That evening, Liv was in the living room watching TV when Maddie entered the house.
"Hey, how was practice?" asked Liv.
"It was good," said Maddie as she walked to the kitchen.
"Alright, something must have happened because you're not your normal self right now," said Liv while pausing her movie and getting up to follow her.
"Sorry, I'm just surprised by what happened earlier," said Maddie.
"I got asked out by a teammate before coming home," she said as she took a bottle of water from the fridge.
"What?" asked Liv while looking at her sister with a shocked expression.
"She asked me out after practice and messaged me the location that we'll be meeting at this Saturday," said Maddie before showing her sister her phone.
"Oh, I know that location," said Liz.
"You do?" asked Maddie.
"Yeah, I went there with an ex-girlfriend a couple of years back after I came out as bi," said Liv while returning Maddie's phone to her.
"It's got a lot of LGBTQ customers thanks to the bars and other clubs around and people like to hop from place to place," she said.
"So, it's a safe place?" asked Maddie.
"Yeah, but it's not an actual gay club so you may have to deal with some guys hitting on you who are to stupid to realize otherwise," said Liv.
"I can handle them," said Maddie.
"No doubt you can, but I'm more worried about this woman who asked you out suddenly like this," said Liv.
"You're worried she's got ulterior motives, aren't you?" asked Maddie.
"Just be careful, and if anything were to happen, call me right away and I'll send one of my bodyguards to get you right away," said Liv.
"You got it," said Maddie with a smile.
"Now, what are we going to do for dinner tonight?" she asked.
