Disclaimer: I don't own The Quintessential Quintuplets.

"Sundays are the best," Futaro murmured to himself. "A whole day to study to my heart's content - without having to worry about those five thorns in my side!"

The blue-haired young man smiled to himself as he scrawled away through the book in front of him. He was relieved to have some peace and quiet after spending the day before tutoring the Nakano Quintuplets. As usual, his attempts to teach the five ditzy sisters had been completely chaotic. He intended to spend the whole Sunday aheadcarrying out his own studying.

Even if it happened to be Easter Sunday.

Futaro paused, his pen freezing on the page he was writing away on. Easter Sunday had not been anything special for his family after the passing of his mother. He had never been able to buy any Easter Eggs since they had fallen completely into dept.

He shook his head to get the bleak thoughts out of his head. This was just another normal Sunday for him, regardless of whether it was Easter or not.

At least he could enjoy his whole day of not having to see any of the quintuplets.

BUZZ!

"Raiha!" Futaro called to his little sister upon hearing the noise that abruptly filled the air. "Could you get the door?"

"Geez, big bro!" Raiha made a face at her older sibling as she headed towards the apartment door. "You're gonna let your whole life pass you buy if you keep your head stuck in a book."

Futaro just chuckled without raising his head from the book he was writing in. He listened as Raiha pulled the door open while he continued to scrawl away - before suddenly freezing as a loud, high-pitched voice broke through the atmosphere.

"HAPPY EASTERRRRRERR!"

"Oh my gosh!" Raiha cried. "It's the Easter Bunny!"

Futaro's golden eyes widened over what he had just heard. His face went white over how easily he recognised the voice who had just shouted through his doorway. With a knot tightening in his stomach, he shot up from his desk and raced across the room to join his sister. He quickly reached Raiha's side - and his jaw fell open to find that standing at the apartment door, wearing a bunny costume as well as a bright smile was none other than-

"YOTSUBA?!"

"Hey, Uesugi!"

Yotsuba beamed as she hopped through the doorway to enter the room. She was wearing a light brown onesie that had a ball of white cotton on the back which looked like a rabbit's tail. Her green ribbon been replaced by a pair of fake bunny years. They stuck out on top of her head in exactly the same way.

"Happy Easter!"

"What are you doing here?!" Futaro demanded, closing the door as he looked with bafflement at the bizarre attire which the girl was wearing. "And why are you dressed like that?!"

"Why else?" Still smiling brightly, Yotsuba held up what she was carrying in her hands - which was a large basket filled with brightly-coloured objects. "I came to deliver Raiha's Easter eggs!"

"Easter Eggs?!" Raiha repeated, her face lighting up over hearing what Yotsuba had for her. "For me?!"

"Of course!" Yotsuba nodded as she handed the basket over to the little girl. "That's my job as the Easter Bunny!"

Futaro looked down to see the basket Yotsuba had given Raiha overflowing with large chocolate eggs. His eyes filled with bewilderment to see so many. They were all packed in together, individually wrapped in shiny colourful paper.

She sure went to a lot of effort to do that, Futaro thought. If only she would apply as much effort to studying!

"Wow!" Raiha's face was glowing at the sight of so many chocolate eggs - all for her. Due to her family's financial issues, it had been years since she had last had a single Easter egg, let alone several. She gaped at them in her amazing for a few seconds before putting the basket down - to throw herself at the person who had brought them to her.

"Thank you, Yotsuba! You didn't have to do that!"

"Aww, of course we did, Raiha!" Yotsuba smiled as she embraced the little girl who she found so adorable and precious. "My sisters and I were determined to get you some Easter eggs - but I insisted I was going to be the one to deliver them to you!"

"I'm so glad you did! You're the best Easter Bunny ever!"

Futaro blinked upon hearing all five of the Quintuplets had planned what Raiha had just been surprised with. It must have cost a lot of their family's large fortune on so many Easter eggs for one girl. Seeing how happy the sister who had delivered the eggs had made his own little sibling, he couldn't help but smile. What Yotsuba lacked in intelligence, she more than made up for in generosity and selflessness.

There was no way Futaro could deny Yotsuba had a good heart.

Much like the mysterious girl he had met five years ago in Kyoto.

"Oh, and we didn't forget you, Uesugi!" Yotsuba said to her tutor as she released Raiha. "My sisters and I got something for you too!"

Futaro's eyebrows raised in disbelief. He was astonished to learn that his students who gave him so much trouble and drama had taken the time and spent their money to get a gift for him as well.

"You did?!" he exclaimed. "You five really got me something Easter too?!"

"Sure did!" Yotsuba reached into a pocket on her Easter Bunny outfit. She pulled something out into view before holding it before her tutor. "Happy Easter, Uesugi!"

Futaro's eyes dropped onto the gift from his five students. He could see straight away that it wasn't a single Easter egg.

It was nothing more than a studying textbook.

"My sisters and I know too well how much you love studying!" Yotsuba grinned. "So we knew it would be the perfect gift for you!"

Futaro took the book into his hands. He stared at it blankly, trying to hide what he thought of receiving such a thing from his five students.

The Quintuplets had spent what must have been a fortune on so many Easter eggs for his little sister - and yet none of them thought to even get him a single one.

All they had thought about was his constant knack for studying, which they didn't share with him.

It was so typical of the five Nakano sisters.

"Thank you, Yotsuba." Futaro forced a smile. "A studying textbook. Just what I've always wanted."

"I thought so!" Yotsuba giggled, naively believing Futaro was genuinely pleased with his gift from her and her sisters. "We all know how much you love studying."

Futaro nodded, his eyelid twitching agitatedly.

"Well, I must be hoping back to my burrow!" Yotsuba announced. "It's time for me to get started on my own Easter eggs! That is, if they haven't all been eaten by Itsuki!"

"Alright!" Futaro nodded, pulling the apartment door open. "See ya at school, Yotsuba!"

"Bye, Uesugi!" Yotsuba waved to her tutor before sending the smile on her face towards his little sister. "Bye, Raiha! Happy Easter!"

"Bye, Yotsuba!" Raiha smiled back as she waved her one hand, her other one holding the basket of Easter eggs. "Thank you again! Happy Easter to you and your sisters!"

Yotsuba cooed at the sweetness of the small child she was pleased to have made happy. She waved back to her in return before hoping out of the Uesugi family's apartment. She prepared to head home to rejoin her sisters - paying no mind to the sort of attention she would attract along the way over the costume she was wearing.

Once Yotsuba was out of sight, Futaro closed to door before staring silently at the book in his hand. He carried it over to his desk and sat in the chair. It really shouldn't have come as a surprise to him that this was the sort of gift his schoolwork-shy students would think he would want.

At least he had another book to use for his day of studying.

Easter Sunday was well and truly just another day of studying for him.

"Here, big bro."

Futaro looked up to see Raiha was standing over him. She was holding one of the large Easter eggs that had been in the basket. She gently took her brother's hand, placing the egg inside it.

"If you're going to waste your whole Sunday studying, you'd better have something to stimulate your brain," she said softly. "Just make sure you pull your head out of your book on the day you get married - which I hope is to someone who's like Yotsuba."

Futaro shook his head at the idea of him getting married to someone like Yotsuba. As he watched Raiha make her way from him, his gaze oftener upon seeing how delighted she was over the chocolate eggs in colourful wrapping paper that had just been delivered to their house - just for her.

Easter Sunday may have been just another ordinary studying day for Futaro - but he was pleased that for his beloved little sister, it was a happy Easter.
