14. Announcement

Hello everyone!

I know it's been quite a while, so this update will probably come as a shock. I've pondered coming back to writing for a while now, but a conversation with my friend yesterday fully convinced me. I told her about how I started a FanFiction account in middle school and all the stories I wrote. I also told her how I one day just stopped writing, even though I had multiple stories in progress, and she was horrified. She said I was the worst kind of writer, and I honestly couldn't disagree. Lord knows I can't stand it when my favorite stories just never update. She made me promise to get back into writing and finish what I started; however, it's hard to get right back into the story because I've changed so much. I started writing these stories so young, and there's many things I would go back and change. Not the overall plot, of course, but how I wrote it, the pacing of it, and the dialogue.

So this is an announcement that I will be returning to this story, but I won't jump right back in where I left off. I'm going to go back to the beginning and edit it. Because so much of it is already written, I will be able to update quickly. After all, I'm basically just editing what already exists. I will be able to update at least once every two weeks though I will aim for every week.

I will keep the older stories as is, and I will publish the rewrites as new stories with Title: Rewrite.

Thanks so much to everyone who stuck by this story even after years of silence. I promise to repay you by finishing what I started. My friend will also be holding me accountable. I don't know if I'll ever write new stories after this, but I can at least give a proper conclusion to the stories that I once put so much time, heart, and love into. I will be focusing on one story at a time, but I will be getting to all of my unfinished stories eventually.

This will be the first series I rewrite and then finish. I will be going all the way back to the first story in this series called With You: The Rewrite. It will be posted sometime today with the goal of posting a new chapter every, or every other, Sunday. Eventually, I will catch up to where I left off, and you will be getting new chapters.
