A/N: Are we finally getting into agency stuff? I didn't know it was going to take this long either... but it is starting... and it'll develop more soon!

I was proud to announce this was the only longfic I was currently posting but... I have no self-control and I'm posting another Regency AU (7 Scandals and a Baby) which you can find on AO3

The underground to the parking lot of the agency opened with a swipe of Harry's badge. He drove inside and picked a parking spot near the stairwell.

Ginny grabbed the diaper bag as Harry clicked June's carrier out of the car.

"I did your security clearance already." He closed the door and locked it. "Apparently you have never committed a crime."

She smiled at him. "That I've been caught for."

"Please," he snorted.

"You've seen me jaywalking," Ginny told him with a grin.

Harry walked up the stairs ahead of hers. "I think they're looking for something more offensive than that."

They picked up her visitor badge from the front desk, Harry greeting the desk clerk amicably. Then Harry started showing her around. First up were the offices. Rows and rows of desks were lined up with desktop computers.

"Of course everyone gets a laptop, but you can use these too. They're pretty hefty things. Very secure too for checking suspicious drives." He walked a little further into the room.

She followed, and looked around. Pink hair popped up from behind a screen.

"I thought I heard you!" Dora greeted.

Harry smiled. "Hi, Dora. Showing Ginny and our June around the agency."

Dora shot up off her seat. "Let me look at her." She walked to them and bent over. "Oh, she is precious!" She stood back up. "How are you guys feeling?"

"Tired," Ginny concluded.

Dora smiled at her. "You don't look it, if that's any comfort."

"Somewhat," Ginny said. "I feel like I'm sleepwalking sometimes."

"We're hopeful she'll figure out sometime what nighttime means, but probably not any time soon," Harry said with a fond look at his daughter.

Dora chuckled. "Somewhere before they're a teenager they must figure it out, right?"

"I suspect so," Harry joked.

"I have to finish something, but I'll see you around?" Dora asked, pointing over her shoulder to her computer.

"Yeah, we'll be here for a bit," Harry assured her.

Ginny followed Harry out. "Did I read correctly on her badge that her full name is Nymphadora? No wonder she goes by Dora."

"Yes," Harry confirmed. "Suddenly Ginevra doesn't sound so bad, huh?"

"Definitely."

Harry showed her the training rooms where they taught combat skills, the gym where they could work out during working hours to stay fit for the job, the meeting rooms and then they stopped by the daycare.

"She's already been entered on the list, so if there is ever an emergency we could drop her off," Harry told her. "We just need to update her file for anything like food preference and allergies if needed."

Ginny looked through the window. Two toddlers were pushing a cart around on mats. She could see there was an infant section on the other side of the room. "You were in this daycare too?"

"Yep—obviously it's been updated since but I really enjoyed it. For my parents it was really easy because they could check in on me. If they were running late Sirius or Remus came to pick me up," Harry explained.

"Would my parents be able to pick her up?" she asked.

He nodded. "Yes, but they would do pick-up at the door so you need to call ahead but the daycare has a separate number they could use. It's a bit odd, but it does work."

"I guess that makes sense," she muttered.

The daycare was only one corridor down from the atrium. They walked back there. Ginny spotted the memorial on the wall. The man near the top looked familiar.

"Is that your grandpa up there?" she asked as she walked up closer to look.

Harry followed her and looked over the fallen agents with her. Ginny knelt by the carrier and took June out. She turned her around.

"That's your great-grandpa," she told June. She pointed at the photo and the plaque below that read 'Fleamont Peverell'. "Is it difficult for you that you can't really tell people about him?"

Harry turned from the photo to her. "I never knew him personally, I would have liked to. I'm proud of his sacrifice, and I'll carry on his legacy. If we know what that means, that's all that matters to me."

"Fleamont was one of the best agents I've ever seen and I've seen a few," a voice from behind them said.

Both of them turned around to a stern-looking woman.

"This is Minerva McGonagall, she is the big boss," Harry introduced her.

"I'm Ginny Weasley," she introduced herself.

Minerva nodded. "So I've heard." She eyed the baby. "And that must be little June Potter."

"Correct," Harry confirmed proudly.

She observed the baby for a moment more. "She looks a lot like you when you were a baby, Harry. Very similar face shape."

"She looks more like Harry every day," Ginny said as she readjusted June on her arm. "Did you know Fleamont well?"

Minerva glanced at the picture with a thoughtful look. "I was his first hire after the reform he made. He thought I'd be a good fit for the renewed agency." She wore a sad smile. "I still remember him bringing James to the agency for the first time when he was born."

"Sometimes I like to think she has a soft spot for us because we're third-generation agents and she has known us all our lives," Harry told Ginny.

Minerva's gaze slipped to him. "You know I'm impartial, Potter." A hint of a smile danced around her lips.

"Do you want to hold her?" Ginny offered, now knowing she could be swayed.

Minerva held out her hands and Ginny placed the baby in her arms. She wore a fond smile as she cooed at the baby.

"Do you mind if I take her for a minute?"

Harry nodded. "We trust you'll bring her back when she gets fussy."

Minerva chuckled lightly and then walked off with June. Ginny watched them go.

"She's stealing everyone's hearts," Ginny commented fondly.

Harry hummed. "She takes after you." He faced Ginny and kissed her softly.

"In the workplace?" James' offended voice came.

Ginny felt her cheeks heat up and turned to James.

Harry folded his arms. "Really? It's not like I've never seen you kiss mum here."

James walked up to them. "That is different." He shrugged. "We are married."

"I see." Harry put an arm around Ginny. "In that case, we need to tell you something…"

"I don't believe that for one second," James retorted calmly. "If you got married to Ginny, you'd make sure the whole bloody world knew." He winked at Ginny. Then his eyes slipped to the empty carrier on the floor. "Where's my lovely grandkid?"

"She's alright, she's with the big boss," Harry said. "You need to get that job interview done young enough."

James laughed. "I bet she's making security take a picture. They did that with you when we came to show you off, and dad did the same with me."

Sure enough, Minerva returned with June sporting her own badge. She also had a printed version of the three baby pictures next to each other.

Ginny looked at it for a moment. "Oh, they do look similar like this!"

"They really do," Minerva said. "The facial recognition system agreed too… I'll be off, but it has been nice to meet the youngest Peverell." She strode away with somewhat of a regal air.

"Are you joining for lunch?" James asked them.

Ginny nodded and lifted June, sniffing. "Yes, I just think June needs a new diaper first." She handed June over to Harry.

He took the diaper bag off her shoulder and walked off to the restroom.

Ginny caught James looking at his dad's photograph. "Do you miss him?"

He wore a sad smile. "Every day." He took a deep breath as his gaze drifted from the picture to Ginny. "I just keep in my thoughts how many lives he saved on that school bus… it's always worth it." He cleared his throat. "Losing a parent is difficult, but losing a child is worse. He knew that, he did not hesitate."

"Yeah, I can't even imagine," Ginny agreed. Even the thought of something happening to June left her with an intense fear gripping her heart that she didn't think was possible previously.

"A few weeks after he died, we found out we were having a baby… I began to understand it on a whole different level." James looked up at the picture again. "I'll always honour the Peverell name, even if I'm a Potter."

"I know Harry does too," Ginny added quietly.

James nodded. "I always told him he didn't need to follow in our footsteps, but he's…"

"Yeah," Ginny agreed. "It is rather fitting for him."

Lily walked up too, quickly kissing James on the lips in greeting.

"Don't tell Harry," James told Ginny.

Lily looked around. "Where are they?"

Ginny pointed towards the restroom, where Harry had walked back through the door.

"It was a level 2 natural disaster," he reported back, handing her June.

"Ooh," Ginny winced. "Got peed on?"

"Not this time." He looked down to verify. "No, I'm in the clear."

Lily frowned. "I thought only boys could pee on you?"

"They have an easier time at it," Ginny said. "But no, June is quite capable of it too."

"Good to know," Lily said. She held open her arms. "Give her to me!"

Harry showed Ginny the menu by the cafeteria so she could already pick something to eat.

"Did I miss you having another baby?" someone asked Lily.

Harry looked. "That's Marlene."

Lily shook her head. "It's my grandbaby!" she said proudly.

Marlene stopped dead in her tracks and walked up to the baby. "No…! You're too young to be a grandma! This is Harry's kid? When did you have him?"

"At twenty-one," Lily said. "This is June."

Marlene shook her head. "I could've sworn it was yours. I can't believe it! She's ginger too."

Lily turned around to them and nodded for them to come closer. Ginny walked up to them.

"This is June's mum; Ginny." Lily turned back to Marlene.

Marlene gasped. "Oh! Nice to meet you! You're Harry's…?"

"Girlfriend," Ginny announced. "For now."

Marlene's face froze.

"Oh no!" Ginny said with a laugh. "I'm looking for an upgrade, not a downgrade.

Marlene chuckled in relief. "Oh good." She looked at Harry, who had joined them too. "How are you a dad? I swear I remember seeing toddler you run around here like it was yesterday."

"That was over twenty years ago," Harry said. "Mum is still upset she's a grandmother."

"That is entirely not true," Lily hissed. "I'd die for her. I just don't feel like a grandma, which Marlene proved once again."

Marlene turned to James. "What about you?"

"Well, I think they could've waited for a few years but I adore being a grandpa." James looked at June. "And we love Ginny."

Ginny smiled at them.

"You're still at university, right?" Marlene asked him.

Harry nodded, glancing at Ginny and back. "Yes, we both are. June was not planned, but we should be graduating in a few months and things will settle a bit, I hope."

"I think you chose the wrong job, kid," Marlene pointed out. She looked back at June and smiled.

"We can take a little breather, I can start working and Ginny can take her time to figure out what she wants to do. I prefer working over studying and writing a thesis," he said. "It's a lot at once."

"I can see that," Marlene agreed.

Sirius walked up to them. "Where is my favourite baby!" He walked up to Lily and tickled June's tummy. "Hi, lovely. You're growing so much!"

"It's like he doesn't notice us anymore," James let out dramatically.

Sirius paused his conversation with June. "We just had a 3-hour meeting together. What do you want from me?"

James grinned at him. "I'm joking, sweetheart. We'll wait for Remus and go to lunch."

Harry adored showing off their baby at the agency. He always felt at home there and it was nice to introduce the youngest Potter to them. Yet he was also glad to return home. They had never been away from home with June for this long. Luckily everything went well.

"What did you think?" he asked Ginny, holding June in his arms.

She sat down on the couch. "It was nice. It's like a whole separate part of your life."

"Are you still mad about that?" he asked cautiously.

"No…" She tied up her hair in a bun, taking the hair tie off her wrist. "We do nearly everything together, we know each other so well… it was actually quite interesting to see this part that I don't know yet. Felt like getting to know you better—which, between us two, is hard to come by."

"True," he agreed.

"I hate a little that I am understanding all the secrecy. It wasn't nice to feel lied to, but when you consider how important the work is that you're doing… I knew you were too noble for your own good. Unfortunately this job fits you rather well."

"Ultimately I did know I could trust you, but sometimes it's really about where you draw the line, because you cannot tell everyone." He looked down at June who was about to start to cry. "You're getting hungry. I can see it. Let's see if your mum will whip out a boobie for us."

Ginny shot him an annoyed look. "Give her here."

"Well done, June. High five." Harry mimicked high-fiving her tiny hand. "We'll work on that." He smiled innocently as he handed June over. "You know I was joking, right?"

Ginny moved her shirt aside and unclipped her bra. "I know you're not stupid." She made sure June was nursing well and then she looked at him. "I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was really surprised by the positive energy. It's something so secretive but yet everyone was so open. They all doted on her."

"Once you're in on the secret you're part of the bunch," he explained. "Of course you don't get along with everyone, but most of them are great. I think it has to do with the hiring tests. They're looking for a certain type of person."

"You took that test when you were 16, then?" she asked.

"It's complicated, most people don't have parents at the agency. At first, we went undercover, I was just registered as 'child of' as they do for other kids of undercover parents… but I've always been a special case."

"You are a special case indeed." She scrunched her nose happily at her joke.

"I think I took the official test a year later? Only when I had come back, but I was pretty certain I would get in."

Ginny seemed to think about it for a moment and she nodded. "I guess that makes sense." She looked down at June. "I have my six-week appointment soon, but just because they clear me doesn't mean—"

"I know," he told her. "Just because you're physically okay for sex doesn't mean you feel ready." He reached out and squeezed her arm. "I'm not going to push you."

She nodded quickly and met his eyes. "I think I know that, but it feels better to say it out loud. I don't want you to be left guessing, and… I don't think I'll be ready yet."

"Okay." He smiled reassuringly. "Whenever you're ready I'll be ready but before that, you won't hear a single peep from me. I'd like to think our relationship is built on a whole lot more than sex."

"Except once we started dating…" She raised an eyebrow.

"We were just catching up." He kissed her cheek. "You could never want to have sex again and that would be alright. I love you."

Ginny smiled at him. "I love you too," she said softly. "It's not going to be never. You're too sexy for that."

He grinned at her. "Oh my."

It took some coordination, but they managed to arrange for both of them or either of them to attend classes. Some professors would allow them to bring June, and then they'd sit close to the door so if June was disturbing people, they'd quickly escape and only return if she was quiet.

Classes where both of them had to attend but June couldn't join, which luckily were very few, one of the grandparents would watch June for a bit and then often even be reluctant to give her back. It was still taxing to take care of an infant while taking classes, writing papers and studying but they were managing.

Ginny often insisted on carrying June, not for any motherly reason, as much as she liked to pretend that was the case. No. The moment Harry strapped that kid to his chest, he became an instant babe magnet. Their classmates would fawn over him, if he was not next to her suddenly everyone was interested in making small talk with him about his baby and as they walked to classes, she'd see the longing looks from people hanging out in the hallways.

Her only peace of mind was the fact that Harry didn't seem to register it much at all. At most he was excited that everyone was so excited about the baby.

"We need to talk," she said one day on the way home, June against his chest.

He visibly paled. "What?"

"You need to stop making small talk with every girl when you hold June," she told him.

He stopped walking. "They just want to meet June."

"Sure." She pursed her lips. "How many of them want to 'meet June' when I'm holding her?"

Harry's mouth opened and closed again. "Oh." He smiled a little. "I have the power."

"You do!" she complained. "It's driving me insane. And I'm not one for jealousy."

"Well…" he interjected.

Ginny frowned at him. "I just need you to be a bit more mindful, because one day I'm going to have a bad day and it's going to be too much."

"We don't want any casualties," he agreed. "I had no clue, I'm sorry."

She rubbed her temples. "I know you don't, that's what's so annoying."

"I'll keep it in mind."

They started walking again and Ginny felt some relief about getting that off her chest.

"Just so you know—I always tell them how June takes after her gorgeous mum." He glanced at her.

She bit back her smile. "You do?"

He nodded. "Of course." He held out his hand.

She took it and entwined their fingers. "It's just not fair that I'm considered used good and you're considered desirable."

"I hate when you say stuff like that." He halted by the red light at the crossing on their street. "It's incel bullshit and you know it. You grew a whole ass baby, and you love it and you feed it. You'll do more for her than I can ever do and I think that's impressive as hell."

She had not expected Harry to get so fired up. She took his other hand too. "Deep breaths, Harry."

"I will not tolerate negative self-talk," he continued. "You're a wonderful mum and that's more meaningful than anything those idiots find important."

The light turned green so she released one hand again and they crossed the street. They turned to the left towards their apartment.

"I was mostly joking."

He shook his head thoughtfully. "I don't want you to feel any less than you are, when you're so amazing."

"You do a pretty good job at lifting me up," she told him. "I don't hate that you're a good dad and that other people can tell. I just want you for myself."

They stopped in front of the building. Ginny took the key out of her pocket.

"You do," Harry told her. "Of course, you do."

When Ginny finally felt ready to have sex again, it felt like a whole endeavour to manage it. The stars had to align for it to happen. June had to be asleep, they needed to not have other plans and most of all, not be too tired.

Harry stood by the edge of the bed, hesitating for a moment. His biggest worry was it not being enjoyable for her.

"Hurry up," Ginny ordered. "If she wakes up, we're done here."

Harry tilted his head to the side. "Is this your idea of foreplay?" He took his shirt off. "I think it's funny you think this is going to last long at all."

"Get in here," she pleaded gently.

He eyed the nightstand for the condoms. They were not taking any risks in that regard. He got into bed and scooted in closer. He pulled her shirt over her head and then pulled her in closer.

"It's like losing my second virginity," Ginny joked. "I'm glad you're here for it."

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," he retorted, hoping the teasing would set her at ease.

She kissed him and then her lips trailed down. "If it's over too quickly—don't feel bad. I'd rather have that than dragging it out when it's not working for either of us."

"I'll make it work for you," he told her. His hand dragged down her back. "Trust me."

He made sure the focus was on her and her only. He took his time making sure she felt at ease and that she was enjoying herself. His pleasure was secondary.

He only stopped when she had come down from her second orgasm, her expression bright and happy. He discarded the condom and laid down beside her. She pulled him closer and he settled into her embrace.

"Our baby is still asleep," Ginny noted.

He nodded. "That's a victory in itself."

She chuckled and ran a hand through his hair. "I'm relieved everything still worked as it should."

"Everything was also still where it should be," he teased.

She pushed against him softly with a smile. "Please… although…" She glanced down.

"No. You're perfect," he said before she could continue. Sure, her body had changed somewhat after the baby, but she was still the same insanely sexy Ginny.

She kissed him. "Did it feel different for you?"

"More so because of the condom than anything else," he told her.

She nodded. "I thought so too. I'm impressed you lasted this long. Gold star."

Harry laughed. "Why, thank you." He shook his head and kissed her again.

They snuggled closer, enjoying a little more time before June was awake.

"Are you still nervous?" he asked her.

She shook her head. "No. I think it was mostly in my head. Sex is back on the table."

"Neat."

She chuckled, a hand cupping his cheek. "Thank you."

"Did you just thank me for sex?" he let out. "Oh honey, you never have to thank me for that."

He tickled her sides until she laughed and attacked her with kisses wherever his lips found a spot. He only stopped when she was breathless. He met her eyes and she pulled him down to snog him.
