It was a nice, sunny day. Over by a small market next to the dock, Ella was paying for some homemade soap. "Thank you very much," she politely replied. "Have a good day." She started to walk down to another stall and noticed a slightly pudgy girl with a brown ponytail, a pink jacket and skirt a long with purple sneakers and a purple-and-blue swirled shirt sitting on one of the docks. "Excuse me," Ella spoke up, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," the girl replied. "Just waiting for a friend to return. He's planning to return from sea today and we were planning to hang out. Oh, name's Staci, by the way. Hey, you're that Ella girl from Pahkitew Island, aren't you? Wow! Meeting a celeb in person!"
"Uh, I wouldn't say I'm a celebrity. But how did you know?"
"Oh, I was on Total Drama, too...although I didn't last long."
"Staci...Was it Revenge of the Island?"
"Yes! That's it." The two girls then noticed a wooden ship pulling into the port. "He's here!" Staci cheered. "Anthony! Over here!" A boy with brown shorts, brown boots, a ragged blue-and-white striped shirt, a black bandana covering his short black hair, a small goatee and an eyepatch over one eye walked off the pier and onto the dock. "Staci, my little sea anemone," he greeted as he gave Staci a hug. "How have you been?"
"Just great," Staci happily replied. "Anthony, guess who I bumped into? Look!"
"Hey, you're the princess from Pahkitew, aren't you?"
"I never realized I was that popular," Ella humbly thought.
"Oh, yeah," Staci informed her. "The TD blogs I've seen have you as one of the most popular people from Pahkitew."
"Speaking of the show," Anthony put in, "Have you heard the news? Apparently, there's a new season of it with a new cast. The host says it was rebooted."
"Chris? Shouldn't he be in jail at this point after what he did to everyone on that show? It took months for my hair to regrow back to normal length again."
"A new season?" Ella gasped with excitement. "Oh, I'd love to see it and meet the new cast!"
"Quite the chipper dolphin, eh?" Anthony teased. "Hey, maybe we can invite some of the old cast to watch it? There's going to be a marathon of it this upcoming Saturday and I'm gonna be having my land legs for a while. You can even host it at my place."
"Are you sure?" Staci thought. "I don't want to be rude or anything. Besides, who would we even invite?"
"How about the people that competed with us?" Ella suggested.
"You mean the Revenge and Pahkitew casts? Uh, I suppose, but there are a few that are...rough around the edges."
"I'll make sure they stay in line," Anthony assured Staci. "Now, time to get the old land legs ready."
"I can send invitations," Ella volunteered.
"A few will need some strong persuasion, though. Let me handle the tougher folks, okay?"
"And we should prepare snacks and drinks and comfy places to sit," Staci finished. "Well, let's get to work!"
...
At a large mansion, Dakota was busy modeling a dress. Her appearance had returned to a more normal look since her time on the show, but she still retained her tail, some orange coloring on her arms, green streaks in her blonde hair and quite a bit of her height. "Uh, may I come in now?" Sam asked from the other side of the door.
"Don't worry, Sam," Dakota assured him. "I have clothes on." She noticed Sam entering the room with a note in his hand. "What's that?"
"It's an invite," Sam explained. "Staci and Ella are inviting the Revenge and Pahkitew casts for a casual binge-watching day for the new TD season."
"Ugh, not sure if I want to deal with that show anymore. Can't say I left on the best of terms."
"With the mutation or with getting voted out by a 'friend'?"
"You talking about Zoey? Well... Um, anyway, I doubt we can refuse such an invite. Might as well get ready to go. Thinking casual...Oh, that simple light-blue dress I have will do, and you can go in a game shirt with some shorts. It'll be warm."
"Yeah, okay. Oh, we should probably bring some snacks. Uh, how about some simple chips? Plain, dill pickle and barbecue flavors. Oh, and I can whip up a quick ranch dip for them."
"Nice. I can also bring some blankets for us to share. Not exactly feel cozy sitting on another guest's floor."
...
Over by a robotics lab, B was adjusting some mechanical arms when he got a note. He looked down at it and smiled.
...
"Twenty-six..." Brick groaned as he did some pull-ups on a bar at the gym. "Twenty-seven...twenty...eight..."
"You call that a work-out?" a boy teased. "I can do your amount in a third of the time." Brick turned to see a boy with dark skin, a gray shirt, white shorts with a blue 'K' on the bottom, dark hair that was pulled back and blue boxing gloves on his hands. "So I'm not as good as you, Keith," Brick shrugged. "I've still got room to improve. How about we try the weights?"
"Sure," Keith shrugged as he walked over to some weights, "But don't be surprised if I kick your ass yet again." He started lifting up a weight...or what he thought was a weight. "Whee!" a voice squealed. "Whee!" Brick and Keith paused a moment and then looked over to see Keith holding a girl with a ginger braid, a green body suit with a blue wreath on the chest, a green eye mask, green boots, green ribbon on her arms and a green cape. "Phoebe!" Brick gasped. "I thought we told you not to play around like that in the gym. You can get hurt if you're not careful."
"But I didn't touch that stuff," Phoebe defended. "Oh, I also found this letter to you, Brick. Some girl named Ella sent it." Brick took the letter and glanced over it. "It seems I've been invited to watch the rebooting of Total Drama," he noted. "We're going to meet at the house of Staci's friend. It's a day's trip away about."
"Oh, cool!" Phoebe gushed. "This sounds like it'll be a blast!"
"Whoa, hold on. I never said you were coming. The invite was for me and me alone."
"Please, Brick? Can we come?"
"Yeah, cadet," Keith agreed with some pleading eyes. "It won't hurt anyone. Plus, I can help keep any of those trouble-causing idiots in line."
"Fine," Brick sighed in defeat, "But we'd better get ready now if we want to make it in time."
"We can go as is. I've got money for gassing up your jeep. And the squirt there always has a go-to travel bag packed."
"And Pete," Phoebe added. "We're ready to go! Yay!"
"Alright, then," Brick decided. "Let's move out!"
...
At another home, Zoey was struggling to push a chair against the wall. "There," she sighed. "That looks good." She looked around at the living room, which had a cozy couch, some red lamps and picture frames hanging on the walls. She smiled as she saw a frame with her, Mike and Cameron smiling. "The place looks great, Zoey," Mike complimented as he wrapped his girlfriend in a hug. "But if you needed help with the furniture..."
"I'll ask," Zoey assured him. "That the mail?"
"Yeah. Someone sent us an invite to watch some TD reboot. Apparently, the Revenge and Pahkitew casts will both be there. Sounds exciting, doesn't it?"
"Uh, well...maybe. I mean, after our last performance, I'm not sure everyone will be okay with us. I'm a bit concerned for you especially."
"It'll be okay. We have each other. Besides, there's still a few people we're still on good terms with."
"Yeah, you're right. Uh, speaking of which, should we check to see if our friends got this notice?" Zoey started typing a number on her phone. "Please tell me you're not calling Scott first," Mike moaned.
"I don't complain about you and Anne-Maria still being buddy-buddy," Zoey countered. "Oh, hi, Scott. It's Zoey. I was calling to see if you... You got the invite, too? Planning to bring a pie? Uh, don't trouble yourself, Scott. Your last pie was, um, well, maybe do something simpler if you're gonna bring something, okay? Thank you. See you then." After she hung up the phone, she let out a breath. "I kept Scott from bringing a pie. He's a lot of things, but a cook is not one of them."
"No kidding," Mike scoffed. "Hey, you think we should bring some snacks to this binge-watching?"
"Oh, I've got boatloads of blueberries in the fridge. How does blueberry muffins sound?"
"Great!" Mike then noticed his cell phone ringing. "Hello?" he answered. "Oh, hey, Cam. Yeah, I got an invite along with Zoey. Yeah, things are getting better. Coming by bus? Okay, thanks for the heads-up. See you there." As soon as he hung up, the phone rang again. "Anne-Maria, I was about to call. You get the invite? No, I doubt these Pahkitew guys are complete weirdos. Besides, we've all have our quirks. You're not still driving with your feet, are you? Good. Zoey and I will see you then."
"Ready to make the muffins?" Zoey asked as she grabbed a basket of blueberries from the fridge after Mike hung up the phone again.
"Let's go for it."
...
Over by another gym, Jo was busy punching a bag when she noticed someone stepping through the doorway. She frowned as a small group formed around the figure. "OMG, it's Lightning!" one girl squealed.
"You were so amazing," another figure complimented.
"Done so dirty in that All Stars season," a third commented. Lightning simply flashed a grin to the crowd. "None of you are wrong," he boasted as he flexed his biceps. "Guess the good thing 'bout leaving that season early is that I didn't deal with the shit later on. Plus, Jo didn't enjoy that so-called win." He soon noticed Jo standing nearby with a frown. "Y'all hold back a sec." He walked over to Jo. "Speak of the sha-devil. Same old stuff like you did before the show? Guess you never really gained anything like the Lightning did!"
"Really?" Jo challenged. "I've got claim as top gun here in the gym, and I've never had my face planted on the tabloids regarding my daddy issues."
"Hey, don't you dare drag Pops into this!"
"Well, how about we settle this once and for all? Chatterbox apparently sent this dumb invite for this gathering for us. How about we race on foot to get there? First one there wins infinite bragging rights."
"You're on!" The duo rushed out of the gym. "Go, Lightning!" the crowd cheered. "Beat Jo!"
...
At a park not too far away, Sky was panting as she ran on the sidewalk. Her mind was a bit of a blur after she had received the invitation. Considering all who would return...Sugar...Dave...Beardo... Huh? She then noticed Beardo sitting on one of the benches as he fed some bread crumbs to a pigeon. The pigeon cooed, which Beardo repeated back. "Sky!" he greeted when he saw the Olympian. "Long time no see."
"Oh, hey," Sky nervously replied as she walked over. "Uh, what are you doing?"
"Just giving the birds some spare bread I had, along with practicing my bird calls. Think I got pigeon mastered."
"Huh. That's pretty good."
"So, um, you get that invite, too?" Sky simply looked down at the ground. "Nervous about meeting the people, huh?" Beardo guessed.
"I wouldn't say I left the show on great terms," Sky sighed. "Not to mention that there's some open wounds there."
"With...Dave?" Sky simply flinched at the boy's name. "I-I'm sure there won't be much trouble," Beardo stammered. "And I'm kinda nervous about going, too. I mean, I never really met up with the other team or the Revenge guys. Makes the nerves, you know..." He imitated a washing machine. "Churn. But I'm sure it'll be okay."
"Still..." Sky pondered.
"Ella could keep Dave under control, and no one's saying you have to talk with him."
"Okay. I'll go. Might as well get a start now. The invite said it's on Saturday, so we need to leave. I should also prepare some snacks for the others."
"I can grab some Dr. Cherry soda."
"Okay, and I'll grab some trail mix for the more...health-conscious like myself."
"I can respect that. Onward!" Beardo made the sound of a rushing airplane as he ran off, while Sky simply looked down at her invite. "Maybe it won't be so bad," she thought.
...
Over by a bus station, Cameron was looking over at the schedule paper. "This bus should let me reach my destination the quickest," he reasoned. He saw the bus pull up and got on. He walked towards the back and took a seat, where he saw a blonde girl reading a book, obscuring her face. "Oh, a book on insects," Cameron noted. "Very interesting. My personal favorites are butterflies, even though some of the caterpillars are dangerous to touch."
"I prefer bees," the girl stated. "They have much more use for the general ecosystem and much better defense against predation."
"Their stingers are usually a one-time deal, though. Oh, I'm Cameron, by the way." The girl simply kept reading. "Uh, hello to you, too," Cameron nervously said. He then noticed a familiar paper sticking out of her coat pocket. "You got an invite to the Reboot watching, too?" he asked. "So did I! You must be from the Pahkitew cast, huh?"
"You could say that," the girl replied.
"Could you maybe tell me your name? I can't say I recognize the appearance."
"I'll say once we get there. No point wasting breath explaining over and over again."
"Uh, I guess that makes sense." The bus suddenly screeched to a stop, making Cameron lurch forward. "Sorry, passengers," a voice announced. "We have a slight delay from schedule due to a flat tire. Please stay seated as we get the issue resolved."
"Maybe I should've brought a book or two to read," Cameron sighed.
...
"Now to combine these ingredients to make my grandest concoction yet!" Leonard declared. He simply switched the blender on, blending the bananas, vanilla ice cream and graham crackers up into a swirl. "Hey, Leonard," Tammy greeted as she stepped into the kitchen. "Oh, you making your Monkey Milkshakes? I love those!"
"Indeed," Leonard replied as he poured it into glasses. "Figured I might bring nourishment to this quest I am to embark on. I only wish you could partake in it, too."
"Sorry, but the royal stables need looking after with the owner taking a day off. Plus, I'm not sure if I'd want to be in the same room as Sugar. I've heard some awful stuff about her."
"She can't be that bad...could she?"
"Leonard, she tormented Ella and Sky for kicks. And with us being friends, I think she might get the wrong idea and-"
"Okay, okay. I'll try to make sure to keep Sugar tame, especially around the other damsels. But I still feel bummed you can't go."
"Oh, maybe you can call in every so often to check in. That way, it still feels like I'm part of the action."
"Grand idea, Tammy. But I'd better call you, lest I incur the ire of the gathering. Now to pack supplies." Leonard secured the milkshakes in a cooler bag and his cell phone into his pocket. "Farewell, Leonard!" Tammy cheered on. "May fortuitous winds blow your way!"
"I thank thee, Tammy," Leonard giggled back as he left the house.
...
"Okay, shoot's over," a voice told Topher.
"Oh, thank goodness," Topher breathed out as he stepped away from the camera. "If I kept smiling, I think my jaw would've fallen off."
"Aw, is Pretty Boy getting a cramp?" a voice taunted. Topher turned to see a familiar face approaching him. She had her blonde hair in a ponytail, a red jacket over a white tank top, skinny jeans and a pair of red heels. "And a good afternoon to you, too, Amy," Topher greeted. "Looks like that cosmetic commercial was a pretty big hit."
"Please," Amy scoffed. "I should be on the big screen now, not wasting my beauty on this junk."
"Hey, it may be just commercials for make-up and toothpaste, but we're still gaining camera time. And besides, most stars started with baby steps. Learned that one the hard way. So, we've got time to spare now. Wanna swing by that TD airing Ella's hosting? Heard the new season is something grand."
"Since I've got nothing better to do. Besides, rubbing in our success, even if minor, will be so great, especially with Samey. Ugh, the loser."
"I do wonder what she's up to. Haven't heard from her since she got booted."
...
Inside a tiny home, Samey let out a shaky breath as she read over the letter again. Going back...with all those people...and Amy... Samey then switched on her computer, illuminating the tiny home and revealing her new attire. She now wore a blue plaid skirt, a white blouse with a blue-plaid tie, blue sneakers with pink socks, and a stitch-heart headband in her long hair. She noticed two video calls for her, so she pressed PLAY, pulling up two other boys. "Hey, Sol and Lucas," she greeted. "So, uh, any updates?"
"Same old over here," the dark-skinned boy with a yellow tank-top and dark hair replied. "Managed to get some chicken today." He heard some shouting in the distance. "Talking with my friend, Granny! And it's SOL, not Solstice! U-u-uh, yes, Granny."
"You call that an accomplishment?" the other tan-skinned boy dressed in a blue shirt, shorts and messy brown hair boasted. "I got this new Wolverine action figure and I'm one of the best in the wrestling ring."
"Yeah, like owning a fancy doll is an accomplishment, Lucas."
"Watch it, Fire Breath! So, how are things over there, amiga?"
"I, uh, got an invite to this reunion watch thing," Samey stammered. "Everyone from Revenge and Pahkitew will be there. I just feel like bad blood will rise again, especially with that blasted twin sister of mine."
"Yeah, that little bruja is a pain, isn't she? I'd join you to help, Sammy, but Buenos Aires is far away from you. I can't make it in time."
"For once, I agree with that klutz," Sol added. "Doesn't help that your supposed 'friends' bailed on you for each other."
"I know," Samey sniffled. "Just that feeling of being forgotten..." She winced as she heard a loud BOOM! "Sorry to cut this short, Sammy," Sol apologized. "I'd better fix whatever Luna blew up this time. I wish you good luck and don't forget those little tricks I taught you in case Amy gives you a hard time."
"That goes double for me," Lucas told Samey. "Give her a few smacks from your buddy over here." The video call ended, leaving Samey in the dark. "Might as well get it over with," she sighed. "Hmm, maybe I can use some of the stuff Sol taught me to get there. Here goes..." She closed her eyes and crossed her arms, and she vanished in a flash of electricity.
...
Over by a farm, Rodney was gathering apples in a basket. He then heard a loud HONK from afar. "Rodney!" a boy shouted. "Taxi's coming!"
"Thanks, Jesse," Rodney replied as he hopped down from a stool. He walked over to the road, where he saw a taxi drop off a tall girl with long blonde hair, a white sweater, a brown vest, black leggings and brown booties. "Helga!" Rodney cheered as he gave her a hug. "Glad you came to visit."
"Of course," Helga replied with her Russian accent as the duo walked inside the house. "You keeping things in order here?"
"Uh-huh, but I actually have to be leaving soon. Got an invite for a viewing for the entire Pahkitew cast and Revenge cast. I'm even bringing a treat there: some savory bread and some marinara sauce to dip it in. Want to try it?" Helga tried a spoonful of the sauce. "A bit sweet, isn't it?" she thought.
"Well, Archie did help with it," Rodney defended. "You know how much of a sweet tooth he has. And the bread should help balance the flavors."
"Ah."
"Hey, maybe you can join this party. If you don't mind."
"Perhaps. What about your other friend?"
"Nikki? I'd ask, but she's busy on a date with her girlfriend and I don't want to rock their love boat. So, what do you say?"
"Hmm, sounds good. Besides, I did hear of some of those Revenge people and I will keep order if they decide to act up."
"Great! Oh, wait, before we leave..." Rodney poked his head through the hall. "Jesse, you're in charge while I'm away," he instructed. "Keep the twins from acting up and Archie from robbing the cookie jar. Oh, and make sure Simon gets cleaned up after he's done gardening. Don't wanna come home to a muddy floor, okay?"
"Good planning, teddy bear," Helga teased with a gentle nudge. "Gather up food and we will head out."
...
Max was busy organizing some baby bottles inside a bag before passing them to an associate. "Ideal temperature for formula," he instructed. "Along with rattlers safe for infants to chew on without any choking hazards. Now go forth and tame the future minion!" The young girl simply rolled her eyes before heading out. Max then picked up the ringing phone. "Every Villain Is Lemony Childcare Services," he greeted. "How many I train your minions today? Oh, Ella. Yes, I do recall you from our last encounter. Hmm, free on Saturday? Yes, that is the current schedule as of late. I shall be there to showcase my EVIL genius! Good day." He hung up the phone. "I'm going to a reunion," he told the receptionist. "Carrie, since you're taking on my shift, here's a few notes for my client, Mister Jacob Campbell. Age of seven. Favorite cartoons are of superheroes and game shows. Sensitivity to glucose. Mother requested him eating more veggies, so I recommend celery and peanut butter as a snack if needed. You got that? Excellent. I shall take my leave."
...
On a dusty road, Shawn was driving himself and Jasmine towards the reunion. "Shouldn't be much longer before we get there," Jasmine noted as she glanced at a road map.
"I'm kinda excited to see some familiar faces," Shawn commented. "How about you?"
"Not in particular. Think about who's gonna be there: the egotistical Topher, the obnoxious Sugar, the murderous Scarlett, the cruel Amy, the psychotic Dave..."
"Not exactly the choice of words I'd use to describe them all. But there were some good people there, like Ella and Samey. Sky and Rodney were pretty decent, too. Plus, there's the thirteen from Revenge we can meet with."
"Oh, sure. Meet up with the mutant, the scummy dirt eater, the competitive jocks and-"
"Hey, let's not be too judgy just yet. We don't even know them too much. They could be different from what the TV showed them. After all, you know how much Chris loved to screw different scenarios for his sick pleasure. It's shocking he got another season to host."
"Maybe...but I'm not getting my hopes up."
"Fine. Hey, I think I'm starting to smell sea water. The house is close to a port, right?"
"According to the map, it should be. Let's hit it!" Shawn sped up a bit, making Jasmine lurch forward.
...
Sugar was busy putting some make-up on as she sat in front of a vanity when a letter was passed to her. "Huh?" she thought. "Leonard! The wizard! An invite to a party? I'M COMING, WIZARD!" She quickly ran off.
...
At another home, Ella had pedaled her bike and set it next to the mailbox. She let out a breath before walking up to the door and giving it a knock. A young girl with white glasses over her dark eyes, a yellow shirt with a Togetic pictured on it and a pair of green shorts opened the door. "Hello, Emily," Ella greeted. "Is David home?"
"DAVE!" Emily shouted. "Your girlfriend's here!" Dave, though he now had heavy bags under his eyes and his hair was frazzled, simply yawned as he stepped to the doorway. "We're not a thing, Emily," he groggily told her. "Now, you mind leaving us in peace? This is a private talk. Maybe go play with those Pokemon toys you're into."
"Okay!" Emily exclaimed before running back inside. "Whoosh! I'm a Pidgeot!"
"Still energetic as usual," Ella giggled. "So, are you doing alright, David?"
"Just trying to take it one day at a time," Dave sighed. "And trying not to deal with all that social media trash flowing. You?"
"Well, I wanted to invite you to a little event today. Everyone from Revenge and Pahkitew will join together to watch the new Total Drama season. I figured asking personally might be better since-"
"I shouldn't go."
"But...but why?"
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because everyone will see me as a complete monster even more than the likes of Scarlett? I didn't exactly leave the best impression, you know."
"You know that's not true. It'll be okay. I'll be there and some other friends will help, too."
"What other friends?! Sky hates my guts, same with Jasmine, and even Shawn ditched me in favor of his girlfriend. The rest are either annoying or insufferable." Dave was taken aback by Ella's sudden hug. "Easy on the back," he groaned.
"You just look like you needed a hug," Ella softly told him.
"Ella...you're too good for a guy like me."
"Don't say that," Ella said as she carefully rubbed his back. "You might not be a perfect guy. You might argue, not even put up a good one. However, you're far from being a monster. You're a human being with feelings and those feelings got out of control. There's nothing that can be done about that."
"But-" Dave was about to say.
"What has been done has been done. While you can't change it, you still can be better. You can make sure that low point doesn't define who you are, and I know that's the case because under the snark and anger and frustration, there's a dedicated, accepting and kind soul."
"You...really think that of me?" Dave asked with a small sob.
"I do," Ella replied as the duo looked each other in the eye. "I believe you're a good person at the end of the day. What happened on that island was a mix of many things, and while I can't pretend you were a complete saint in it, I don't believe everything was your fault." Dave wiped away his tears and took a breath. "Okay," he decided. "I...I'll come. But...I'm also not gonna get my hopes up. Just want you to know, Ella."
"Alright," Ella noted with a respectful nod. "I suggest returning by bike. It would be less stressful."
"And because you've flunked drivers' ed quite a few times, too," Dave joked.
"Hey, there's that little bit of positivity you've been searching for. Well, come on." The duo started pedaling towards the reunion.
...
Back by a large, deep-blue house sitting near the beach, Anthony was slicing up different cheeses and putting them on a board with some deli meats. "Oh, that charcuterie board is looking great," Staci complimented as she adjusted some chairs and blankets. "You want to add olives and some jams?"
"Maybe black olives," Anthony thought. "Cheddar, Swiss, pepper jack and mozzarella should do with cheeses. Ham, turkey and salami for meats. How you handling seating arraignments?"
"Got the bigger chairs in the back for the taller people and simple blankets for the shorter folks. My Aunt Petunia always complained whenever she went to movie theaters about never being able to see the movie because the tall people getting the front row seats. Then again, she was only five feet tall..." Anthony simply had a slight chuckle. "Thanks for the spun yarn, my chatty mermaid," he teased. "And that experience will help die down complaints." He noticed a beeping sound. "Oh, there's the popcorn. The butter and ranch seasonings should be optional if the guests want to add some."
"You think we'll have enough food? Aside from the hosts, AKA us and Ella, we'll have two dozen people here."
"I did make a fairly big batch of popcorn. Besides, everyone will be busy talking with each other and commenting on the show to each much. I've also got plenty of refreshments covered, too. Cola, Mountain Mist Lemon-Lime soda, water, milk to have either plain, chocolate or strawberry, root beer and even some apple juice."
"Okay, then." The duo suddenly heard some claps of lightning. "A storm?" Anthony wondered. "There were supposed to be fair winds and clear skies today." A loud BOOM! was then heard, startling him off his feet. "Maybe Ella crashed her bike," Staci gasped. "I'll check." She opened the door but was surprised to see a soot-covered Samey trying to wipe herself clean. "Anthony!" Staci cried out. "I think this girl's been struck by a sudden jolt of lightning!"
"You could say that," Samey coughed out. "May I come in and get straightened up? This is the right place for the reunion, right?"
"You must be from the Pahkitew cast, then. Come on in. You're early, so you should have some time to freshen up in the bathroom, Amy."
"It's SAMMY!"
"Okay, okay," Anthony said, trying to calm things down. "Sorry for the confusion. Um, maybe freshen up and get any frustration washed off." Samey let out a sigh. "Might be a good call," she decided.
"It's down the hall, door labeled with a helmet," Anthony advised. "Don't want you getting lost." He then turned to Staci. "Forgot how...problematic the twins' case was." KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK. "Another early guest," Staci said. "I got it." She opened the door and saw Brick standing outside. "Greetings, Staci," he began. "Thanks for the invite. And, um, I may have brought some unexpected company with me."
"Jo?" Staci guessed.
"Do I look like that crappy woman?" Keith scolded as he joined Brick's side. "Hey, squirt, come here!" Phoebe soon joined the group. "Hi," she nervously said.
"This is Phoebe," Brick introduced to Staci. "And the big guy is-"
"Coach! I got food for the party, too. See?" Phoebe held up a can. "Beans," she said.
"You had that packed away?" Keith questioned. "Don't you know about that blonde gas monster from Pahkitew?"
"I'm sure we can adjust to the extra people," Staci thought. "Come on in. We're still setting up, but make yourself cozy."
"Cool ocean decor," Brick breathed out as he, Phoebe and Keith walked into the house.
"Thanks," Anthony replied as he readied some bowls. "I'm a huge fan of the ocean...except for the sharks. Name's Anthony. We've got popcorn and some meats and cheeses and drinks at the ready. Oh, and another guest is freshening up in the latrine." There was another knock on the door. Staci opened it and saw Sam, though he now wore a shirt with the Pac-Man ghosts on it. "Hi, Staci," he began as he held up a bowl of ranch dip. "Uh, Dakota and I brought some chips and dip to snack on. Hope it helps."
"It does, actually," Staci replied. "Thanks. Where is Dakota?" Dakota strutted up, now wearing a light-blue dress that reached her knees. "Hey, guys," she greeted while carrying some bags. "Got the chips and cozy blankets for me and Sammy here."
"Someone call for me?" Samey asked as she finished drying her hair. "Oh, Dakota, right? Hello."
"I see you still retain some of the, um, mutation," Anthony noted as he looked at Dakota. "Hope I'm not being too rude."
"Well, I'm grateful for the partial success," Dakota acknowledged. "At least I'm not talking like a caveman. Or spooking people. You were quite calm."
"Meh, seen stranger stuff," Samey shrugged. "So, the Revenge cast...are they nice?"
"Most of them are," Sam informed her. "Really, the only bad seed to worry about would be Jo. Maybe Lightning if he decides to get competitive."
"Hey, don't forget Scott," Dakota reminded him. "He was the main reason most of us got eliminated early." The group heard a loud HONK! from outside. "Looks like we have more company," Anthony noted. "I'll get it." He opened the door and saw the next guest: Anne-Maria, with black shades, a satin-pink sleeveless top and a deep-purple skirt with wedges. "The most fashionable chick has arrived!" she announced as she strutted through the door. "That's right; it's me."
"You know this is more of a casual event, lass," Anthony informed her.
"This is casual. How did you expect me to dress, like a slob? Hey, Brick. Been a while."
"Hello," Brick greeted with a salute. "Yeah, it has, but I did keep those fashion tips in mind...like no orange camo. Oh, have you met my friends yet? There's...hey, where did she-?"
"I'll handle the squirt," Keith told him before walking off. "You go talk with them."
"Thanks."
"So who's that guy?" Anne-Maria teased with a flirtatious tone. "What's his name?"
"Taken," Brick sternly informed her. "Besides, I don't think he's your type."
"Aw..."
"Here's our next guest," Anthony announced. "Everyone, B." B waved to the group. "Still the strong and silent type, huh?" Anne-Maria guessed.
"So...how would he communicate with us?" Samey thought. B simply held up a notebook and pencil. "Through writing," Brick realized. "Clever idea, B."
"OPENUS SESEMAI!" Leonard shouted from outside.
"What is that?" Dakota wondered.
"I think it's Leonard," Sam thought. "You know, that wizard kid? Door's open, dude!" Leonard walked in with his cooler bag. "I present to thee some potions to aid in our quest," he declared. Most of the others had blank stares. "Translation, Sam?" Dakota whispered.
"It means he brought refreshments," Sam clarified. "Cool. What are they, dude?"
"I call them Monkey Milkshakes," Leonard replied. "It's just bananas and graham crackers blended with the ice cream. Go ahead and try one." Dakota and Samey each took a sip of the milkshakes. "That's pretty good," Dakota said.
"Yeah," Samey agreed. "Never would've thought you had skills in the kitchen, Leonard."
"Still talking with the weirdos as usual, Samey," Amy scoffed. Samey turned and scowled when she saw her twin sister and Topher standing nearby. "Don't you have better things to do than act like a bitch?" Samey grumbled.
"Says the lazy idiot who hasn't done anything with her life," Amy sneered. "Not surprising considering how useless you are."
"I am NOT useless, and the only idiots are the people who asked you to be a model! But then again, you probably need all that make-up to cover all that ugliness!"
"Ugly?! The men all flocked to me in high school and I still have that charm. You only attract the weirdos, if anybody." Amy let out a cry of shock as she was lifted into the air by Dakota's tail. "Does that make me a weirdo?" Dakota challenged. "Huh? Keep up the lip and you'll be leaving this reunion in an urn." She flung Amy back down. "You little-" Amy seethed.
"Maybe we should help ourselves to refreshments," Topher suggested as he led Amy away. "Bet that salami will be good. See you, Samey."
"Thank you for that, Dakota," Samey breathed out.
"Meh, I've seen a few of the Amy type mean girls on set," Dakota shrugged. "Just have to set them straight." She noticed a familiar duo approaching and shrank up a bit. "Oh," Zoey awkwardly greeted as she and Mike joined the group. "Hi, guys. Long time no see."
"Uh, should I...?" Samey asked as she saw the tense situation. The group heard a CRASH! from upstairs. "AHH!" Phoebe cried out as something pink covered her face. "I GOT A JELLYFISH ON MY HEAD!"
"Phoebe, calm down," Brick told her. "It's not a real jellyfish." Keith yanked the pink blob off of Phoebe's head. "Just a toy, squirt," he informed her. "A stuffed animal, like Pete is." The stuffed animal was snatched away by Anthony. "This came from the guest bedroom," he reasoned, "Which I am officially declaring off-limits! I'd better not catch you guys up there again."
"Don't lump me in this mess!" Keith protested. "I was trying to stop her! Phoebe, sometimes you can be a handful."
"But I'm bigger than a hand," Phoebe thought.
"Um, who are you again?" Zoey asked. "I don't recall seeing you in TD before."
"We're not," Keith shrugged. "The cadet invited us."
"You mean you begged to come," Brick corrected. "And you do know what you signed up for by coming, dude." He noticed Phoebe running after something. "Well, I know he did. Phoebe, what are you chasing?" Phoebe picked it up and showed it to Brick and the others. "MOUSE!" Zoey cried out as she clutched onto Mike.
"But it's just a mouse," Phoebe reasoned. She poked at its belly. "Aw, it isn't even real. Mice don't have wheels."
"Curses!" a voice protested. "My motorized minion has failed me!" The group saw Max storming over. "You there!" he demanded as he pointed to Phoebe. "Hand it over!" He was then picked up by Keith. "You better have a damn good reason why you're not in the ground right now," Keith warned.
"Coach, no," Phoebe warned as she held him back. "Language." Keith could only sigh in defeat before dropping Max. "Come on, squirt," he said as he picked Phoebe up. "Maybe some milk will calm us both down."
"Definitely an interesting duo, Brick," Mike noted. "Maybe they could've joined us on the show."
"Eh, I don't think they could take reality TV," Brick told him, "Even if they are my friends."
"Speaking of friends," Zoey informed them, "Cam's gonna be a bit late. He texted me saying the bus he took got a flat. Apparently, one of the Pahkitew people was on the bus, too."
"Hope they're okay," Mike thought. Just outside, Ella and Dave parked their bikes next to the house. "Well, we're here," Ella said. "How are you holding up so far, Dave?"
"I'm starting to get cold feet," Dave admitted with a shaky voice.
"Right when we just arrived?"
"It's too much, Ella. The single fact that I might run into people again is enough to unnerve me, but meeting with former TD contestants, on top of others such as Sky and Shawn again...I-I don't think I can do it." Ella looked at the germaphobe for a minute. "Okay," she sighed.
"Huh?" Dave thought, surprised at her words.
"If you're uncomfortable, I shouldn't force you to stay. But just answer me this: if you go back, you think that will help you sleep better? Would that make the bad memories and nightmares disappear?"
"How did you-?"
"Emily worries about her big brother a lot...and she's easily convinced with candy like those chocolate pudding Peeps."
"The sugar-rush gremlin."
"Well, what's the answer? Run and let the demons harass you for life, or face them with your brave soul?" Dave pondered on the choice for a moment. Ella did make a point. If he walked away, he'd be back at square one, but there was also no guarantee things would improve if he stayed. "I'll...I'll do it," he decided. "It's either this or a long and lonely bike trek back home. Guess walking into the fire pit is the lesser of the two evils."
"Thank you, David," Ella breathed out. "And I do hope you won't have to worry too much. It surely can't be that bad." The duo entered the house, where they saw most of the campers talking among themselves. "Oh, Mister Popularity himself," Topher teased as he noticed Dave by the doorway.
"More like the murderous freakazoid," Amy scoffed.
"What do you mean?" Anne-Maria questioned.
"Didn't you know? The guy freaked out and attempted to KILL the finalists just because he got rejected."
"Like you're one to talk!" Samey lashed back. "You tried to let me fall to my death on day one!"
"Quit whining about that. You had a parachute."
"I don't know," Dakota thought. "There's gotta be more than that."
"I've gotta agree with her," Brick added. "I've got info on the whole...dilemma and Dave shouldn't shoulder all the blame."
"Thanks?" Dave awkwardly replied. He noticed Phoebe walking over with a plate filled with glasses of milk. "Waiter Phoebe at your service," she giggled. "What's your specialty? House white, chocolate or strawberry?"
"Uh...who are you?" Dave asked. "Ella?"
"Some friend of Brick's, from what Staci just informed me," Ella noted. "Uh, strawberry milk, please."
"You do look and sound familiar," Phoebe thought after Ella and Dave got some glasses of milk. "Hmm...maybe Pete knows?" She pulled out a stuffed penguin. "What do you think, Pete?"
"She knows that's a stuffed animal, right?" Dave whispered to Ella.
"That's it!" Phoebe started running off. "Coach, Coach, Coach, Coach, Coach!" she exclaimed.
"Definitely has energy to her," Brick chuckled as he joined Dave and Ella's side.
"Not trying to sound critical," Dave spoke up, "But just who did you drag here?"
"The girl in the hero costume is Phoebe. She's a bit like Ella here, though with a tad more fight in her when she puts her mind to it. And the guy Phoebe's dragging... Oh, God, please tell me she's not-" Dave and Ella got a surprised look as Phoebe effortlessly dragged Keith over by his arm. "Well, this is...embarrassing," Keith grumbled.
"Phoebe, Zoey brought muffins to this gathering," Brick told her. "Why not see if anyone here wants one?"
"Waiter Phoebe is back in service," Phoebe replied as she released her grip on Keith. "Let's go help, Pete." She skipped off. "You've got to control that squirt's strength, cadet," Keith groaned as he stood up.
"I think there's a bigger elephant we should take care of before another guest arrives," Brick sternly suggested. "After all, you know damn well what you signed up for when you asked to come. Better not let Dave get caught off-guard."
"Off-guard about what?" Ella asked as she and Dave shared a baffled look.
"The same way I learned of your dilemma...from Sky's ex."
"You mean to tell me..." Dave gasped as his eyes widened in realization.
"Yeah, that's me," Keith scoffed as he stared the germaphobe down. "You got anything smart to say?"
"Uh, just that I'm not gonna pick a fight I can't win." Keith looked at Dave for a moment. "Well, you've proved you're not stupid," he thought as he stepped back. "Why you chose her of all people...or she chose better this time around..."
"I'm still confused about all of this," Ella admitted. "You know Sky how?"
"Maybe take small steps with this," Brick advised as he nudged Keith back. "Don't want to overwhelm you guys with info. Just know that he doesn't see you as the villain in this, Dave."
"The only overwhelming thing is that stench," Keith gagged. "You take your boots off, cadet?"
"No," Brick replied. "Ugh, but I think Scott arrived with food." Scott grinned as he stepped forward with a plate of some odd yellow slop. "Well, the old gang's back again," he snickered. "Up for some omelets? Made them myself."
"I thought you said you weren't bringing food," Zoey whispered to him.
"You said not to bring a pie and I didn't. I brought omelets."
"Been a good while since I had a good egg," Anthony thought as he picked up an egg. He ate a bite, but his face turned green. "To the nearest porthole!" he declared before running off. Scott and Zoey winced as they heard him puking outside. "Is my cooking really that bad?" Scott thought.
"I did say your cooking needed improvement many times," Zoey noted with a deadpan look. "I suggest tossing out the eggs before anyone else gets sick, okay? I provided some muffins while Sam got chips and dip." The duo heard a knock on the door. "I've got it!" Staci exclaimed. She opened the door and was stunned to see Rodney trying to squeeze inside. "Uh, a little help?" he groaned. He was knocked forward, nearly knocking Staci over. "Rodney provided some food," Helga announced as she ducked inside. "You okay?"
"Just a bit sore on the arms," Rodney told her after returning to his feet. "Got the food?"
"Sauce and bread. Now, let's meet these people." The duo walked over to the group. "Whoa," Dakota breathed out. "And I thought my height was tall."
"Ugh, the ugly idiot is back again," Amy groaned.
"Helga suggest you watch your tongue before it becomes your noose," Helga threatened.
"Easy, easy," Rodney advised. "We don't wanna break anything and have to pay for it, right?"
"And she does look like she can break anything she wants," Topher gulped.
"Who's left on the invite?" Anthony asked Staci.
"Uh, four from Revenge and six from Pahkitew," Staci informed him. The group winced as they heard a CRASH! "Wh-wh-what was that?!" Phoebe cried out as she ducked underneath a blanket. Staci and Anthony looked outside and saw Shawn's jeep crashed into a red convertible. "Told you the brakes needed a tune-up," Jasmine groaned.
"My car!" Anne-Maria shrieked. "You idiots RUINED MY CAR!"
"I-I-I wasn't trying to!" Shawn nervously defended. B tapped Anne-Maria on the shoulder while he held up a toolbox. "You better hope B can fix the damage or you're in for a serious ass-whooping!" she threatened.
"Try it and it'll be you in the grave!" Jasmine warned.
"Yikes," Staci gulped. "This is more intense than my great-great-great-grand-uncle Cletus's showdown with Jesse James...where he lost."
"Let's just calm these rough waters for now," Anthony advised Anne-Maria and Jasmine. "The premiere isn't too far off and we have snacks inside."
"Great," Shawn replied as he dashed inside. He then noticed Samey finishing her milkshake and Dave picking up a muffin. "Oh, it's been too long," he breathed out as he approached them.
"Oh," Samey coldly answered as she walked away. "Shawn." Shawn could only wince in response. "I guess she's sore that we never visited," he sighed to Dave. "Are, uh, Dave, I..." Dave was about to say something when Shawn was yanked away. "Come on," Jasmine told him. "Don't want you around that awful influence."
"You're not a bad influence," Ella assured the depressed Dave.
"Well, I can see why Shawn never even called," Dave grumbled. B was still working on the cars when he saw Jo and Lightning running up to the house. "Victory to the Lightning!" Lightning cheered. "Sha-bam!"
"You're sha-blind since I won!" Jo argued.
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"Will you two sha-shut it and just get inside?" Anthony instructed. "The others will be here soon." Jo and Lightning quickly raced inside and stumbled into a dog pile. "Oh, great," Dave groaned. "If it isn't every negative stereotype of the athlete themselves."
"Dave!" Staci gasped in shock.
"It's not like he's exactly...wrong," Zoey nervously put in. "I can't recall a good memory of either of them."
"Like Miss Naive is one to judge," Jo scoffed after jumping back to her feet. "And another guy that fits the 'need to be dominated' kink that Pants-Wetter fills."
"Hey!" Brick protested as his face heated up from embarrassment. "I don't need to be dominated!"
"Gray Woman sounds like more talk than walk," Helga commented. "That is how saying goes, right?"
"Eh, just about," Rodney shrugged.
"Like you're one to talk," Jo scoffed. "All this idiot does is jumble his words around any girl. No wonder everyone was driven away by him." Rodney could only stifle a groan as he glared at Jo. "Uh-uh," Helga told him as she held him back. "I will do it."
"Since you insist," Rodney replied. Helga stormed over to Jo, grabbed her arm and quickly flipped the jockette over, making her crash onto the floor. "Whoa," Scott breathed out as most of the others could only stare in disbelief.
"Unlike you, I can back up what I say," Helga warned Jo. "Do us all a favor and keep that fat mouth SHUT."
"Remind me how you know her again," Dakota asked Rodney. "Hey, Rodney!"
"Isn't she just amazing?" Rodney gushed as he got a lovestruck look.
"I do see why you were drawn to her," someone noted. Rodney turned and yelped with fear as Dawn suddenly appeared behind him. "Where did you come from?" he nervously asked.
"Oh, Dawn has that habit of appearing and vanishing just like that," Sam noted. "How she does it, I have no idea."
"Perhaps thou has descendants from the line of faerie," Leonard reasoned. "Many kinds are connected with nature, after all." He noticed his cell phone ringing. "Oh, sorry." He picked it up. "Hey, Tammy. Yeah, I'm here. Milkshakes were a big hit. No, it hasn't started yet. Still a few left to..." He noticed a familiar figure strutting over. "Oh, gotta go. She's arrived. Check back in a bit." He hung his phone up. "Why do you look so nervous?" Sam asked.
"The same reason why Tammy refused to join," Leonard informed him. "Sugar."
"Here I am!" Sugar declared. "The stylish queen herself!" She gasped as she saw the food. "FOOD!" She started scarfing down the meats and cheeses. "She's eating everything!" Staci cried out.
"Which is why I made sure not to put out all of it at once," Anthony told her. "But we better put some restraint on her."
"I'll do it," Leonard sighed. "Sugar! It is I, your beloved wizard." Sugar stopped her eating and squealed in delight. "Wizard!" she exclaimed as she gave him a bone-crunching hug. "Oh, it's been so long! You still doing them fancy spells?"
"Indeed," Leonard choked out with a forced smile.
"He's still believing that?" Dave asked Ella.
"It's all in light fun, David," Ella assured him.
"He's also taking a bullet regarding Sugar," Sam pointed out. "That hug doesn't look too comfortable." Outside, Sky and Beardo had arrived at the steps. "I got the drinks," Beardo told her. "Sorry they didn't have trail mix at the store. Are...are you okay?"
"Just a bit nervous," Sky admitted. "But no point delaying this. Just gotta get it over with." She let out a breath as she opened the door. "Hey, guys," Anthony greeted as he saw the duo. "Welcome."
"Thanks," Beardo nervously replied. "It's, uh, it's a lot of people, huh?"
"It's alright," Dawn assured him. "Most of the people here are pretty kind. And Sky, I think this will be the perfect chance to mend old wounds."
"I guess..." Sky awkwardly said. "Maybe it won't be-" Her gaze went towards a certain person in the room. "Uh-oh," Brick realized before turning to Keith. "Dude, you'd better-"
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Sky demanded as she stormed over to Keith.
"Oh, great," Keith blandly put in. "Hello, Sky."
"Uh, can we get a little context here?" Mike asked. "Why the harsh tone here?"
"I think I get it," Topher realized. "Remember Sky's infamous audition tape aired in the finale?"
"You mean this is the Keith she referred to?" Shawn gasped. A dramatic beat was heard, with Shawn immediately turning towards Beardo, who simply got a bashful shrug. "Unfortunately," Sky scoffed. "Still doesn't explain why he bothered to show his face."
"I got invited by a friend," Keith informed her.
"You mean you and Phoebe both begged to come," Brick corrected.
"Will you stay out of this, cadet?!"
"Looks like you haven't changed one bit," Sky huffed.
"Oh, and here you're acting like your shit doesn't stink."
"That's not what I-" Sky got a startled look as she was suddenly staring at Phoebe. Phoebe then picked Sky up and looked at her some more with curiosity. "Phoebe, put her down," Brick instructed. Phoebe dropped Sky with a THUD! "I meant gently!" Brick sternly told her.
"Sorry," Phoebe mumbled. She then picked Sky up and shook her hand vigorously. "So you're Miss Sky that Coach was talking about," Phoebe said. "My name is Phoebe. Nice to meet you. Oh, and Pete says hi, too."
"I feel dizzy," Sky moaned.
"Maybe we should start getting our seats now," Brick thought as he stepped between the two girls. "The premiere should be coming on soon, right?"
"In exactly fifteen minutes," Anthony noted. "Enough time for a bathroom break for the lads and lasses."
"But we can't start yet," Zoey protested. "Cam isn't here."
"I'm sure he'll be here soon," Ella assured her. She noticed B walking back inside. "Oh, you fixed Anne-Maria's car?" B nodded yes, then wrote on his notepad. "B says that he saw Cameron and a lady walking over here," Ella relayed. "They'll arrive any minute."
"A sha-lady?" Lightning thought. "No way! Lightning's more of a ladies' man than that twig." The group heard a knock on the door. "Come in, Cameron," Staci called out. "Door's unlocked." Cameron and the girl from the bus joined the group. "Cameron, you lucky devil," Mike teased. "Who's your friend there?"
"Honestly, don't really know," Cameron admitted. "We met on the bus and learned she got an invite. Said she'd introduce herself once everyone was here."
"But she couldn't have gotten an invite," Shawn thought. "Everyone is already here. Well, except for-" He froze up in realization. "Ella, you didn't-" The girl tugged at her hair, revealing it was nothing more than a blonde wig to hide her fiery red hair. "SCARLETT?!" most of the Pahkitew cast gasped.
"Greetings," Scarlett stated.
"What is she doing here?!" Jasmine demanded.
"I demand an explanation, as well," Max declared, though with a hint of fear.
"Well...it is a reunion with everyone," Ella sheepishly defended.
"And didn't you think inviting the girl that tried to kill five of us was a bit over that?" Shawn argued.
"The idiot's buddy-buddy with Dave, so of course not," Sugar scoffed.
"Don't you dare start," Dave angrily scolded. "Besides, what about you? You shoved Sky off a cliff! And what about that 'I wasn't gonna hit her on camera' stunt?!"
"But Scarlett's clearly the bigger problem," Scott countered. "I mean, I know I pulled off some shitty stunts in my seasons, but what she did was way too far."
"Guy makes a point," Mike agreed. "She reminds me too much of someone I'd rather forget."
"Oh, yeah," Amy sneered, "That little-" She was cut off as she was blasted with some hairspray. "Don't you dare finish that!" Anne-Maria threatened.
"I'm shocked she's still walking around," Zoey thought as she consoled Mike. "I mean, Duncan just got released from prison for blowing up Chris's home. How come she's not in jail when she did the worse deed?"
"The same reason why there was a long pause between the Total Drama seasons," Scarlett clarified. "I gave testimony to the DA that sent McLean to the slammer for a short period. In exchange, the prosecutor reduced the sentence to community service. Still, I had to assume a disguise to avoid the public ire."
"Yeah, who wouldn't still be pissed at a girl who tried to kill her fellow campers?" Dakota noted.
"Guys, please calm down," Ella spoke up. "I know there's...well, what's already been spoken of."
"That's reducing it a lot," Sky scoffed.
"But...wouldn't this be a good chance to clear the air?"
"Yeah...that ain't gonna work," Anthony said with skepticism.
"Why not simply not interact with her?" Cameron suggested. "No one's saying it's an obligation."
"But she'll get all lonely by herself," Phoebe whimpered.
"Well, no one's sitting next to the psycho," Jo argued. "I wouldn't even send Sir Drippy over there."
"Perhaps Cameron and I can keep a watchful eye on Scarlett," Dawn recommended. "She did at least show tolerance towards Cameron on the bus."
"And I suppose aura-reader Dawn can warn us of any trouble," Samey thought.
"Sounds like a plan," Cameron agreed.
"I guess..." Mike awkwardly said.
"Okay," Zoey reluctantly sighed, "But only because Cam and Dawn agreed to it." Most of the cast members got seated. Some such as Helga and Rodney had to sit in the back while others such as Ella and Dave were laying down in the front. Shawn attempted to join Samey's side but the good twin silently walked away from him. "Crud," he muttered. He then noticed Dave and the guys' eyes locked on... "This way," Jasmine ordered as she yanked Shawn back. Dave could only express a dejected look. "Were you hoping for him to join?" Ella asked him.
"A bit," Dave admitted. "Figured it might be one thing I did right regarding the guys here."
"Taking baby steps with this is a good thing. Hmm, I have an idea on where to start. Beardo! Can you please join us?" Beardo nodded before joining the duo, and he passed them bottles of Dr. Cherry and some cheese. "No, thanks," Ella politely declined. "I already got some milk. David, what about you?"
"Probably will stick with some water," Dave decided, "But the cheese does look yummy. Thanks." There was a moment of silence between the three of them. "Hey, um, are there any, like, harshness with-?" Dave began to ask.
"Nah," Beardo shrugged. "If it's about you voting me, then I don't hold a grudge. I mean, I get why you picked Leonard to keep over me. He contributed more. But the other stuff...I mean, I can get why the others feel so strongly against you. Last time I saw you, you were laughing when Shawn and Sky got buried in that avalanche."
"I can't really dispute that."
"It's not Scarlett levels, but what you did was messed up...even if it was clear the host was twisting the knife."
"I know. I'm not denying that. I know what I did was terrible and wrong."
"Good on you to recognize it, but words alone won't get you out of this."
"I'm just...trying to show I'm better," Dave breathed out as he looked down. "If I could go back in time and change everything, I would. How I treated Sky, how I acted to Shawn, how I broke Ella's heart without knowing...even how I treated you."
"Me?" Beardo asked as he blinked in surprise. "Really?"
"I completely shunned you. Sure, your sound effects were a bit...constant...but I never gave you a fair chance before the ceremony."
"It's not just on you," Ella assured Dave. "None of us really got to know Beardo before the elimination. But we've got the chance to know him now."
"You're a real sweetheart, huh?" Beardo chuckled. "Just knows how to bring out the best in people."
"I know," Dave sighed with a small smile.
"Looks like things are as calm as a sea cucumber now," Anthony told Staci as everyone was seated so they could see the TV. "This might work out better than we thought."
"Well, let's start it up," Staci replied as the TV was switched on. Everyone watched as the logo of TD appeared on the screen.
So, here it is. My own reaction fic. This time, I invited all the Revenge and Pahkitew cast, with a few additional guests that the hosts weren't planning. Anthony and Keith are OCs created by my friend LaCuevademisgustos while Phoebe and Helga are OCs created by me.
So, next episode will be the cast watching the first episode of the reboot. And, um, not much more to say here. Until next time, this is Dunsparce519 saying enjoy and have a good day.
