Something wasn't right about this 'Usako' and Luna was on the move to understand the full situation.

First, she could tell on the spot that Shingo had done something to his parents to make them compliant in accepting the young girl as their distant niece, and then there was the whole scent of her that wasn't right. She had a similar scent to Usagi, but it wasn't one she gained by spending time with the older girl.

No, it was naturally close to Usagi. And a quick look at blood works through her little base under the arcade spot confirmed her wildest suspicions: Usako was not Usagi's cousin, but her daughter. Which opened up to more questions that the feline wasn't so happy to dabble into.

How? Why? When?!

She knew the answers were owned by Shingo, but he had appeared fairly elusive to her as of recently. Didn't help that even Artemis was being tight-lipped with her, which only made Luna even more frustrated by the notion they knew the truth about Usako, while Usako herself was genuinely clueless of her own situation. Amnesia felt a bit too difficult to sell as an act, but Usako was genuinely amnesiac and lacking any memory of her past.

She didn't even remember going to school, having friends, or her family at all. It was baffling, but Luna knew better than trying her luck exposing herself as a talking cat when around the pinkette.

Plus, deep down, she found the girl affable and clearly not a threat. Rather, she was concerned by what her presence here and now may imply. A person from the future usually meant they were sent back to change something or, in rarer occasions, ask the help of warriors of the past that may assist them against a threat of the future. For a long time, Luna had thought that Metallia would have been the last they would end up fighting, but with a world like Earth having so many potential successors to that dangerous entity, and the chances of some 'resurrection' being feasible for such monster, it was fair to assume that their job was far from over.

Still, the lack of information was the opposite of helpful. And Luna, instead of chasing around for answers, decided that it was high time to involve someone that may actually be of help with the right words. Especially since Usako wasn't just Usagi's child, but also Chiba Mamoru's own spawn.

The Chiba household had long been turned into a lively 'operation base' since last time she visited it before after Metalia's death. The relative peace had not been taken in so kindly by the reincarnated prince as he sought to keep track of not only anything related to Metalia but other threats that may be tied to earthly affairs which could divert against them.

While Luna was a bit surprised Mamoru had taken to take steps to track down any signs of future trouble, it felt fitting that now she needed his help with this matter. Entering the manor thanks to Zoisite, she was soon seeing the reincarnated prince and the rest of his generals sitting by their 'war room'.

A large living room converted to serve as an office where pictures, data, and machines were set up to provide assistance to the six fellows involved in those extensive investigations. And despite the fact Luna had told the Scouts that Mamoru and the Generals had gone quiet, the truth was best kept hidden. Not because she wanted to hide things from them, but it would be unnecessary stress them over unknown possible threats. Not without some proof, like now.

"Luna. Long time no see."

"Endymion, I have news," Luna spoke, her tone already suggesting trouble, but her next words catching the entire group off guard. "You have a daughter."

...

"I do?" Mamoru asked, his face showing the utter confusion at this revelation.

"Not from this timeline, but from the future. Here I have some blood samples, a picture of her, and I need your help to investigate further on why she is here."

The young man didn't reply on the spot, focusing on checking the bag Luna was carrying and verifying its content. The Generals had the chance to see those resources too, impressed but also puzzled by the situation considering this was a novelty.

Their future king was to go ahead and marry with the moon princess? It was a fair confusion to have considering that neither Mamoru nor Usagi had shown interest in being together but... a daughter up along the future set up a rather interesting dilemma. Did this mean they had to get closer now or would that come up naturally?

That being said, Mamoru was quick to pick up a valid point about the main topic of this visit. "Couldn't you just ask the little princess about her reasons to be here, Luna?"

"She is amnesiac. I tried to see if this was an act, but she truly lost her memory," Luna answered readily, then decided to put a bit of pressure on Shingo through this group. "But, from my understand, Moon Knight may know more about this as he was the one that brought her to Usagi."

"The child lives with her... mother?" Mamoru deduced, which got a nod from Luna. "That being said, Moon Knight is-"

"We have been tracking his moves. He had vanished for a few days, but we suspect wherever he went was to gain more power," Nephrite interjected. "His change in appearance coincided with an unusual increase in his power. I would say that he has been growing stronger in preparation for upcoming trouble."

"Which may coincide with Little Usako's appearance," Mamoru concluded with a nod. "Yes, it would be perhaps right for us to approach Moon Knight. We need some clarity on the situation, if not to know why Usako went back in time, then to know what we are going to face soon."

Which was the point driving her to involving them. Sure, it meant putting some pressure on Shingo, but it was deserved for keeping secrets at such crucial situations. After a most reassuring visit, Luna went back home with a somewhat relieved mind. She knew Shingo was going to be mad at her but... he deserved it. She had been very kind and polite in not nagging at him about this crucial information, but he should know better that he owed them all some warnings on what was going to happen about Usako.

That being said, she hoped this wasn't going to backfire on her somehow. That would just be unfair.

Next time Shingo is... 'ordered' to visit Gosha and gets in a bit of a situation. Both for what her sensei/surrogate grandma wants from him and because a girl from Gosha has a lot to say to him for saving her a while back.
