A Strange Friendship
~A/N~ No-one: Happy Birthday to anyone who shares this day with me.
No-one: Here we are with the next 'USJ Zone' chapter, we won't be going past the end of the previous chapter.
No-one: Every zone chapter will taking place at the same time, while some will be shorter than others but USJ won't continue until the zones are cleared.

~Chapter 12 Into the Fire~
Izuku was blinded by the swirling mists of the villain who brought the rest of the villains to the USJ, he jolted as the ground beneath him seemingly disappeared, Izuku flailed as he fell, as the mist cleared he could see he was in burning city, hitting the ground with a grunt, he climbed back to his feet, thankful it wasn't a long fall.
Looking around on high alert, the buildings were burning but in a manner that looked controlled 'are we still in the USJ?' he asked himself 'that villain said he'd scatter us across the facility' before could think any further a rather loud crash from the alley to his right drew his attention, he approached cautiously, ready to retreat at the first sign of threat.
"Well that could've gone better" a familiar voice complained.
"Kirishima?" Izuku asked optimistically.
"Midoriya, you're here too?" Kirishima asked, walking out of the alley "any clue where we are?"
"I think we're still inside the USJ" he answered "that villain said he would scatter us across the facility"
"I hope our classmates are okay" Kirishima mumbled "I feel bad for getting in Thirteen's way"
Before the two teens could continue their conversation, Izuku noticed a steadily glowing light coming from the alley Kirishima exited, eyes widening in realization Izuku grabbed his classmate and pulled him to the side, causing the fireball to miss them both.
"Woah, thanks Midoriya" gasped the redhead "I guess we should get ready to fight instead of just talking"
"R-right" Izuku stuttered slightly, an intense look of concentration on his face "I just hope this is enough"
"Hope what is enough?" Kirishima asked, looking at Izuku he was surprised to see green sparks emitting from his body "since when could you do this Midoriya?"
"I'll explain later" Midoriya replied "here they come"
Just as the green haired boy said, multiple unknown people closed in on their location "I was hoping that didn't take you out" one villain called out with a cocky smirk.
"Honestly, UA brats need taking down a few pegs" said another villain.
"Kirishima, we need to retreat when there's an opening" Izuku whispered.
"But heroes stand and fight" Kirishima declared, raising his fists.
"We need a moment to think of a plan" Izuku replied, entering a fighting stance.
The villain who admitted to throwing the fireball earlier seemed to grow impatient, with the wave of his hand a jet of flame shot away from one of the buildings and towards the students.
Izuku jumped to the left, avoiding the burning attack, 'we need to defeat these two if we want to retreat' he thought before he could make a move to attack another jet of fire leapt off the surroundings at him, Izuku was barely able to evade the attack 'it seems like he can't create fire, only manipulate existing fire'
Izuku noticed some loose debris, that thankfully wasn't on fire, on the ground nearby, Izuku rolled out of the way of another stream of redirected fire, grabbing the rock he hurled it at the pyromancer, the projectile struck the villain and knocked him back into the alley.
Kirishima dived to the right, rolling back his feet in front of the other villain, "You're fresh outta luck kid" he taunted as his hands started glowing.
"That's what you think" responded Kirishima, clenching his fists, he moved to punch the villain, only to have his arms grabbed by the wrists.
"Big mistake kid" the villain smirked as his hands began rapidly heating up.
Kirishima grit his teeth as his arms started to burn, "let go!" he growled before headbutting the villain making him stumble back, Kirishima charged forward before the villain could recover and delivered a hard punch to the gut, knocking the air out of his lungs.
Before the grappler could catch his breath, Kirishima rushed forward and punched him across the face with a hardened fist, knocking him out.
"Kirishima, are you okay" asked Izuku, looking over to his classmate.
"Yeah, I'm fine" the redhead answered, rubbing his arms "do you think any more of our classmates are here?"
"I don't think so" Midoriya shook his head "we'd have better chances the more of us were together, so the villains would probably want us to be in as small groups as possible"
"Yeah, that makes sense" agreed Kirishima "we should go make sure the rest of our classmates are safe"
"The villains knew our whole schedule and who would be here" Izuku said quietly, the two boys moving in the directions of the environment walls "they must have gotten into school files while we were all stuck in the cafeteria, the teachers were busy trying to get the media off of school grounds, that means they've been waiting for the perfect time to attack, just like Todoroki said they were"
"But there's no way they can actually kill All Might" interjected Kirishima "he's the best and he'll punch 'em into next week"
"I don't think the villains would do this if they didn't have a plan" Izuku replied with a frown "if they can beat him, we have to stop whatever it is these bad guys are planning, we have to work together and keep All Might safe" Izuku clenched his fists tightly "no one at UA knows what's happening, this is up to us let's be heroes"
"Yeah, that was super manly Midoriya" Kirishima grinned "but what about the villains in here?"
"The best course of action for us would be to find some way to seal the exit behind us" before Izuku could say anything else more villains surrounded the students.
"Well it seems like we gotta fight before we can get out of here" Kirishima hardened his arms, ready to fight.
"Nothing personal kids, but you two gotta die" said a large four armed villain, beside him were a short guy with insect wings and shoulder mounted canisters with tubes extending to his hands, a dark skinned woman with dreadlocks and a muscular man with long blades protruding from his arms.
"I'll take the blade guy and four arms" said Kirishima, hardening his arms.
"One for All, full cowling, 3%"Izuku muttered quietly, emitting green sparks of electricity.
The winged villain zoomed towards them, pointing his arms forward streams of fire came shooting out from the tubes on his arms, Kirishima hardened his whole body and charged at his chosen targets.
Izuku leapt out of the way, he grabbed a nearby lamp post to try and reset his position, only for his momentum to cause the lamp post to bend slightly.
The dreadlocked woman slid into the corner of his view, she positioned her hands into a funnel shape before shooting a jet of oil towards him, Izuku planted his feet on the bent lamp post jumped, barely avoiding the oil.
'I can see why she was put in here' Izuku realized 'if I don't stop her now, she could burn this whole place down'
He hardly had any time to think before he had to dodge another burst of flames from the flying villain, he had to keep moving as the flying villain's attack ignited the oil.
"Nice one Firebug" the woman called out.
"It's Firefly" he yelled angrily "get it right or the next thing I torch is you"
Izuku knew he had to take care of the woman fast because she has making the area even more dangerous, he quickly looked around to see all the places that got coated in oil.
Firefly came flying in again launching jets of flame at him, he quickly retreated, sweating from the heat, only to dive away from another stream of oil from the female villain.
'I can't keep dodging forever' Izuku thought to himself, as he watched Firefly push himself off of a nearby building to move with a small burst of speed, the hero student got an idea 'I hope this works'
As the flying villain approached him, he leapt towards one of the nearby building, he barely repositioned his body to kick off from the wall, he crashed into the charging Firefly in a rather undignified manner, sending them both crashing to the ground.
"You little brat" Firefly growled before attacking, Izuku saw the punch coming and quickly rolled out of the way, making the villain hit the concrete instead "fuck!"
Izuku quickly elbowed the villain in the side of the head before he could recover, Izuku grabbed the tube connected to the canister mounted on his shoulder and ripped it in two.
Midoriya noticed the female villain coming back around for an attack, Izuku pushed Firefly towards her, right as she unleashed another jest of oil, covering the other villain completely.
"Damn it" he cursed.
Izuku acted quickly and kicked the oil covered villain in the chest, knocking him backwards into his partner, Izuku turned around while the villains were stunned and kicked the damaged lamp post as hard as he could with his safe limit, further weakening the metal and allowing him to break off the majority of the street light.
Izuku turned back around and hit the villains with his improvised weapon just as they had climbed back to his feet, knocking them both out.
Kirishima grit his teeth as he ran through the flames the flying villain blasted at him and Midoriya 'I hope Midoriya can handle those two' he thought to himself as he ran towards the other two villains.
"Die" the bladed villain yelled, swinging his left arm.
Kirishima raised his arms up to block the arm sword, he grunted at how sharp the attack was, Kirishima pushed his opponent back and threw a punch, knocking the villain away.
Before he could follow up the four armed villain grabbed both of his wrists and raised him into the air, Kirishima attempted to kick the villain, only to have his ankles grabbed as well.
"Hey Razor, I got you an open target" he bragged "he can't hold up his quirk up forever"
'Dammit he's right, better finish this fast' Kirishima struggled against the villain's hold, he glared at the bad guy before lashing out with a hardened headbutt.
The villain let out a shout of pain, dropping Kirishima onto the ground to clutch his nose just as Razor was about to stab him in the back, causing Razor to stab his partner in one of his lower arms.
As the four armed villain screamed, Kirishima rolled to his feet and punched Razor in the stomach, winding the blade villain and sending sprawling on the ground, he didn't hesitate and followed up with a punch to the head, knocking the blade villain unconscious.
"I'm gonna crush you" growled the four armed villain, grabbing handfuls of rocks and throwing them at the hero student.
The red head grunted as he covered his face from the attack, struggling to keep his quirk active, Kirishima grit his teeth and ran through the gravel assault, ramming his shoulder into the four armed villain's stomach and knocking the villain to the floor.
Kirishima panted heavily as he released his quirk "and stay down… please" he whispered the last word, he couldn't help but sigh in relief when the villain made no move to get up.
"Kirishima, are you okay?" Midoriya asked as he approached with a lamp post in hand "do you think you can help me with this?"
"Yeah, just gimme a sec" he sighed.
The two hero students grabbed one end of the metal pole each and with simultaneous grunts of effort the wrapped all four unconscious villains with the broken street light.
"We should try to avoid fighting for now" Izuku said quietly, looking around in case any more villains were hiding nearby "I don't think we're too far from the outer wall"
The students kept quiet moving cautiously throughout the burning city, by the time they found where the exit was located the heat had melted Kirishima's hair gel, leaving his hair an absolute mess.
"So how are we gonna stop the villains from coming after us?" Kirishima asked, pushing his hair out of his face.
Izuku looked around at their surroundings, when he saw a three story building that looked deliberately damaged for some kind of rescue test "I have an idea, but it's a little crazy"
"It's better than nothing" Kirishima smirked "let's hear it"
"You see that damaged building there, it's probably used for a rescue training exercise" Izuku started "if I can hit the base of the building hard enough, it might collapse and block the exit behind us"
"What about me?"
"I was going to ask if you could hold the exit open" Midoriya answered "once it starts to fall we'll need to get out of here in a hurry"
"Got it" Kirishima punched his fists together.
Both of the students split up, Kirishima went over to the door, discovering it wasn't designed to lock for safety reasons, Midoriya moved over to the building and started look for the best section of the wall to break.
When he found what he thought would be a good spot, he looked to the exit to see the distance he'd have to cover, with all the preparations he could make done he crouched and aimed his left hand at the bottom of the wall just above where it met the ground.
"This is gonna hurt" Izuku mumbled before channelling One for All into his index finger and thumb "smash!" with that yell he fired a flick with 100% power, shattering the wall and creating a hole underneath it simultaneously, Izuku grit his teeth in pain but concentrated on reapplying 'Full Cowling' and running to the exit.
Kirishima looked around for villains as Midoriya executed his plan, a yell drew his attention back to his classmate and he saw the building start to tilt and Izuku running towards him, Kirishima stood by the opened door and pulled it shut as quickly as he could when Midoriya ran passed him.
Kirishima held onto the door as the collapsing building on the other side loudly hit against the wall and door they had just left through.
"I thought we'd be back in the main USJ area?" Kirishima asked looking around the small concrete room they were stood in, a door at either side.
"It makes sense" Izuku thought out loud "the teachers would want to minimize damage between zones"
"Oh okay, well anyway we should probably get going"
"We shouldn't just dive into the middle of everything" Izuku nodded "we should try stay quiet and try to lighten Mr Aizawa's load against the villains"
Izuku made sure to look around before fully leaving the entry room for the fire zone, there was a fair distance from the door to the center plaza, the mountain, shipwreck and landslide.
"Shouldn't we try and help our classmates?" Kirishima whispered.
"I have faith in the other members of our class" Izuku answered "but Mr Aizawa is alone against so many villains"
"It's cool that you have faith in our classmates Midoriya" the red head grinned "alright let's go help our teacher"
Both students stayed silent as they approached the fountain, they ducked down to hide before slowly looking over the fountain rim.
Izuku froze at seeing Ochako being held by her head by a large black villain with an exposed brain, in front of them was a villain covered in hands holding Uraraka's knife and Aizawa was laying unmoving in a shallow crater.
"Do you know what my quirk does?" he asked before gripping the knife tightly and it turned to dust.
The villain laughed before reaching out to use his quirk on Ochako directly, Izuku and Kirishima gasped in fear for their classmate's life, only for nothing to happen.
"You really are so cool" he said turning back to look at the heavily injured "Eraserhead"
"Kirishima, help Mr Aizawa" Izuku whispered, his body starting to emit green sparks "take him to safety"
Kirishima didn't get any chance to object before Izuku charged towards villains holding Ochako, just as she kicked the hand covered villain away from herself.
"YOU!" Izuku yelled "LET HER GO!"
~A/N~ No-one: And there we go the 2nd USJ zone chapter is done, as I said before all the 'Zone chapters' will be happening simultaneously, but now you know who screamed at the end of the previous chapter.
