Snowflakes delicately fell down around Zelena as she strolled out of an ancient stone temple, so high in the mountains, the altitude made the air thin. The Dark One grimaced as she worked carving out a symbol in the ice, still holding the infant in her arm. The baby girl cried softly longing for her mother. The sound of it, took Snow's breath away.

"Right, where I left you" Zelena grinned.

Snow White's expression was pained and longing, powerless to act while her mind shrieked and clawed internally. On the outside she was stiff with a cold glare on her face, the only thing that kept her lucid was the thought of taking it all back, resetting her life.

"You can put her down now" Zelena instructed with a roll of her eyes.

Although she couldn't fight it, Snow's reluctance made her tense as she placed the baby in a woven basket on the ground. While Zelena dumped Regina's heart on the other side of the sigil, the sword and the brain were already in place.

"Where exactly are we?" Snow's eyes darted around at the stone columns coated in runes and spattered with blood.

"Don't worry" Zelena smiled observing the fear in Snow's eyes "No one will be able to find us"

Snow didn't say a word but her lip quivered at the thought of having to face Emma or David in this state, Zelena's smile only widened at the sight of her distress.

"You're making a mistake, this won't end well for you" Snow glared.

"Villains never win right, but then where does that leave you, Dark One?"

There was a calm now deep within Snow's heart finally letting go, the darkness soaked into her soul, her alley now against Zelena's control. There wasn't just hate in her eyes but a hunger, relishing in the thought of ending the witch's life.

"Are you going to kill me?" Zelana stepped closer holding the dagger firmly in her grip

"It won't change anything, only I will have the power to change the past"

"You can really do it, go back?" Snow's tone was eager, a rush of adrenaline coursing through her.

"I can, you choose the wrong side" Zelena sneered as the corner of her eyes twitched.

The cracks in Zelena's cold nature begin to show but there was no pity for her-not now,-not with darkness pulsing through Snow White. Before she could speak the wind shifted suddenly, snowflakes fluttered in all directions. Snow White's eyebrows raised, as she looked away towards the entrance, sensing a presence that caused her stomach to drop.

"What do you need me for?" Snow's voice came out in a rush hoping to distract Zelena.

"I don't need 'you', just the power of the dagger"

Zelena turned away furrowing her brow as the snowfall became heavier, she turned to the grand archway at the base of the temple. The white mist cleared away with a cloud of purple magic revealing Cora and Emma.

"Looks like they found us after all," Zelena's eyes narrowed.

The ice cold wind hit her like a knife sending pain throughout her body but Emma stood tall, her wrist still in Cora's grasp. Locking eyes with her mother she smiled a surge of confidence rose in her, upon releasing the plan had worked.

"Emma" Snow gasped, sorrow in her voice she shook her head.

"Hey, Mom" Emma waved a small smile gracing her face.

"Well, isn't this nice, mothers and daughters reunited" Zelena smiled, stepping forwards.

"Why don't you two catch up, probably got a lot to work through-we'll go" Emma suggested mockingly.

"You're not backing out now girl" Cora demanded, pulling Emma along as she stepped towards Zelena.

"Let go of me" Emma ripped her arm out of Cora's grip forcefully.

Scowling at Cora, who rolled her eyes in response walking right over to the sigil, Emma could see her surprise that Zelena had accomplished her task.

"Why don't you stop our intruders, Dark One" Zelana instructed.

Snow White stepped forward, her expression distraught as she raised her hand upwards, Emma felt a force against her chest, making it momentarily hard to breath. Before her feet left the ground, sending her crashing onto the stone floor.

"You can do better than that" Zelena chuckled.

Now winded Emma turned her head to see Cora beside her one the ground, before she disappeared, in a cloud of magic, reappearing beside Snow White in a blink.

"Holding back, are we?" Cora Mocked.

Snow's eyes on Emma as she slowly got up from the ground, but she remained still in deep despair ignoring Cora's teasing.

"Why did you bring Emma here?" Snow yelled her eyes narrowed on Cora.

"She asked me to, a hero just like you inspired her to be" Cora responded with a smirk.

The cold air took her breath away Emma was speechless upon seeing the devilish glee in Snow's eyes as she turned towards Cora vengeful.

"This whole time you've just been watching, waiting-to use Emma as a weapon"

"I've been very patient" Cora smirked with a glint in her eyes that hid more secrets.

Emma's eyes were wide with fear, but was somewhat relieved for the chatter it took up time and time was all she needed. Remaining still, her eyes scanned the surroundings but it was hard to see anything beyond the haze of crystal white snow, falling all around them.

"Why are you trying so hard to stop this? Zelena just wants to be with you?" Snow asked Cora, her eyes darted back on Emma.

"You're still so naïve," Cora laughed "If Zelena completes her task you will never have existed"

"What does abandoning your daughter have to do with me?" Snow asked curiously.

"Our family's paths crossed before you were born. Your 'mother' exposed me, leaving me with no choice but to abandon Zelena, but I got my revenge" Cora smirked, locking eyes with Snow as the realisation set in.

"You killed my mother, you manipulated everything" Snow croaked out.

Emma watched horrified as her mothers arm reached out flinging Cora against the stone columns, her bones snapping on impact. Cora rose from the ground Quicker than Emma imagined she would, her hands out like claws, she sent a wave of energy towards Snow.

"Don't just stand there!" Cora snarled glaring at Emma.

Even now Cora was plotting, this was all a diversion so Emma could take on Zelena without interruption. Fists clenched she stepped forward welcoming the power as pulsed through her body, warming her up.

"We don't have to fight Emma," Zelena greeted her with a smile as she approached "After all, we have so much in common"

Emma slowed her approach watching Zelena closely for a sign she would attack, but she remained still composed and confident. The saviour's hands were in constant movement, fingers twitching as her magic surged, sparks flying out of her hands.

"Give me the dagger," Emma demanded firmly.

Zelena just laughed in response before leaning in close, her hand hovered over the locket strung around Emma's neck but she did not dare touch it. Snow White turned her head distracted; she didn't dodge Cora's vines and became momentarily grappled.

"Is that what you really want?" Zelena locked eyes with Emma grinning.

"I want to go home, I want-" Emma's voice broke, she just wanted her Mom back and as she tried to say the words aloud, she realised that was no longer an option.

"To change your fate?" Zelena asked with a smirk.

Emma hesitated in responding confused; the spell was ready and with dagger in hand Zelena had already won, but she was hesitating, toying with Emma.

"What do you know?" Emma paused, frowning "about my fate?"

"Saviours die, your parents sealed your fate before you were even born" Zelena stated like a fact.

Emma was wordless, her fist clenched but there was no light surrounding her, bursting with energy, with nothing to light the fuse.

"They gave me my best chance" Emma's words faltered.

"You really believe that, your mother abandoned you just like mine" she mocked, finding pleasure in this fact.

"I get it, you've been your whole life, so have I- but changing your past, it won't fix anything-you need to move forward" Emma reached out her hand, hoping the witch would take it.

"Don't worry Emma, you won't be alone anymore" Zelena paused watching Emma response closely "I'm going to make sure, you are never even born"

Zelena grabbed Emma's shirt pulling her closer and holding the dagger to her throat. Out of the corner of her eye Emma could see balls of fire and arrows flying across the courtyard, as Cora and her mother fought.

"You think this will make you happy, it won't" Emma's anger broke though she yelled out.

"You're out of your league, little girl" Zelena mocked, a chaotic giggle escaped her lips.

Closing her eyes Emma focused on her heartbeat while the blade began to slice the side of her neck, but it all faded away. With each steady beat of her heart, Killians face was at the forefront of her mind, those jaded blue eyes that loved her so. Her muscles untensed, she could feel her power not a sharp uncontrollable electricity, but a warmth, something with direction and purpose, unclenching her hands she let it wash over her.

Suddenly the pain stopped and her wound healed, even as the blade skimmed her skin. Opening her eyes Emma glared into her opponents, before Zelena screamed out in agony falling to the ground, her skin sizzling.

"You're magic can't hurt me anymore, if you could, you wouldn't have resorted to using the dagger"

"No, no "A fearful expression returned to Zelena's face, while Emma stepped closer to her aura, now a visible white glow, that repealed Zelena.

"It's over" Emma stated firmly, holding her hands out ready to strike.

Zelena clenched the dagger with a smirk, forcing Snow White to appear in front of Emma, blocking her path.

"Stop her Dark One, kill Emma!" Zelena commanded her voice raspy as she clenched the dagger.

"No" Snow wailed in agony.

Cora came over but was quickly shoved back down again by Zelena's magic, she screamed out sending a curse towards her daughter. Zelena deflected this while running over to the sigil and enacting the spell.

"You know, you never were anything more to me" Cora paused frustrated "then a problem I had to solve"

"But I'm stronger than you; or Regina ever will be, I'm about to do the impossible" Zelena looked towards Cora expectantly, as if she was about to receive a pat on the back from her mother for a job well done.

"That's where you're wrong, they'll stop you, they always do" Cora shrugged smugly.

Zelana looked up bewildered as Cora laughed, her mother's dress now torn, and hair dishevelled from her fight.

Emma's eyes were still on the dagger, the conversation between Zelana and Cora distant to her. Snow White's whole body visibly shook, her jaw clenched she reached out taking Emma's arm firmly leading her away.

"Run please, i-if you don't, I'll-" Snow's hand gripped tighter on Emma's arm uncontrollably, while she heaved fighting against herself.

"It's ok "Emma tried to sound reassuring, but he voice faltered "We just need a little more time, everyone will be here soon"

Recognition washed over Snow White's face only leading to further frustration, realising that her daughter was here putting herself in peril as a diversion.

"Emma?!" Snows tone changed disapproving and desperate she locked eyes "You listen to me"

Like a chained-up dog fighting its restraints Snow White's whole body tensed, overwhelmed in her suffering until it became something else, a desperation.

"I won't hurt you" Emma replied, making no effort to free herself from her mothers grip.

"Please" tears streamed down Snow's cheeks "I can't stop myself"

"I know,"

"You're so stubborn"

"I wonder where I get that from"

She gave Emma a disapproving look as one last attempt to get her to listen but Emma wasn't going to budge.

"I just have to get to the dagger" Emma assured with a sympathetic smile.

"No" Snow gasped as her body convulsed, she could barely remain standing.

The sound was excruciating, but she wasn't pleading with Emma anymore, but to herself or the heavens for help, anything to stop what was about to happen. Snow White left hand bald up as if she was squeezing a rubber ball, Emma gasped falling to the ground.

Suddenly over the sound of the gusting winds, a call rang out across the courtyard, it was Killian and Emma's signal, their bird call. Upon hearing this Emma was able to break free of the curse on her, the magical shield bursting outward, she ran hiding behind a stone pillar.

"Cutting it close" Emma breathed a sigh of relief locking eyes with Killian.

All around they emerged from the misty snowfall swords and fireballs ready to fight and turning the tide on this battle. Killian ran straight to Emma but she shook her head, pleading with him with her eyes, to do what she asked. At the centre of all this chaos Cora stood by Zelena watching this all unfold.

"I told you, they'd come," Cora smirked at Zelana.

"It's too late," Zelena retorted enraged.

Funnelling the magic from the four objects a whirlpool began to form in an array of colours spinning around faster and faster flowing up into the sky, like a beacon. From top of the temple flying monkeys descended down onto them sending everyone running in all directions.

Regina's eyes narrowed as she ran towards Cora and Zelana while they continued to bicker and pushed them both to the ground with a wave of magic. Cora got back up quickly, she couldn't help but smile as Regina approached, relief on her face. Upon seeing this exchange Zelena breathed in deep, her nostrils flared.

"Why do you hate me so much?" Zelena barked, growling as she picked herself up from the ground.

"Oh, that's where you are wrong, this was neve about you" Cora replied with a scoff.

"Then what?" Zelana stood before her completely bewildered.

Cora didn't give a verbal answer simply turning her head towards Regina, she smiled lovingly at her estranged daughter.

"What, her?" Zelana spat disgustedly.

"I can't lose you Regina," Cora admitted with a sigh.

"You were trying to save me," Regina frowned, confused.

"You don't trust me, that's my fault" Cora said calmly as she stepped closer to Regina.

"It's too late for apologies" Regina dismissed her turning to Zelena "But maybe not for us"

"Is that what you think we can be sisters" Zelana stepped closer her forehead inches away from Regina's "I plan on being an only child"

The certainty they all had moments ago faltered under the belting winds at the top of the mountain, before she could find her bearings Mulan was lifted from the ground claws in her back.

"No" Elsa cried out blasting icicles into the sky but it was too fast.

"Wait you might hit her; I've got this" Killian instructed; his voice hoarse.

Killian leaped forward, climbing up a crumbling stone column to a small ledge where he awaited the right moment before making another leap into the air. His sword just slicing the creature's arm, it squealed out in agony before letting go and flying away. Landing on his feet he helped Mulan up from the ground.

"I got this; you go Killian" Mulan insisted, gesturing her head to the portal.

Mulan continued to swing at the beasts trying to stop any from getting past her with the help of Red, her jaws clasping onto another beast leg. Killian hesitated looking around as Elsa made her way over to Zelena, then his eyes searched for Emma but he could no longer see her in the storm.

"They're trying to stop us from getting to the portal" Mulan called out to Killian.

Killian nodded at his friend, running headlong towards the bright beacon, he could feel its pull sucking him in.

"Not today" Killian yelled, taking care with each step closer to the opening.

His eyes on Regina's heart now just inches away, but paused upon hearing the cries of a baby through the storm. It lay on the ground swaddled up in a blanket he gawked horrified, before reaching down and taking the baby into his arms.

"Get away from there" Zelena yelled.

The witch surged forwards ready to strike but was blasted back with ice from Elsa's hands, the snow began to swirl forming a whirlpool with a clear eye in the middle. It got bigger and bigger until the white haze cleared away revealing everyone. Elsa smiled as she held the blizzard at bay with ease.

"You, h-how did you wake?" Zelena's voice shook.

"True love's kiss," Elsa answered.

Forcing two small columns of ice out from the ground enclosing both of Zelana's hands pulling her down to her knees and placing the cuff on her wrist. Neutralizing the witch in less then a minute, she placed her hands on her hips proud.

"That was for the sleeping curse" Elsa stated firmly.

Walking up his body, tense anger rising, he knew this fight was far from over and placed the baby in Elsa's arms as his hatred spurred on something dark and twisted inside him.

"You better pray, Emma is ok" Killian yelled.

"I haven't done anything to her, it's her mother that's about to end her life" Zelena's vindictive smile remained, even while restrained.

"What-where's the dagger?" Killian gasped looking around, his eyes locked onto Regina.

"I don't know?" Regina's face went pale.

Zelana didn't answer smiling wide, as she looked at the despair in Killians eyes all she did was laugh, he raised his hook about to strike. While Zelana was trapped with no magic, helpless he moved closer, his eyes filled with venomous hatred.

"No, what are you doing?" Elsa's voice wavered.

"I can't lose Emma, if Zelana dies, whatever she commanded the Dark One to do, dies with her" Killian didn't even pause to think it through his arm swung forward.

"You will lose yourself, if you give into the darkness," Regina's tone firm she grabbed hold of his hand giving him a knowing look, "Leave it with me".
