A New Threat Emerges
The jagged tear in reality shimmered, spitting Griselda and Changatai into a landscape that defied definition. Towering crystal formations pierced a sky that bled from crimson to violet, casting the sparse, dust-like ground in an eerie glow. This was Ultra Space, or what remained of it, a fractured echo of a once vibrant dimension.
"Finally," Griselda hissed, her voice laced with a venomous satisfaction. "Away from Alola, away from that blasted prison."
Changatai, ever the pragmatist, scanned their surroundings. "Ultra Space is…different than I remember. Diminished."
Griselda scoffed, adjusting the tattered remains of her Ultra Hunter uniform. "Alola's meddling. They think they've contained this place, destroyed it. They'll pay for that."
The Ultra Hunters was a ghost of its former self. Cypher, their leader, defeated, his ambition crumbling into dust. Most had scattered after his downfall, the Ultra Hunters fractured and lost. But not Griselda. For her, the mission wasn't over. It had only just begun.
They moved cautiously, the air thick with a strange, almost metallic scent. Here and there, they spotted remnants of other Ultra Hunters, scavenging what they could from the ruins. Some were hostile, driven mad by the dimensional instability, others were simply broken, hollow-eyed and defeated.
One group, clad in what remained of their tattered armor, recognized Griselda. "Griselda? You… you escaped?" The speaker, a hulking figure named Rexus, approached hesitantly.
"I did," Griselda said, her eyes burning with a zealous light. "And I'm here to rebuild. To fulfill Cypher's vision, even if he couldn't."
Rexus and his companions exchanged doubtful glances. "But...Alola. They're too strong."
"They were lucky," Griselda spat. "Naive. They think they've won. They think they've contained the power of Ultra Space. I will prove them wrong."
Changatai laid a calming hand on Griselda's arm. "Griselda, we need a plan. We can't just rush back into Alola. We need to gather resources, allies..."
Griselda shook him off, her gaze fixed on some distant, unseen point. "Resources and allies will come. I have a purpose. A destiny. Elio and Alola will suffer for what they've done. They will learn what it means to underestimate the Ultra Hunters."
She turned to Rexus and his group, her voice resonating with newfound conviction. "I am Griselda. And I am the new Ultra Champion. Swear your allegiance to me, and together, we will reclaim what is rightfully ours!"
A hesitant murmur rippled through the group. They were lost, adrift, and desperate for direction. Griselda offered them a purpose, a chance to strike back against the world that had defeated them.
As a handful of Ultra Hunters knelt before her, Griselda smiled. It was a cold, cruel smile, a promise of vengeance etched upon her face. In the desolate landscape of Ultra Space, a new threat was brewing, fueled by rage and a burning desire to reclaim lost glory. The Ultra Hunters, it seemed, was not dead after all. It was just getting started.
