(Spider-Man: Web of Shadows - main theme)
The scene starts in darkness, in its truest and finest form... until some credits in white color begin to appear, one at a time. - 00:00-00:04
[Kranon the Deathclaw-Human hybrid presents] - 00:05-00:10
[An adult fan fiction based on The Loud House, Helluva Boss, and Hazbin Hotel... and the Cthulhu Mythos as well] - 00:06-00:14
[Inspired by TvFan2244, gent777 (forevergent777), and Epic-Writer0.1 (FanficFanMan1)] - 00:15-00:20
From the darkness a bunch of tentacles appear and move to a point far away in the middle of the screen while wrapping themselves around and leaving a gap in its center. - 00:21-00:24
Then the united tentacles spin around at ludicrous speed as the camera zooms in. Making the viewers think they're getting sucked in by a tornado or a black hole. - 00:25-00:27
Now out of the said black hole, the title of the fan fiction shows up: 'The Infernal Loud: The Sin Carrier'. - 00:28-00:36
With the tittle revealed, the camera goes down and discovers some more credits. - 00:37-00:40
[Starring...] - 00:41-00:44
A few images of Lincoln appear. Some as pictures, simple as that, and others as small animations. - 00:45-00:55
[Lincoln Loud]
With one main character presented, the images and the name transform into vapor... - 00:56-00:59
... And then change to another character's name, including images. - 01:00-01:10
[Blitzø Buckzo]
With the founder and manager of the Immediate Murder Professionals presented, a shadowy long tail whips the presentation so hard that causes it to spin for a few seconds. - 01:11-01:18
As it stops, one other character is shown. - 01:19-01:29
[Loona Buckzo]
Since the receptionist of I.M.P. and Blitzø's hellhound daughter is out of the way, a claw attacks the presentation in the blink of an eye, damaging it in the process. - 01:19-01:23
It then regenarates itself and morphs... - 01:24-01:28
... Into the debut of another character. - 01:29-01:39
[Moxxie Knolastname]
No longer needing the marksman of the assassination company, all of a sudden a bullet is fired at the presentation's "head" and the impact makes it do a backflip. - 01:40-01:43
While in the air, it turns itself into some black liquid... - 01:44-01:47
... And when it lands, it alters its form to the introduction of one more character. - 01:48-01:58
[Mildred "Millie" Knolastname]
Now that the powerhouse and last member of I.M.P. has been brought to light, a sharp blade lacerates the presentation in just a heartbeat and makes it fall on the "ground". - 01:59-02:02
The camera then advances on the debut as if to be sure that it is "dead", yet no corpse is there. - 02:03-02:06
The camera begins to search its surroundings in what seems to be in a panic, until it detects an abnormal glow coming from the top. - 02:07-02:10
It gazes up and finds the presentation - with a final name - "staring" down at it while floating in the air and having a lot of dark tendrils that resemble roots or veins. - 02:11-02:18
[THE COSMIC HORROR]
If that wasn't unsettling enough, there are also seven giant gleaming eyes around the presentation leering down directly at the camera.
Before the camera can do anything, the tendrils shoot at it, covering it in suffocating blackness. - 02:19-02:22
And so, commences the chapter...
Chapter 01: In The Dark Corners of your Mind.
I.M.P. felt as if they were dealt a bad hand: Not only were they having to watch over a human kid who had arrived to their world, but also that the said human had amnesia.
Blitzø wasn't completely sure of it and thought that the human was trying to pull their tails. Hopefully, Stolas would be there at any moment and get to the bottom of the situation.
Moxxie and Millie couldn't help but stare at the young mortal with sorrow and sympathy. Having to lose one's memories upon entry to their homeworld was something that never happened before, or if it ever DID happen before, then it was the first time they were bearing witness to.
Loona, at first glance, appeared to be not giving a damn about what was currently occurring as she had her sights on her hellphone. However, she gave him a subtle eye out of pity every now and then.
The boss imp, after giving the human a quick introduction along with his company, was pacing back and forth in the room, becoming more restless with each passing second.
"Come on, Stolas." he murmured. "Anytime now would be good."
Right after saying that there was a knock on the door.
Blitzø wasted no time and went to answer it.
"About fucking time." he said in exasperation when he realized it was who he was expecting.
"My apologies, Blitzy." the demon from the other side spoke with a british voice of high class as he entered the room. "But I had some urgent papers to review. Now then, what seems to be the problem?"
"Here's the problem." the tall imp pointed to the little human sitted on the couch. "That's why I called you, Stolas. See what you can do about him."
Stolas was an anthro owl demon.
Tall and slender, with a white heart-shaped facial disk and small black beak. He had two pairs of almond-shaped red eyes, one set atop the other, yet appeared to have no visible irises or pupils.
His body was covered with grey-blue feathers, and had a long, plume-like tail. He even had on his chest a light-grey-blue puff of fur.
His black limbs were long and thin; and his feet looked like claws from a bird.
The owl demon wore a deep red tunic with six linked golden buttons down the torso, and beige breeches. His accessories consisted of a feathery tophat which had a regal gold crown encircling it; a long burgundy cape, tattered at the hemline, with a plush ermine-look fur collar; and a pair of long black gloves with white feathered trims at the elbows.
The second Stolas had laid eyes on the human he was actually caught off guard. Did something occur on the imps' assignment? Or was there an accident when the imps used his book to gain access to the mortal world? Regardless, he was glad that Blitzø called him.
The boy, since the moment he knew he had lost his memories, was surprisingly calm, even though he knew he had the right to freak out. But, somehow, despite feeling scared it wasn't to the point of suffering a panic attack. He couldn't help but wonder what was happening to himself.
Stolas walked slowly to the little mortal and did his best to not look intimidating.
"Greetings, young man." Stolas began to speak, introducing himself. "I am Prince Stolas of the Ars Goetia Family."
"P-Prince!?" the boy stammered in utter surprise, never expecting to be in the presence of royalty.
He quickly got off the couch and got on his knees with his head down to show respect.
"I'm so sorry, your Majesty. I had no idea." he admitted, quietly praying that he wasn't in trouble.
The owl demon laughed wholeheartedly before saying: "Come now, little one. There's no need for that. But, credit where it's due, you've shown me to have some good manners. And that's something that not many have, including among younglings."
Another thing that the little mortal wasn't expecting - Stolas, for a royal and a demon, appeared to actually be nice. Still, he was unsure if it was for him to cease how he was addressing or bowing down in front of the demonic prince.
He stood up and looked at the prince with a slightly bashful expression: "Well... if you say so, Mr. Stolas."
Stolas took the opportunity to examine the boy's attire - which was a black hooded cloak.
The Ars Goetia Prince thought that the little mortal didn't appear to be the type who would be interested in occultism. But maybe he would ask about it later.
"You don't ev-" the owl demon was about to tell him there was no need for formalities either, but then he figured that maybe they could discuss it for another time. "Nevermind. Care to tell me who you are, young man?"
"The kid said he doesn't remember who he is." Blitzø spoke up for the little human. "But I, for one, don't believe him."
"And how would you be able to tell when someone is lying and when someone isn't, sir?" Moxxie was the next one to speak up, wanting to hear what would be his boss' explanation.
"That would be because I have a big brain in my skull, Moxxie." the tall imp replied, smugly. "Bigger than yours, that is."
The firearms specialist groaned at that, but still he said nothing.
Thinking there would be no further distractions, Stolas focused back on the little mortal.
"If that is true, then I think I may have something to help with the memory loss." the Ars Goetia Prince stated and then called for his favorite imp. "Blitzy, if you please, go and get me my book."
"Yeah yeah, I'll go get it." Blitzø said, looking like he was somewhat vexed as he walked into his office.
Moments later, the boss of I.M.P. came back with Stolas' grimoire in his hands.
As the owl demon received his book, he took a minute to scour its pages for the right spell.
Once he had found what he wanted, he turned his eyes to the little mortal as he set the spellbook on the table.
"Now then, young man, I shall need you to close your eyes and focus as hard as you can on what you wish to remember. I'm going to use my magic to enter your mind and see what memories are affected as well as restore them." the Ars Goetia Prince warned him. "Are you ready?"
"I- I think so." the boy was unsure but still consented before he shut his eyelids.
And so, with a purple-blue aura in the palm of his right hand, he placed the said hand on the boy's head and sent his essence into him.
-WITHIN THE YOUNG HUMAN'S HEAD-
Stolas found himself in a dark area with nothing but a light illuminating a small part of his location.
He took a moment to look around... however, there was nothing.
The owl demon pondered on why there was nothing except darkness, though something quickly came to his head.
He then stared upwards and spoke: "Young man, I'm not finding anything. But let's try something else. I ask of you to do your best and focus first on your identity: your name, for example."
Seconds later a tiny flare surprised him when it appeared in front of him just a few feet away.
Upon sensing that there was no danger, Stolas believed that it was fine and he walked up to it.
Taking a moment to observe more carefully, he noticed what seemed to be a lock of some sort in its core.
He then moved a hand to touch it, and when he made contact... the lock in the flare vanished, and a piece of the human's memories was released.
Full name: Lincoln Albert Loud;
Age: 11 years old;
Born in: 15 of May, 2012* (* - For this story, let's say it is);
Birthplace: Royal Woods, Michigan;
Living in: 1216 Franklin Avenue;
Parents: Lynn Sr. and Rita Loud.
Stolas was proud to know he was able to find some information about the boy while also helping him restore some of his memories.
From what the Ars Goetia Prince noticed as well, Lincoln was even the middle child and sole brother of ten sisters.
Hold on... what!?
Thinking that he might've misread that last line, the owl demon double-checked.
Lincoln was the middle child and sole brother of... ten sisters!?
Holy f- Granted, Stolas knew that he himself had a lot of siblings, at least according to his unmindful father Paimon. But to find a human with so many sisters while he was the only brother, now that was actually something else.
Still, there was work to be done for the time being.
While checking the rest of Lincoln's biography, the owl demon stumbled upon a peculiar skill which was simply called 'Fourth Wall Awareness'.
There was curiosity in his eyes.
What could that 'fourth wall awareness' be about?
Thinking that there was nothing wrong with taking a peek, Stolas touched it.
And right in the next moment, he noticed something quite surprising...
Stolas was looking at a large crowd of people - the readers! (or viewers, if you prefer)
The Ars Goetia Prince was never expecting to see such a massive audience from another reality. He was even able to detect another him in the said audience.
"G-good day to you all." he sort of waved to the readers with a bashful face. "This is... quite something."
Although Stolas was already experienced in dealing with crowds, it wasn't in the multi-dimensional quality. So, it was clear that he was having a tad of stage fright.
He was going to shut that "window", thinking that it was enough of a peek, and upon contact... nothing occurred. The readers were still present.
He went to try again, except at that point the skill disappeared into obscurity. Yet, the multi-dimensional audience remained.
All of a sudden, the entire area began to quake at such a ruthless level that the Ars Goetia Prince almost lost his footing.
Then, the "floor" that he was standing on dissipated, causing him to plummet.
He was about to use his power to prevent himself from falling any further. But before he could, something held him in mid air.
The owl demon could only wonder how did that happen, as he knew for a fact that it wasn't him.
In the next moment, he detected some movement in the shadows and what ever it was... it was heading towards him.
Stolas was unable to do anything, what ever invisible force was holding him in place it was also making it difficult for him to move!
As the thing in the shadows got nearer, he noticed it was large, much larger than anything he had ever laid eyes on - it was colossal!
The entity opened its seven huge glowing eyes to look directly at Stolas, almost as if judging him.
The Ars Goetia Prince, even in his stupified but shivering state, was able to see that each eye had a different color: green; yellow; pink; blue; orange; purple; and red.
The thing in the shadows then opened its massive maw filled with multiple sets of razor-sharp teeth, making him think that it was-
"GET OUUUUT!" the entity howled in an otherworldly and unnatural voice, even by demons' standards, as Stolas was released and sent flying out of the place.
-BACK IN THE DEMON WORLD-
Since the moment that Stolas used his spell go inside of the little human's head, the two of them just stood there exactly as they were and with their eyes closed while I.M.P. were watching them and waiting with apprehension.
Everyone there took notice of the owl demon's facial features changing from surprised in one moment and then to nervous in the next.
Blitzø was going to call out to the Ars Goetia Prince. But before he could utter a single word, Stolas and the boy came back to their senses at the same time as the former also seemed to have been shoved with enough force to even be slammed to the floor!
That made the individuals of I.M.P. stare at the young human and at the owl demon with flabbergasted faces.
"Stolas!" the boss imp immediately dashed to the owl demon to help him stand up. "You okay? What the fuck happened?"
At first, Stolas said nothing as he was breathing in and out at a rapid pace.
"I- I found... the problem in our young human. Or should I say, IT found me first." he started to speak once he had composed himself enough.
"Wha- What're you talking about, Stolas?" the tall imp inquired, he and the others were wondering on what was it that Stolas saw in the boy's head.
"I discovered what was giving the boy amnesia." the Ars Goetia Prince simply stated with serious eyes at Blitzø.
The boss imp was dumbfounded: "Wait a minute. Stolas, are you fucking saying that the kid wasn't pulling our tails?"
"No, Blitzø. He never was." Stolas matter-of-factly responded to his friend before turning his eyes to the little mortal in the room.
The said mortal, right at the moment that Stolas was forced out of his mind, couldn't stop himself from trembling in fright. Almost like he had seen what Stolas bared witness to.
Millie and Moxxie, no longer able to stand idly by, quickly went to help the young human relax. The female imp embraced him as comfortably as she could; and the male made the boy look him in the eyes, both to silently tell him that he was safe and to figure out his state of mind.
As the boss imp stared at his two employees and their consoling interaction with the young human, he wondered what was it that the owl demon uncovered in that human's head.
"Blitzø, let us talk in your office in private, shall we?" Stolas inquired in a whisper, though there was nothing raunchy in his tone.
"Fine." Blitzø also whispered to him in response and then added with a slightly nettled face. "But if you're thinking of having me bang you on MY desk later, forget it."
And so, the Ars Goetia Prince stood up and accompanied the boss imp to his personal office.
Once they were inside and locked the door, Blitzø began while he walked to his desk and leaned on it: "Alright, Stolas. Now tell me, what did you see in the kid?"
The Ars Goetia Prince took a deep breath to prepare himself and then responded with a hint of lingering fear at the end: "Blitzø, I'm not going to try and lie. But what I saw in him... actually scared me."
The boss imp gave him a skeptical face as he questioned with a tad of a joke: "What? Is the kid a midget in disguise?"
"Blitzø, I mean it." Stolas admonished, though not too harshly. "I don't think that poor child has any idea of how much of a burden he's carrying on his shoulders."
But Blitzø remained unconvinced: "Uh huh. Next you're gonna say that he's the human handpicked by Lucifer himself to be his champion."
Stolas gave out a forced laughter before he spoke as seriously as he could: "I'm afraid that even Lucifer himself would not be able to defeat that entity, even if he had all of the Sins by his side."
"What the fuck are you on about, Stolas?" the boss imp asked, dubious and getting a little peeved. "That kid isn't God."
"No, Blitzø." the Ars Goetia Prince said, feeling like his blood turned cold at the final words. "That entity, that being that's residing within him... is much older than Heaven itself. I may have caught only a brief look of it, but I was able to know that it is as ancient as it is equally powerful."
Blitzø went silent for a moment.
The idea of a human kid having such an abnormal entity was completely absurd. Then again, Stolas never lied to him, so why would he now? And plus, the way that Stolas was brought down, no human — much less one so young — could EVER do that.
"What do we do then?" the boss imp questioned, despite still thinking that the scene of the human having such an entity was far-fetched.
Stolas took a minute to silently but carefully consider their problem.
"Here's what we CAN do, at least for the time being..." he began to share his idea. "You and the others look after him; And while you're at it, I shall research my tomes about the entity and others like it."
"Wait, hold the fuck up!" Blitzø indignantly spoke up. "Why me? Why not just send that kid back to Earth?"
The owl demon sighed before explaining further: "Have you not been listening to what I said, Blitzø? I told you that there's an ancient being residing within him. If he were to be returned to his home now as he is, even if it's somewhere safe, all it would take would be just the tiniest bit of torment upon him or imbalance in his temper, and the results would be - to say the least - explosive. Not to mention, that would all be traced back to us."
The tall imp gave out a big groan in frustration after hearing the Ars Goetia Prince.
"Fiiine. I'll babysit the kid." Blitzø answered, though still not fully understanding the situation, he figured it was better to just go with it. "But if he's staying here, then he'll have to work here like my employees."
"Just make sure-"
Blitzø quickly cut him off, guessing what he was going to say. "I know, I'll make sure that he won't get himself killed or do anything dangerous."
With their private chat done, the two of them walked back to the main room where the others were gathered.
They quickly noticed that despite the boy feeling a little uneasy, he looked much better than he was before. But, even then, Moxxie and Millie kept giving him some comfort.
Since Blitzø wasn't the type to like wholesome scenes (he actually did like them, he just wouldn't admit it unless it was in private), he decided to cut their moment short.
"Hey, kid." he called out, getting the attention of both the imp couple and of the young human. "Since Stolas has been in your head, I guess you already remember your name. Do you want to say it, or what?"
"I'm... Lincoln, sir." the boy replied, slightly bashfully. "Lincoln Loud."
"Ok, Lincoln Loud." Blitzø said, thinking that the 'Loud' name was weird but he chose to put a pin on that for later. "From now on, you are part of I.M.P. and, as much as I don't like to say this, you'll be working with us as an intern."
"Alright, sir." Lincoln responded, though not fully sure of his decision. "But what's I.M.P. all about?"
"We're all about ki-"
"We're all about... taking people to their destination, though it's a one-way ticket only." Moxxie spoke up, trying to be more subtle, as he put a hand on his boss' mouth to shut him up.
They had already seen the young human taking the news about him being in Hell like it was a daily theme. They weren't going to risk it with their profession, at least not by flat out saying it.
"You mean you're cab drivers?" the little mortal inquired, wanting to know if that was what he thought.
"Not exactly, Lincoln." stated Millie, choosing to be more specific, but still avoiding from putting it too bluntly. "Our job ain't focused on transportation. It's focused on using... weapons."
For a second, Lincoln stared at them with confused eyes. Why would they need to use weapons to take people to their destination?
Unless, of course...
It was...
Although it was controlled, he now felt fear creeping into his heart as it was also reflected in his gaze.
"Y-you kill people?" he was able to say.
"Didn't take him long to catch on." Loona quietly commented, though none commented back.
"Yes, but you don't need to be afraid." the firearms specialist let go of his employer and, while moving just a bit closer yet not getting too close, attempted to make sure that the boy wouldn't panic or do anything reckless. "We're not going to do anything to hurt you."
"Unless you give us trouble." Blitzø added his take on the statement.
"SIR/BLITZØ!" they all reprimanded the boss imp for leaving the young human feeling more uneasy.
"The poor thing's just barely recovered, and now you just made him feel worse." Millie told to her boss.
"Blitzø, remember what we just talked about." Stolas subtly said in a hushed tone.
The tall imp only groaned, but other than that he said nothing.
"Ignore our boss, Lincoln." Moxxie tried to soothe the little mortal's nerves. "He has a knack for..."
"Saying what ever comes to his mind without thinking about it?" the melee weapons expert of the company gave her own opinion.
"Giving just about anyone a headache?" the receptionist of I.M.P. voiced out.
Thinking for second, the opera-loving imp then concluded: "You know what? It's all of the above."
"Hey!" spoke up the boss imp, feeling aggrieved.
That made the folks of I.M.P. and the owl demon stare at him like if they were asking him if they were mistaken.
Blitzø simply lowered his head and grumbled: "Alright, it's true."
After hearing them out, Lincoln was calming down once more.
However, while that was happening, he could feel that something within him was forcing his mind and his soul to relax.
Could that be... it? That thing which Stolas had seen inside of him? Or was it something else going on? Whether it was one thing or the other he NEEDED to know.
"Mr. Stolas, although I don't have back all of my memories, I'm still glad that you helped me recover them, including my name." the Loud boy proclaimed with a grateful tone before swapping to one more on edge. "But I must ask... what was it that you've found lurking inside of me?"
The Ars Goetia Prince was conflicted. He was able to detect a gargantuan amount of power from the creature, yet somehow he could tell that wasn't its power in full.
But, apart from that, he barely had anything. Still, even if he had, he wasn't certain if he should disclose any of the details.
Before he knew it, he was already moving his beak to speak...
"Lincoln, before I tell you, I must warn you to do your best to steady your nerves." Stolas advised, letting the little mortal have a second to steel himself. "You really have another being living in you. It's not originated from Hell, and it's most certainly not from Heaven either. If I were to hazard a guess: I would say that it's from... the cosmic variety."
"You mean... i-it's from space?" Lincoln said with a stutter.
"In a manner of speaking, yes."
Right when the albino-haired boy heard the Ars Goetia Prince confirm that there actually was a creature residing within him, he was frightened. However, it was a fright that was tameable.
If he had the option to return to his home, he would turn it down, and the reason was because he feared when that thing would take possession of him. He would end up putting everyone there in harm's way.
Not to mention, the fact that that creature was from space didn't help his predicament.
"Please, Mr. Stolas, tell me that there's something you can do to help me." Lincoln implored to the owl demon.
"I'm afraid there's nothing I can do." Stolas answered with a heavy-hearted expression.
The Loud boy felt like he was going to faint. And he almost did, were it not for the distressed Millie and Moxxie, who immediately took him into their combined hug while doing what they could to help him feel better.
Loona, although she was successful, she was having difficulty in keeping her reserved face.
"Though, there's something else that I should inform you." Stolas spoke, causing Lincoln to force himself to listen closely. "Before I was fully out of your mind, I saw the creature shutting its eyes to slumber."
Now that made the Loud boy gain a little bit of hope: "Then, as long as it's asleep, I still have time."
"Indeed, Lincoln." the owl demon responded and included. "In the meantime, I shall verify my tomes back at my house to find a solution. As for you, you'll be left in the care of these imps."
Upon heeding those words, the melee weapons expert gave out a gasp and turned her gaze to Stolas.
"You mean I can take him as my son!?" she asked with stars in her eyes, her tail agitated with excitement.
"Easy, Millie." Moxxie attempted to settle down his wife's eagerness.
"I suppose if it's not too much trouble, you may." Stolas replied to her request.
With the answer given, Millie wasted no time to give Lincoln a big hug and a kiss on the cheek to demonstrate her newly attained motherly affection.
"I'll do my hardest to look after you, Lincoln!" she joyfully exclaimed. "I'll raise you like if you were my own impling."
Despite being surprised, the albino-haired boy was also flattered that the female imp selflessly volunteered herself to become his mom.
"Don't take this the wrong way, Millie, I'm thankful that you want to take me as your son." he told her. "But I already have a family of my own back on Earth."
"I suspected as much." the firearms specialist remarked. "This proves he's not an orphan, Millie."
Yet, the company's brawler didn't change her mind.
"Maybe so. But we're not on Earth right now." she countered and then addressed to the boy who was still in her arms. "So, in a way, you ARE an orphan."
As that whole scene was unfolding, Loona, Stolas and Blitzø watched it at just a short distance.
"So, this is what's going to be from now on?" the goth she-hellhound inquired to her adopted father.
"Yup, it is." was all the response he gave her.
'Despite young Lincoln's condition, I might be able to introduce him to my daughter.' the Ars Goetia Prince mused. 'Who knows? Maybe they'll get along well.'
Once she was finished with her little mother-son moment, Millie released Lincoln to let him have a break while she went to her employer.
"What do you say, Blitzø? Is it okay to close up shop early?" she asked, eager to bring the little mortal home with her.
Blitzø took a moment and looked at the clock hanged on a wall...
"If no clients appear in the next couple of hours, then sure." he said as a part of him was hoping that would be the case. "We'll have to call it a day."
"Well, in that case, I'll leave you to your business." Stolas spoke up and proceeded to exit the room.
However, he stopped in front of the door and turned to face I.M.P. once more...
"Oh I almost forgot: Blitzø, you and the others need to make sure that Lincoln's existence is kept in secret." he warned with a voice as serious as he could. "Otherwise, I fear that the ramifications for us all will be severe."
"And what about you? What's to stop you from telling to the other big wigs on us and make yourself look innocent?" the tall imp cynically questioned.
"My, Blitzy, do you really have so little faith in me?" Stolas lightly jested, going back to calling Blitzø by his nickname. "I have no desire to do such a thing. And furthermore, what would I gain from tossing you into the fire?"
Blitzø tried to think of a quick reply, but nothing came to him. Instead, he settled with that response: "Alright, you got me there."
In truth, Stolas was not expecting any sort of an answer. So, in a way, it was a rhetorical question.
"Now then, if there's nothing else to discuss, I'll be going now." he then opened the door and spoke to his favorite imp for the final time. "I'll be seeing you again soon, Blitzy.~"
With the Ars Goetia Prince now gone, I.M.P. took the time to have Lincoln to familiarize with their headquarters since he was going to be working there as an intern.
Shortly after, since there were no clients, the boss imp decided to close his workplace for that day.
-TIMESKIP-
Since the little mortal didn't have a demon disguise, they all recommended him to keep his hood on while hoping nobody would think of looking under it or at his hands.
Blitzø was willing to drop off his employees at the entrance of their apartment before heading home with his daughter, even if it was only for the sake of wanting the human to avoid exposure.
Once they were in the lobby they were confronted by their landlady who, upon seeing that there was another with the two imps, demanded to know what they were up to.
The imp couple told her they had found a wounded impling on the streets and decided to take him with them.
It took some persuasion, but eventually she consented. Still, she warned them that it was going to be more expensive due to the newest inclusion. Yet, she was willing to give them a small discount.
As soon as they got inside of the rented room, Millie didn't waste any time to procure through her belongings for a sleeping bag which she then gave to Lincoln.
Moxxie decided to let the boy have one of his pajamas until they could buy him one of his own.
When Lincoln tried it on, both he and the imp couple were surprised that the sleepwear was able to fit him like a glove. And although, it wasn't exactly Lincoln's color, he found it actually comfortable. Plus, that meant that when Millie had the time to go shopping for clothes she would just need to take the measurements of her husband. Of course, when it came down to footwear that would be a different story.
As of now, Lincoln was wearing Moxxie's borrowed sleepwear and enjoying a dinner prepared by the imp couple who made sure that it wasn't hazardous for their human son/friend.
"This is really good." he complimented the two imps. "How did you learn to make this?"
"My ma taught me." Millie proudly answered with happy memories from her home. "The way she cooked always made me and my siblings want more."
"And my Millie taught me." Moxxie responded next, accepting the young human's compliment. "It took some time to learn, but she was patient with me." he then turned his sights to his wife, tenderly. "Besides, my wife deserves to have a good husband."
The southern imp giggled: "Careful, MoxMox, we have someone else here with us.~"
Once they were all finished with their meal, the opera-loving imp took the plates and told to his wife and to his friend to let him wash the dishes.
Since they still had a little bit of time, they decided to spend it by watching tv.
However, due to Lincoln being a kid, they did some channel-surfing for any shows that were kid-friendly or not too violent at least. Obviously, being in Hell, it was easier said than done.
Fortunately, they were able to find a show that seemed to fit in that category.
The Amazing Digital Circus.
It was a show about humans who lost their identities and have been trapped in a virtual reality by an A.I. named Caine. Not only that, but Caine gave them new names.
Though the show had a few scary moments from time to time, it was nothing over the top. It was more focused on adventure, zaniness and humor. That was the reason why it was circus-themed.
The Loud boy had a good time watching the said show along with the imp couple. The latter two didn't expect to enjoy it too.
"One of these days, you two will have to show me what you like to watch." Lincoln told them, curious to know anything about the ones who took him in.
The assassin duo shared a nervous glance with each other.
Moxxie didn't want the boy to think he was a bore due to his likes; As for Millie, she hoped that her likes wouldn't give him nightmares.
"Maybe, not for a while." the firearms specialist replied. "We wouldn't want you to... be uncomfortable about what we like, Lincoln."
'Given my condition as of now, I doubt there's anything that can scare me just as bad.' the Loud boy pondered, unconvinced by the response.
He could've argued with the imp couple about it. Instead, he let it slide. They were all having a good time, so he thought there was no need to ruin it.
Shortly after, they decided to retire for the night and wish one another a good night's sleep.
"Good night, Lincoln." Millie said, after tucking the boy in the sleeping bag and planting a maternal kiss on his forehead.
"Good night you two." he answered back with a pleasant yet soft smile.
"Sleep well, Lincoln." Moxxie said in a friendly manner.
With that done, the imp couple left the young human and went to their bedroom.
And after closing their door, they instantly got under the bed sheets.
"You're really interested in Lincoln, huh?" Moxxie questioned his wife, putting an arm around her.
"Yes, I am, Mox." she gladly replied, scooting closer to her husband. "It might've been out of pity, but I believe I can do this. I can be a mom for him."
"Is that why you volunteered yourself?" he couldn't help but ask, curiosity in his head.
"That's right." she confirmed. "That's why I asked Stolas if I could take him. I only hope you and Lincoln become friends at least. But, if you too start to see him as your son, even better."
The opera-loving imp considered that possibility for a second...
"Well, Millie, what can I say? If it ever does happen, then it happens." he gave his opinion, though in secret he would've liked it.
With their small talk now over, the imp couple finally shut their eyes and went to slumber.
Back with the albino-haired boy...
He wondered what was reserved for his life in the Netherworld.
And granted, everyone at I.M.P. were still strangers to him, yet the fact that they were willing to help him out made him think that maybe he didn't need to be so suspicious of them.
As for the creature within him, he wished it could stay dormant for as long as possible. Or else, he feared what would happen to him.
Though for the time being, he would do his best to stay hopeful that things would work out.
With that in mind, Lincoln shut his eyes and went to catch some z's.
IN THE NEXT CHAPTER...
"M n' M, get in here! We're goin' to Loo Loo Land!" Blitzø called out to his employees in his office while using a megaphone.
Due to the boss imp's use of said item, the albino-haired boy had to cover his eardrums.
"Loo Loo Land?" Moxxie inquired as he opened the door and leaned in.
"Loo Loo Land?!" Millie startled Moxxie and Lincoln as she suddenly smashed her head through the office door's glass before exclaiming with enthusiasm and stars in her eyes.
"Loo Loo Land?" Lincoln asked next, curiosity taking place in his head while moving his hands only slightly away from his ears. "What's that?"
"Loo Loo Land!" Blitzø spoke again through his megaphone, causing the Loud boy to once more cover his ears.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Loona shouted from outside of the office in irritation.
"OOOOOH! We gotta do my favorite ride!" Millie eagerly said before picking up her husband and running to her mentioned ride.
"Oh, yeah? Wh- which one?" the opera-loving imp questioned with a jumpy face.
They saw a lone imp riding a roller coaster named "The Lawsuit" that suddenly plunged off a long drop at ridiculous speed while also in flames and with the said imp holding on as if his life depended on it. Which was a strong possibility, because the ride violently plunged into a tunnel in the ground.
Moxxie couldn't stop himself from uttering, horrified: "Oh, crumbs!"
Lincoln, for his part, only stared in silent terror at the roller coaster and then gave Moxxie a sympathetic expression.
"Trust me, kid. Once you've had a bit of f-f-fun with Fizzarolli - and that's-s-s-s yours truly - you won't be-be able to get enough of me." a robotic jester declared, glitching while talking, before wrapping his arms around the Loud boy.
Lincoln frowned at that statement: "You expect me to believe you after you provoked Blitzø AND tossed him up to the air?"
"Please, kid, Blitzo is nothing but a f-f-failure." scoffed Robo Fizz. "I, on the other ha-hand, am a true entertainer."
Lincoln embraced the teenage owl girl with as much tenderness as he could muster, allowing her to cry in his comfort and relax.
When she had no more tears to shed, she moved closer to him and began to smile while hugging him back.
"Things will get better, Octavia." he compassionately whispered. "It may take time, but things will get better."
After what she was forced to endure for a while, even at her home, she actually felt solace, warmth, safety, and above all else... happiness.
CHAPTER 02: Loo Loo Land (Is Burning Down)
Author's notes:
Not going to lie, it took me quite a while to carefully think of what I was going to write in this chapter. But I still want to believe that it was worth it.
Though it took me longer, whether you believe it or not, to imagine an opening scene if this fanfic. by some off chance became an adult cartoon or anime.
The reason I picked the main theme of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows was because I wanted it focused on the story and of course, on the harem protagonist. One which meant that Lincoln can give people hope just as easily as he can give despair.
I tried to find a few other musics, but I was always going back to that one soundtrack. It just seemed appropriate.
By the way, as you've read there, I decided to try and give a small teaser of what the next chapter is going to bring.
I even made the effort of making it, more or less, in the style that TellTale Games once did. For example, in season 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead, or Game of Thrones.
For those who are unfamiliar or don't remember, that means also that it's better you take it with a grain of salt. Some things may be changed, others remain as they are, or even completely removed.
I want think I did sort of okay. However, don't expect me to do it again.
Also, don't expect me to write with the same expertise like Epic-Writer0.1 with 'Hell Gets Loud' or TvFan2244 with 'A Loud Among Demons'.
That includes about me writing one chapter based on an episode, and then the other completely original, and so forth. But I'll still try to add a few original chapters, apart from the prologue and the first chapter.
In fact, I'll try to resist the temptation of copying anything from any of them out of respect.
Well, guess that's everything. I hope you liked this chapter. Until the next one.
