With a yawn, Severus walked into the small bakery. He was on the way to his meeting, and he was already running behind. Though, there was the fact the meeting couldn't start without him and he needed some coffee, damn it.

Surely, this place would have coffee? What place that served food didn't have coffee?

"Hm," he murmured, sniffing as the aroma from the baking bread seemed to swirl around him, engulfing him in a delightful hug of scents he had never smelled before.

Looking at the front, he saw a young man behind the counter. He had flour on his fac,e and he kept trying to wipe it off, only making it worse. It was even in his hair, making him look like he was going grey.

Glancing off to the side, he saw a young kid sitting on the floor coloring. The kid looked like a small version of the baker.

Snapping out of it, Severus reminded himself to stay focused. He walked up to the counter and was given a warm smile from the man, though he didn't return it.

He was already stressed out of his mind, and the last thing he felt like doing was smiling or making small talk.

"Hello, how are you?" the baker asked. His voice was kind, calming even, almost as calming as the smell of baking bread, but Severus didn't have time to think about that.

"Fine," he said. "Black coffee."

"You should say please," the little boy suddenly said. He was up and moving behind the counter, looking over it at Severus. He was barely tall enough to see over the top.

"Teddy, please," the baker said, a flush coming to his cheeks. "I'm sorry. Don't pay him mind. Coffee coming up."

Severus crossed his arms and said nothing, staring down at the boy. The boy just grinned at him, not phased at all.

"Daddy said manners are very important," Teddy whispered.

'I'm tired, kid… for crying out loud…ugh…' Severus pinched the bridge of his nose. 'He's a kid. Chill.'

The baker came back with his coffee. As he was putting the lid on, Teddy walked past him and bumped into him.

It was like a slow-motion scene in a movie. The coffee cup and black liquid inside flew out of the baker's hand and splattered right on Severus's new dress shirt.

Severus blinked. The baker's hand's went to his mouth, his eyes wide and horrified. Teddy looked back and forth between them, his lower lip trembling.

"I'm so sorry!" Teddy and the baker yelled at the same time.

"I've got a very important meeting that I'm already late for," Severus couldn't help blurting, loudly, angrily. And then he started to register the heat. It wasn't yet enough to seriously hurt, though it would if he didn't act fast.

His shirt was thick enough, but the coffee was soaking through rapidly.

Groaning, he unbuttoned it and pulled it off, coffee splashing all over the floor and the counter.

The baker still looked mortified, and the kid was crying.

"I'm sorry," the baker repeated. "I'll pay for your dry cleaning. Oh dear, Teddy, stop crying." He patted the boy on the head. "I've told you not to come back here."

Severus glared at them, but couldn't quite bring himself to stay terribly angry. He was just so short tempered today, and late, and without a shirt.

"I didn't mean the outburst." He sighed. Severus looked at his dripping shirt. "I guess I'll cancel the meeting."

Reaching into his pant pocket, he pulled out his cell phone.

"No, wait," the baker said. "You don't have to. I have another shirt in the back. I mean, it won't be as fancy as yours, but it's clean and… um…" The baker looked down. "Let me make it up to you. Coffee on the house, clean shirt…dry cleaning, just leave that here and I'll take care of it."

"Dad, can we afford dry cleaning?" Teddy mumbled from where he was coloring. Severus was taken aback by such a serious topic to come from such a young child.

The baker flushed. "Hush, Teddy."

Holding a hand up, Severus sighed. "Don't worry about the shirt. I've got more at home." He knew he would look out of place in a random shirt given to him by a baker, but he needed this meeting to happen and was loath to cancel it.

"I'll take your offered shirt."

The baker smiled. Severus saw through the flour on his face that the man was good looking and fit.

Severus was tall and lanky, some would say too skinny. Now he felt himself heating at thinking how silly he would look in an oversized shirt the other offered.

"Great! Teddy show him the restroom so he can wash off. I'll be right back!"

The baker rushed off into the back. Teddy got up from the floor and tilted his head to the side as he looked at Severus.

"This way. Um, sir?"

"Yes," Severus said as he followed the boy to the restroom.

"I really am sorry." Teddy's bottom lip trembled again.

He was such a young kid and Severus felt like shit for how he acted.

"It's fine."

Going into the restroom, he washed off the sticky coffee on his chest. He glanced in the mirror and was satisfied that his stomach didn't look too red. It wouldn't have any lasting damage.

Teddy was still there when he came out. "Why are you here, kid? Shouldn't you be in school?"

"I'm five, dad said school starts when it is gets warmer."

He did look small, but he was so well spoken. That said a lot about the baker. Severus glanced over and saw the man coming back.

"Here you go. I'm sorry if it doesn't fit the dress code," he said.

"Doesn't matter," Severus said, shrugging the shirt on. As he feared, it was a bit baggy on him. He hoped he didn't look as bad as he felt he looked. "I'm running the meeting, so I could go in a hot dog suit…"

The kid giggled. The baker looked down at him with more fondness than Severus had ever seen before, not even from his own parents.

"That would be so silly," Teddy said. He ran back to his coloring book and sat down. "I'm going to draw you in a hot dog suit!"

"You brought that on yourself," the baker said.

"Indeed. Thanks for the shirt."

"Wait, one moment." The baker ran back behind the counter and after a few minutes, he brought back another coffee.

"Thanks."

"No charge. Please visit again. Don't let this affect your opinion of my bakery. I make some pretty good bread if I do say so myself."

"I'll try to visit again."

Severus sat at his desk, drumming his fingers. The meeting went well despite the late start and his shirt fiasco. Nobody even mentioned how out of place he looked wearing a shirt with the logo of the local bakery on it.

Honestly, he wondered if they were afraid to mention it. He had picked up a reputation for having a short fuse.

Sighing, Severus picked up his phone and opened Chrome. He typed the name of the bakery, 'Full Moon Bakery', into the search engine.

The website for the bakery popped up, and Severus clicked on 'about us'

'Hello, I'm Remus Lupin, owner and head baker of Full Moon Bakery. Join me and my small staff for the best bread or pastries in town. I'm confident that you will leave me feeling satisfied, so please don't be shy, let me and the little family at Full Moon Bakery serve you today.'

There was a photo of a smiling man, Remus, holding a baby, who Severus assumed was Teddy. Next to him were three other people. The staff, he supposed. Severus couldn't help noting the difference between the man in the photo and the man he met this morning.

Remus in the photo looked haunted. He was smiling, but he looked almost broken, with how he was holding himself, almost hunched over.

"They all have that sort of look to them," Severus murmured. He wasn't sure why, but it bothered him.

The Remus he met today was bright, and smiling, well, except for when the coffee incident happened.

He walked back into Full Moon Bakery early Saturday morning. Severus had no reason to even be out of his house this early, let alone at the bakery, but he felt drawn to it.

A tornado of forty pounds was clinging to his legs before he could walk very far inside, startling him. He was never one to attract children. His grumpy face always seemed to scare them away, even when he did not intend to look upset, he did anyway. As a former friend once said, he had a huge case of resting bitch face.

"You're back!" Teddy exclaimed.

"Where is your sense of stranger danger?" Severus grunted, trying to gently pull the child off him.

"Stranger?" Teddy grinned, looking up at him. "You're no stranger, you're my favorite hot dog man."

'Dear Lord,' Severus thought.

"I'm nobody's favorite anything." He wiggled his leg, trying to shake him off. "Come on, your dad doesn't want you clinging to some weirdo."

This wouldn't look good at all. It was rather inappropriate to have a strange kid practically hugging you. Well, not practically, Teddy was hugging him, his legs at least.

"Teddy," a girl at the front counter said, "Leave the man alone," she scolded.

Pouting, Teddy let go of Severus. "Fine, but will you come over and look at the drawing I made?"

Severus glanced at the girl, their eyes meeting. She smiled at him and didn't seem to take their interaction as anything but what it was.

"Sure."

"Yay!" Teddy grabbed his hand and dragged him to his little coloring corner. He was strong for a five-year-old.

Remus walked out of the back just as Severus was being pulled along. He leaned against the counter and watched.

"This is you as a hot dog!" Teddy said, holding up a drawing of a figure with scribbled black hair and what indeed looked like a hot dog and bun for a body.

"I can honestly say nobody has ever done that for me before," Severus said, unable to stop a small chuckle.

"What? Drawn you or made you into a hot dog?" Teddy asked.

'Damn, are all five year olds this well spoken?' Severus had no frame of reference, so for all he knew, all kids were this talkative at Teddy's age.

"Both. I'm impressed."

Teddy beamed. "So you like it!"

"I do."

Looking around Severus, Teddy waved his drawing. "Look daddy, he likes it!"

Turning around, Severus was dismayed to feel his cheeks burning. It wasn't entirely his fault. Remus was casually leaning against the counter and smiling at him, well, no, probably at Teddy. But Remus was damn attractive.

"I can see that, Teddy."

Remus walked from behind the counter over to Severus. "Good morning…er…"

"Oh, Severus."

"Good morning, Severus. We're glad you've decided to give us another chance." The girl behind the counter giggled.

"Yes, well, we got off on the wrong foot," Severus said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm afraid I'm not quite human before getting my coffee."

Remus grinned. "You seem human enough right now. You've already had a coffee?"

"Well, no. I don't know, I guess I can be…" He trailed off. What did Remus care about his mood swings?

"Think nothing of it. We all have those days."

Now Severus felt awkward. 'This is a bakery, people usually order food and eat, not stand around staring at the owner like a creep.'

"Your website said I'm guaranteed to be satisfied before leaving…"

'Damn it, why did I say it like that? For fuck's sake.'

Remus raised an eyebrow. "I live by that promise. What would you like?" He looked behind him at the menu on the wall. Severus was not looking at the menu.

"Why's your face red, Sevvie?" Teddy asked abruptly, nearly making Severus choke on his spit. Leave it to a child to blurt something like that.

"Sevvie?" he said instead of answering.

"Your name is long, so I'm calling you Sevvie." The way Teddy said that told Severus he could not convince the boy to do otherwise.

"Very well."

"So, why are you red?"

Severus closed his eyes. 'Whoever might be listening, give me strength.'

"It's cold out, you know. Winter and all."

That was lame, even a five year old knew it. Teddy grinned at him and the girl at the counter giggled again. Remus turned back and just smiled.

"Well?" Remus asked again, making Severus realize he hadn't answered his question.

"What do you suggest?"

"Well, coffee for a start. Black, right?"

Severus nodded.

"Right, Ginny, hear that?"

The girl, apparently named Ginny, nodded and started to brew a new pot.

"As for food…"

"Try the Moon Wolf bread," Teddy said. "It's so yummy and it is shaped like a little wolfie."

"Sounds good to me," Severus said.

"Perfect! You'll be satisfied in no time! It's one of our best sellers." Remus smiled at Severus and then looked at Teddy.

"He's my little salesman."

"I can see that. You and your wife must be so proud."

'Way to fish around, Severus.'

"I am, and I'm sure she would be as well," he said, laughing a little uncomfortably. "She wasn't my wife, to be honest," he whispered so Teddy wouldn't overhear. "Surrogate, but we were good friends."

"Hm, I see."

"Yes, so have a seat!"

Severus sat down and watched as Remus walked into the kitchen. He felt like he just put his foot into his mouth.

"Here's your coffee," Ginny said, placing a mug on his table. She brushed some red hair from her eyes and smiled at him.

"Thank you."

"No problem. Teddy seems quite taken with you," she said, before turning to walk away. Severus could swear he heard her say something under her breath that sounded like, "Remus, too."

Surely he misheard.

About ten minutes later, Remus returned with a freshly baked confection. Severus could smell it before he was even out of the kitchen door. It was heavenly. Severus never took himself as the type to make a scene over something as silly as the scent and taste of food, but he had a feeling he would have a hard time holding back from making one.

"Here we are," Remus said, setting down the plate with the little wolf shaped bread. "I even gave you a bigger piece," he said with a wink, before going over to the register. He entered some things and came back over with a slip of paper.

"Thank you," Severus said, trying not to think about the wink. Remus just seemed like an extra friendly sort of person. "It looks wonderful and smells well…magical."

"I'm so glad you think so!" Remus said, putting the paper down on the table. "I gave you the 'I spilled coffee and ruined your shirt' discount."

Severus burst into laughter, which felt alien to him. He hardly ever just cut loose like that, but Remus was also proving to be funny.

"Thank you, that wasn't necessary."

"I must make sure you're satisfied, you know." Remus turned to go back to the counter. Severus watched as he had a quiet conversation with the cashier.

Ginny laughed and said something. Severus raised an eyebrow when Remus blushed and then rolled his eyes. He picked up a to-go menu and smacked her over the head, though that only made the redhead laugh again.

A little jingle from the front got everyone's attention. A smartly dressed woman walked in. She smiled at Remus and then held her arms out, and Teddy jumped up and ran into them.

"Gramy!"

"Hello, my dear, are you looking forward to spending a week with me?"

"Yes! Daddy, Gramy is here!"

"I think everyone can see that," Remus said, laughing. "Promise you will be a good boy for Gramy."

"I always am! Duh!" Teddy jumped down from her arms and ran over to Remus.

Bending down, Remus pulled him into his arms. "I love you, sweetheart. Have fun, make sure Gramy doesn't get into any trouble," he said quietly, but loud enough that everyone could still hear. Teddy giggled.

"Hehe, I love you, too, daddy. I'll take good care of Gramy."

'Gramy' walked over to Remus and gave him a quick hug.

"See you, mom."

"Bye, Remus."

Remus turned his attention back to Teddy and gave him a bear hug, spinning him in a circle. He kissed him on the forehead and waved him off.

Severus watched Remus and Teddy. He felt a pang in the pit of his stomach, but he tried to brush it away. It wasn't right for him to feel jealous over every healthy father-son dynamic he witnessed.

His own father had been anything but loving. Severus shook the memories away and just smiled as he watched Teddy excitedly leave the bakery with his grandmother.

"He's a sweet kid," Severus said. He had no idea why he said it. He never felt the need to think about a child before, not that he was around that many children. He just felt like he had to say something, anything to keep Remus's attention.

It wasn't like it was a lie anyway. Teddy did seem like a good kid.

"Oh, thank you," Remus said, turning to face Severus. "Sometimes I worry how it is for him growing up in a one parent household, but he has…" He flushed. "I'm sorry, I was rambling, wasn't I?"

Severus shrugged. "I didn't mind."

Remus brushed his nose, a layer of flour sticking there. Severus tried not to stare, but it really could not be helped.

"Good to know." Remus looked at his watch. "I'd better go help Ginny before the usuals arrive."

"Oh, sure." Severus looked down at his Moon Wolf bread and picked it up. He put it to his mouth and took a bite.

It was an explosion of flavor, and he had to bite back a moan. Instead, he pressed his hand to his mouth. It was fluffy and sweet, but not too sweet. As he chewed it, it seemed to melt in his mouth like cotton candy.

"Wow," Severus almost laughed. How could bread be so good that it made him feel giddy? Store bought bread would never live up to this. He was sure of that.

Severus glanced at the menu, reading what else the place had to offer. He knew he had to try everything.

Ginny looked at him and then winked. "I see you're under the spell with one bite."

"That obvious?"

"Yes. I've seen that look before. You're not going to be satisfied until you've ravished everything in this place." Ginny picked up a rag and started to wipe down the counter. She hummed a song as she worked, a huge grin on her face.

There seemed to be a double meaning to her words, but Severus did not pretend to understand women.

Sunday, the very next day, Severus was hovering near the entrance to Full Moon Bakery. He felt ridiculous. There was no reason for him to come back so soon, but that bread and… he had to admit it, Remus, as well, was drawing him in like a moth to the flame.

He just hoped he didn't burst into flames if he got too close. Severus was not the type to try and make friends. His colleagues called him a loner, among other names. It wasn't like they had never tried to include him in their after-work get-togethers.

Now here he was, thirty-five and wanting to figure out how to do the friend thing. He had no clue. How did adults, complete strangers, just form friendships?

Severus was a fish out of water.

He knew he was gaining suspicious looks from the people walking up and down the sidewalk.

'Probably going to get the cops called on me. Severus, you're a customer, it's normal for you to go in and buy some bread for crying out loud!'

Clenching his hands, he groaned, making a young girl jump in shock as she passed him. Severus flushed and muttered an apology before taking a deep breath and walking toward the Bakery's door.

The bell jiggled. It was impossible for him to even sneak inside unnoticed.

At the counter was a young man. Severus recognized him from the photo. Next to him was a woman. Not Ginny. The other person in the photo.

The man had red hair like Ginny. In fact, he could be her brother. The girl had light blonde hair. They smiled at Severus as he walked further inside.

"Welcome," the girl said.

Severus got close enough to read their nametags. Ron and Luna. So these were the people that ran this bakery. Remus, the owner, and Ginny, Ron, and Luna.

Oh, and Teddy, of course.

"Hi," Severus said, nodding. "Black coffee, please."

He really wanted to ask about Remus, but held back.

"Of course," Ron said. Luna walked over to the coffee station and put on a fresh pot. "Anything else?"

Severus glanced at the menu, his mouth nearly watering. "I haven't had many items here, well, just the one. The Moon Wolf bread. Can you recommend something?"

"Sure. Sweet, super sweet, semi sweet or savory?"

"Another type of bread that is semi-sweet?"

Luna came over with his coffee and set it down in front of him. "Get the Loony," she said with a smile. "It's named after me."

"Mm?" Severus shrugged. "Why not? One piece of Loony bread." He felt silly saying some of these out there names, but the taste made up for it.

"Right away," Luna said cheerfully. "I'll let Remus know."

Severus's heart thumped and his palms started to sweat. It was a little alarming, to be honest, to have reactions like this around a person he had only seen two times, and the first time had not exactly been a great meeting.

Taking his coffee, he went to sit down. He looked around and felt himself relaxing like the place had magic seeping out the walls. The people who came and went were always happy, always smiling and he even found himself smiling back to some of them.

'Truly, this is magic.'

"One Loony," a soft voice said, breaking Severus from his thoughts.

He looked up and locked eyes with Remus. His heart flipped and there were damn butterflies in his stomach. Severus felt like a hormonal teenager all over again.

Remus smiled at him. "Glad to see you back so soon." It was an inviting smile, and Severus was lost in it.

"Really? Sure you'd want someone like me around?" Severus said, trying to joke, trying to do anything to distract himself from feeling like a little kid. "I'm told my grumpy face scares people away. Not good for business."

"Oh, I don't know," Remus said, with a shrug. "I don't see a grumpy face. Anyways, I like your face, so come back as much as you want." He winked at him again and left him with his bread.

That was the second wink from Remus. That thought kept going through Severus's head, leaving him wondering if this was an episode of Twilight Zone. He could never recall being flirted with before, but it did seem like Remus was doing just that.

Then again, Severus reasoned, Remus was just doing his job. Didn't he once read that retail workers flirt with their customers to get more business or better tips? Yeah, he had read that somewhere.

Looking at his Loony bread, he raised an eyebrow. It was bread in the shape of some weird glasses. Very odd. How in the world did this get named after Luna?

He glanced at the girl in question and saw that she was staring off into the distance, a dazed look on her face.

'Oh,' Severus thought. On top of her head was a pair of pink sunglasses he hadn't noticed before. They were the same shape as his bread. 'A daydreamer, huh?'

Lifting the bread to his mouth, he took a bite, surprised to find it filled with some sort of cream filling. It was another blast of flavor that rocked him. His whole body seemed to react to it.

He tried not to moan in pleasure, but it was just that good. He flushed when a small moan excaped. Luckily for him, more people had entered, and the volume in the bakery was high, full of friendly chatter.

Nobody heard him.

So he thought. He felt a tap on his shoulder and looked behind him. Somehow, as he was lost in his thoughts, Remus had ended up behind him. He had a broom, so that explained what he was doing.

"Is it that good?" Remus asked.

Mortified, Severus nodded. "Exquisite."

"I'm glad you think so."

"I do. I've never eaten anything as good as your bread."

A small blush freckled across Remus's nose and cheeks. "You don't have to say that."

"No, I mean it," Severus said, sounding more passionate than he wanted to.

Severus was half tempted to ask Remus to join him, but he couldn't very well ask the owner of the bakery to join him, could he? The place was becoming packed, although Ron and Luna seemed to be handling things quite well.

"Thanks again," Remus said. He hesitated, holding his broom tightly in his hands. "Oh, I'd better get back." He glanced toward the line of people. "I'm the head baker, well, only baker…"

"Yeah…" Severus didn't know what else to say.

"So uh…" Remus seemed to be in the same boat. "Enjoy yourself."

"I am… I mean, I will." Severus said, going back to eating his bread as Remus walked back into the kitchen.

Luna and Ron were looking at him now as they helped the customers. Ron whispered something to Luna and she smiled, nodding. Ron grinned.

Why did it seem like they were talking about him?

'I'm out of my mind for parking so far away,' Severus thought as he walked down the sidewalk. His work had shooed everyone out of the building, saying the winter advisory called for heavy snowfall and it would not be good for them to get stuck inside.

He was thankful they cared at least. He pulled his scarf closer around his neck and shivered.

His car was parked in the parking garage a block from where he worked. He changed his route so he could pass by the bakery to and from work and had been doing so for weeks.

There was no real good excuse he could come up with, other than he liked glancing into the warm environment, hoping to catch a glimpse of Remus. He didn't always go in but was tempted to nonetheless.

Remus caught his eye often as he walked by and they'd pause what they were doing, smile at each other, and wave, before carrying on.

Now he was walking back to the garage and having a time of it. The snow was already coming down hard and sticking at an alarming rate.

Full Moon Bakery came into view, and Severus jogged to get there faster. He pushed the door open, a gush of cold air following him.

"Ah…" Severus slipped on the tiled floor and would have fallen had he not grabbed the door to steady himself.

Remus looked up from the counter with a gasp.

"Severus?"

It looked like only Remus was around. Severus saw that the sign on the door was turned with 'closed' facing the outside.

"I'm sorry. I didn't even notice the sign." Severus shuddered, suddenly sneezing. "I'll just…"

"Don't be silly!" Remus said, coming over to him and helping him to a chair as he was sliding on the slick floor. "You're soaked!"

Remus shoved the door closed with some difficulty and latched it in place.

"It's coming down too much." He peered out the window, squinting his eyes."There are already two cars in the ditch out there." Luckily, nobody was inside the cars.

Faintly, sirens could be heard in the distance. "Oh no, this won't do," Remus said, going back over to Severus, who was still shivering, his face pink from the cold.

"I'm sorry for bothering you."

Remus waved a hand. "Nonsense. Luckily, I was here. I hate to think of you outside in that snow."

Severus smiled. "Yeah, the wind was about to take off with me."

"Let me help you. You're chilled to the bone." Remus got on his knees next to him and started to remove his boots.

"Y-you don't have to do that. I can… I mean, this is against every health code… barefoot in a bakery…" Severus tried to fight the heat he was feeling everywhere, thankful that the cold disguised it.

Remus laughed. "I don't think anyone is coming by to inspect for any violations, at least not anytime soon." He gently got Severus's boots off and wasted no time removing his wet socks.

Severus buried his face in his scarf, thinking that at any moment, he would die.

"Thanks."

"Of course. Do you have feeling in your toes? Wiggle them."

His feet were numb. He tried to wiggle them, and they moved a little, but apparently not enough to satisfy Remus.

"Oh dear."

Remus stood and looked at Severus. "You can't stay in wet clothes, Severus."

"I'm not undressing in a bakery!" Severus groaned.

"I wouldn't want you to get sick," Remus said softly, with a frown.

"Do you at least have something I can dry off with… cover up with while my clothes dry?" Severus pressed a hand to his forehead. Yes, he was indeed going to die.

"I have something better."

Confused, Severus looked at him.

"Come on, you don't have to undress in a bakery." Remus winked at him and grabbed his hand.

'Third wink…'

Severus blinked and bent down, picking his shoes and socks up with his free hand. "What do you mean?"

"Don't you wonder why I'm still here and not already left for home like the rest of my staff?"

"Well, yes."

Remus led him to a door in the back of the bakery. They had to go through the kitchen to get to it. Severus was counting all the health code violations they were breaking.

"This is one of the doors to mine and Teddy's apartment."

"Oh, so the flat next to this is yours?"

Now, Severus felt like he was going to die for another reason. He was going to be alone with Remus in his home.

"Yes."

"Is Teddy around?" Surely, he would have seen him. You couldn't just leave a five-year-old unsupervised, but what did he know about parenting?

"He's with his aunt, well, not blood aunt. The mother of my surrogate, my friend. That must sound so confusing," Remus said with a laugh. "Her family sort of adopted us. How could you not when sharing a pregnancy, you know?"

"No, it makes perfect sense. Where is she?"

Remus unlocked his door and pulled him inside, still holding his hand.

"She passed giving birth," he answered softly. The guilt in his voice was overwhelming.

"I'm so sorry."

"Thanks."

Not sure what to do to get the conversation on one that wasn't painful, Severus looked around the small flat. He was very aware that he was still holding Remus's hand.

"Where can I strip?" Severus asked.

That brought Remus out of whatever thoughts he was having. Severus noticed the flush on his cheeks, and the other did not have the excuse of nearly being frozen to death like Severus had.

"This way."
