The large group gather outside the palace walls*
Raiden: Everyone ready?
The group nods and Raiden puts on the dimensionator*
Raiden: Dimensionator! Find...the Skylands!
The portal whirs and the group jumps through, mounted on their rides. Marcus, Diesel, and their teams follow on their ships*
Raiden: That's the last of the phase quartz.
Kaela: We'll have to charge it or replace it in order to get out of here.
Sydney: Guys?
Everyone gasps as they see large valley-like areas hovering in the sky. It was all burned and black but some green was on them*
Raiden: No way.
They all landed in a forestry area and looked around. The trees were starting to grow back but looked nothing like a beautiful forest.*
Raiden: This place looks like it went through a forest fire.
Marcus: Yeah. None of the other areas are looking any better.
A dark shadow crosses the sky, Swordtail looks up and snarls.*
Jericho: What is it boy?
A shadow crosses behind the group*
Diesel: What was that?!
Another shadow is spotted*
Kyzil: Hey!
The group watches as several shadows try to creep on them. The beasts roar and try to shield their masters.*
Raiden: Don't shoot yet! Never attack what you can't see.
All falls silent and the sound of an arrow is heard firing at them. Swordtail cuts it with his tail and screeches at someone in the trees.*
Falcon: Hey! You! We see you!
Kate: Get down here!
Suddenly a few small dragons dive down and blow fire, ice, and lightning at them. Several creatures charge. Gunner fires a bullet into the air and the creatures stop in their tracks. 8 small dragons surround them and a ninth hops on top of a rock*
Aether: We got you surrounded! Put down your weapons and tell who you are!
Everyone but Raiden, Marcus, Kyzil, Dagger, and Kaela laugh*
Raiden: Guys! Guys! Enough!
Gunner*mockingly* Put down your weapons...
Kaela: Some of those guys are dragons.
Hunter: Their baby dragons. Big fan of your species by the way.
The beings growl in anger*
Raiden: Hold on. Before we start killing each other. Let's just talk for a minute.
Aether: Hmm? The last beings who came here weren't so keen to talk.
Spella: And they came out of a portal too.
Dagger: Were these beings red, bipedal, alien like, and had these cone shaped hats?
The beings nodded*
Raiden: Did they take your families too?
Spella: They did...
Raiden: I think there's been a misunderstanding. Let me tell you guys what's going on.
Poppy: Well somebody better!
Raiden: I'm Raiden. These are my friends and family. Our families were taken just like yours. Apparently, an evil robot named Nefarious wants to put them in some...Death Battle or something.
Aether: *gasps* He...does...how'd you find out?
Diesel: We had a...informant...
Aether: Ah...I'm Aether by the way. These are my siblings. My brothers; Flame, Icicle, Earth, and Lightning. And my sisters; Venom, Phobia, Whirlwind, and Shade. And our friends, Lamps, Shikari, Arrow, Fauna, Bamba, Jetpack, Lava, Ninja, Poppy, and Spella.
Raiden: Nice to meet you Aether.
Jetpack: Sorry about the attack. We've been getting a lot of weirdos out here.
Ray: it is alright. Say, our informant told us about a purple dragon. You wouldn't know to whom he was referring to?
Flame: Our dad was a purple dragon. Spyro was his name.
Icicle: Our mother was a black dragon named Cynder.
Gamma: We know all of our families are still alive but we must hurry.
Lightning: Well then there is no time to waste. Let's go. Which way did that robot go?
Marcus: We only know what his plans are not where he is. We were hoping we could get a few new allies.
Aether: Well you guys can count us in. Whatever we can do to help.
Raiden: We need this phase quartz to recharge. It only charges in moonlight so if we could spend the night...
Aether: As long as you guys are on our side, we're more than happy to help.
