Elizabeth Thatcher is an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician in Crystal Haven, having moved there from San Fransisco. She wanted a quieter life, and small town life. Nathan Grant is an emergency doctor who wants to get back to treating patients and away from the paperwork. Crystal Haven will allow him to be a hands on doctor, and see more of his family and maybe start his own.

Season 12 has ended and another poorly written one for Lucas Bouchard (IMO). My only goal is to write a story for Lucas with a happy ending. I didn't watch S12 but I did see some Lucas scenes. I have taken some of those ideas and incorporated them into this story. If you are interested in a story where Lucas gets a HEA this might be for you.

This story started as a one shot, in response to a fan fiction challenge from Suspenders Unbuttoned, following the Season 12 finale. It follows after the events of season 12's finale and shows what happens next after Nathan and Allie followed Elizabeth and Jack to Cape Fullerton and beyond. It explores the growing Grant/Thornton family as well as the growing Alliver romance.

This story follows on from the epilogue of Bringing Hope Back. The Grant Family return to Hope Valley for the summer, will they find peace and happiness they seek or will troubles from the past come back to haunt them. This will be a weekly posting for now. The main characters belong to Hallmark and Crown Media.
