Back at the Martin home, the toys were all gathered in Braedey's bedroom with Naomi, and were looking through the channels to find the 'Al's Toy Barn' advertisement. So far, they haven't found it. Rex was gently stomping his foot against the channel button on the TV remote, trying to find it, to no avail.
"I can't find it!" Rex cried out, while still stomping his foot on the remote. "It doesn't seem to be on any of these stations."
"Keep looking." Buzz told him.
"You'll find it, Rex." Naomi comforted him.
"She's right, Rex." Woody added. "Just keep looking."
"Just take your time." Jennifer reassured him.
Hamm finally sighed out of exasperation. "Oh, you're going too slow." He suddenly pushed Rex out of the way. "Let me take the wheel." With that, he immediately began to push the button very quickly, and the channels flew by in colourful bright blurs.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Piggy bank, ease up on the accelerator, will ya!" Ken called out.
"It's too fast!" Rex told Hamm once seeing the passing channels. "How can you even tell what's on?"
"I can tell." Hamm replied back without looking.
"I can't keep up." Naomi immediately wiped her eyes. "Good thing I don't have epilepsy, or else this could be harmful for my eyes."
Just then, they heard a squawk from Al, but the channel quickly flew by. "Stop!! Wait-wait! Back, back, back!" Everyone yelled to Hamm.
"You missed it!" Jennifer added.
"Too late." Hamm immediately began to work through the channels. "I'm in the 40's. Got to go 'round the horn. It's faster."
Then, the channel they were looking for popped up on the TV screen. "Stop! Wait, wait! Wait-wait-wait! Stop it!" The others yelled to Hamm, as Buzz and Woody both stepped closer to the TV screen.
"And look for the giant chicken!" Al on the TV spoke out, as the map appeared on the screen.
"Now, Etch!" Naomi immediately told Etch, who drew up the map within a flash. "Nice work."
"Good job." Jennifer smiled.
Buzz walked up to the sketch pad, and pointed to the chicken. "That's where I need to go." He declared.
"What??" Ken and Jennifer asked aloud.
"Buzz, that's too dangerous. You might not make it there." Naomi said to Buzz, as he and Woody now drew down the map onto some paper.
"Braedimus Prime and Daphne Blake once risked their lives to save me." Buzz told the toys and Martin woman, and looked to them. "I couldn't call myself their friend, if I weren't willing to do the same. So, who's with me?" He announced.
"Well, if you're going, then we're going." Ken declared.
"Right." Jennifer nodded back.
"I'll try and help out if I can." Naomi then she had an idea. "What if... I head to Al's Toy Barn in the evening, and wait till morning until I find you, and we can head inside?"
"But, what if Al spots you? He knows you can get him into trouble, and he'll try something." Woody interjected to her.
"Easy, Woody. I'll find a way." Naomi smiled.
"I'm packing you an extra pair of shoes, and your angry eyes, just in case." Mrs. Potato Head gave her husband the parts, and closed up the hatch for him.
"Buzz. Take care of yourself and Woody out there. Braedey will be devastated if he saw you two were gone also." Naomi told the Space Ranger toy.
"I will, ma'am." Buzz nodded to her.
"Mr. Buzz Lightyear." The others looked down, and saw Rocky, and Robot, and they were gently pushing Wheezy up on a flatbed truck. "You and Woody just gotta save my pals, Prime and Blake." He coughed and wheezed out.
"We'll do our best, son." Buzz told him, his hands on his hips.
"Okay, fellas." Mr. Potato Head spoke up, then placed his moustache on. "Let's roll!"
Soon, the toys were now underway. Rex, Buzz, Hamm, Potato Head, Jennifer, Ken, and Slinky were up on the rooftop, walking to the edge of it, Buzz and Woody following up the rear.
Slinky walked up first, as Potato Head walked up next, grabbed Slinky's end, and jumped down safely to the ground, then lets go of his tail, sending it back up. Down on the ground was Mater and McQueen, who had both used the stairs safely, and were now waiting for the others to arrive. Next, Hamm grabbed Slinky's back end, and came down to the ground, and sent Slinky's tail back up. Ken and Jennifer both grab onto Slinky's tail when it came back up and they travel down to the ground safely before sending Slinky's tail back up to the roof.
"You'd think with all my video game experience, l'd be feeling more prepared." Rex commented, but as he reached out for Slinky's tail, he fell off the rooftop! But, he grabbed onto the tail, and bounced up and down four times, much to Slinky's annoyance and his discomfort.
"The idea..." Slinky groaned out to Rex. "...is to let go."
"We'll be back before Braedey gets home." Buzz declared to the others as he pushed the button on the side of his helmet, folding it closed over his head.
"Don't talk to any toy you don't know!" Mrs. Potato Head called out, as Bo, Wheezy, Rocky, and Robot waved to them.
"To Al's Toy Barn..." Buzz held up the Vulcan sign, then he and Woody held Slinky's back end when it came back up."...And Beyond!" With that, they jumped off the roof, and got on the ground safely.
Finally, Slinky grabbed his own tail end, and jumped down off the roof, only to be caught by Buzz and Woody. With everyone on the ground, they now begin their long trek off to Al's Toy Barn in the city.
At the same time, after locking up the house and making sure all was secured, as well as calling her husband James to say she'll be out late and he'll have to watch over the house and Jessie for the evening, Naomi is currently making her way into the city, driving her dark blue Dodge Neon, an inconspicuous vehicle that nobody would suspect. She pulled to a stop in a nearby alley, about a block away from the Toy Barn, and slept in the car for the night.
Meanwhile, over at Al's apartment, the Mystery, Inc. gang and the Autobot were showing off to both Braedimus Prime and Daphne Blake some movies to pass the time. They were watching the first two live-action Scooby-Doo films, the two newcomers both enjoying these since Braedey has both movies at home. At the moment, they had finished watching the first film, and were currently watching 'Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed', which was considered one of the best.
Sure enough, the movie had come to an end, and they were currently rolled the credits. Both Prime and Daphne were ecstatic and amazed at the film. "That was amazing!" Daphne cried out in amazement. But, to her confusion, the others look glum and disappointed.
"That was great. Let's see the next film." Braedimus suggested, only for Velma to turn off the TV with her foot. "Wait a minute. What happens to the gang?" He asked, standing up to look at the turned off TV.
Daphne looked back at them in confusion. "Come on! Why don't we start up and see the next movie?" She asked to them in confusion.
"There never was a third one." The Evil Masked Figure called out from on top of a shelf nearby, making the two look up at him.
"What was that?" Daphne asked in confusion.
"What do you mean?" Braedimus asked.
"They never made a third movie after that." The Evil Masked Figure replied with a saddened tone of voice, and he began to shuffle his box away from the ledge.
"Wait a second. What?!" Daphne ran up to the cabinet, but couldn't reach where the figure was. "What about the Monster Hive?" She asked him, then Braedimus helps her up to the ledge, and followed after her. "And all of the many monsters, or what about the Coolsonian Criminology Museum?" She questioned.
"That was a great movie!" Braedimus agreed as he climbed up. "Why didn't they make a second one?!"
"Simple: the directors and animators couldn't afford to create another one." Evil Masked Figure sighed. "All of those animators were focused about other movies plus prequels and sequels for other projects and cartoon films more than live-action. The two first live-action Scooby-Doo movies did gain a cult following over the years, but sadly, it wasn't enough for another film to be created." He sighed. "Plus, once the new things came up, children only wanted to play with space toys."
"That is sad. We know how that feels." Braedimus sighed, but perked up a bit. "But still, our own franchises!"
"I mean, look at all this stuff!" Daphne now gestured to the many memorabilia standing before her.
"Didn't you two know?" Velma asked, climbing up onto the cabinet, as the others walked up also. "You're both valuable property!"
"Man, I wish the others could see this." Daphne sighed, then saw her face carved into a yo-yo. "Oh! Hey, look at that. It's me. I'm on a yo-yo!" She laughed.
Braedimus stood in front of what could be a teeth knockout game. It had Megatron's face etched into it also. He held a blue ball in his hand. "Hey, Megatron. Nice set of teeth." He laughed, and he threw the ball at the top row of five teeth, taking out the second tooth. "And yet, still a crazy evil robot." He snickered, as the others laughed also.
Daphne walked up to an odd contraption that showed of Shaggy and Scooby, with Shaggy holding a coin. The Shaggy figure throws the coin as the Scooby figure catches the coin, and with the sound of Scooby's laugh going off, the coin lands inside of a bank nearby. "Oh! It's a piggy bank. That's interesting." She commented, and walked past it.
Braedimus then walked up to a Bumblebee figurine with his blasters out. "Okay. I don't understand what to do with this one. Do you... you push down on his head or something-" He pushed down on his head, and the blasters shot out bubbles. "Oh! And out come bubbles from the blaster. Funny." The others laughed out, as Scooby and Bumblebee played with the bubbles.
"Very amusing." Ratchet rolled his optics.
"Hey! What does this thing do?" Daphne walked up to what might be some kind of small Mystery Machine van toy, the van sitting on its nose with the rear doors pointing up at the moment. Daphne saw what might be a trigger on the side, and pushed her foot down on it. Suddenly, a small Scooby toy pops out of the back of the van, making her jump back in shock. Daphne looked down at her feet, and saw the toy dog sitting in front of her. She laughed to herself, as she picked up the little toy. "I get it. 'Scooby-Doo, where are you'." Daphne quoted one of her lines as she placed the little toy back into the van, just as Braedimus and Scooby walked up.
Braedimus then had an idea as he picked up the small van, and he looked to Scooby. "Hey, Scooby-Doo. Go long! Go long, boy!" He called to the Great Dane, who got excited and he ran forward. The Prime picked up the van, and he fired the small Scooby toy out, sending it flying over Scooby, who didn't catch it. "Whoo!"
Then, Scooby ran into what was a record player, and inadvertently pushed the 'play' button on the player. As he shook his head to regain his bearings, the sound of music began to play out on the music player, and both Braedimus and Daphne ran up, along with the others.
"No way. Is that a record player?" Daphne asked in surprise.
"I've not seen one of these in ages." Braedimus said as he looks on.
"Look at us all! We're a complete set!" Velma announced out loud, gesturing to herself and all the others around them, all of them now forming what was a pyramid.
"Now, it is off to the museum." The Evil Masked Figure added.
"Museum?!" Braedimus and Daphne asked in shock. They lose their concentration and everyone fell on top of one another in the process. As everyone got to their feet, Braedimus and Daphne now stood back away from them.
"What are you even talking about?" Daphne inquired.
"What museum?" Braedey also questioned.
"THE museum." Evil Masked Figure explained. "We are being sold to the Konishi Toy Museum over in Tokyo."
"That's in Japan!" Velma added in excitement.
"WHAT?!" Daphne screamed out in shock, much to the confusion of the others. "Japan??"
"I'm sorry, but l'm afraid we can't go to Japan." Braedimus told them.
Bulkhead chuckled. "What do you mean?" He asked.
"What are you talking about?" Arcee questioned.
"We need to go back home to our owner, Braedey." Daphne explained, and Braedimus held up his left foot to reveal Braedey's name written there. "See?"
Velma gasped. "They still have an owner."
"Oh, this changes things." Arcee muttered.
Velma now began to hyperventilate. "No. Can't go..." She then held her hands against her helm. "I CAN'T DO STORAGE AGAIN! I JUST CAN'T!" She then pounded the ground, screaming out. "I WON'T GO BACK IN THE DARK!!!"
"Whoa. What's wrong with her?" Daphne asked in shock. "What's the matter?"
"We all have been waiting in storage for a very long time, waiting for you two." Evil Masked Figure explained, as the others try and help Velma calm down, getting her back to her feet.
"What? Why us, specifically?" Braedimus asked.
"The museum is only interested in the collection if only you two are in it, Braedimus Prime" Evil Masked Figure replied in revelation. "And without either of you two, we all go back into storage. It is all that simple."
"That collector guy could've gotten any other Optimus Prime figure and that would've been enough." Braedimus now countered. "Why did it have to be me?"
"Because we're not like the other toys." Ratchet spoke up on the behalf of everyone.
"As you can see, compared to the official-licensed toys that can be bought, we're not the same. You could consider us as like prototypes with fully-transforming capabilities before the offical line." Bulkhead included.
"And the same can be said for the Mystery, Inc. gang." Arcee added in.
"It's not fair!" Velma yelled out, and glared coldly at the two. "HOW COULD YOU TWO DO THIS TO US?!" She snarled at them.
"Look, we're all very sorry, but there's been some kind of big mistake." Daphne interjected to them. "You see, earlier today, we were both in this yard sale-"
"Yard sale?" Ratchet echoed.
"Why were you both in a yard sale, if you have an owner?" Evil Masked Figure echoed in suspicion.
"We weren't supposed to be down there, for your information." Braedimus growled at him. "We were trying to rescue another toy from there-"
"Is it because she was damaged? Hmm?" Evil Masked Figure asked, now seeing Daphne's broken arm. "Did this Braedey break you?"
"No!" Daphne immediately held her broken arm. "That was an accident-"
"Sounds like he 'really' loves you." Velma mocked.
"It's not like that, okay?!" Daphne snarled. "You don't know him like we do! And no matter what you tell me, we are not getting to any museum!"
"Well, I'M not going back into storage!!!" Striker screamed out.
"Fine by me." Daphne snapped, just as the sound of a door opened outside the doors to the room, making everyone freeze, and look to the door.
That could only mean one thing...
