LaCuevademisgustos: Anyone who takes a look at the reboot's insane episode is automatically immune. Before, it was a generic obstacle course, but then I thought about the foods that affect people the most. Dawn only eats vegetables, obviously she farts sometimes and doesn't mind (I don't know why I wrote this 💀). I enjoyed making this Amy; she's not a generic garbage, she has her reasons for being like that.
Dunsparce519: I was expecting some angry outbursts, but you really handled the nasty topic well. Canon Amy is so BAD that any fanfic that fleshes her out a bit and gives her more personality is a thousand times better. Poor you, do you like cute animals? Too bad you'll discover something bad about Dakota in this episode.
Remaining Contestants:
Mutant Maggots: Anne Maria, Jo, Lightning, Mike, Scott, Shawn, Zoey
Poison Frogs: Brick, Dakota, Dave, Dawn, Max, Sam, Scarlett, Sky, Topher
Toxic Rats: Cameron, Ella, Jasmine, Sammy
"Last time on Total Drama Island..." Chris narrated as scenes from the previous episode were shown, "The obstacle course in our challenge was outrageously disgusting for our competitors, as the irradiated food included various effects such as acne, tears, and even a toot festival accompanied by nasty beans. The Frogs' atmosphere was filled with drama, as Dakota showed her pshyco side, and Dawn her more moralistic and disgusting side. However, in the end, the chopping block was with the Rats again, eliminating their leader Amy, who finally accepted her sister Sammy and her female crush."
The scene cuts back to Chris, standing on the dock, "Will the Frogs' atmosphere calm down again? Can Sammy survive with her bossy twin gone? All those questions will be answered, and here now, on Total...Drama...Island!"
(Theme Song plays)
In the Mess Hall, the losing teams from the previous challenge were each having breakfast at their own tables, or so they were because the food wasn't the best, although that was saying something.
"Ugh, the food still tastes bad" Dave said, looking at his porridge with distaste. "And after yesterday, I don't have that much of an appetite"
"I think it tastes good, if you get used to it," Sam said as he ate his food with more dedication. "At least you can have breakfast peacefully without getting dizzy every day in a moving house"
"It still tastes bad, though."
"You shouldn't complain about things like that," Scarlett told them both. "We should be thankful in this time, we haven't lost a team yet."
"Maybe we shouldn't say that out loud..." Sky suggested, worried about 'superstitions'.
"YES, we're still the champions of the game!" Max said, standing up and looking at them to the other table where the Rats were sitting, "Hey, whiskers faces, there are only four of you and nine of us, give up once before..."- He choked as a pile of porridge was thrown into his mouth, courtesy of Jasmine.
"You handled the situation well" Sammy congratulated her
"No problem" the Aussie replied with a smile.
At that moment, Topher walked in, slightly soaked but for some reason shirtless, with a towel draped over his shoulder. This made all the girls notice him, almost all of them.
"Why is everyone staring at him?" Sammy asked, a little bit incredulously.
Ella sighed as she looked at the boy, "I didn't know farm boys were so hardworking."
"Good morning, team," Topher greeted the Frogs, "I just took a shower, I need to get ready for the next challenge, just look at us! We have more members than anyone here, with each of us, we'll easily win."
Confessional (Dave):
"That's the weakest speech I've ever heard," he said, unimpressed, crossing his arms.
End of the Confessional
"Look, they're all inspired" Cameron said, looking at the opposing team. "How can we possibly be inspired if there are only four of us?"
"Don't worry, Cam" Ella comforted him. "It may just be you, Jasmine, Sammy, and me now, but don't lose hope in your spirit."
"Oh, if only Amy were here," Sammy sighed sadly. Jasmine looked at her and coughed to get her attention.
"What would she say?" she asked.
Sammy thought about it until she suddenly stood up in her chair. "Stop whining! Is that why you came here? To wipe your tears with the enemy's napkins?!". She glared at Cameron, who gulped. "Now, with that understood, raise your hopes before I do it by force...do I sound like her?" she whispered to Jasmine.
The Aussie chuckled, "Like she's standing right next to me". Both girls smiled and chuckled, which Shawn saw from the window.
Confessional (Shawn):
"First of all, I want to clarify that I'm not a stalker" he said with some concern. "I-I just wanted to find out what her relationship was like, if they're 'more than friends'... not that I have anything against it, but I fell in love with Jasmine first, so... yeah, I'm not jealous or anything."
End of the Confessional
All the competitors were now on the beach, where Chris was waiting for them. Here some CHANGES in the outfits, Jasmine's now wearing a orange blouse and white jeans, and Dakota's wearing her same outfit, just that not wearing her hot pink jacket, showing her pinky-grey sleevelees blouse.
"Welcome to today's challenge, dear teens" Chris greeted with a smile. "First of all, I'd like to ask, were you ever a scout?"
"He call you, dude..." Lightning said to Scott, who looked at him in disbelief.
"It's 'scout,' silly" he replied.
"The question should be 'Are you a Scout?'" Topher said. "Because Scouts are permanent as long as they keep their promise from their naming ceremony."
"So you're a Scout?" Sky asked.
"My family wanted me to socialize with the other kids off the farm. In fact, I was a captain, I didn't leave a single fellow Scout behind during my watch."
"Wow, that's so honorable!" Sky looked at him, impressed, while Dave just rolled his eyes.
"Amy wasn't that nice a captain back in our kid's days" Sammy said.
"Are you a Scout too?" Jasmine asked.
"Yeah, and you?"
"It would be great... if they'd let me when I was a kid."
"That would have been a good hobby when I was a kid, too," Zoey said before shuddering. "If it didn't involve working with dirt."
"Relax, I wasn't a Scout when I was kid either," Mike said comfortingly.
"Were you scared of the dirt, too?"
"The truth is...yeah, I don't like it."
Confessional (Mike):
"I don't want to talk or remember the incident in 2019."
End of the Confessional
"Okay, that's enough childhood talk!" Chris spoke up to silence them. "I only asked that because that's what the challenge was about. Today, you'll all be scouts for a day, and every scout needs a ribbon"
Chef went around the crowd, giving each of them a cloth ribbon, which they placed between their hip and shoulder.
"Shall we play scout? That's great..." Cameron said, before asking, "What scouts do?"
"Scouts are people or children who demonstrate their worth and honor by doing activities that not only benefit the community but also help them get new skills; that's why the place to do this will be something truly challenging. Nearby is the most dangerous island in Muskoka, called... Boney Island!"
Just as he said that, a bolt of lightning struck the skies, startling some campers.
"A dangerous island?" Sam said, raising his camera, "AWESOME! When are we going?"
"Everything in its own time. Each challenge will be a skill you'll learn, if you haven't already, and each skill earned will be rewarded with this...". The host held up a circular piece of thick cloth. "A badge. The team that wins each round will be given this. Whoever scores the most at the end of the day wins."
"Oh, and where do we put them?" Cameron asked anxiously.
"On your ribbon, of course. Now, the first challenge and the first skill you'll learn will be canoeing to Boney Island. It's just to the southeast. The first team to get there wins the badge. That means the challenge starts...now!"
When they honked their horn, everyone ran to where the canoes were located, each one was a team color and split up, with a few arguments.
"Please, Mike, I don't want to tip over and fall into that water with thousands of bacteria!" Zoey asked Mike, pulling him by the arm, something someone else was doing.
"Come with me! I don't want a shark to come and eat me. I'm too hot to die!" Anne Maria asked, also pulling him by the arm.
Mike was in the middle, stressed out by the two girls pulling him together.
Confessional (Mike):
"Mom said I'd be big and strong someday, and that all the girls wanted to date with me... I guess it's not all I could imagine."
End of the Confessional
"Are you sure we're not going to fall into this?" Cameron asked his team, adjusting her life jacket before looking fearfully at the canoe.
"No need to worry" Ella told her. "I'll come with you if you want."
"I guess we can go together, right? Sheila?" Sammy asked, using slang at the end of her sentence, which made Jasmine giggle.
"I guess so, just let me..." Jasmine was about to lift the canoe until someone she disliked approached.
"Hey, Jasmine" Shawn greeted, a little nervous, "Uh, are you fine?"
"Of course I'm fine, and I'm still here for your information, liar!" she replied angrily.
Shawn's eyes widened. "Liar? Me? I didn't lie to you. I really wanted to know if you were fine"
"You're saying that after putting that speaker in our base, almost getting me booted for it!"
"Wait, he did what?" Sammy looked at Shawn, then grabbed an oar just in case, "He set that trap for us?"
"Woah, woah, of course not! I never did that! You have to believe me!"
"And how am I supposed to believe you? Who goes around talking to their opponent in the middle of a challenge just for the hell of it?"
"Well, I was in love with you and..." Shawn covered his mouth, but it was too late.
Jasmine's eyes widened as she blushed. Sammy was so shocked that she dropped her oar, "You're...in love with me?"
"Oh God, well, no, but I..."
"Yes, he is!" Ella said as she pushed the canoe with Cameron into the water, "Hos whole being glows around you..."
"J-Jasmine, I-I..."
"I forgive you" the Aussie replied.
The conspirator looked perplexed, "W-what?"
"I forgive you for what you did. You don't have to be afraid of me anymore."
"Afraid? Pfft, of course not. I just wanted to clear things up for you...". He scratched the back of his neck, uncomfortable. "Anyway, good luck with the challenge..."
"Hurry up, lunatic!" Scott called, waiting for him in the canoe, who eventually goes with him.
Confessional (Shawn):
"I know I think of 'unlikely' things, and I've been telling others the undead exist... but that was the most embarrassing moment of my entire life"
Confessional (Jasmine):
"He's probably lying, but what if he said it himself and he's embarrassed about having a crush on me?" She sighed, somewhat flattered. "I think he's the first admirer whose praise actually blows my mind."
Confessional (Sammy):
"That was pretty awkward. I understand Jasmine might like me. It's normal to like boys... but why would she likes someone who looks like he haven't showered in weeks?"
End of the Confessionals
Soon, all the teams were divided into their respective canoes, some even forming threesomes. They waited near the shore, listening for the host's call.
"On your marks, get set..." Chris fired the pistol into the sky, signaling all the contestants to start rowing toward Boney Island. The host was about to leave until he saw a seagull fall from the sky. He looked nervously at the camera, "That was a fake bird... Hatched, block my email, animal rights activists comming!"
Out at sea, the contestants rowed as fast as they could to stay ahead of each other on the course. However, some were behind, thanks to someone.
"Anne Maria, stop sunbathing and start rowing!" Zoey asked as she and Mike paddled the canoe, where she was in front, clearly lying on Mike's lap, much to the athlete's discomfort.
"I really don't want to waste this opportunity, Red" the country girl excused herself. "Besides, other canoes go faster with two paddlers."
"Yeah, but your extra weight is holding us back..." Mike explained, just as she stood up and glared at him.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?! ARE YOU CALLING ME...?"
"Bye bye, losers!" Max mocked as she and Scarlett paddled past them, just as water splashed towards them, soaking them.
"AH, EW!" Zoey squealed, looking at the water rushing over her. "This water is should full of germs or bacteria! Mike, help me!"
"No, help me!" Anne said, using her shirt to dry her face. "Those idiots got me all soaked. They'll see when I catch up to them...". However, when she revealed her face to the two of them, they grimaced together, "Wait, what the heck..."
The country girl looked at her reflection in the ocean. She could see through the blue hue of the water that her FAKE tan was smeared, and the whiter parts of her skin looked messy. She clearly squealed in fright when she saw herself.
"You used fake tan?" Zoey asked, equally surprised.
"That explains the cheddar color..." Mike said, not meaning to be funny.
"OF COURSE, you can't get a tan like that where I live, so I asked Daddy to get me a spray bottle" Anne spoke quickly, clearly not calm. "Now I look hideous, someone help me!"
Her cry for help was heard by someone up ahead, specifically Topher, who, seeing her from a distance, butted Dave's head with his paddle. Dave was in the same canoe.
"HEY!" he exclaimed, clearly angry, and then surprised when the country boy started paddling in reverse. "What do you think you're doing?"
Ignoring him, Topher managed to get close to the opposing team's canoe. "Is there a problem, ladies?" he asked politely.
"My tan's smeared. I look horrible!" Anne explained between sobs, like a little girl.
"I see. I think I have something that might fix that...". He pulled a can of paint from his pocket "Here, we used it to paint the barn". He passed the can to her.
"Does this work for the skin?"
"I don't know, but I'm sure it won't damage your pretty face."
The country girl blushed and chuckled at the country boy, who winked at her in reply.
"Well, if you need help, call me...". He started paddling the right way again, with Dave glaring at him.
"That guy is a real gentleman!" Anne Maria said, spraying herself with the can of paint.
"Not only that, he's also very handsome" Zoey added, to Mike's surprise. He just grimaced, looking away so she wouldn't see him, as they continued paddling.
Confessional (Mike):
"Listen, I'm not one to get jealous like that," he explained. "What's up with this Topher guy? He's on the other team, there must be a reason he's helping us... I don't think it's sportsmanship."
End of the Confessional
Those ahead began to notice a fog emerging right up ahead.
"Ah, the clouds are falling from the sky!" Cameron said worriedly.
"Oh, don't worry, it's just fog," Ella explained. "Cold, scary fog."
"And where there's fog, there's something incredible behind it" Sam thought aloud. "I need a picture of that..."- So, he started paddling super fast, while Dakota, who was with him, held onto the sides to keep from falling.
"We have to go faster!" The two Rat members tried to follow and catch up them.
Then, the Frogs' canoe reached the shore of Boney Island first, which had a terrifying atmosphere and look, especially the skull-shaped mountain at the top. Sam quickly got out of the canoe to take a quick photo in four directions. He checked each one on her camera until she saw one that featured Dakota. When she saw her face, she was angry and distraught.
"Sorry..." the tourist apologized before looking around, "Wow, I wonder if this island has a souvenir shop?"
When the Rats' canoe reached the shore, Ella stepped onto the sand and shuddered in fear.
"What's wrong?" Cameron asked her.
"It's the island" she replied. "I sense a strong aura of weeds and danger around here. I'm sure anyone who steals anything from here will be cursed for all eternity."
Just then, Sam was about to put a small tiki statue he found to his backpack, but upon hearing what Ella said, he thought twice. "Better not bring any souvenirs..." he said, putting the statue back in its place.
Just then, when Jasmine and Sammy reached the shore, a helicopter appeared in the air. Chris was piloting it alongside Chef, the latter dressed as a scout leader with sunglasses.
"The Rats have won the first challenge and the canoe badge!" Chris announced from the sky.
"Wait a minute, we're arrive first here!" Dakota protested.
"I said first TEAM to arrive wins, didn't I?"
Later, the rest had arrived on the island. Hatched was now handing the four members of the Rats a canoe badge, which they pinned to their ribbons.
"Wow, I learned to paddle!" Cameron said, amazed by his first badge.
"Believe me, there are more of these you can get" Sammy told him, being the only real scout of the team.
As the newcomers were moving their canoes, Topher, who was doing so, was surprised by part of his team approaching him.
"Dave told us you were late just to help the other team" Scarlett said, somewhat annoyed.
"Hey, that's called Scout spirit," Topher explained. "Just because we're enemies doesn't mean we shouldn't help each other."
"Not when you're saboting us" Dave said somewhat mockingly.
"Shut up, Dave," Sky told him. "Topher's just trying to be nice."
"That's true, good sportsmanship depends on that," Brick added. "Let's not judge him for doing the right thing."
Scarlett rolled her eyes. "Fine, but let this be the last time it affects us."
Confessional (Scarlett):
"If there's one thing I hate, it's saturated fats and treacherous people."
End of the Confessional
"Okay, young scouts" Chris said, "Your second challenge to earn another badge will be to enter the treacherous Boney Island forest and find the halfway point marked by a yellow flag. To make it a little more challenging, you'll have to bring your canoes with you."
"That doesn't sound so bad in a group," Jo said. She and Lightning lifted their own canoe along with the rest of the team.
"Be less polite this tim," Scarlett instructed Topher just before the call went off, and they all ran off with their canoes into the forest.
The forest was just as treacherous as the outside of the island, but that didn't stop the teams. Due to their similar appearance, they split up for different reasons, like the Rats, who took a path away from the other two teams.
At that moment, as the Frogs tried to catch up with the Maggots, one of them, Brick, stopped when he saw something that disturbed him.
"STOP!" He spoke loudly, causing his teammates to stop.
"Now what?!" Scarlett asked impatiently.
"Look at those footprints...". On the ground where they were standing, the print marks were those of large, sharp claws. "Don't you think they're bears ones?"
Dakota's eyes widened in terror. "BEARS?!". She looked around in dismay, leaving Sam to carry the weight of the canoe alone. He obviously couldn't hold it and it collapsed with him.
"Bears live in any forest, duh" Scarlett said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "It shouldn't be strange."
"So it's not strange that bears do that?" Sky pointed to large bite marks on trees, trunks, and bushes, as if a dinosaur had done it. This worried most of them.
"This place must have huge beasts" Dave said fearfully.
"They don't eat the little people, right?" Max also asked fearfully.
"Oh, please" Scarlett mocked. "There's no need to worry about stupid..."- At that moment, terrifying creatures emerged from the bushes. They looked like giant beavers with large, sharp fangs. "...b-beavers?"
"THEY'RE MONSTROUS BEAVERS!" Brick shouted as the entire team ran scared, with the large creatures chasing them.
Confessional (Chris):
"The prehistoric woolly beaver has been inhabiting Boney Island for thousands of years," the host scientifically explained to his audience. "Fun fact, they are extremely carnivorous."
End of the Confessional
The Frogs ran all over the forest, mostly to avoid being caught by the large beavers.
"Does anyone have an idea for getting rid of these furry ones?" Sky asked.
"I think they could be friendly if we just stopped running!" suggested Dawn, who was hanging in the middle of the canoe because she was too small to run with it.
"Do you want them to kill us?" Dave asked sarcastically. "Those things look like carnivores. They don't eat salads!"
"Wait, carnivores? I think I have something for them..." Sam rummaged through his backpack and pulled out a package of what looked like BBQ chips. "I wanted to save this for you, but since the situation calls for it..."
"DROP IT FOR ONCE!"
When he droped the chips on the ground, the beavers stopped and fought over them. Dawn watched with disgust.
"We shouldn't have been feeding them those processed chips" she told to the others.
Scarlett glared at her, "Oh, shut up. This is the natural cycle of life. We're the ones who need saving..."
Then, the team seemed to emerge from the woods when they reached a clearing and stopped when they saw the flag near them.
"We won!" Brick encouraged.
"No, you didn't" Chris told them, walking beside him. "Looks like you lost a country boy with an awesome hairdo"
Everyone realized at that moment that Topher wasn't with them.
"Now I-I know why this c-canoe was so h-heavy..." Dave said angrily, before collapsing to the ground with the heavy canoe.
Meanwhile, in the woods, Anne Maria and Zoey could be seen walking, while behind them, Mike carried the canoe alone.
"I think we've lost our team" Anne said.
"It's because you left me with this heavy canoe all by myself" Mike replied, doing his best to hold it.
"Sorry, my hands were really tired after paddling," Zoey said.
"And I don't want my tan to fade again" Anne said. At that moment, the three stopped when they noticed a bush shaking violently.
"Ah, it's a hideous monster!" Zoey backed away in fear.
"Oh, typical city dorks" Anne mocked to the redhead. "There are always foxes in the valley trying to eat the chickens. It's easy to scare them away by simply throwing rocks at them...". The country girl picked up a rock and threw it at the bush, shaking her hands afterward. "Problem solved..."
Suddenly, a wild beaver emerged from the bush, roaring, making the three members of the Maggots scream for their lives.
(Commercial Break)
It all seemed to be the end of the three of them, until Topher suddenly appeared out of nowhere, holding a branch. He used it to intimidate the woolly beaver, but then he started to move it and then threw it far away. The creature chased it like a dog, leaving the four of them safe.
"Wow, that was very brave!" Anne Maria said in amazement.
"I just wanted to help you" he replied politely. "You should have an animal trainer on your team."
"Shouldn't you be with your team?" Zoey asked.
"I just took a little detour, they won't notice I'm gone...". So Topher ran straight to rejoin his team.
"Hey, why didn't you do anything, toothpick?" Anne asked directly to Mike. "That handsome, brave boy saved us, and you just stood there!"
"I was...holding...the canoe!" Mike said, before collapsing with the canoe on top of him.
"What an excuse. I'm sure you're jealous that he has more muscles than you."
"Yeah..." Zoey said, thinking, "For an athlete training for the Olympics, it seems a little strange that you don't have any."
Confessional (Mike):
"Just to be clear, I do have muscles," he said, "I just don't show them, for fear that he'll...appears"
End of the Confessional
So the three Maggots were out of danger and were able to reach the waypoint where the rest of their team was, along with almost the entire Frog team waiting.
"It's about time you got here" Jo told them.
"The Maggots win this challenge and the badges" Chris informed them, when Hatched arrived to give the badges to the team for forestry orienteering. At that moment, Topher arrived, and part of his team wasn't happy with him.
"AHEM!" Scarlett coughed to get attention, glaring at him, "Can you tell us where you hid?"
Before he could answer, screams came from deep within the woods. The four members of Team Rat reached the landmark, panting in concern.
"There were some huge beaver-like creatures!" Sammy said.
"Yeah, that's why almost no one comes to Boney Island," Chris said. "Its wilderness is full of large, wild beasts that can't be tamed."
"But maybe they can..." Dawn suggested.
"Uh, no, it's a scientific fact."
"Did you hear?" Scarlett said to her, "Now stop talking pacifist nonsense."
"Actually, the local wildlife is closely related to the next challenge," Chris informed her, pointing to a rocky mound in the middle of the hill. "To earn your climbing badge, you'll basically have to climb this rocky natural structure, where creatures more dangerous than woolly beavers live at the top: wild geese!"
At the top of the mountain, there was a nest inhabited by several large, wild geese, with sharp teeth protruding from their beaks, honking fiercely. There were also two test dummies in the middle of the nest.
"There, you'll have to rescue one of them, or better yet, one of our interns who got trapped..."
"HELP!" Ezekiel yelled, trapped in the nest, before one of the geese pecked at his head, dragging him down again.
"Any team that rescues any of them first will earn the badge" Chris said. "Now, go for climb!". When the horn sounded, it alarmed the geese so much that some started flying around the mountain in defense. "Oops, I think I overdid it a little..."
"Come on, team, let's rescue those dolls and that intern!" Brick encouraged, running to start climbing the mountain with Scarlett. The Maggots also followed, with Lightning being the climber. Surprisingly, he climbed faster than them and snatched them away.
"See you there!" he mocked as he continued climbing, before one of the geese descended onto his perch and started pecking at him. "Ow! You stupid sha-bird! Ow! Team, help me with this!"
"You asked for it!" Scott said from below, before picking up a rock and throwing it at the bird. Clearly, the angry goose called on its other flock to attack the contestants below, who began to run for their lives.
Confessional (Scott):
"Yeah, very stupid of me, but as long as they don't attack me, everything will be fine."
End of the Confessional
"They're attacking us!" Cameron spoke, along with his team, who were crouching to avoid the birds.
"Cover me while I go up!" Sammy told them, before taking the opportunity to climb before the other birds came for her.
Lightning took the opportunity of the goose attack to get closer to the top. Just then, she saw some smaller geese peeking out, staring at the athlete.
"Hey, little ones!" he said mockingly, "Make way, your mommy's not home, so I can come in...". What he didn't expect was for one of the chicks to grab a rock in its mouth and throw it right in his face. "AH!"
So Lightning ended up falling, taking Brick and Sammy with him as he landed below, all three groaned in pain. Luckily, Scarlett had dodged him and continued climbing until one of the birds grabbed her pants by its beak.
"HEY, let me go!" she exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Mike followed Zoey and Anne for cover until one of the geese landed in front of them.
"Back off, I've got this!" Mike said as he stepped forward, acting brave before the bird pecked him like a nail, leaving him pinned and sunk to the ground. "I'm okay..." he groaned in pain.
It squawked fiercely, scaring the two girls, who hugged each other in fear, until Topher appeared and, in a swift movement, grabbed his striped jacket and tied it around the bird's beak, preventing it from opening.
"You can't peck anymore, huh?" he mockingly said to the animal, "Now go!". The bird, unable to put up a fight, flew back to its nest to untie its beak.
"Oh, you saved us!" Zoey told him.
"We're so grateful!" Anne hugged him affectionately.
Topher just smiled. "Remember, it's just my duty...". As Mike got up from the ground, he stared at Topher suspiciously.
Just at that moment, all the attacking geese flew back to their nest, including the one holding Scarlett, dropping her down with the rest that tried to climb out.
"What are those birds doing now?" Scott asked.
Some didn't notice, but they could see Dawn at the top, sitting on the edge of the nest, while the birds wildly cornered her.
"How did she get there?" Brick asked, confused.
"Dawn, be careful with them!" Sky warned.
"Their souls don't seem to be cooperating!" Ella added, also worried about the pacifist.
At that, Dawn took the beak of one of the geese and stroked it gently. "You shouldn't sense danger, isn't?". She spoke to the birds, or so it seemed. "I'm that harmless to you, and that's how we should act..."
To everyone's surprise, the wild birds responded serenely, brushing their beaks against Dawn's hair, which made her giggle at the tickling. Then she noticed Ezekiel, the intern, hidding into the nest.
"Come on, my friend. You're safe too" she said kindly, inviting him to take her hand. He responded in surprise.
"Wow, a girl saved my life, huh?" he said, then realized what he'd said and shuddered. "Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you."
Dawn just giggled. "You didn't. I shouldn't blame someone who's unaware of their surroundings..."
Then everyone watched as Ezekiel fell straight off the summit, landing heavily on the ground and in some pain. And then they saw Dawn fall, using her parachute skirt to land softly on the ground.
"The Frogs got the climbing badge!" Chris reported, as the team received their badges.
"Hey..." Sam spoke up, "But not all of us have climbed the...". He groaned in pain as Scarlett smacked him in the head.
"Shut up..." she whispered, so as not to get lost.
"Thanks again for saving me" Ezekiel said to Dawn as he stood up. "Girls don't usually think I'm good after all. They think I'm weird and rude, uh."
"Don't get discouraged," she consoled him, patting him on the shoulder. "Sooner or later, people will accept you with your differences". They both exchanged a friendly, warm smile, as if it were a sign of friendship.
Just then, as Topher was fixing his hair, he was greeted by an angry Scarlett, along with Sky and Brick.
"Now you're going to tell us why you're helping those maggots" she ordered, "I don't think it's sportsmanship like you say anymore..."
Topher then sighed, "Okay, I admit it..."
"You admit you're purposely sabotaging us?" Dave tried to guess, joining the conversation.
"What? No, that's not my strategy, listen. I'm trying to distract the opposing team with... my charms, so that when they let their guard down, we'll take advantage of this, simple as that."
"That was your idea?"
"That sounds very mean" Sky said.
"And dishonest," Brick added. "I say..."
"If that gives us an advantage, then let's not argue about it" Scarlett said, as if everyone was in agreement.
"Uh... yeah, maybe we should do that."
Confessional (Topher):
"I knew it would work. Did you think I was just a pretty face?" He smiled at the camera. "My strategy will show my team that I'm the most valuable of them. If we lose, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't booted me out."
End of the Confessional
"Okay, scouts," Chris spoke to the contestants. "Now you're tied for one badge, but there's more to learn about being a scout...run setup!"
The next challenge involved knot tying. Two contestants would each position themselves on a small cliff next to each other, then rig a rope and tie it at each end. Thus, a member of his team would test if it was functional.
First it was Scott from the Maggots. He jumped and grabbed the rope. It took no more than two seconds before the rope unraveled under his weight and he fell down, landing face-first in a mud puddle. Next came Brick from the Frogs. Sam had tied one of the knots holding it, so when he saw the cheerleader about to jump, he untied the knot and it came undone, ending with Brick falling into the mud with nothing to hold on to.
Finally, it was Cameron from the Rats' turn. He was feeling nervous but jumped anyway. Luckily for him, the rope was securely tied and he held on for over ten seconds. That gave Team Rat the knot-tying badge.
The next challenge involved building a shelter for the coming rain. The Maggots were making one out of large leaves and branches, but Lightning noticed a mistake.
"This looks crooked. I'll fix it..." he placed a leaf in a direction that seemed 'correct' for him. The Rats made a shelter out of only branches, and the Frogs tried to imitate their idea until Sky arrived with a rock stained with something yellow.
"Guys, I just found some tree sap. I think it might make good glue" she said, placing another rock on top of the one with the sap. It was stuck really well and was hard to get off.
"That looks really sticky. I don't want that touching my hair..." Topher said, disgusted, before going back to the current. "I mean, good plan, Sky, let's use it..."
After a while, the three teams had their makeshift shelters ready. The Maggots' shelter collapsed suddenly, just as it started to rain and soaked everyone.
"They were supposed to be all tight" Jo said.
"Oh, man, that's strange..." Lightning said, embarrassed without telling the truth.
The Rats' shelter was holding up well despite the rain, however, the cold took its toll when Cameron unexpectedly sneezed loudly, causing all the branches to collapse and leaving them exposed to the rain.
The only ones who were dry were the Frog team, whose shelter made of rocks glued together with sap managed to be sturdy, as did the leaves they used as a roof. Even so, one of them snuck out to cover the wetness of the opposing team.
It was clearly Topher holding an umbrella over Anne Maria and Zoey, who looked pleased with his "chivalry"- Mike stood to the side, getting wet and glaring at Topher.
"Hey, who took my umbrella?" asked Sam, who was now checking his backpack. Finally, the Frog team received their shelter-building badge.
The next challenge was to build a campfire big enough to create a distress signal. Teams looked for twigs or leaves to use as fuel, while others tried to light the fire. However, one of them tried to cheat.
"Pss, Sam," Dakota said quietly, "Do you have a lighter in your backpack?"
"But wouldn't that be cheating?" Sam asked doubtfully.
The blonde sighed, "Well, I guess sometimes friends don't help each other..."
"Here" he showed her the lighter.
"Aww, thanks, my friend!"
But just as Dakota was about to light the fire, Chef grabbed her and confiscated her lighter. "No artificial fire, young lady!" he scolded her. "Your team is disqualified!". The Frogs groaned in frustration.
Meanwhile, the other two teams managed to light their campfire naturally, and were now competing to see who could make it the biggest.
"We need some incinerating chemicals!" Jo said, desperate to beat the other team. Then she saw Anne Maria spraying herself with hairspray instead of helping, then the genius snatched the can out of her hands.
"Hey, that's mine!" Anne exclaimed angrily.
"Back off, everyone!" Jo called for the others to back off. "This is going to be powerful...". Just like that, she threw the can of spray can into the campfire, and the resulting chemical caused the fire to fly up to the trees, thus winning the challenge and the campfire-building badge.
Later, the three teams were in a more secluded part of the forest.
"Okay, I see the three teams are tied again" the host said. "Congratulations on your hard work! However, we need to find a way to break the tie, and I have one last challenge to do that. Please, I need a volunteer from each team."
"I'll always be up for any activity" Brick said as he stepped forward.
"Me too. I want another badge!" Cameron said, joining him.
"Come in, fluffy hair" Jo said as she pushed Anne Maria forward, "We need you to at least help out with something"
"FINE, don't push me if you mind" she replied, glaring at her.
"You three" Chris said to the volunteers, "Please walk down this path, and don't stop until you see something to stop you."
Despite the strange request, the three of them walked down the path they were on, continuing until they felt something stop them.
"Please don't tell me it's an animal on my leg" Anne said, trembling in fear.
Cameron looked down. "No, it's just the ground consuming us..." he replied, before widening his eyes in panic. "WHAT?!"
"Quicksand!" Brick exclaimed as he saw the three of them slowly sinking in the large pool of quicksand they'd entered.
"Yeah, quicksand" Chris said, standing on the shore. "I put it there myself, though I didn't think you'd fall unconscious."
"Chris, do something!" said Sky, who, along with the others, was approaching the stage.
"Relax, this is basically your final challenge. To get your rescue badge, you must pull your teammate out of the sand that's slowly consuming them. Whoever makes the first rescue wins. The last one goes to elimination, if they can get out at all..."
"Just start the challenge already!" Mike told him.
"Okay, gee, let's not be so dramatic..." Chris honked his horn.
"Girls, help me!" Cameron exclaimed as he tried his best to climb out of the sinking sand.
"OH MY GOD!" Ella exclaimed, realizing that he was in danger, "Hold on, I'm coming..."
"Ella, wait..." Jasmine tried to warn her, but it was too late. The geeky girl accidentally stepped into the sand and began to sink, just like the farmer.
"Oh, sparks..."
"What do we do?"
Sammy looked at some vines lying on the ground and had a thought, "We have the knot-tying badge, let's make a rope!". The two of them began working together to tie the vine with others.
Meanwhile, Mike tried to pull Anne Maria out, pulling her with his arms, but he couldn't, and he stumbled backward.
"The sand is too strong, I can't get her out!" he said, scratching his head in pain.
"It's the end for me!" Anne exclaimed, feeling doom. "Tell Mom she's got my entire earring collection!"
"You shouldn't be afraid, miss!" Topher spoke, performing an acrobatic jump toward a rock near the sand. "I'll pull you out!"
"Wait a minute, she's on the other team!" Scarlett told him.
"Yeah, what's this all about?" Jo asked, confused and puzzled.
"No problem, Brick, give me your hand!" The cheerleader reached for Topher's hand, and he reached for Anne Maria's. "I'll pull you both out at the same time, so it'll be a tie."
"Can you do that?" Sky asked, impressed.
"Absolutely..." he replied before he began to pull the two of them forcefully, and it seemed their hips were slowly lifting off the sand.
"Oh, you're quite the heroic knight!" Anne told him, her eyes shining.
"I am. Nothing can stop me from saving you...". Suddenly, out of nowhere, something splashed hard against Topher's head, knocking him backward. He groaned and scratched his head, before feeling something sticky, "What the...?"
He gasped as he discovered his once neatly combed hair was now covered in a sticky yellow substance, "EWWW, WHAT IS THIS THING?!" He stood up and tried to clean up the mess, but ended up sticking his hands together like this, "NO, NO NO, GET THIS THING OFF OF MY BEAUTIFUL HAIR!"
"What are you doing? SAVE ME!" Anne Maria exclaimed at him, but Topher had his hands glued to his head, and he was completely freaked out, "Oh, you're such a faker coward!"
Confessional (Anne Maria):
"I'd actually do the same thing if I were in his shoes, but still..."
Confessional (Dave):
"I knew he was a faker. I mean, I wasn't jealous or anything. I clearly knew he was hiding a weakness..."
End of the Confessionals
"Team, help!" Brick exclaimed. "This sand is filling me up to my underwear!"
"Sam, don't you have anything that can get Brick out?" Sky asked the tourist, who quickly checked his backpack.
"Unfortunately, I don't" he replied. "I feel like it should be here, but it's not here!"
"If only there was something that could save them!" Zoey said, worried, as she watched the people in the sand sink by the neck.
At that moment, Mike noticed some vines hanging from the trees above. A great idea came to him. "That's it!". He started to climb a tree, but it was so tall that he didn't have enough energy to climb it now. "No! Ugh, damn, there's no way I'll make it to the top..."
Suddenly he gasped, and her feminine 'Russian' voice from the previous challenge returned, "But Svetlana's always at the top of the podium!". So, 'she' climbed and in a twist, leaped gracefully toward the vines, grabbed one, and began to descend with it. A sway occurred as she reached the right, then swung to the left, and managed to grab Anne Maria's hand, managing to pull her out of the sand. "Svetlana always triumphs...". Just before they both collided with a tree and fell to the ground.
All the other Maggots arrived at Anne, who was now sitting on 'Mike's' lap.
"OH THANK YOU SO MUCH, BABE!" she said, giving him a kiss on the cheek, which made him open his eyes.
"W-what happened?" he asked, now in his normal voice.
"What happens is you've earned this special badge, dude!" Chris told him, pinning a rescue ribbon on his headband. "Thanks to your bravery, determination, and incredible gymnastics skills, your team won today!". The Maggots cheered at this.
"Uh, I didn't do that..."
"What do you mean?"
"Uh, I mean, yay, we won!"
Meanwhile, Jasmine and Sammy had finished tying the rope from the vines and passed it to Cameron, who, holding onto Ella, left the sand safe and sound.
"We're saved thanks to our spotter upstairs" Ella said, relieved.
"And us!" Jasmine said, bumping fists with Sammy, "That was a good knot you tied."
"Oh, you did a good job too, Jas" the military student replied.
At that, Sky approached them. "Can we borrow the rope for a moment?". Immediately following their lead, the Frog team used the rope to pull Brick out of the sand, who barely escaped. He gasped deeply.
"It's true that your life flashes before your eyes before you die..." he said, hyperventilating. "I'm not going to lie about my urinary problems anymore..."
"What does that have to do with anything?" Dave replied, puzzled.
"Nothing, really" Chris said, walking toward them. "What's certain is that I'll finally see you tonight at your first elimination ceremony."
At that moment, Dakota arrived, holding a rope. "Sorry, what did I miss?" she asked. "I wandered off to see if I could find something useful like this rope."
"Wait, that was the same rope I packed!" Sam pointed at the object the blonde was carrying. "How did it get out?"
"I don't know, but I hope my coming out to help wasn't in vain. I think I see young McArthur safe..."
"Yeah, no thanks to him..." Scarlett pointed at Topher, who was still trying to get the sap out of his hair.
"I think I have a trick for getting rid of that..." Sky said. "Not a very good one."
The Poison Frogs' first elimination ceremony wasn't so pleasant for them, especially for Topher, who had gotten rid of all the sap in his hair, but at the price of shaving off his large cowlick and leaving him with flat hair.
"It's really the least I could do..." Sky told her, somewhat consolingly.
"You managed to spend over a week here without losing a single member" Chris told them, holding a tray full of marshmallows. "Too bad that's going to end tonight. Since you've never been here, I'll explain. Every person who makes it to safety will get a marshmallow, but only one person will be left without it. That person must walk down the dock and take the Boat of Losers, and couldn't never be able to return, EVER!"
"The other teams have told us about it" Dave said.
"But I explained it better. Anyway, listen carefully. The first marshmallow goes to... Sky."
The drama student happily caught the treat and was about to eat it, but until she noticed Scarlett's gaze and her prominent bulge, she didn't.
"Brick, Sam, and Dakota!" The three of them received the candy, and Sam ate it without further ado.
"Next up, Dawn, Max, and Dave!" All three of them received one; the only ones who hadn't received anything yet were Scarlett and Topher.
"Campers, this is the last marshmallow of the night..."
Topher looked on nervously, while Scarlett frowned, surprised to find herself on the cutting board.

"Topher, my boy... I'm sorry, but Scarlett gets this!". The country boy lowered his smile as the last marshmallow was handed to the redheaded athlete, who smirked.
"I'm so sorry, buddy" Brick told him.
"You better find some less naive girls" Dave mocked, much to Sky's annoyance.
Topher just hung his head in sadness as he walked down the dock and set sail on the Boat of Losers.
Confessional (Sky):
"I really didn't want to vote for Topher" she admitted. "But Scarlett told me I owed her the vote. I'll have to listen to her, at least until I lose the weight...". She poked her small belly.
Confessional (Scarlett):
"Even if Topher didn't screw up like he did, he could be a threat to my future game" she explained, holding her marshmallow. "Sometimes kicking those kinds of people off your team is like eating this. It's not healthy, but it's really sweet in the end...". She took a bite of her marshmallow. It was the first time she'd ever eaten something with sugar in it.
Confessional (Dakota):
"I can't believe Topher got eliminated just because some nasty sap ended up in his hair. I wonder how that happened?" when she said that, a flashback occurred as she slipped away, grabbed the sap with a stick, and threw it at Topher's hair. When she finished, she looked down at her hands, "I hate people who do something bad to me and get away with it, like letting me fall into a disgusting n' nasty substance and smell worse than a skunk. If someone does that... I won't rest until I pay them back like they did to me."
End of the Confessionals
"That was interesting to watch" Chris said, looking at the camera, standing on the dock. "Can the Frogs recover from this stumble? Will the Rats dominate to avoid losing? Find out next time on Total...Drama...wait, did we forget something?"
The scene cut to Boney Island at night, where roars and a scream could be heard. "They forgot about me!" Ezekiel yelled, as he was chased by the woolly beavers all night.
Final Comments (Topher):
"I'm not going to say it was unfair, for starters I used my charm to take advantage of girls and thus gain an advantage, that's not something my father would like; maybe now that my long hair has diminished, I'll start to see more of me than just perfect male appearance..." he said while he moved further away from the island, "What I'm not sure of is that sab came to me, someone must have done something, someone very mean..."

Author's Note:
Hello again, sorry for the inactivity from two weeks ago, but the biggest reason was that a series (or video-game) finally completely took away my core Total Drama fanatism (just so you know, it's called "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney". I finished the first trilogy and am now playing Apollo Justice).
I'll still try to stay consistent, at least for this run of the next four episodes. There's not much I can say about the challenge, other than that Topher was "sabotaged" by Dakota. FYI, she's not the same as she was in ROTI, she's...vengeful.
And we also had Mike getting "jealous". Believe me, I'll do my best to give him what the real show never gave him...own personality.
The next challenge will be located in a remote part of the island for several reasons: more ferocious mutants and holes that turn anyone who falls into a monster. See you next week, God willing!
