Chapter 3: Goodbye, Alola
Scene 1: Elio's House
The Alolan sun blazed, painting the small room in Elio's house with a warm, golden light. He stood by the doorway, a well-worn backpack slung over his shoulder. The scent of his mother's malasadas, still lingering in the air, tugged at his heartstrings. He was 21 now, no longer the wide-eyed kid who'd embarked on his Island Challenge. A grown man, ready for new adventures. But leaving home never got any easier.
His mother, a vibrant woman with a smile that could chase away the darkest clouds, squeezed his hand. Her eyes, brimming with pride and a touch of sadness, met his. "You're ready for this, Elio. Kanto is waiting for you."
"I know, Mom," he replied, his voice thick with emotion. "But I'll miss you. I'll miss everything here."
She chuckled softly. "Alola will always be here for you, my son. And you'll always be our champion. Now, go on. Don't keep Kukui waiting."
His Pokémon, eagerly gathered around him, sensed the bittersweet mood. Incineroar, his loyal starter, nudged his leg with his massive head, a rumbling purr emanating from his chest. Primarina let out a soft, mournful song, its shimmering scales catching the sunlight. Raichu, ever the energetic one, sparked playfully, trying to lighten the atmosphere. Lycanroc (Midday Form) gave a reassuring bark.
Elio knelt down, scratching each of them behind the ears. "We'll have new adventures in Kanto, guys," he said, his voice laced with excitement. "New friends, new challenges. But Alola will always be our home."
He stood up, took one last look at his mother, and forced a smile. "I'll call you soon, Mom. And send you lots of pictures."
"You better," she said, wiping a tear from her eye. "Now, go make us proud."
With a final hug, he turned and walked out the door, his Pokémon following closely behind. The familiar sights and sounds of Iki Town washed over him – the vibrant colors of the houses, the chirping of Wingull overhead, the friendly greetings from neighbors. He knew he would miss it all.
He spotted Professor Kukui, Hau, the Trial Captains (Mallow, Lana, Kiawe, and Sophocles), Mamoru, the Elite Four (Hapu, Olivia, Hala, and Kahili), the Ultra Recon Squad (Dulse, Phyco, and Soliera), former Team Skull members ( Guzma and Plumeria), and Gladion gathered near the edge of town. A mix of anticipation and nervousness fluttered in his stomach. This was it. A new chapter was about to begin.
Hau, ever the enthusiastic one, waved excitedly. "Elio! You made it! Are you ready for Kanto?"
Elio grinned. "Ready as I'll ever be, Hau."
He took a deep breath, filling his lungs with the sweet, salty air of Alola. One last look back at his home, a silent promise to return soon. Then, he turned and joined his friends, his heart filled with hope and a touch of melancholy. Goodbye, Alola. For now.
Scene 2: Aether Paradise Battleship
The Aether Paradise Battleship cut through the turquoise waters, leaving a foamy white trail in its wake. Elio leaned against the railing, the wind whipping through his hair. The familiar scent of the sea was comforting, a reminder of home even as they sailed towards a new destination.
Below deck, a lively chatter filled the air. Hau, true to form, was regaling everyone with tales of his previous adventures, his infectious enthusiasm drawing laughter and smiles. The Trial Captains were huddled together, discussing potential new culinary and crafting ideas inspired by Kanto. The Ultra Recon Squad, still slightly bewildered by their surroundings, were intently studying maps of the region. Even Guzma and Plumeria seemed to be enjoying the change of scenery, a far cry from their days causing trouble as Team Skull.
Elio found Gladion standing silently at the far end of the deck, staring out at the horizon. He walked over and leaned against the railing beside him.
"Thinking about Lillie?" Elio asked softly.
Gladion nodded, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "I miss her. But I know she's happy in Kanto, studying with my mom. I'm looking forward to seeing her."
"She'll be glad to see you too," Elio said.
He glanced around at the group, a sense of gratitude washing over him. He was surrounded by his friends, his family, and his Pokémon. What more could he ask for?
Suddenly, Hau burst onto the deck, his eyes wide with excitement. "Elio! They're serving malasadas! Come on, before they're all gone!"
Elio laughed and followed Hau below deck, where a feast of Alolan delicacies awaited them. Everyone was gathered around the tables, sharing stories, laughing, and enjoying the journey. He saw his Pokémon happily munching on Poké Beans, their eyes gleaming with contentment.
He sat down beside Hau, grabbing a warm malasada. "So, Hau," he said, taking a bite. "What are you most excited about in Kanto?"
Hau's eyes lit up. "Everything! I want to try all the new foods, battle all the Gym Leaders, and maybe even catch a legendary Pokémon!"
Elio chuckled. "Sounds like you've got a busy schedule."
"You bet!" Hau exclaimed, taking another bite of his malasada. "But I'm also a little jealous, you know?"
Elio raised an eyebrow. "Jealous? Of what?"
"Of your friends in Kanto! Liam, Sarah, and Mark, right? And even Mr. Krabs! You've got a whole new group of people waiting for you! I wish I had friends like that in Kanto."
Elio smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, Hau. You'll make plenty of friends in Kanto. You're Hau! Everyone loves Hau!"
Hau grinned. "You think so?"
"I know so," Elio said, patting him on the back. "Now, eat your malasada. We're almost there."
Scene 3: Ultra Space, Unknown Ship
Far beyond the familiar reaches of space, in a dimension twisted and warped by unknown energies, a hulking vessel of alien design drifted silently. Inside, bathed in the eerie glow of pulsating crystals, stood a figure cloaked in shadow. His face was obscured by a metallic mask, his voice a distorted echo that resonated through the chamber. He was known only as Cipher, and his ambition was as cold and vast as the void that surrounded him.
"Kanto," Cipher rasped, his voice a grinding, metallic whisper. "A world teeming with Pokémon. A world ripe for cleansing."
Before him stood a tall, gaunt figure, his face pale and etched with a cruel intelligence. He was Cipher's most trusted lieutenant, a master of manipulation and deception named Shadow.
"The preparations are complete, Cipher," Shadow said, his voice smooth and sinister. "The technology is ready. The plan is in motion."
Cipher nodded slowly. "The Pokémon are a blight on this world. They are a source of chaos and instability. They must be eradicated. The essence of Kanto must be purified."
"And how do you intend to achieve this goal, Cipher?" Shadow inquired with a sly smirk.
Cipher raised a hand, revealing a device of intricate design and ominous power. It hummed with a dark energy, a force capable of disrupting the very fabric of life itself.
"This," Cipher said, his voice dripping with malevolence, "is the Nullifier. It will drain the life force from every Pokémon in Kanto, leaving behind a barren wasteland. A clean slate upon which we can build a new world, a world free from the curse of these creatures."
Shadow bowed his head. "A brilliant plan, Cipher. But… there may be resistance. The people of Kanto love their Pokémon. They will not surrender them easily."
Cipher laughed, a cold, chilling sound that echoed through the ship. "Let them resist. Let them fight. It will only make the cleansing more satisfying. Send in Project Darkstorm, I want them to test on the weak Pokémon of Kanto."
"As you wish." Shadow bowed deeply. "But who will lead the operation?"
Cipher paused, his masked face turning towards the vastness of space. "I have someone in mind. Someone who understands the allure of power. Someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals. Someone... expendable."
He turned back to Shadow, his eyes glinting with malice. "I am sending one of your underlings, I call him Void. He is a dangerous man, but his head is as empty as his heart , He wants to take Kanto for his own personal playground."
Shadow arched an eyebrow. "Void? He is effective, but... unpredictable."
"Precisely," Cipher said, a cruel smile twisting behind his mask. "His unpredictability will be his strength. He will sow chaos and discord, weakening the resistance from within. And when his usefulness is exhausted, we will dispose of him. He is but a pawn in our grand design."
"Kanto will be ours, Shadow," Cipher declared, his voice resonating with unwavering conviction. "The Pokémon will be cleansed. And a new era will begin."
Shadow bowed again, his eyes gleaming with ambition. "For the glory of Cipher."
Scene 4: Somewhere in Seafoam Islands
Void stood within the darkness of the Seafoam Islands with a sinister smirk. "Kanto , a perfect place to begin my new order. Cipher's technology will be mine to use to conquer the world for my own" he said to himself . He had his team of Grimers and Garbodors ready to attack the wild pokemon of the islands and drain them of their energy. He sent them in. "Begin my new order".
The grimers and garbodors began to attack the wild pokemon draining them from their energy . Jynx and articuno tried to stop the grimers and trubbish but there were to many for them to handle. "With this energy I might take it for myself" Void replied with glee.
Little does our heroes in Alola know that Kanto is now in grave danger.
