Chapter 3

(Jump City)

While the 'Trinity', Red Hood, Power Girl, Nightwing, Zatanna, Hippolyta, Nubia, and Dr. Fate were talking to Nimueh, the trucks came back with the supplies for the stores and something for Jaune, Nimueh, Hippolyta, and Nubia. The island appeared before a building shaped like a giant 'T'. Jaune had come back in. "The island moved again." He said.

"Where are we?" Nimueh asked as she looked at him. His headset was on, and he was talking to one of his people as they told him what was happening.

"They don't know where we are, but they can see a building that is in the shape of a 'T'." He said.

Batman's eyes widen. "We're in 'Jump City'." He said, "That's 'Titan's Tower'.' Everyone came out of the manor to see what was going on, and sure enough, they were in Jump City. Titian's Tower was in front of them. Nightwing sighed.

"Oh boy," he said. "How are we going to run damage control?" Batman looked at his first protégé. "Jaune already hates you." Batman sighed.

(Beach)

Jaune, Robin, Beast Boy, and Cyborg were fighting. "RELEASE QUEEN HIPPOLYTA!" The Boy Wonder yelled. Jaune just picked him up and slammed him to the ground with his fist. Beast Boy went at him as a rhyno, and Jaune stopped him, lifted him, and tossed him to the Tower. He skipped like a stone; the other just watched in awe. Just then, the other members of the Titans, Cyborg, Eaven, Starfire, Terra, Arsenal, and Tempest, showed up and watched in stunned awe.

Jaune just looked at his handiwork, then he looked at the others. "Who's next?" He said calmly. Just then, Batman stopped them.

"Stop!" He said, "It was a misunderstanding." Robin slowly started to get up in pain.

"Misunderstanding?" Said Cyborg. "he skipped. Beast Boy!"

"I know, but he also defeated Red Hood, Power Girl, Nightwing, and Superman." They were in shock. "His wife defeated Wonder Woman, in her God armor, and myself." Now they were nervous. Someone that powerful is running around, and Batman doesn't have a plan for him?

"We'll tell you the story." Said Jaune. So they went back to the manor.

(Manor, 2 hours later)

"And that's it." Said Nimueh. "The Amazons have trespassed." The Titans were understanding, then Raven spoke up.

"Will anyone be watching over Nimueh and make sure she doesn't take over Jaune?" She asked.

"I am planning on staying with them." Said Zatanna. "If you want…"

"Yes, if it means that I can get away from my father." Jaune looked at Nimueh.

"You can stay, little one." She said.

"Choose a room." Said Jaune.

"Wait!" Said Beast Boy. "What about the team?"

"What about the planet, Gar?" She asked, "I'm sure Trigon still wants the planet and where they are going, I'm sure I'm going to be safe."

"Oh yeah," chuckled Jaune. "He don't want any of Remnant. Salem would have him for lunch and force him to say; 'Thank you, Ma'am, Can I Have Another?' Don't worry about her." Gar was heartbroken, but not because Raven was leaving. Power Girl, Red Hood, and Zatanna also went to get a room.

(Time to leave, beach)

"Now Diana, I'll trust you to protect your sisters and Themscaria." Said Hippolyta.

"Yes mother," she said.

"I'll keep you informed over Nimueh." Said Zatanna to Nabu.

"I will appreciate it." He said that the heroes left with that.

"Well, ready?" Said Jaune as he held his arm out. Nimueh smiled and grabbed his arm.

"Let's go," she said. So, the island had taken off.

(Manor)

As the island was moving, Jaune and Nimueh had went to their home and met up with their neighbor, Summer Rose. "Jaune!" She said as she hugged him. She was relaxing with Karen and Zatanna. Everyone was sitting down, drinking coffee.

"Hi Summer," he said they hugged tightly. They were talking, making sure everyone was settling in alright.

"This is a huge house." Said Karen.

"Yeah, I have a huge family." Said Jaune.

"So what all can this island do, Arc?" Asked Jason.

"Go through time, dimensions, universes. It can defend us and itself."

"And we everything we need?" Asked Raven.

"Yeah, whatever you want, we got it, and if we don't have it, we can get it." Raven nodded.

"Now, do you feel your father?" Asked Nimueh.

"No, but I do need someone to draw my powers on."

"What do you say Nim?" Asked Jaune.

"Alright, but I also request that she enters a coven with you." Jaune blushed at that. Raven was gorgeous! Raven looked at him and blushed as she thought he was handsome.

"Um, if she doesn't mind." He said, "I don't." So, it was decided that Jaune and Raven were going into a coven with Nimueh.

(Raven's room)

Raven was meditating, finally relaxing now that she was far away from her father. She can be herself finally. Then there was knock on her door. "Come in," she said.

It was Jaune. "um, hey." He said, "How are you settling in?"

"Fine, I just want to thank you for allowing me to stay with you."

"It wasn't just me."

"I'll make sure to thank Nimueh as well."

"Yeah, so you are enjoying yourself?" She nodded. "Good, you just relax and enjoy the ride." With that, he left and went to make dinner.

The aroma of simmering herbs and roasting meat wafted through the halls of the ever-shifting manor. Inside, the atmosphere was a strange blend of superheroic stoicism, magical intrigue, and the simple comfort of a shared meal preparing. Jump City, and the Titans, felt a distant memory, replaced by the immediate reality of forging a new, bizarre family.

Jaune, usually more comfortable with a sword than a spatula, orchestrated the dinner preparations with surprising competence. Summer Rose, ever the supportive and maternal figure, offered guidance, her silver eyes twinkling with amusement. Karen, still somewhat overwhelmed by the sheer scale of everything, helped chop vegetables, marveling at the magically enhanced kitchen knives.

In the living room, Nimueh sat regally, overseeing Zatanna as she helped Power Girl unpack. The air crackled with latent power, a subtle hum that resonated from the ancient sorceress. Jason Todd, leaning against the doorway, watched the scene with a mixture of skepticism and grudging acceptance. This whole situation was insane, even by his standards.

The island, meanwhile, drifted lazily through the dimensional currents, its protective wards humming, a sanctuary carved from chaos.

Meanwhile, Raven was still in her room, the lingering tension of her past life slowly bleeding away. The quiet hum of the island, the promise of safety and acceptance, was a balm to her weary soul. Jaune's tentative visit had been unexpected, a simple act of kindness that resonated deeper than he probably realized.

The knock at her door shortly after startled her.

"Come in." She responded, composing herself.

The door opened and Nimueh stepped inside, her gaze piercing and knowing.

"Raven," the sorceress began, her voice low and resonant, "You carry a great darkness within you, but also a potent light. Jaune senses this, and so do I. The coven we offer is not merely a formality, but a bond, a weaving of energies that will protect us all."

Raven listened intently, her violet eyes unwavering. She had always been cautious of others, afraid of unleashing the darkness that threatened to consume her. But in Nimueh's presence, she felt a sense of calm, a feeling that she could finally be herself.

"I understand," Raven said, her voice barely a whisper. "But what is expected of me?"

"Loyalty, trust, and a willingness to embrace the power within you. In return, we offer you protection, guidance, and a place to belong." Nimueh paused, her eyes softening slightly. "And perhaps, in time, even love."

Raven's cheeks flushed at the implication. The thought of a romantic connection with Jaune was both terrifying and exhilarating. He was kind, strong, and surprisingly gentle. A stark contrast to the darkness she had been surrounded by her entire life.

"I… I will consider it," Raven stammered.

Nimueh smiled knowingly. "Time will tell. For now, come. Dinner is almost ready, and a coven must break bread together."

As Raven followed Nimueh to the dining room, she couldn't help but feel a sense of hope blossoming within her. For the first time in her life, she felt like she belonged somewhere.

Dinner was a boisterous affair, filled with laughter, playful banter, and the clatter of cutlery. Jaune, beaming, sat at the head of the table, his arm casually draped around Nimueh's shoulders. Summer Rose regaled everyone with stories from her past, while Karen and Jason engaged in a surprisingly animated debate about the merits of different combat styles. Zatanna, ever the entertainer, conjured illusions with her food, much to everyone's amusement.

Raven, sitting beside Jaune, felt a warmth spread through her chest. She wasn't sure what the future held, but in that moment, surrounded by this bizarre, loving family, she knew she was finally home.

As the evening drew to a close, and the island continued its journey through the dimensional currents, a new chapter was beginning for Jaune, Nimueh, Raven, and the rest of their unlikely companions. A chapter filled with magic, adventure, and the promise of a brighter future, woven together by the bonds of friendship, loyalty, and the ever-present possibility of love.

The glow of the hearth cast dancing shadows on the faces gathered around the table. After dinner, as a comfortable silence settled, Jaune cleared his throat. "So," he began, a nervous energy underlying his jovial tone, "What's next? We've kinda stumbled into this... situation. We're a team now, right? Or...a coven? A weird super-powered family?"

Summer chuckled, patting his hand. "All of the above, dearie. But a family needs purpose. What do we want to do with this...unique setup?"

Zatanna, perched on the arm of the sofa, twirled a strand of hair. "Well, sdrawkcab speaking, we could use our powers for good! Save people, fight baddies... you know, the usual superhero gig, kcab ot deen uoy fi."

Jason scoffed. "Please. We're stuck on a floating island in who-knows-where. Saving the world is kind of off the table."

"Not necessarily," Nimueh interjected, her eyes gleaming. "This island travels through dimensional currents. We could, in theory, choose our destinations. Offer aid where it is needed. Intervene where injustice prevails."

Power Girl straightened up. "I like that idea. I've seen enough suffering in my time. We could use our abilities to make a real difference."

Karen nodded enthusiastically. "Me too! I'm still learning to control my powers, but I want to help."

Raven listened quietly, observing the passionate discussion. The idea of using her powers for good was appealing, but the fear of losing control still lingered.

Jaune looked at Raven, sensing her hesitation. "Raven, your opinion matters too. What do you think?"

All eyes turned to her. Raven took a deep breath, trying to quell the anxiety churning within her. "I... I agree that we should help people. But I need to learn to control my powers first. I don't want to hurt anyone."

Nimueh smiled reassuringly. "That is why we are here for you, Raven. We will guide you, teach you, and help you master your abilities. We will face this together."

A wave of relief washed over Raven. She was no longer alone in her struggle. She had a family now, a coven, a team – whatever they were, they were there for her.

"Alright," Jaune said, his voice filled with renewed determination. "Let's do this. Nimueh, can you control where the island goes?"

"To a degree," Nimueh replied. "I can influence its course, but I need knowledge of the destinations. Tell me where you wish to go, and I will see what I can do."

A brainstorming session ensued, filled with suggestions and ideas. Eventually, they settled on a plan. They would start by seeking out a dimension known for its rampant corruption and injustice, a world where their combined powers could make a significant impact.

As the island shifted and groaned, preparing for its next journey, a sense of anticipation filled the air. The future was uncertain, but one thing was clear: this unlikely group of heroes, witches, and vigilantes was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, together. The aroma of adventure, far stronger than simmering herbs, now filled the halls.

The next morning dawned with a crisp, otherworldly light. The island hummed with a quiet energy, a palpable sense of readiness. After a quick breakfast of magically preserved berries and Jaune's surprisingly decent attempt at eggs, they gathered on the highest point of the island, a windswept plateau overlooking the strange and beautiful landscape.

Nimueh stood at the edge, her staff planted firmly in the ground. She closed her eyes, her brow furrowed in concentration. "I have locked onto the dimensional currents," she announced, her voice barely audible above the wind. "We will arrive in approximately eight hours. Prepare yourselves."

The day that followed was a whirlwind of preparation. Power Girl and Karen practiced their flight, pushing their limits and honing their control. Zatanna reviewed her spellbook, muttering incantations under her breath, her fingers tracing the ancient symbols. Jason, ever the pragmatist, began sharpening his weapons, his face grim. Summer, with her gentle guidance, helped Raven navigate the labyrinth of her own mind, teaching her techniques to control her emotions and channel her powers.

Jaune, meanwhile, felt a pang of inadequacy. He was surrounded by beings of immense power, capable of feats he could only dream of. All he had was his sword and his unwavering determination. But he knew he had a role to play. He was the glue that held them together, the voice of reason and optimism. He spent the day familiarizing himself with the layout of the island, making sure the defenses were in order, and planning for any eventuality. He also took Raven aside.

"Hey," he said, his voice gentle. "How are you feeling?"

Raven shrugged, avoiding eye contact. "Nervous. Scared."

"That's okay," Jaune replied. "It's okay to be scared. But you're not alone. We're all here for you." He paused, then added, "You know, I'm kind of scared too. I'm not as powerful as the rest of you. I don't have magic or super strength. But I'll do my best to protect you, all of you."

Raven finally looked up, a flicker of gratitude in her eyes. "Thank you, Jaune."

As the day wore on, the island began to tremble. The air crackled with energy. The sky swirled with iridescent colors. They were approaching their destination.

Nimueh raised her staff, her eyes glowing with power. "Brace yourselves!" she shouted. "We are entering the dimensional fold!"

The world around them dissolved into a chaotic kaleidoscope of light and color. They were flung through a swirling vortex, their bodies buffeted by unimaginable forces. The screams of the island echoed through the void.

Then, just as suddenly as it began, the chaos subsided. The island emerged from the swirling vortex, settling into a new reality. The air was thick with the stench of decay and despair. The sky was a perpetual twilight, casting long, ominous shadows.

Below them, a sprawling city stretched as far as the eye could see. Buildings were dilapidated, streets were choked with filth, and the faces of the people were gaunt and hollow. The air hung heavy with oppression.

"Welcome," Nimueh said, her voice grim, "to the city of Veridia. May we be able to bring some light to its darkness."

Jaune unsheathed his sword, the steel glinting in the dim light. "Let's get to work."
