A/N: Hello everyone! I'm so sorry this took forever to get out. I never intended for this series to go dormant so fast but... ya know. Life happens. Luckily, I already have the next few chappies drafted up and I'm continuously working on them whenever possible. So I should have another one ready to go within the next week or so. Hopefully lol.

To those of you who have stayed tuned thus far, I thank you. Your support will always be appreciated.

Chapter Summary: Just a couple siblings ribbing each other. And a talk show topic.

Knight's Original

Age was a complicated matter.

Some were proud of it, other's dreaded to share those blasted numbers, and then you had the few who don't give a hoot about none of it.

But it wasn't so much the numbers that were the problem here for this particular scenario. No, it was what came with age, and how the old inevitably tended to be replaced with the new.

Case in point; which was better? The original, or the remake?

It was another one of those silly debate topics these talk shows liked to throw out to create conversation (and maybe animosity) towards their fellow human for no reason except that they could, while also shining a light on remakes who sometimes were able to uphold the dignity of their namesakes without butchering story lines and characters alike.

However, the exact reasoning didn't matter to Karr. Old versus new was a topic he himself had been more than invested in at one point way back in his early life, and one he still enjoyed tossing around.

Annnnd... maybe it sorta kinda also had to do with the fact Kitt held just the tiniest bit of hostility towards copy-cat do overs of the classics.

... And maybe it also sorta kinda had to do with his brother getting huffy about the simplest thing in regards to the topic.

It was important to note that his thinking was all to be taken in good jest, of course. Any jibes dealt out were always given with playful intent.

"What are you watching?" Came the curious question from behind.

The little black essence that was Karr couldn't help but grin. Ah, speak of the sweet little devil himself.

"A talk show."

Kitt's curiosity did not abate by the simple response. His sleek frame came to a stop beside his two-tone brother, facing the large flat screen that hung on the opposite wall of their glorified warehouse/garage/maintenance bay. The twenty-first century held many advancements in technology and the Smart TV was one welcome addition to the bay by both AI and human alike.

Kitt's snow white essence glowed with curiosity. "Whatever for?"

"Because there is an interesting debate going on after this commercial break. I encourage you to stay and watch, if you are not needed elsewhere."

"I have no where else to be." The younger Trans Am settled on his wheels. "You know, you must really be getting old to have resorted to watching day-time talk shows. I didn't think you would ever be the type for that. What's next? Soap operas?"

Karr whacked him with his door ("Ow! No need to be sensitive about it!") just as the commercial break ended. "Let me remind you that we're exactly two years apart. So, if you wish to label me 'old,' then you may label yourself as well. Now, hush! It's back on."

Kitt gave a virtual eye roll and remotely turned up the volume on the TV. "Whatever, old man."

Karr ignored him in favor of focusing back in on the two humans. On the screen, the hosts were all smiles and glittery eyed as they recounted their previous topic of conversation. The youngest AI wasn't all that interested until the conversation steered towards a sudden mention of famous TV shows and movies that came out during their era.

"... And with the growing technological advancements and steady demand for the revival of certain classic TV, it only seemed appropriate that today's talking points be about the preferences and where people stand on the matter. To be honest? I really don't know if remakes are the way to go. Seems like it could be repetitive."

The lady speaking nodded along to her male companion. "Indeed. Personally, I prefer most remakes over the original. Sometimes the original just feels like it's lacking any true depth and leaves a lot to be answered. And don't even get me started on the special effects! Whew!"

Kitt bristled, immediately balking at the words. "Wha- Excuse me, missy. How on earth could she say such a thing? That is a highly offensive thing to say! Does she have no class?"

The eldest stayed silent, watching in amusement as his plan to rile up his brother came to fruition.

The male gave her a teasing grin. "I could be wrong, but I'm sensing a 'but' in there..."

"Well, you're not. However some may view, there are instances when the remakes can be better than the originals-"

"Ah, there. See? I knew she was cultured. She does have the blessing of common sense. Good for her." Kitt pointed out. Karr could barely contain his snicker.

"-Maybe the remakes take an alternate route to the original, or explore a previously glossed over avenue that viewers may have felt left out or neglected. Take the new Macgyver show for example. It took the media by storm upon it's first airing."

"Yes," he nodded. "I too, have to admit a special fancy towards the remake over the original version. Much more in-depth with their characters and world building. Like take for instance when..."

The two continued talking about their likes and dislikes of the two shows. All of which falls on distracted audials as Karr suddenly mutes the TV.

"I cannot believe how pissy you still get about such a trivial thing!" Karr laughed. Kitt startles and gives his brother a confused look.

"What do you-? Oh. Oh." The youngest backs up a hair, astonishment clouding his voice. "You menace! You set me up! This whole thing was just a ploy to peel my wires!"

There was an audible smirk in Karr's voice. "I'm surprised you took the bait so willingly, to be honest."

Kitt huffed, backing out of the garage. He had better things to do than tolerate the annoying, childish antics of his brother.

"Aw, wait. Where are you going? You're going to miss when they interview the audience!" Karr teased.

"Nope." Kitt's scanner slashed akin to an angry cat's tail, all haughty and agitated. "I don't wish to see anymore of that disrespectful thinking. I mean how could you so willingly bash the very shows that brought so many enjoyment and shined a light on the entertainment industry? Most of those shows will go down in history as the most well received media for their time and beyond! Why I should call in and give them all a stern talking to! What foolhardy things to convince the younger generation-!"

Karr, who had remained silent through his brother's rant, was now starting to regret pulling this prank all together.

Note to self: Never do this Again...
