Hermione was shaking him awake. "Oh come on! You have a date coming over you need to prepare." He could hear the excitement in her voice. Daphne never gave an exact time that she was coming over and that could only mean Hermione was waking him up even earlier than necessary.

Though as he told Croookshanks the night before, his life had bossy women in it. His feet were already on the ground before his eyes were even open. "Er. Hermione let me wake up." He tried to say but was interrupted by a large yawn. It was only when she eventually got him into the shower that he fully woke up. "I can shower by myself, Hermione."

"I wasn't going to stay." Hermione harrumphed. "Though it would be more flattering if you tried to get me to stay."

Harry, aided by his tiredness, gave Hermione a deadpan look. "Eleven." Is all he said before he started to shoo Hermione out. To her credit she did leave easily with a smile on her face. But as the door closed he could hear her call out to the house elves.

He sighed again and moved to turn the water on hot, before disrobing. Hermione came back after he was there for thirty minutes but never came in fully. She left him clothes right inside the door. One of his new muggle shirts, a dress shirt and some trousers she even grabbed his undergarments and socks too.

When he finally left the bathroom steam billowing out behind him he saw Hermione sitting on their bed, eating a bowl of something while looking at him she nodded as she spotted him. She was in the middle of a bite but was nodding in approval as he spread his arms and gave her a twirl to show her what she picked out for him.

"Good." She finally spoke up after she swallowed her food. "Impressive and a touch of casual" She gave her thoughts to him.

"Wouldn't I want to actually wear casual things though? She's going to be seeing me a lot and my idea of casual is a bit different." Harry practically complained. "What did you get the house elves to do?" He asked moving right onto the bigger situation.

"You two are going to be doing lots of talking, and sitting awkwardly. I've instructed them to get some more tea, make some more snacks than normal. She is rich and probably is used to a lot of different things, aslo I have on good authority she is a sucker for cheesecake." Hermione explained as she handed Harry her bowl which still had a little bit of food and at further inspection she was eating cold oats and fruits.

He started to eat it as she stood up. "Be." She paused and thought about what she was going to say. "Be you actually, and it will go well. I will show up shortly after Lunch to make sure you haven't done anything too bad." Harry rolled his eyes at that.

She was pacing a bit so Harry put down the bowl that was Hermione's and pulled her into a hug. "You saved your friend Hermione. I won't mess it up now. I promise." She just nodded into his chest, as he could feel her relax a bit more.

But then what felt like a jolt of electricity ran down his spine and he knew someone was in his home, Daphne is here now. The fact that Hermione stepped back quickly smiling at him made him think that she also had the same warning. Probably due to the magic that made her his wife in the eyes of the goblin nation. "I'll see you later and I'll play nice, and be nice." Harry promised as she took a few more steps back.

"You will and you will tell me everything." She smiled but then disappeared as he headed down quickly but not in a run to find and meet Daphne.

She was found examining the old but well decorated meeting room that held the floo fireplace. She was wearing well fitted black trousers and a light blue blouse, accenting her eyes or at least to Harry they seemed to pop out more.

"Sorry I wasn't here to greet you Daphne." Harry said from the door smiling, not sure if he should go and give her a handshake or kiss her knuckles again.

Daphne looked away from one of the normal paintings that Harry never really noticed. Some kind of old ship in a bad looking storm. Though Daphne looked him up and down and smirked. "Did she dress you?"

Harry couldn't help but to blush and smile. "Youre very inquisitive. Yes this is not exactly how I would dress. How do you like it?" He asked her, moving closer to her, really not too sure how to handle this at all.

"Like." She did pause and actually look at Harry but the tension was broken by Harry's stomach growling a bit loudly. The problem with drinking those nutrition potions Willy made was that he was hungry a lot. And the last bites of Hermione's bowl was not enough. "Like youre a growing boy who needs food."

Harry was smiling more out of embarrassment now than anything else. "May I show you to the dining room?" Harry extended his hand out, in hopes to hold her hand.

"Please, I only had a small breakfast and I think my stomach might mimik yours soon." She said, accepting his hand after she looked at it for a bit. She seemed not to be very trusting, but at the same time well… She seemed to be thrown into a different situation than she expected.

They held hands very carefully, even though a boy his hand was still bigger than hers and thanks to the food and potions he was growing. They walked slowly so she can look around at the portraits as they passed through the main hallway. "So have you heard anything from the Malfoys?" Daphne broke the silence.

Harry was expecting many things from this day but that topic was like someone 'en passanting' a brand new person in chess. Which did happen to him when Ron tried to teach him many years ago. "Erm. No." He looked over at Daphne quizically. "Have they done anything of note?"

She gave a sigh. "Sadly with their attention on me and my father recently everything they did was of note. But they are furious at you, and they don't even know who you are." She said that smiling. "The Goblins have told them and us that the funds are in transfer but the debt has been paid enfold. And my father very happily sent them a letter stating that they will no longer do any business with them due to a new contract that we signed." Daphne took a deep breath and smiled. Which was a very rare view to behold.

"We are on the path back to our house being respected thanks to you." It took her a moment but she did squeeze his hand as she gave him another smile. At this point they reached the dining room and they were met by Betsy, who was wearing a very pristine potter uniform like the one He first saw them wearing when they showed up. She curtsied.

"We have prepared a traditional English breakfast as well as some crepes if you wish to eat something more sweet." She said in a very formal tone and Harry noticed no extra s's or syllables to her words.

Harry sighed. "Betsy, this is Daphne Greengrass, my girlfriend." He did stumble over her title but recovered. "Betsy, this is one of three of my house elves. Please treat them kindly and with respect and Betsy, why did you go over the top with this?"

"Herm-mione" She said the name slowly. "Explained that today is important and asked us to treat you two very nicely and to have lots of food options."

"Very bossy isn't she?" Daphne asked but shocked Harry as she kneeled down to be on eye level. "It's nice to meet you Betsy, I'll eventually be living here in the future so I hope you and I can become friends." This also caused Betsy to become speechless and blushed and popped away.

Daphne stood back up and scoweled at Harry. "What? Just because my family is neutral do we have to treat other magical beings as lesser? That we have to treat House elves who need magic to live like dirt?" She asked defensively.

This made Harry smile, and moved toward the table and pulled out a chair for Daphne as he tried to collect his thoughts and what to say. He moved over to the other side of the dining table and sat down as Daphne still was left standing. "To be honest I have probably the wrong opinion of you and your family's stance. Though let's call that my lack of knowledge on political situations due to my growing up."

Daphne ended up sitting down and first called out to Betsy. "Betsy, can I have a strong tea, and an English breakfast? TThank you." She said as she took the napkin that was beside her silverware and placed it over her legs to make sure nothing spills on them. Shortly after she asked, a tea cup with two little dishes, most likely cream and sugar. Followed by a bigger plate of a traditional English Breakfast.

She breathed in deeply through her nose and then smiled. She put two teaspoons of sugar in her tea and stird before she finally talked back to Harry. "Comment va ta famille?" Daphne asked in french. She frowned at Harry's dumbfounded look.

"My French is almost nothing but I can identify the language. Something about my family?" He asked her as he then asked for exactly what Daphne got for food.

"My father said you have been gone from Magical Britain, no one knew of you or who was taking care of you. Even the author who made those stupid books about you said it was all made up too. So he thought you were in France or America."

Harry couldn't help but to chuckle. "You could just ask where I have been." Harry said then took a bite of his eggs.

"Would you tell me? I'm practically a stranger to you." Daphne said back as she started to eat aswell.

"I'll tell you most of it. There are a few things that we need to be closer for me to tell you." Daphne nodded at this.

"Where have you been for the past ten to eleven years?" She asked as she tried to keep eye contact with Harry.

"I've been in Britain for all my life. I was given to my aunt and uncle on my mothers side. Muggles." Harry said. "My aunt wasn't the worst. She actually became better the longer I knew her but my Uncle hated anything Magical including myself." Harry sighed as he decided to skip the worst of it. "But eventually I was able to get away from them. I found myself in the magical world and the goblins were just so kind to show me what I owned."

At that Daphne let out a small snort. "Probably happy to be able to charge you fully for all the taxes and fees again."

Harry shrugged but smiled at that. "Regardless of intentions they were the ones that allowed me to get away from my previous life, at the same time they are the ones that ultimately allowed me to help you." He let that line drop as he ate some more waiting for a response.

It didn't come for a little while. "Ill have to thank them the next time I'm at the bank then."

Smiling, "You're definitely not who I thought you would be." Harry said, looking across at her.

"That's the second time you said that, what were your expectations of me Harry?" Daphne asked not defensivly but quizically.

Now it was Harry's turn not to answer right away. After a few more bites, he finally answered. "It was described that you were stone faced, little to no emotions, and cared little for others." Harry paused, and thought a little more. "Smart though, smart enough to be a ravenclaw."

Daphne seemed to appreciat that."Is that where you think you and Hermione will be sorted into?"

"It came up, she definitally can. It would be harder for me but I can pull my weight academically." Harry defended himself. But he smiled and thought more about it. "We have talked about it before, I think we are between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor."

"Do you expect me to follow you two?" Daphne asked, her tone still pleasant but Harry has been in enough traps to figure out when he's about to walk into one.

With a chuckle. "Goodness no. It would make our situation easier but if you want to follow your families house, or go into Hufflepuff or any house you can. If you feel like you should follow me or Hermione into a certain house you can."

She smiled slightly at that but didn't respond right away. It wasn't until both were about half done with their food. "I'm not going into Slytherin." She said quietly.

"Well then, with the threats that will sure come from that house i'm happy to hear." Harry paused and thought abit on how to say the next part. "Will you follow us?" Simple approach apparently.

"One might mistake your tone of voice as hope instead of an invitation Po- Harry." Her manners almost caught up to her.

"Who's not to say it's both?" She smiled and nodded at his response but didn't respond to that.

Instead she started to probe him for likes and dislikes. Asking questions such as "Who's your favorite team?" and more abstract questions like, "If you could have a dragon as a pet, which one would it be?" Harry didn't mind the questions and some of them did make him think but he realized them for what they are. She is trying to bridge the gap by finding things out about him. And he obliged to do it but he also shot some questions back at her, not the exact same ones but similar.

"What classes are you looking forward to?" And "Once done with school, if you could go to any country what would you pick?" Simple and silly questions really. But they helped fill in pictures of the other.

Before they knew it their conversation had led them out of breakfast and around at first Daphne wanted to see the outsidethough upon seeing how huge it was they just walked around the outside of the building. Both making ideas of how to explore the rest later.

Through conversation Harry found out that Daphne is a bit of a Quiditch enthusiast, though no desire to play as she can fly but not fast as she's worried about the height plus spead. Not one or the other but both. Harry kind of understood but told him he loved to fly.

"It's one of the few places I feel at peace. Wind blowing through my hair, the scenery is mostly breathtaking in the right places." Though this got a confused look from Daphne but she didn't push it.

Harry continued to show her around the mansion but they got stopped at the potions room where they found Willy brewing some potions, Harry started to think that the Elf just loved to brew as well.

"Wow, this is fantastic!" Daphne said actually going into the room making Harry follow. This is the first room that she actually wanted to go into, well despite the library.

"Really?" Harry asked, looking around the room. He knew it was better, widened, spacious, lit with windows and well circulated at least he could smell that part. Didn't smell like the dungeons of Hogwarts where he was used to brewing potions.

"Morgana, yes." Daphne responded as she moved over to Willy and started to watch what he was doing. "You're standing in the light are you not? Do you feel the heat?" She asked Harry.

He was about to respond that of course he does but it got stopped in his throat. He brought up a hand and held it in a beam of light. "No I don't." He said quietly.

"And do you smell anything? Feel any breeze?"
This time Harry didn't try to respond right away. Instead he kept his hand extended trying to feel if he can feel anything but couldn't and yet he took a deep breath and it smelt like stone but that's about it. "I don't smell anything but the stone, and I don't feel any breeze." Harry stated fully realizing that she really was looking forward to the potion classes.

"The charms and runes on this room must be fantastic, a lot of things can mess up a potions brewing process. Starting with the ingredients and how you cut, crush, or squeez to how you clean your cauldron, and then to the heat of your brew or if more water gets into your brew even if you stir it wrong. Such as a strong breeze possibly pushing your ladle a half turn the wrong way." Daphne stated as they watched Willy stirred his potion mix two times clockwise while he nodded to what Daphne was saying.

"You are correct Miss Greengrass." Willy said to her. "This room has a lot of charms and runes, such as the windows absorbing all heat but not light. The door stops all air from passing, on top of that on each wall, ceiling and floor are air purifying runes so as not to create a breeze to mess up any brews or ingredients.

Daphne started to converse with Willy by asking what he was brewing and the processes. Harry had seen this with Hermione before and didn't want to interrupt them. He leaned against the counter behind them and watched as Willy explained from the beginning what he did and Daphne was listening, intently.

It was about thirty minutes later that Daphne looked around and saw Harry reading a book on the counter. "Harry?" He looked up from his book that he asked Meany to grab for him quickly.

"Daphne?" He asked, smiling, "are you done?" He tried his best to keep his voice neutral, and give her a smile.

She blushed a bit, "Sorry it's a very big hobby of mine."

"Never appologize for being yourself. Did you find out what you wanted with going over it all with Willy?"

"Not quiet but I can always come by another time and ask him a couple more questions. You know he's probably a potions master?" She asked him. Both Harry and Daphne looked over at the small elf who was already working at another cauldron now just waiting for the one Daphne was asking over to finish.

"Honestly, I'm not to suprised to find that out. I'm more surprised to know that he didn't tell me that himself." Harry said, still looking at the elf.

But Daphne just shrugged. "Sadly no institute will give an elf that title. But what he does and how he does everything reminds me of some interviews some masters have given. I'm sorry for derailing our walk."

Harry laughed a bit at that. "Honestly I thought our walk was pretty awkward now we have something to talk about."

"Oh, and what's that?" Daphne asked as she straightened her blouse, as they prepared to walk on. She didn't care about the mansion. Most old family homes are the same when you get down to it. Some just focused on other aspects than others. And to her it seemed like the Potters focused on battle and warfare than much else.

The training room that Potter… Harry tried to show her, it was interesting but didn't speak to her, the gardens were vast but too vast for them to go through, and she was certain she spotted some green houses and pens of some kind in one of the corners of the gardens. But Harry didn't point them out so it's either he didn't know or they were just not something he cared to show her. The library was amazing but she hesitated to go touching books, her family was careful when it came to knowledge and she expected the Potters to be aswell.

The ballrooms and tea rooms were spectacular but she has seen bigger and better with the families that focus on that sort of thing. But that potions room, it was masterful. Art almost, to her at least.

"Are you looking to become an apothecary then?" Harry asked, pulling her back to the present and away from the room. "Or are you thinking of being a professor? Maybe teach potions one day?" Harry asked. Looking at her as they moved back up stairs more than likely to use one of the tea rooms.

The question didn't actually throw her off either but she paused to think of how to respond to this, Harry may not be a normal nobel but she was still expected to marry him later. "As those options are nice to think about, I'm going to be a lady. I'll probably pick up a low level miniestry job or even a higher one if I can play my cards right. Like Lady Bones is our Magical law Enforcment director."

Harry didn't exactly say anything but did "Hmmm." Like he was thinking about the answer. "If that's what you want, but I think you would fit more in if you were creating potions or experimenting on new ones."

Daphne started to deflect more of the questions over tea but was able to get more out of Harry.

"I at first thought I'd be an Auror. Fight the people that killed my parents kind of way. But I'm starting to think teaching at Hogwarts might be the better way. Shape the minds of the young so situations like eleven plus years ago won't happen again." Harry explained as he was sipping on some tea.

He couldn't tell but that actually confused Daphne. To her Harry could have enough political clout to be Minister of Magic for a long time to come. Once he got older that is. But She just smiled, "I think it's wonderful you are thinking both of the future and of ways to honor the fallen Harry." She paused to think about it.

"But wouldn't when you grow into your title being in the ministry be better suited for you? You are part of the nobility, it would be better for your station."

Harry couldn't help but blow raspberries at that statement. "I'm sorry but I've been 'Nobility' all my life." Using air quotes around nobility. "It never changed me and I'm not going to change for it. I'll do what I want with my life."

Daphne didn't actually have anything to say to that. But Harry dutifully pushed the conversations ahead. "I'm not going to give anything up, but unless things change seriously in the ministry I think I will be able to be more impactful out of it, teaching maybe oneday leading hogwarts." This Daphne understood more but thought it was backwards.

Dumbledor only has power because he was able to defeat dark lord Grindawald not be headmaster of the school but she has seven plus years to direct and push Harry onto a better path for his desires. Daphne accepted his ideas for now and guided the conversations to other topics.

Sadly though He didn't have any friends other than Hermione, his hobbies are just flying like she said. And the only things he has done for fun lately is train in that room, and hang out with Hermione. Both were very happy to hear the ring of a bell, Harry sensing Hermione coming back to the mansion and Daphne guessing someone came back.

Though shortly they were pushed out of the tea room and to the small dining room, to Harry's confusion as. "Those chairs were more comfortable, couldn't we eat in there."

Coming into the dining room with Meany besides her was Hermione. "I see a morning with you still hasn't fixed his manners." She was wearing jeans, and a loose light blue blouse

"Both our manners have been bad this morning but allas I don't think anything can fix his." Daphne responded but then looked slightly shocked that she said that.

Hermione chuckled and Harry didn't retort as he felt the atmosphere of the meeting ease a bit. "I'm sorry I came earlier but a little bird told me you both needed some help." Harry looked confused but Daphne gave a small nod toward Meany in thanks.

"Maybe one on one's were not the best idea to start with, but it wasn't unpleasant, just weird." Daphne explained.

"You did derail the tuor with staying in the potions lab for thirty minutes with Willy." Harry did offer which got a glare from Daphne but Hermione only giggled at that and sat across from Daphne and next to Harry.

"A potion master in the works are you?" Hermione said smiling. Harry looked like he was about to say something but was cut off by Daphne.

"I'm not gonna go over this again. It's fun to think about but I doubt i'll go down that path. My sister will run the family business and as Lady I should go into the ministry."

"Oh? What minister are you looking at getting. I have hopes of becoming Minister of Magic one day." Harry stayed silent but smiled as Hermione pushed her way into the conversation and spotlight. And Daphne looked at her weirdly but engaged in the conversation.

The conversation for the most part continued smoothly now that Hermione was there, by no means was Harry left out he just let Hermione control the flow and direction of it as he was struggling earlier. For the duration of lunch they stayed on jobs and possibilities they have thought of or dreamed of. Hermione wants to write books or be featured in 'Hogwarts, a history.' book she so dearly loved. Harry either plays quidditch or teaching, and Daphne. After a lot of poking and prodding talked about her desire to make new potions.

After lunch they moved to an area outside to enjoy the sunny day. That's where Hermione brought up family and talked about her parents to Daphne, and Daphne talked about her parents, sister, and the fact that their parents are expecting another child soon too.

Though once Daphne realized Harry couldn't really be in this conversation abruptly changed it to interesting books she read.

Which ultimately pulled them away from outside and into the library where Harry showed them his to read pile, that was mostly homework from his grandfather's portrait but he didn't tell her that. And due to that not telling, she gave five more titles for him to read and she noticed they were all political in nature and to his dismay as she listed them, they appeared on the pile due to one of the house elves for sure. He slumped at the new bigger to read pile. Hermione was going over to show her to read-pile which was smaller but that was due to her reading alot of the books that could be found in Hogwarts already.

Daphne actually committed them to memory to add to her to-read list aswell. Which to Harry's dismay made them tell him that he will have to read those aswell.

Daphne only stayed for a couple more hours with them relaxing and talking in the library really about nothing at all at that point. So when Betsy came in offering afternoon tea Daphne took that point in excusing herself.

"Thank you for having me over, Harry. And thank you for coming to help Hermione. It was all good but it got better after you showed up. Next time I think ill see if we all can start together so it's not so awkward or no one needs to come and save us." Daphne said with a smile on her face.

"Just send a message but honestly any time should be alright." Harry said to her.

"And I don't mind saving anyone, though with you puting it as 'Saving' I really need to have a serious conversation with Harry here." Hermione said, giving Harry a playful glare.
