.

We must unite.

Lo, believe in us, for God speaks through us.

Children of him, brethren of us, heed our words.

Fight with us.

Live with us.

Persevere with us.'

And Humanity did listen, and Humanity did open their minds.

And Humanity did unite, for the first time.

The Angels descended, and they taught.

They taught their brethren to believe.

And Humanity became more.

United.

Strong.

Thus; they awaited the Entity.

Terra, through their effort, through their want for survival, their belief, and all others, became the Light.

- N -

It crushed another galaxy in its grasp.

The innocents within died.

The remaining Light that had lingered perished with them.

It pushed onward, the force which pushed back weakening.

It reached out once more.

Its hand halted against the Light.

It halted, and looked within.

The LIGHT.

It was here.

Within this galaxy.

The Entity felt glee...

And stabbed into the Light.

- N -

Of the 9 billions lives that had lived upon Terra.

Only one survived.

The Angels that had descended were dead.

Humanity, even united, had fallen with ease.

And God had been struck down.

However, God had vanished before It could devour them.

And its rage was vast.

The Entity turned its gaze to the lone human.

The lone human who knelt motionless, head fallen back, eyes glazed, an endless trail of tears painting their cheeks.

It saw the Light.

And through this sliver of Light.

It saw a different existence.
It saw... so many.

The Entity reached forward...

And tore out their Soul.

- N -

He was Nothing.

He was Empty.

He was Void.

...

It crushed it.

It cut it.

It molded it.

It changed it.

...

He had no name.

He had no purpose.

He had no reason.

...

It took its being.

It took its mind.

It took its wants.

It took its desires.

...

No smell.

No touch.

No taste.

...

It stopped.

It smiled.

The Light was ITS.

...

He...

I-

They.

...

Nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing.

Gone.

Gone.

Gone.

Gone.

Gone-

Ian Hunt: This is... going to be an interesting story I suppose? If I ever get around to writing it. Ive never actually read nor watched any official media relating to DxD, Ive only gleamed some things from fanfics, from which I thought the lore, and world was interesting.

Ive the distinct feeling Id tear my eyes out if I actually watched DxD.

This will be a particularly edgy story... I think. And If I ever bother to write this out.
Ah, to throw this out. No Harems. And the only love interest is Asia Argento.

One last thing. If someone knowledgeable on DxD wishes to co-write... I would not be averse to it. Just know that I am atrocious at any type of schedule.
