Walking onto the bullhead, I made my way past everyone and over to the benches. Sitting down, I pulled out my scowl and aimed the camera at me, with me taking a picture and then sending it to Neo. She didn't reply, making me sigh as it said that she read it. It annoyed me that she wasn't talking to me, but I wasn't giving up on her. Seeing someone sit next to me, I looked at them, with my eyes widening as it was Weiss Schnee.

She was looking over her papers, so she didn't seem to have notice me. Clearing my throat, I watched as she lifted her head up, then back at me, where she even got a look of shock. I smiled and waved at her, with her doing the same. We then looked away from the other, going back to what we were doing. Hearing a commotion at the entrance, I looked over and saw everyone was surrounding someone with red hair.

I wondered who it was, but chose against going to investigate. "So." Weiss said, gaining my attention as I looked at her. "You're going to Beacon as well?" She asked, with me nodding. "I hear that everyone in their first year will have to chose teams, would you like to team up?" She asked, with me laughing on the inside, but just smiled at her.

"Sorry, but I'm a second year!" I said, shocking her.

"But wait, why are you here then?" She asked, with me looking down at the ground.

"A mission went bad... My team and I tried our best to stop this mad man, but I was the only survivor. With me tearing the entire place down to the ground, they had suspended me for a year. Right now, I'm the last member of Team FEDM." I said, looking forward as I remembered the first time I met all of them.

Flashback

"Holy shit!?" Em yelled, looking at the bullhead.

"Get over it, its just a ship." I said, standing right next to him as we waited for the ship to land.

Once it landed, Fal ran past them, nearly knocking us over. "Come on, lets start our adventure!" Fal yelled as he ran inside, with Jessie following him soon after.

"I hope I don't get paired up with these idiots" I said with a sigh as I followed everyone else.

Flashback end

"At first glance, we looked like we hated the other, but that wasn't the case, it was just our way of hanging out." I said, followed by a loud voice yelling Ruby. Looking down the path it came from, I could see the red caped girl getting hugged to death. Her hair was blond and very long, almost to her waist. Her eyes were purple. She was wearing a tan vest with gold piping over a yellow low-cut crop top with a black crest. The vest has puffy cap sleeves with black cuffs and with two small golden buttons. A brown belt with a buckle and a pouch. Black shorts under her belt, which resembles a pleated skirt in the back. Brown knee-high platform boots with orange socks of different lengths. Fingerless black gloves underneath her weapons and two yellow mechanized gauntlets. "Must be friends." I said, looking back at Weiss. "So, why are you going to Beacon?" I asked, not really caring why.

"Well, if you must know, I've been training to become a Huntress for years with my sister, Winter!" She is a high ranking officer within the Atlas Military-

"I don't want to know about your sister, I want to know about you!" I interrupted, cutting her off. "Why are you becoming a Huntress?" I asked, with her nodding her head.

"I understand your question, but I'm refusing to answer!" She said, looking away.

"Fine, I guess our conversation is over with." I said, leaning back and passing out.

Later

"Come on, sis! Introduce him to me." I heard, with me waking up from my nap. Opening my eyes, I saw Ruby and the blonde standing before me.

"Dakota, I want you to meet my sister, Yang! Yang, this is my friend, Dakota!" Ruby said, holding her hands out to me, with me looking around and seeing that people were already leaving, with me getting up and leaving myself.

"Hello, Yang." I said with a yawn.

"Hello!" Yang said with a large smile.

"It's nice to meet you, I hope we can be friends, and all that junk." I said as I rubbed my neck.

"Sure... Are you coming to Beacon with us, or are you here for something else, like a secret teacher?" Yang asked, with me looking at her like she was stupid.

"Yeah, I'm a second year. But due to some mishaps, I'm on a team of my own and will start with the first years." I said, with them nodding.

"Wow…" The two sisters said, amazed at the sight Beacon as we walked out of the bullhead.

"So this is Beacon Academy." I said, holding my arms out as I showed them the place.

"The view from Vale has nothing on this." Yang said as she crossed her arms.

Ruby went crazy from looking at people with weapons. Her eyes are sparkly and turned into a chibi version. Suddenly, she flew in the air like a fairy and grabbed Yang's arm while looking at everyone. "Ooh! Ooh! Sis! That kid has a collapsible staff! And she got a fire sword!" Ruby said as she pointed at different people.

"Is she alright?" I asked Yang, watching Ruby get excited from looking at weapons.

"Yeah, she gets excited about seeing them." Yang replied, with me shrugging.

I shook my head and put a hand on Ruby's shoulder. "Ruby, turn it down to a one, or you might not make any friends." I said, with her deflating as I said that.

"Why don't you try to make some friends?" Yang asked, before pulling Ruby's hood down as she put her hood up.

"But, why would I need friends when I have you?" Ruby asked, with me looking at the crowd that formed around Yang.

"Well, Actually, my friends are here. Gotta catch up! Kay, see ya bye!" Yang said, running around with her friends, with me watching them run off.

"Are we supposed to go to our dorms? Where are the dorms? Do we have dorms?" A dizzy Ruby asked as she fell down and hit the white luggage, making me sigh in annoyance.

"What are you doing?!" Weiss yelled as she stood next to us, looking down at Ruby.

"Sorry…" said Ruby apologizing.

"Sorry!? Do you have any idea of the damage you could've caused!?" Weiss asked, glaring at Ruby.

"Hey, Weiss, it was an accident. She got pushed by a crowd and fell down. Also, she apologized to you." I said, pushing Weiss back a bit before she could do anything that she would regret.

Weiss then swiped the small suitcase from Ruby as she picked it up. She opens it and showed it to Ruby. Inside of the suitcase, was several small glass bottles with dust inside. "This is Dust mined and purified from the Schnee Quarry. What are you, brain dead?!" She yelled as she takes one of the glass bottles and it has red dust inside. She shakes her bottle without thinking, her dust spreading.

Catching her arm, she glared at me. "Lets not shake the cracked dust bottle in someone's face!" I said, with her looking at it and nodding as she saw the crack.

The red dust that did escape floated towards Ruby's nose and made her sneeze and unleashed a flame, ice, and lightning dust explosion. I used my aura to catch the explosion and sent it into the air, where I released it, with the explosion going off soon after, destroying nothing.

"Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world." A new voice spoke, with me looking at them, seeing that it was a black haired girl, who was walking towards us. She has long, wavy black hair and her eyes are amber. She wore a black ribbon tied in the form of a bow. A black buttoned vest with coattails and a white sleeveless undershirt that exposes part of her midriff with white shorts that may be connected to her shirt. Her shorts have a zipper on the front of each leg. She wore black low-heeled boots. Black ribbons on both of her arms, with a black detached sleeve and a silver band on her left arm.

"Finally, some recognition!" said Weiss.

"The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners." The black hair girl said as Weiss got angry.

"What-How dare-The nerve of-" She glared getting closer to her, but her temperature cooled down as she walked off.

"I promise I'll make this up to you! I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day." Ruby said as she frowned, before she looked at the black haired girl. She was about to ask for her name, but she walked off.

"Hey, guys!" Someone said, with us looking at him. He was tall, had dark-blue eyes and blond hair. He wore a white chest plate and shoulder armor. Under the armor, he had a black hoodie with reddish-orange sleeves. He also had blue pants with a white patch on the left knee. Brown wrist-length gloves with exposed fingertips and a small metal plate on the back. His sword was strapped to his left hip in a sheath. "I'm Jaune."

Later

After leading Ruby and Jaune to the huge room where the students were gathering, I left them to find Weiss as she was the only one I knew. Finding her was easy, and I stood beside her, with her huffing and looking the other way.

"I wish!" We heard, where we looked over at Ruby as she wasn't that far from us. We walked over to her, stopping just behind her. "I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage! And then she yelled at me! And then I sneezed. And then I almost exploded! And then she yelled at me again! And I felt really, really bad! And I just wanted her to stop yelling at me!" Ruby said as she described to Yang about Weiss.

"Hey, you!" Weiss yelled at Ruby, who jumped into Yang's arms.

"Oh god, it's happening again!" Ruby said in fear.

"You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!" Weiss said.

"Oh my god, you really almost exploded." Yang said in shock.

A loud microphone caused everyone to stop. "I'll keep this brief." Ozpin said from the stage, with everyone looking at him. "You have traveled here today in search of knowledge. To hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to protection of the people. But I look amongst you and all I see is wasted energy in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." Ozpin said, where he started walking off, where Glynda stepped forward.

"You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready. You're dismissed." Glynda said, looking at everyone, her eyes landing on me before walking away.

"Seemed kind of off." Yang said as she rubbed her chin.

"Almost like he wasn't there." Ruby said as she looked at Yang in agreement.

Jaune dashed right next to us, with me looking at him. "I'm a natural blond, you know!" He said.

"And you will be the first to die, you know!" I said, shocking him as I turned around and walked away, annoyed with him.

Later that night

'I cant believe she put me in charge of watching over the kids.' I thought, annoyed with Glynda. It was a staff members job to over see this, but when they were underhanded, they chose one of the other students to watch over them.

Looking around the room, Ruby was writing in her journal with Yang jumping into her makeshift bed next to Ruby. Yang was checking out the guys who are half naked. Jaune was dressed in blue full-body pajamas with blue bunny slippers and a white bunny face on his chest. She then looked at me and waved, with me waving back and over looking the room.
Seeing a candle light, I looked over towards it. I saw the black wavy haired girl reading. She wore a black yukata with gray and white as a secondary color setup. Yang grabbed Ruby's hand and took her to meet the girl. I started walking over to them from the other side of the room to tell them to go to bed as it was that time. The black hair girl was reading her book until she heard noises. She looked up over her book to see Yang dragging Ruby over to her.

Yang greeted her before Ruby's arm was finally released from her sister, where she crossed her arms and turned away. "What's yours?" I heard as I got closer.

"Blake." Blake said in annoyance. She then snapped her head towards me, with me knowing that she sensed my aura.
Ruby looks at the book that Blake was reading. "What's it about?" She asked as Blake looked at her with a surprised look.

"Your book. Does it have a name?" Ruby asked.

"Well… It's about a man with two souls, each fighting for control over his body." Blake answered.

"Oh yeah… that's real lovely…" Yang said.

"I love books. Yang used to read to me every night before bed. Stories of heroes and monsters… They're one of the reasons I want to be a Huntress." Ruby said, sounding happy.

"Why is that? Hoping you'll live happily ever after?" Blake asked, not really caring.

"I'm hoping we all will. As a girl, I want to be just like those heroes in the book. Someone who fought for what was right, and who protected people who couldn't protect themselves." Ruby answered, not getting the hint.

"That's very ambitious for a child. Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale." Blake said as she looked back at her book.

"That's why we're here…to make it better." Ruby said, smiling at her.

"Ohhh, I'm so proud of my baby sister!" Yang said dashing forward to Ruby before hugging her in the air.

"Cut it out!" Ruby said before she and Yang started to fight each other in cartoon fighting smoke.

"What in the world is going on over here!?" Weiss came from the other room because she heard a loud noise.

"Alright, all of you, back to bed!" I said once I got close enough, using my aura to separate the girls completely, shocking everyone who saw. "Sorry miss, but can you blow out the candle, the other need to sleep." I said, with Blake nodding as she blew the candles out, where everyone started going back to bed.
