First Encounter – Shadows from the Sky
The Hidden Leaf Village breathes in peace.
Boruto, young Naruto, and Jiraiya walk down a dusty trail on the village outskirts, the evening
breeze cool after a long training session.
Jiraiya scratches his head. "You two really wore me out today."
Boruto chuckles. "You weren't holding back either."
CRACK.
Suddenly, the sky fractures, like glass under pressure.
A distortion spirals open, above the forest line. Space warps and bends unnaturally.
BOOM.
A figure crashes down, shaking the ground. Trees explode outward. Animals flee.
Dust clouds rise—and from the crater, a single silhouette rises. Pale. Cloaked. Calm.
Urashiki Ōtsutsuki.
His red eyes flicker with amusement. "Found you."
Boruto's breath catches in his throat. "No way… here?!"
Urashiki raises his hand—and without a word, launches a chakra rod straight at Boruto.
Jiraiya moves instantly, pushing both boys aside.
CRASH. The rod embeds into the earth, glowing.
Jiraiya's tone shifts. No longer laid-back. "You two—get back. Now."
Boruto helps Naruto up. "That's him… the Ōtsutsuki I told you about!"
Urashiki steps forward. "How sweet. You remember me."
He smirks, raising his fishing rod. "Let's see what you've learned."
More chakra rods fly.
Jiraiya blocks one with a kunai but is forced to retreat under the pressure. His eyes narrow.
"He's trying to steal our chakra…"
He lands between the boys and Urashiki, hand signs forming fast.
"No time to play games."
He slams his hands together—smoke explodes.
The air shifts.
Jiraiya emerges in Sage Mode. His eyes glow amber, skin marked. Ma and Pa Toad appear on
his shoulders, ready to fight.
Pa Toad croaks: "This one's nasty, Jiraiya-boy. Watch yourself."
Ma Toad grins: "At least he can't absorb nature energy!"
Urashiki's smile falters. "Sage Mode…? Tch."
He swings his rod, absorbing a nearby jutsu—but when he tries to siphon energy from Jiraiya—
His hand sizzles. He winces.
Jiraiya smirks. "You'll find natural chakra doesn't go down easy."
They clash.
Jiraiya charges with a Rasengan fused with nature energy.
Urashiki dodges, but barely—the force alone crushes a tree.
Chakra rods rain down, but Jiraiya leaps high, summoning a massive toad to intercept.
Urashiki floats higher, annoyed. "You're all wasting my time."
Meanwhile…
Across the rooftops of the village—
Sasuke senses the battle. His Rinnegan flickers. He's too far—but he starts moving.
He teleports in short hops—moving cautiously to avoid timeline interference.
At the same moment, in another shadowed corner—
Feathers begin to fall.
Crows gather.
From the treeline, a figure emerges—Itachi.
Quiet. Calculated. He doesn't speak—he simply watches, eyes locked on Urashiki.
Boruto gasps. "Itachi?!"
Itachi steps forward, past them, toward Urashiki.
Urashiki frowns. "Another one? What are you people made of?"
Boom—lightning crashes in from above.
Sasuke arrives. Sword humming, Rinnegan burning.
He lands beside his brother. The Uchiha stand united.
Jiraiya glances back mid-fight. "Well, looks like we've got a real party now."
Sasuke draws his sword. "Let's make it quick."
THE INITIAL CLASH:
Urashiki lands lightly on the cracked earth, his fishing rod flickering with chakra. The tip drips
with residual energy—evidence of the technique he just absorbed. Naruto and Boruto regroup
behind Jiraiya, shaken.
JIRAIYA
(grimly)
Listen up—he doesn't just absorb chakra from jutsu. He has to pierce you with that rod to do it.
Young Naruto's eyes widen.
NARUTO (YOUNG)
So we just don't let him stab us, right? Easy!
Jiraiya gives him a look.
JIRAIYA
It's not that simple. One touch and your chakra's gone—he drains it straight through the rod.
That's why he's aiming to get in close.
Itachi steps forward, eyes sharp, Mangekyō Sharingan glowing.
ITACHI
Then our priority is avoiding direct contact. If he needs to pierce us, we control the distance.
He looks to the others.!
As the team begins to move, Urashiki's Rinnegan pulses. Before anyone can react—
URASHIKI
(smirking)
You talk too much.
—he vanishes and instantly reappears right in front of Naruto, using his Rinnegan space-time
ability. In a blur, he drives his chakra rod into Naruto's stomach.
BORUTO
NARUTO!!
Jiraiya and Sasuke leap forward—but stop as a surge of energy backfires. A pulse of blue
sealing chakra bursts from Naruto's stomach, burning against Urashiki's hand like fire.
URASHIKI
Gah—?!
He stumbles back, eyes wide. Steam rises from his palm. The chakra rod retracts, failing to
absorb anything.
URASHIKI (CONT'D)
What… is this?!
Naruto groans, clutching his stomach. The seal glows faintly—the Four Symbols Seal, placed by
Minato.
JIRAIYA
(realizing)
He couldn't extract it... the seal blocked him!
ITACHI
So if we apply sealing techniques... we can shut off his absorption completely.
SASUKE
Or trap him in a space where the rod becomes useless.
BORUTO
We use bait again... but this time, with sealing tags?
JIRAIYA
Exactly. Layer them into the battlefield. Make every strike a trap he doesn't see coming.
Urashiki glares at them, flexing his burned hand, fury simmering behind his eyes.
URASHIKI
You insolent pests... you dare turn my techniques against me?
SASUKE
We've dealt with gods before.
--
THREE LEGENDS TOGETHER
The battlefield holds its breath.
Opposite Urashiki, standing like immovable titans:
— Jiraiya, cloaked in Sage Mode, nature energy swirling like a storm.
— Itachi Uchiha, silent and poised, eyes burning crimson.
— Sasuke Uchiha, wounded but defiant, Rinnegan and Sharingan both active.
Urashiki hovers midair, twirling his chakra fishing rod, a smirk playing on his lips.
URASHIKI
Three against one? Must be my lucky day.
Itachi steps forward slowly, a flick of his cloak revealing sealing tags lining the inside.
ITACHI
You rely on touch to absorb chakra. That's your weakness.
URASHIKI
Hmph. Knowing won't save you.
JIRAIYA
We'll see about that.
With synchronized precision, the three legends move. Itachi hurls shuriken—each laced with
paper tags that glow faintly.
Urashiki flicks his rod, batting them away—but one sticks to the tip.
URASHIKI
What—?
The tag flashes and flares—ZAP!—a burst of sealing chakra explodes, forcing Urashiki to let go
of the rod momentarily.
CRACK!
Sasuke appears behind him, blade ready, but doesn't strike. Instead—he slaps a sealing tag on
Urashiki's back.
SASUKE
Try draining now.
Urashiki snarls and warps out—but the tag remains, pulsing.
He tries to absorb it—and winces.
URASHIKI
A seal... laced with raw chakra? What trick is this?!
ITACHI
Every time you try to steal chakra—you'll trigger a seal instead.
Jiraiya grins, landing beside them with a scroll in hand.
JIRAIYA
We've laid dozens across the battlefield. Hidden in the terrain, in our attacks. Every strike's a
gamble for you now.
Urashiki's eyes flick around—realizing he's surrounded.
URASHIKI
Clever… but I'm still faster.
He hurls chakra rods in a wide spread. The legends dodge—but Sasuke takes one to the
shoulder. Blood splatters. Still, he yanks it out and slaps it into the ground—
—activating another seal circle around Urashiki's feet.
URASHIKI (CONT'D)
Tch!
He teleports up—only to be met by a falling Jiraiya.
JIRAIYA
You're not getting out of this—
Sage Rasengan in hand—but instead of landing it directly, Jiraiya hurls it—
It explodes near Urashiki—activating another trap tag midair that explodes in a chaining seal
pattern, forcing Urashiki to warp away again, panting.
Smoke clears. Seals spark across his body, disrupting his chakra control.
URASHIKI
You… filthy mortals… using my technique against me?!
SASUKE
Not yours anymore.
ITACHI
And now, you've lost your greatest weapon.
The three stand side by side—silent, unshaken.
Boruto watches from the distance, eyes wide in awe.
BORUTO (softly)
They're actually pushing him back...
The wind stills. Urashiki's chakra pulses violently, furious. He's on the defensive.
The real battle has begun. But now—
—he can't drain a thing.
Rise of the Next Flame:
Urashiki descends, bloodied but grinning—his gaze locked on young Naruto and Boruto.
Urashiki (snarling): "Enough games with relics. Let's erase the future."
He rockets forward, faster than before—his time-warping chakra cloaking him in unstable
flashes of motion.
Jiraiya steps in his path, Sage Mode glowing, fists clenched. Fukasaku and Shima are already
perched on his shoulders, their eyes locked on the enemy.
Jiraiya: "You're not touching them."
He lands a solid hit—but Urashiki phases through, reappearing behind him.
SLASH. A deep gash across Jiraiya's back—but he grits his teeth, staying upright.
Fukasaku (urgently): "Jiraiya-boy, he's shifting time again! He's not warpin'—he's skipping!"
Shima: "Don't waste movement! Feel his rhythm, not his form!"
Jiraiya (grinning through the pain): "No worries, you two. Just keep singing when the time
comes."
--
Sasuke appears in front of Boruto, sword raised to block Urashiki's next strike.
The blade shatters. Sasuke falls to one knee, chakra spent.
Boruto: "Sasuke-sensei!"
Urashiki raises his rod—aimed directly at Naruto.
But just before it hits—
CRACK.
Itachi intercepts. Cloak fluttering. Sharingan blazing. Blood dripping from his eyes.
Itachi: "I've had enough of your voice."
Urashiki freezes.
And then—he's trapped.
Red skies. A black moon. Thousands of crows.
Itachi's final genjutsu activates—burning what's left of his life force to give the next generation
one clean shot.
He whispers, not turning.
"Boruto. Naruto. Now."
--
The Torch is Passed
Boruto steps forward, eyes wide but steady.
Naruto, young and brash, grins. "Let's finish this!"
Boruto activates Karma—a flicker of Otsutsuki energy flares, barely contained.
Naruto channels just enough Nine-Tails chakra to stay in sync.
They move in perfect harmony—Naruto overpowering with force, Boruto slipping through
time-blinks with instinct beyond his years.
Urashiki snaps free of the genjutsu—only to see:
Boruto's Rasengan, layered with temporal chakra
Naruto's Shadow Clones, pinning Urashiki in mid-air
BOOM!
The joint Rasengan explodes—ripping space as it tears through Urashiki.
He screams—once, twice—then vanishes, crumbling into fading chakra dust.
--
Aftermath
Dust settles.
Jiraiya catches Sasuke as he stumbles.
Itachi kneels, barely breathing—but peaceful.
Boruto stands, hand trembling.
Naruto flashes a wide grin. "We did it."
Itachi (weakly): "You're not just his son anymore."
Jiraiya chuckles, but winces.
Shima (sniffing): "Hmph. That brat's got guts."
Fukasaku (smiling): "He's got heart too. Just like you did, Jiraiya-boy."
Jiraiya (softly): "Then maybe I wasn't wrong… putting faith in the next flame."
--
The three legends step back—not because they're broken...
But because they've seen the light of tomorrow rise.
And it's bright as hell.
--
Aftermath – Just Before Kisame Appears
The smoke clears. Boruto steadies Naruto. Jiraiya watches the treetops. Sasuke stands quiet,
eyes scanning the horizon.
Fukasaku and Shima, perched on Jiraiya's shoulders, both look weary but alert.
Fukasaku: "That one had more tricks than a pit full o' snakes."
Shima: "Still breathin', Jiraiya-boy?"
Jiraiya (nods): "Yeah… but something tells me it's not over."
Fukasaku: "Then we'll leave you to it. You've got this."
The elder toads vanish in twin poofs of smoke.
--
Suddenly—
Boom. Boom.
From the mist of the treeline emerges a towering blue figure dragging a bandaged sword,
chakra pulsing like a storm—
Kisame Hoshigaki.
Kisame: "Well, well… I thought I'd find corpses. Instead, I find you all standing. And Itachi—you
look like you've been on vacation in a war zone."
Jiraiya's expression darkens. He takes a cautious step forward.
Jiraiya: "You…"
Naruto blinks. "You know him?"
Jiraiya (tense): "Yeah. He was there. With Itachi—when they came after you. You were younger.
Caught off guard. I remember his chakra like it was yesterday."
Naruto's eyes widen. "That was him...! The guy with the freaky sword."
Boruto (quiet): "Akatsuki..."
Kisame (grinning): "Ah, memories. I remember that day. You nearly wet yourself, blondie."
Naruto (growls): "Yeah? I remember you ran."
--
Kisame stops beside Itachi, glancing at the scorched terrain.
Kisame: "That thing you were fighting—left some interesting scars. What was that?"
Itachi (calmly): "A threat beyond our world. But it's handled."
Kisame eyes the others. "Didn't expect to see you traveling with company. Especially a
Sharingan user who looks like he could be your brother... just taller."
He pauses. Smirks.
Kisame: "Wait a minute..."
--
Naruto suddenly steps forward.
Naruto: "Hey! You keep talking like you know them. What's going on?"
He turns to Itachi.
Naruto: "And you... You are Sasuke's brother, right?"
Itachi looks at him.
Naruto: "That guy… the quiet one… he's Sasuke too, isn't he? But older. Different."
Everyone freezes. Jiraiya raises an eyebrow.
Boruto: "Naruto—wait—"
Naruto: "No! I'm not stupid! That chakra… that face. That's Sasuke. I don't get it, but I feel it. Tell
me!"
Itachi's eyes narrow slightly, realizing.
He steps closer to Sasuke, studying his face.
Itachi (low): "…You're from the future."
Sasuke nods once. "I came to stop what's coming. And to protect him."
--
Restoration of the Timeline:
The battlefield is still.
The sky, once scorched by chakra storms, now calms under the rising sun. Smoke trails
dissolve into quiet winds.
Jiraiya steadies Naruto, who's only semi-conscious. Boruto watches them—eyes heavy, heart
conflicted. Sasuke stands back, calculating.
Then—
Itachi steps forward, eyes dim, his Mangekyō Sharingan flaring one final time.
Itachi (softly, to himself):
"This memory… must end here."
A ripple of silence.
His genjutsu activates—"Moonfade Reflection."
--
[Inside the Genjutsu]
Crows rise like shadows across the battlefield. A single moment, stretched.
Naruto, Jiraiya, Boruto, Sasuke, and Kisame stand frozen, suspended in crimson light.
Naruto and Jiraiya's memories rewind, stopping at the beginning of the day—before Urashiki's
attack.
Boruto and Sasuke believe it was Sasuke who erased the memories of the battle, to preserve
history.
Kisame forgets ever encountering Itachi during this incident—believing he arrived too late to
fight.
Itachi's presence vanishes from everyone's mind—as if he was never there.
--
[Reality Resumes – A Gentle Return]
Jiraiya (blinking):
"Huh… What were we just—?"
Naruto (rubbing his head):
"Did I fall asleep…? Weird…"
They look around. The battlefield looks scorched—but there's no memory of why.
Jiraiya (frowning):
"I have the strangest feeling something happened. But…"
He shrugs. Fukasaku and Shima sit quietly on his shoulders, just as confused.
Jiraiya:
"Let's get back to the village. Whatever it was, it's over now."
--
[At the Edge of the Forest – Hidden From Sight]
Sasuke watches from the shadows. Boruto stands beside him, silent.
Boruto (softly):
"They don't remember anything."
Sasuke (nodding):
"That's how it has to be."
A rift opens behind them—the time-space portal that will return them home.
Boruto (looking back one last time):
"You think we'll ever tell him? The truth?"
Sasuke:
"No. That truth belongs to the past."
They step into the portal.
In a flicker of light—
they're gone.
No trace left behind.
--
[Back in the Future – Hidden Leaf Village]
Boruto and Sasuke stand on a rooftop overlooking the present-day village.
Boruto:
"Feels like none of it happened. But I remember everything…"
Sasuke (quietly):
"Good. That means it mattered."
A breeze passes. In the wind, a crow circles above—then vanishes into the sky.
