That evening, Maddie had finished making dinner when Liv arrived home.
"Just in time," said Maddie.
"I didn't expect you to cook tonight," said a surprised Liv as she hung her purse up by the door before walking over to the table.
"Figured I should do something after the call that I made this morning," said Maddie while removing the apron she had been wearing.
"How did the talk with Chaise go?" she asked.
"I dumped him right away, didn't even give him a chance to say a word in his defense after I saw what happened," said Liv as they sat down at the table.
"Was there other issues in your relationship?" asked Maddie.
"A few, but mistaking you for me even after you told him otherwise was the last straw; also, good right hook you gave him," said Liv.
"I had even told him that you were moving in and that I had a twin sister so that just proves he never listened to me in the first place," she said while furiously stabbing at the food on her plate.
"Yeah, that definitely sounds like he had a problem with it," said Maddie.
"Can't believe I wasted the last few months on him," said Liv.
"Mm, when did you get this good at cooking?" she asked after taking a bite of the food that sat before her.
"Had to cook a lot in college, I especially got good after Diggie and I broke up since it's one of the things I put most of my energy into outside of basketball," said Maddie.
"I vote that you make dinner every Friday since that's the day I get home the earliest of any day," said Liv.
"Guess I can live with that," said Maddie.
"Also, I'm sorry that you had to deal with Chaise," said Liv.
"That's not something you should be apologizing for," said Maddie.
"Still, if I had broken up with him sooner then you wouldn't have had to deal with him so if there is anything you want just let me know," said Liv.
"Alright, if you want to make it up to me then treat me to dinner at a good restaurant sometime soon," said Maddie.
"You got it," said Liv with a smile.
