Chapter Five

Savior

As Europa desperately tried to keep Ahsoka alive, Buttercup was moping around the Thornberry camp, while Bubbles attempted to meditate on the nearby beach. "Uh, this sucks! Why wouldn't they let us go with?! We fight bad guys all the time! What's so different about these bad guys?" Buttercup asked as she sat down at the nearby table in a huff.

"You heard them Buttercup, these bad guys aren't like the bad guys we face in Townsville, they're far better prepared and more dangerous." Blossom replied as she played a game of chess with Nigel.

"I say, is there anything you can't do? You've gone and check mated me again, well played Blossom." Nigel chuckled as he started reseting the chess board. Blossom smiled proudly at her achievement, though she suspected that Nigel may have been taking it easy on her. "Care to play a game, Buttercup? Perhaps it'll help take your mind off things." Nigel sugested as he waved to Buttercup.

"No thanks Mister Thornberry, I'm not good at chess." Buttercup replied as she floated closer to the ComVee.

"Maybe you can hangout with Debbie, she's getting into kickboxing." Marianne suggested as she looked at Debbie, who was throwing kicks and punches at the air.

"Thanks Misses Thornberry, but I think I'd accidentally hurt her. Restraint is something I struggle with." Buttercup replied with a small smile.

"Oh don't worry, Debbie has the same problem." Eliza quietly said with a smirk.

"I heard that!" Debbie shouted back as she threw another aggressive kick at the air.

"Well it's true!" Eliza replied in a snippy tone.

"Don't make me restrain my foot up your butt ya little geek!" Debbie yelled as she took a moment to catch her breath.

"See, no restraint." Eliza giggled as she sat down next to Blossom.

"Thanks Eliza, I actually think I'm gonna go and find Bubbles. She's good at keeping her worries in check, maybe she can teach me how to as well." Buttercup replied with a smile before walking towards the beach, only to start flying after becoming impatient at how long walking would take.

Bubbles was sitting cross legged on a small rock in the middle of the water, taking in slow breaths as she felt the living force flow around her. Decpite having her eyes closed, she was able to sense everything that was going on around her. She could feel the waves coming in before the water made any noise or sprinkled her at all, the schools of fish swimming nearby, and even the tinest insects that were walking across the nearby forest floor. So it was no surprise when she spoke to Buttercup before even having opened her eyes. "Feeling a little stressed about everything?" Bubbles asked as she continued sitting on the rock with her eyes closed.

"You and your force powers." Buttercup grumbled as she walked up behind Bubbles. Bubbles smiled as she opened her eyes and turned around to face her sister.

"It doesn't take a force wielder to know that you're stressed about something, Buttercup. Is it everyone leaving us behind when they went to fight those terrorizers?" Bubbles asked with a smile.

"Uh! Why do you say it like that?! They're terrorists! Terr-or-ists! Not terrorizers, that sounds so stupid when you..." Buttercup started to yell and rant before suddenly stopping. "I'm sorry Bubs, I didn't mean to snap at you like that. You didn't do anything to deserve that." Buttercup apologized with a sad sigh.

Bubbles smiled before floating over to her. "It's alright Buttercup, I know that you don't mean it when you get upset like that. You're worried about everyone, I am too. But worrying ourselves like this won't change anything, we have to have faith in everyone. Our aunties and mommies are strong, and so is master Tano. Besides, if something was wrong I would've..." Bubbles's sentence stopped cold as her eyes went wide with terror.

"You would've what?" Buttercup asked as she looked at Bubbles, feeling somewhat uneasy at Bubbles's expression. "Bubs?" Buttercup asked as she stared at Bubbles.

"Pain. She's..." Bubbles trailed off as she suddenly grabbed Buttercup and dashed them both back to camp.

"Bubs! What is going on?!" Buttercup shouted as Bubbles came to a stop at the camp within seconds.

"Blossom, we have to go! Something happened at the terrorizer house!" Bubbles yelled as she rushed over to Blossom.

"What happened?" Blossom asked as she zipped over to Bubbles.

"I don't know, but when I was meditating I felt this horrible pain rip through mine and master Tano's force bond, she's in trouble! I think... I think she's dying!" Bubbles quickly explained as she pressed a button on her transport watch.

"Then what are we waiting for, let's go!" Blossom ordered as she flew through the portal, followed closely by her sisters. Naru and the Thornberry family watched in confusion as the puffs dashed through the portal, which vanished a few seconds later.

"Okay then, I guess we'll see you later." Marianne said as she stared at the spot the portal had just vanished from.

"Damnit! She's going critical, I can't stabilize her without blood! Ahsoka! Ahsoka stay with us, it's gonna be aliright!" Europa yelled as she watched Ahsoka's heart rate through her visor, dreading the fact that it would be a flat line any second now. As if fate had read her mind, Ahsoka's heart rhythm ceased less than five seconds later. "Fuck! Starting compressions!" Europa yelled as she started chest compressions on Ahsoka. "Price, get the bag mask device from my kit, hurry!" Europa ordered as she continued compressions.

Price looked in her bag and saw nothing but empty blackness. "There's nothing in here, not even a bottom!" Price yelled as he reached into the bag, feeling nothing but air.

"It's magic, you need to think of the item that you want, and assuming that it exists or existed in our world at some point in history then it'll appear." Europa instructed as she continued compressions. Price quickly thought of the bag mask device, surprised when he suddenly felt something in his hand. He pulled his hand out of the bag and looked at the item, it was exactly what he had thought of.

"Got it." Price informed as he placed the bag over Ahsoka's mouth, giving two pumps of air after every set of compressions Europa did.

"Switch out after this set." Europa ordered as she began another set of compressions. Price nodded as he counted the number of compressions Europa did, giving two more breaths after the thirtieth compression.

"Switch out." Price instructed as he quickly moved to Ahsoka's side, while Europa moved to her head and grabbed the breathing pump. They began the process again, with Price giving the compressions and Europa giving the breaths. As the duo continued their revival efforts, a comotion began outside, one that neither reviver bothered to worry about. Though they both stopped when something smashed through the nearby attic window. "What the bloody hell was that?!" Price shouted as he drew his pistol from it's holster and aimed it in the direction of the blown out window.

The pistol was swiftly ripped from his hand by an invisible force, then two blue lights illuminated the back of the attic. "Get away from my master." Bubbles growled as she took a fightning stance.

Price stared in both shock and confusion at Bubbles, wondering who she was, and more importantly, how she'd ripped his weapon from his hand like that. "It's alright Bubbles, he's on our side! Please tell me Buttercup's here, we need her blood manipulation power, Ahsoka's lost a critical amount of blood and I'm loosing her!" Europa yelled as she looked back at Bubbles.

Before Bubbles could even open her mouth to respond, a streak of green light zipped past her and landed next to Ahsoka. "Stand back, I've got it." Buttercup ordered before she placed her hands on Ahsoka, feeling what little blood she had left flow through her. Buttercup took a deep and calming breath, then she used her power to begin manipulating the various types of cells in Ahsoka's body. Within seconds, new blood cells began to pump through Ahsoka's veins and arteries, breathing life back into her dying body. "Th...there, she'll be...weak and tired, but...she'll live." Buttercup informed with heavy breaths as she leaned back on her palms.

"Thank you Buttercup! Thank you for saving master Tano!" Bubbles yelled as she hugged Buttercup.

"Good job Buttercup. How are you feeling after that?" Europa asked as she examined Ahsoka.

Buttercup took a few deep breaths before answering. "Exhausted. That's the most blood...I've ever had to speed up the creation of. The hemopoietic stem cells are easy to manipulate into speeding up the production of the precursor cells thankfully, but after that, it takes a lot more effort to force the precursors to mature into erythroblasts. The most draining part is definitely forcing those erythroblasts to mature into full on red blood cells, or in Ahsoka's case, green blood cells." Buttercup replied with a chuckle.

Europa stared at her for a moment with a surprised expression. "You know how blood cells are made?" Europa asked in a surprised and impressed tone.

"Yeah, I don't know how I know though. I don't even understand most of the words I used, maybe it's just part of my power. Kind of like when Bubbles first used the force and she somehow mastered it within days. I can't explain it, I just know these things." Buttercup replied with a smile.

Europa smiled back before tousling her hair a little bit. "Not bad, I should make you my official co-medic." Europa giggled before hugging Buttercup.

"I'm glad that master Tano's okay now, but can we please get her out of this gross attic? It's so icky up here." Bubbles said as she looked around the cluttered and somewhat dusty attic they were in.

Price smiled before looking at the computer. "All teams, this is Captain Price, we're good to go. Get the tech teams up to the attic, it's a bloody gold mine of intel." Price instructed into his radio before looking at Europa. "Should we take her to a hospital?" Price asked as he looked down at Ahsoka.

"No, she's stable, I can treat whatever injuries she has back at our campsite. Thanks for looking out for her while we waited for these two, I appreciate your help; she may not have survived without it." Europa thanked before carefully picking Ahsoka up. "Jeez, she's still so damn light. Bubbles, you need to make sure that your master is eating properly." Europa teased as she carried Ahsoka towards the stairs.

"At least we can't see her bones anymore, let's take our victories where we can get them, even if they're small ones. Small victories eventually mount into large ones." Bubbles replied as she and Buttercup followed Europa down the steps.

"Wise words from someone so young, guess even an old man like myself can learn a thing or two every now and again." Price said to himself as he continued gathering whatever intel he could from the computers and other items in the attic.

Europa carried Ahsoka outside and looked at the other guardians, all of whom looked back at her and smiled. "We ready to get back to our relaxing vacation?" Sailor Moon asked with a smile.

"Kriff yeah, I'm not doing anything more than lazing around for the rest of the day after this." Europa answered with a chuckle.

"Except for pushups if you say that word in front of the girls again." Mercury said with a grin as she lightly punched Europa's arm.

"You can't make me do pushups as a punishment, you don't have the authority." Europa replied with a smug grin.

"She might not have the authority to, but I sure do." Sailor Moon said as she crossed her arms and stared at Europa.

"Did I say the K word? I meant to say, yes princess, I'm ever so excited to get back to relaxing on vacation." Europa said as she bowed her head to Sailor Moon.

"I thought so." Sailor Moon replied with a smirk before looking at Ahsoka. "Is she stable?" Sailor Moon calmly asked as she placed a hand over Ahsoka's forehead.

"Yes, but she's likely not gonna be comfortable when she wakes up. Repaired or not, those wounds are gonna hurt when she wakes up." Europa answered as she stared down at Ahsoka.

"Then let's get her back to camp, at least the jump won't make her sick if she's unconscious." Sailor Moon said as she held her watch up and activated a portal.

"I'll let Naru know what's going on once we get back, Ahsoka will be extra safe with two paramedics watching over her." Europa informed as she stepped through the portal, followed by everyone else.

"Thanks guardians, the world owes you all more than you'll ever receive." Price quietly said, as he stared out the attic window and watched everyone leave.
