FAKE MEXICAN
Where an actor born from another country gives off a fabricated Mexican accent.
Examples
Films-Animation:
* The Book Of Life: Only a majority of the voice actors are latino-born. As for the ones that aren't but still voice the latino-based characters...
* American Ron Perlman voices Mexican God Xibalba.
* U.S. born voice actress Grey Griffin voices Monolo's great-grandmother and she was originally brought in to do the scratch voice.
* Coco: American Pixar regular John Ratzenberger voices a minor character in the Land of the Dead.
* Britsh-born Alfred Molina voices the villain Lasombra in Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie.
* Puss In Boots: Animator Chris Miller voices a majority of Spanish characters.
* Again, Molina manages to pull off a convincing Spanish accent for an armadillo in the Nickelodeon movie Rango.
Films-Live Action:
* In quite possibly one of the most famous examples of this is with American actor Mandy Patinkin's portrayal as the Spaniard Inigo Montoya in the film adaptation of The Princess Bride.
Western Animation:
* El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera: Similar to ''The Book of Life'' (which had the same creator Jorge R. Gutierrez), a majority of the American actors and actresses voice Hispanic characters.
* An in-Universe from King of the Hill. Peggy is a substitute Spanish instructor and while her pronunciation of the language is more-or-less passable, she often butchers at least every third word just to show off her ego.
* My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: Canadian voice actors Brian Drummond and Michael Dobson gives recurring antagonists Ahuizotl and Dr. Cabelleron very thick Spanish accents (for the former, the very species of an Ahuizotl is part of Aztec Mythology).
