In the vibrant realm of Universe 6, where the Saiyans thrived, an extraordinary tale began. Ash Ketchum, known for his adventures as a Pokémon Trainer in another universe, found himself reincarnated in Universe 6 as a Saiyan. But unlike most Saiyans, he was born with a distinctive trait—a monkey tail, a symbol of his unique heritage. Ash grew up alongside Cabba, a fellow Saiyan who became his closest childhood friend. Together, they trained tirelessly, honing their skills and pushing each other to new heights. But their peaceful existence was soon disrupted by news that rocked the very foundation of their universe.
"Did you hear, Ash?" Cabba's voice carried a sense of urgency as he approached his friend, a serious expression etched on his face.
Ash turned to face Cabba, his tail swaying behind him. "What's going on, Cabba?"
"Champa, the Destroyer of Universe 6, is recruiting a team of fighters to challenge his brother, Beerus, and his team from Universe 7 in a mini-tournament," Cabba explained, his voice tinged with excitement.
"A tournament?" Ash's eyes lit up with curiosity. "What's at stake?"
"Everything," Cabba replied solemnly. "Champa desires to claim Universe 7 and its delectable food for himself. If his team emerges victorious, they will gain control of Universe 7."
Ash's mind raced with possibilities. A chance to prove himself in battle, to protect his universe, and perhaps even explore the culinary wonders of Universe 7. But he knew that earning a spot on Champa's team wouldn't be easy.
"Cabba, do you think Champa would consider me for his team?" Ash asked, his tail twitching with anticipation.
Cabba hesitated for a moment before responding. "Champa has already selected me to be part of his team, thanks to Vados' recommendation. But I will speak to him on your behalf. Your strength and your unique heritage make you a valuable asset, Ash."
Hope flickered in Ash's eyes as he nodded in gratitude. "Thank you, Cabba. Let's go meet Champa and Vados. I'll do whatever it takes to prove myself."
As Ash and Cabba approached the magnificent palace of Champa, the air hummed with anticipation. Guards clad in regal armor stood watch at the entrance, their stern gazes sizing up the two Saiyans as they approached.
"Are you nervous, Ash?" Cabba asked, glancing at his friend.
Ash exhaled slowly, steadying his nerves. "A little. But I'm also excited. This could be our chance to make a difference, Cabba."
Cabba nodded in agreement, his resolve firm. "We'll do our best, Ash. Together."
With renewed determination, they passed through the grand doors of the palace, entering a vast chamber adorned with intricate designs and shimmering crystals. At the far end of the room, seated upon a throne of gold and emerald, was Champa, the rotund Destroyer of Universe 6, his expression a mix of boredom and curiosity.
Beside him stood Vados, his elegant attendant, her piercing gaze assessing the newcomers with keen interest. "Welcome, Cabba," she greeted with a nod. "And who might this be?"
"This is Ash," Cabba introduced proudly. "He's a fellow Saiyan and a formidable fighter."
Champa's eyes narrowed as he studied Ash, his lips curling into a smirk. "A Saiyan with a tail, I see. How quaint. But can he prove himself in battle?"
Ash straightened his posture, meeting Champa's gaze with unwavering determination. "I may be new to this universe, but I've trained hard and I'm ready to fight for the honor of Universe 6."
Champa chuckled, amused by Ash's boldness. "Very well, Ash. I will consider you for my team."
"Really?" Ash exclaimed, his eyes widening with anticipation.
Champa leaned back in his throne, a cunning smirk playing on his lips. "Of course, but you must prove you're not deadweight by managing to touch Vados."
Ash blinked in surprise. "Is that all?"
Champa's grin widened. "That's all."
Ash glanced at Vados, the angelic attendant who was now smiling innocently at him. Her slight chuckle made it clear that this challenge was anything but simple.
"Sounds simple enough..." Ash muttered, trying to hide his nerves. He took a deep breath, then looked at Vados with renewed determination. "Alright, Vados, get ready! I won't hold back!"
Vados' serene smile remained as she nodded. "Whenever you're ready, Ash."
The room seemed to hold its breath as Ash crouched, his tail flicking in anticipation. With a burst of energy, he launched himself towards Vados, his hand outstretched to tag her. In an instant, Vados vanished from her spot, reappearing effortlessly a few feet away. Ash skidded to a halt, his eyes widening as he realized the true challenge before him.
"Not bad," Vados commented lightly. "But you'll need to be much faster than that."
Ash grinned, excitement bubbling within him. "Alright, round two!"
He charged again, this time zigzagging to throw off her movements. But each time he thought he was close, Vados would effortlessly evade him, her movements a blur. Minutes turned into an intense blur of attempts, with Ash giving his all. Sweat began to bead on his forehead, but he refused to give up. Each dodge by Vados only fueled his determination.
Champa watched with growing amusement, his smirk never fading. "He's got spirit, I'll give him that."
Finally, Ash paused, panting slightly as he regarded Vados. She still appeared as composed and untouched as when they started. He knew he needed to tap into something deeper, something beyond sheer speed and strength. Closing his eyes, he centered himself, feeling the dormant energy within him, the power that Vados had mentioned earlier. His tail bristled with energy as he opened his eyes, a new resolve burning within them. In a sudden burst of speed, Ash moved with a fluidity he hadn't shown before. Vados' eyes widened just slightly as she felt the shift in his approach. He was adapting, learning from each failed attempt.
In a blink, Ash was in front of her, his hand just inches away. But before she could dodge, Ash's tail flicked out, the unexpected move catching her off guard for the briefest moment. His fingertips brushed her arm, and she let out a small, approving laugh.
"Well done, Ash," Vados said, her voice filled with genuine admiration. "Using your tail as a distraction was a clever tactic. You pass."
Ash grinned, panting but triumphant. "I did it!"
Champa clapped his hands, his laughter booming through the chamber. "Impressive, Ash. You've proven you're not deadweight. Welcome to the team!"
Ash's face lit up with pure joy as he realized the significance of his achievement. "You hear that, Cabba! I'm part of the team!" he exclaimed, jumping up and down with excitement.
Cabba's eyes shone with pride and happiness for his friend. "Congratulations, Ash! I knew you could do it!"
The two Saiyans celebrated their victory, their laughter echoing through the grand chamber. Champa and Vados watched silently, the Destroyer's expression a mix of amusement and contemplation. Champa glanced at his attendant, a questioning look in his eyes.
"Did he give you a hard time, Vados?" Champa asked, his voice carrying a hint of teasing.
Vados shook her head calmly, dismissing her lord's silly claims. "Not at all, my Lord. Ash performed admirably."
Champa's curiosity deepened. "You seem quite impressed with him."
Vados smiled serenely, her eyes briefly meeting Ash's, her expression softening ever so slightly. "Ash possesses limitless potential. With the right training, he could become a force to be reckoned with, perhaps even a threat to you, my Lord."
Champa snorted, half in disbelief, half in amusement. "A threat to me, Vados? Don't be ridiculous."
Vados shrugged, her smile never fading. "Who knows what the future holds? Perhaps I have a soft spot for him."
Champa raised an eyebrow, teasing. "A soft spot, you say?"
Vados chuckled softly. "It's too early to say for certain. He still lacks experience. But in time, who can say?"
Champa watched Ash, who was still celebrating with Cabba, and then turned back to Vados. "Well, if you think he has potential, I suppose I'll have to keep an eye on him. Maybe you should take him under your wing."
"Perhaps, my Lord," Vados replied, her gaze thoughtful. "But not just yet. He has much to learn."
Moments later...
"Thank you, Vados, for believing in me," Ash said earnestly. "I promise I won't let you down."
Vados smiled warmly, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "I have no doubt you will achieve great things, Ash. Remember, this is just the beginning of your journey. Stay true to yourself, train hard, and your potential will know no bounds."
Ash nodded, his resolve stronger than ever. "I will. I'll make you all proud."
With that, Ash joined Cabba as they exited the grand chamber. Champa and Vados watched them go, the Destroyer still pondering Vados' words.
"Do you really think he could become that powerful?" Champa asked, a trace of genuine curiosity in his voice.
Vados turned to him, her expression thoughtful. "In the right circumstances, with the right guidance, Ash could indeed become extraordinarily powerful. But for now, we shall watch and see how he grows."
Champa leaned back, a satisfied grin spreading across his face. "Well, this tournament just got a lot more interesting."
