Episode 74 A Double Dilemma
Today, Mew and her friends arrive in the city, known as North Petalburg City, not far from Petalburg City. They decide to take a rest before heading there.
"So this is North Petalburg, huh?" Mew replies.
"Pika, Pika!" (I just can't wait!) Pikachu says.
"Eevee!" (Me too!) Eevee says.
Then Brock asks, "What say we look around for the Pokémon Center?"
May and the others agree, "Okay!"
At the Pokémon Center…
A woman walks in with a box of vegetables and calls out, "Vegetable delivery! Nurse Joy, I've got everything you ordered right here."
"Thanks, Rose," Nurse Joy says.
As Rose hands the vegetables to Chansey, Mew and her friends walk into the Pokemon Center.
"There you go," Rose says.
Mew and her friends call out, "Hi, Nurse Joy."
"Hi," Nurse Joy says.
But suddenly, she looks shocked, "Hey, I know you two! You're May and Max!"
Rose looks over to see them.
"And Norman, the Petalburg gym leader, is your dad, right?" Nurse Joy replies, sounding excited.
"Yeah, that's right," May says.
Then Brock comes over, "And I'm Brock. You could say I'm like a big brother to them."
Max then grabs him by the ear, "Oh, brother is more like it!" And yanks him away.
"Sorry about that," Mew says.
Zinnia rolls her eyes, "Why does he always do that?"
"No idea," Tomo, Jen, and Molly reply, shaking their heads.
Then Nurse Joy says to May, "I hear that you and Max have been on the road for about three months."
"Yeah, but it sure feels good to be back home," May says.
"When this town finds out that Norman's children are back, they're going to go berserk!" Rose says, excited.
So she runs out and down the streets as she calls out, "Hey, folks, wait'll you hear the news! You won't believe it in a million years!"
Not long, Mew and her friends head out.
Jen turns to May and Max, "That's pretty cool. We're not even in your hometown yet, and Nurse Joy knows all about you."
"Yeah, but that's only because our dad is famous. Not us," Max says.
"That's true," May says.
"It's still pretty cool, though," Molly says.
Suddenly, a cloud of dust rapidly approaches them.
"What's that?" Mew wonders.
"A giant crowd of people," Brock says.
"And they're coming right at us!" Zinnia panics.
Before the group can process, the crowd surrounds the rest of them.
A News reporter then says, "I'm here live with Norman's two children, May and Max. You are May and Max, right?"
"Um...yes," May and Max say nervously.
The News reporter then says, "Dee Dunstan from North Petalburg News. And from what we've been hearing, you're on your way to becoming a top coordinator, May.
"Please, tell us every little detail and don't leave out a thing," Rose says.
"Okay. Um...I'm not very good," May says, nervously.
Then Max suggests, "I know. Show em what you've won so far."
"Oh, yeah. Okay," May says, and shows her ribbons, "I guess I did kind of win these two ribbons.
Everyone was surprised and baffled.
"I know, but, two is better than none," May says, worried.
But then Dee says, "I'm sure your father will be very proud."
Rose nods, "And to think you've been doing this for such a short time, it's amazing."
The crowd agrees.
"Kind of weird. Two ribbons and they all go nuts?" Max replies, confused
"I guess so," May says, just as baffled.
"This is getting a bit confusing," Mew says.
"I have to agree," Brock says.
"Uh huh," Tomo, Jen, and Molly say.
"I didn't even know Norman even had a big fan club," Mew says.
Soon enough, Mew and the rest of the group find themselves out of the crowd of people. They're able to get out and soon turn to see May and Max are still in the crowd.
"Talk about a crazy crowd," Tomo says.
"It's the Norman, May, and Max fanclub," Brock says.
"A very devoted fanclub," Zinnia says.
"I have to agree on that," Mew says.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket was walking through town on an empty stomach.
"All dat walking really woiks up an appetite," Meowth says.
"But we have nary a cent to buy a snack," James says.
"If I had any cents, I wouldn't be with you two," Jessie says.
James looks up to his right to notice something, "Looky there."
Jessie looks up in James direction, "So what?"
Meowth does the same, "Someting about dat guy and gal strike me as familiar."
What they see is a poster of Norman and his wife, Carol.
Jessie gasps in shock, "That guy's the Petalburg gym leader!"
They soon have a flashback to the day they met him.
"If memory serves me correctly, his name is Norman and that's his wife, Caroline," James says.
"He's supposed to be da most powerful Normal-type Pokémon trainer around, and has that powerful Vigoroth too!" Meowth says.
Flashback ends and they look behind them, and everyone appears to be a Norman fan.
"This whole town has come down with a bad case of Normanitis," Jessie says.
"They've stooped to selling Norman trinkets?" James says.
And Meowth says, "We're in da valley of da Norman!"
Then Jessie has an idea, "I just had the most delicious idea!"
"Okay?" James and Meowth reply, confused.
"Well, as an old saying of mine goes; if you can't beat 'em, be 'em," Jessie says.
Sometime later, at the fountain in the center of town…
Soon, Jessie comes in, disguised as Caroline, "It's perfect! I'm a dead ringer!"
And James comes out, disguised as Norman, "It's good to be a Norman."
Then Meowth comes out, disguised as May, "Hi, my name is May. Where's my little bruder Max? Come on down!"
Then Wobbuffet comes out, disguised as Max, "Wobbuffet! Wobbu! Wobbu!" (Hello there! My name is Max!)
Then a civilian notices them, "Hey, you guys, look! It's Norman! Check it out!"
Another one gets excited, "Norman's got his wife with him, too! And look, there's his kids!"
The rest of the crowd around the fountain clamor, but one of them causes the quartet to seat drop in worry.
But then the civilian asks, "Wait a minute, are you sure those are really Norman's children?"
"Suddenly, I'm not feeling quite as perky," Jessie says, worried.
James also becomes worried, "Everything was going as planned and then your 'kids' had to mess it all up.
"What do you mean? I didn't mess nuttin' up," Meowth says. Then turns to Wobbuffet, "It's your fault for being all big and blue."
"Wobbu Wobbuffet." (Just zip it, shorty.) Wobbuffet says.
Then someone says, "Well, I've lived next door to Norman's family for the rest of my adult life," and comes to Meowth and Wobbuffet, "Come closer so I can get a good look at you two," And leans in, "There's nothing to be afraid of."
Meowth and Wobbuffet worry.
"This would be a good time to run," Jessie says.
"Norman does not run in fear," James says.
But then the old man says, "Looks like May and Max to me!"
Then grabs their shoulders, "Long time no see, you two! My, how you both have changed since I've seen you last! And just look at how much you've grown, young man! But you look a little blue around the edges. Are you cold or something?"
"I'm afraid he's caught a little chill," Jessie says.
"It gets awfully cold on the road," James says.
"Wobbuffet." (Really chilly.) Wobbuffet says.
"Yes, that's what I've heard," The man says. Then turns to Meowth, "But, young lady, I don't believe you've grown an inch since we first met."
"When most people work hard an' travel lots, dey lose weight, but I tend ta shrink!" Meowth says.
"Oh, yes, well, that's understandable," The man says. Then turns to the crowd, "Listen up, folks, these two kids here are Norman's children, without a doubt!"
The crowd gasps and begins chanting Norman's name.
Meanwhile, back to May and Max, they are busy being hassled by the fans.
"Sorry, but we really do need to be getting on our way as soon as we possibly can," May says.
But Dee says, "But you can't go yet!"
Then Rose says, "You know what I would love? If you'd show us one of your coordinator moves!"
"Oh, yes! We'd all love to see that!" Dee says.
Then the crowd happily says, "Show us! Come on, show us!"
Max whispers, "Come on, show them something. They won't let us leave."
"Yeah, but what," May replies.
But then sheepishly smiles, "Okay, then, just one."
Rose cheers, "Hooray! May's gonna perform one of her ribbon-winning techniques!"
The crowd cheers
Mew then calls out, "Now, Beautifly, go!
Beautifly then comes out.
May then calls out, "Show em one of your Contest-winning moves! Silver Wind!"
Beautifly performs the move while spinning around, creating a Silver Whirlwind with a sparkly touch."
Rose is amazed, "Beautiful. I've never seen such a beautiful Silver Wind in my whole life."
"Amazing! Looks to me like I have my scoop for tomorrow's edition of North Petalburg News!" Dee says.
The crowd cheers
May smiles, "Well, I'm on a roll."
Then turns to Max, "I'm on quite a roll. I'm thinking encore, right?"
"Don't push it. I think you should still quit while the quitting is good," Max says.
Outside of the crowd, Mew and the others watch the event.
"Wow. The crowd is really going crazy over them," Zinnia says.
"Yeah. They really like May and Max," Molly says.
"And they really like Norman too," Jen says.
"Well Norman is a really cool guy," Mew says.
"And he's really nice too," Molly says.
Soon, two teenage boys approach.
One of the boys asks, "So, you guys are traveling around with May and Max?"
"Yes, we are," Mew says.
"Yeah? Well, what'd you come here for?" The boy asks.
"Well, my friends and I have been traveling together for sometime. As of now, I'm planning on challenging the petalburg gym, so I'll be battling against Norman," Mew answers.
"As for the rest of us, we're mainly traveling and gaining experience," Tomo says.
"And I have my own agenda, but I love tagging along with Ashley and the others," Zinnia says.
"But still, we're on our way to the Petalburg Gym for our battle," Mew says.
But the boys say, "Not!"
"Huh?" The group replies, confused.
"Uh, why not?" Mew asks, confused.
One of the trainers says, "You can't just waltz in here off the street and challenge Norman's gym."
Another trainer says, "Only specially chosen trainers can challenge him."
Mew and the others are baffled.
"Really?" Zinnia responds, confused.
Then Brock says, "But the rules clearly state that any trainer can challenge any gym in any town he or she wants."
Then the first trainer says, "Too bad, not in this town."
Then the second trainer says, "Look, there are plenty of other gyms. Go find 'em. And the sooner you get out of this town, the better I'm going to like it!"
Then the first trainer says, "Pal, you couldn't challenge Norman if you kept trying for a hundred years, and even then, you'd have to beat me first, and we know that's never going to happen!"
"Sounds like these two are challenging you to a battle," Zinnia says.
"Sounds good to me," Mew says, "I say it will be a great way to warm up for my gym battle."
They all soon arrive at a grassy field.
"So you think you can just go and challenge Norman, do you? Then I guess I need to show you a thing or two," The first trainer says.
"Fine with me, let's see what you've got," Mew says.
The first trainer calls out, "Golduck, I chose you!"
And his Golduck comes out.
Mew then calls out, "Grovyle, let's go!"
Grovyle then comes out and puts a long twig in its mouth.
"Grass against a water Pokémon," Brock says.
Then the trainer calls out, "Golduck, Focus Punch!"
Golduck throws the attack, but Grovyle evades by leaping over Golduck while the Focus Punch strikes the ground.
Mew then calls out, "Bullet Seed, now!"
Grovyle fires the attack and hits hard, causing Golduck to slide back despite covering up the best it can.
The trainer calls out, "Hang on, Golduck! Hydro Pump!"
Golduck fires the attack and hits with almost as much force as Grovyle's Bullet Seed, but more than enough to knock Grovyle on its back.
"Grovyle!" Mew calls out.
The trainer then calls out, "Golduck, close in and use Scratch!"
Golduck closes in for the attack.
Mew then calls out, "Grovyle, use Quick Attack!"
Grovyle gets up and darts forward, nailing Golduck right in the chest with its head and knocking it on its back.
Mew then calls out, "Quick, use Leaf Blade!"
As Grovyle throws the attack.
Elsewhere, Team Rocket was continuing their impersonation scheme.
Meowth waves around some paper, "Yoo-hoo! Whoever want's my daddy's autograph, get em while dey're hot!"
"Woooobbuffet." (Pay first, though.) Wobbuffet says.
The man says, "An original autograph from Norman himself? Definitely a way to start my vacation here in North Petalburg, it'll be a lifelong treasure."
The crowd gathers around them and clamors
"I've died and gone to retail heaven!" Meowth says.
James signs several autographs, "There you go, and thank you. And here's one, for you."
Jessie sells some buttons, "Your vacation won't be complete without a souvenir button to remember North Petalburg by!"
"Wow. I only came here for a couple days, but I might consider staying for a week!" The man says.
The crowd soon gathers around the stand and starts buying up buttons.
Meanwhile, at the battle, Golduck was exhausted. So exhausted to the point that it collapsed in defeat.
"Golduck!" The trainer calls out.
"Good job, Grovyle," Mew says.
"Grovyle." (Thank you.) Grovule says.
Then the second trainer walks into the battle, "I'm up next."
Soon, a third trainer comes up, "No, I want to knock this girl down a peg or two."
And then another trainer comes out, "I want a shot at her, too!"
"Huh?" Mew questions.
"Well, Ashley, looks to me like you're starting to get your own fan club," Brock says.
"I'm getting a bad feeling about this," Zinnia says.
"I know, but I can't back down now," Mew says.
"That's true," Tomo says.
They soon see the line had extended.
"I guess the only thing I can do is give them what they want," Mew says.
She then calls out, "Corphish, let's go!"
Corphish then comes out.
Meanwhile, with May and Max, Skitty was juggling for the crowd.
"As you can see, Skitty's quite a juggler," May says.
"Absolutely amazing," Dee says.
"Isn't she great?" Rose says.
Max whispers, "I'm telling you, don't get carried away."
Meanwhile, Mew and her Pokemon are starting to get very tired.
"This could go on forever," Brock says.
"No kidding," Jen says.
"What can we do?" Molly asks, worried.
Mew soon sees the crowd of battle-hungry boys.
"These guys are nuts. I don't get why they're making a big deal about me battling Norman," Mew says.
The trainer then asks, "Giving up? Or too tired?"
"Why not just rest on your laurels and forget about challenging Norman?" The second trainer says.
"Forget about challenging Norman?! You guys are gonna make me and my Pokemon too exhausted to do that!" Mew says.
"Then why not take on al of us at once?!" The second trainer says.
Soon, everyone calls out all their Pokemon.
"Uh oh!" Mew says, worried.
Just then, many of Mew's Pokemon have come out: Ho-Oh, Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Lugia, Latias, Latios, Manaphy. And all of them are ready to attack.
All of them perform their attacks and shout in their language, "LEAVE OUR MOMMY ALONE!"
And with that, all of them fire their attack and knock down all of the boys and their Pokemon. Soon enough, every last one of them is knocked out.
"Woah! Talk about an all Legendary Pokemon knock out!" Zinnia says, surprised.
"And they're very mad at those kids for bullying their mommy," Tomo says, baffled.
"They really let them have it," Molly asks.
"No kidding. It's what you get for trying to hurt their mama," Brock says.
"Um, wow. You little ones sure know how to pack a punch," Mew says.
Soon, all the young Legendary Pokemon gather and hug their mom, by her legs.
Mew is surprised, but gives them a kind smile, "Aww. Oh well. I know you guys were trying to help me, but you didn't have to knock the trainers down as well."
Soon, all the boy trainers regain themselves and flinch to see the little Legendary Pokemon as they turn and glare at them vicariously. All the boys end up running away screaming.
"Well, I guess they have enough," Mew says.
"Yeah. That's what happens when you mess with babies of a loving mother," Brock says.
All the baby Pokemon blow raspberries at the running boys.
Meanwhile, Skitty and May were both exhausted
"I wouldn't want to bore you with any more," May says.
"We're not bored. When it comes to great techniques, we can't get enough," Dee says.
The crowd soon starts shouting for more.
May is in tears, "No more!"
Suddenly, they hear screaming and turn to see two of the boys showing up in a panic.
"What got into them?" Max asks.
The first trainer cries out, "You got to come and see this!"
"What is it, kids? What seems to be the problem?" Rose asks.
The trainer cries out, "That way! Some girl agreed to a challenge against me and my friends for the right to let her fight Norman. Thing is, she's really good."
"She's been beating the pants out of us and our Pokemon. Then a bunch of baby legendary Pokemon came out of their Pokeballs on their own and blasted us! And she is still planning to challenge Norman!" The second trainer panics.
"Why that's terrible," Rose says.
"Now that's quite a story, boys," Dee says.
They soon realize who the boys are referring to.
"I wonder if they're talking about Mew," May whispers to Max.
"Most likely, who else has baby legendary Pokemon," Max replies.
Then Rose has an idea, "Say, what if we have May go out there and teach that trainer a lesson or two by showing her what it's like to get beat and beat good."
"Brilliant! We can see your batting skills too!" Dee says.
Max and May are shocked to hear it.
"What?" May and Max exclaims.
"Me, battle?" May adds.
As the crowd cheered in agreement.
At the field, Mew is trying to get her little ones to let go of her legs, or at least not surround her like a barrier.
"Come on, little guys, no need to get all protective of me," Mew says.
All of the baby Legendary Pokemon refuse and continue to stand guard.
They soon see a crowd carrying May and Max on a pedestal chanting 'Do it, May!'
"What's going on, May?" Mew calls out.
"Well, I was asked to come over here and battle someone who thinks they can beat my dad. And the one with baby legendary Pokemon," May says.
"I think they mean me," Mew calls out.
"We can see that," May calls out.
"And see your babies are being bodyguards," Max says.
"This is getting ridiculous," Zinnia says, annoyed.
"What's ridiculous to think if this girl can beat our Noman," Dee says.
"They sure aren't shy here in the north side of town, are they?" Brock says.
"No kidding," Tomo says.
Rose turns to May, "What do you say, May? Show this girlie what Norman's daughter is made of."
Max turns to May, "So what are you gonna do now?"
"They sure have a lot of faith in me," May says.
Mew sighs, "This is getting insane. I think I'm at my limit."
She then turns to May, "Hey May, are you okay with this?"
"I guess so," May says.
Then Dee says, excited, "Alright! I can just see the headline now! May mowing the park lawn with a girl being guarded by a group of baby legendary Pokemon!"
"I'll be more than happy to be the judge!" Rose says.
"Well, guess I'll have to win one for my dad," May says, looking sheepish.
"I'm not comfortable with this," Max says.
At the fountain, the crowd was in a buzz as they realized something was off.
The man from before asks, "Hey, where'd Norman go off to?"
And they see James, disguised as Norman, is gone.
Then notices that Jessie and the others are gone as well.
Another civilian says, "His wife and kids have disappeared, too."
Meanwhile, Team Rocket was running down the street with all their ill-gotten money.
"Did we have to go? I was really enjoying myself," James asks.
"If that made you happy, this money will make you hysterical!" Jessie says.
"Woooobbuffet! (Joyous!) Wobbuffet says.
"Dat's right! Pretty soon, we'll be laughing all da way to da bank!" Meowth says.
But they soon see the man spot them right down the street, and he calls out, "There's Norman and his family!"
James grows worried, "We've been spotted!"
"Hard left, and step on it!" Jessie says, worried.
Team Rocket rushes down an alleyway while the fans pursue.
Meanwhile, at the field, the battle was about to begin.
"This will be a single one-on-one battle! Trainers, ready?!" Rose calls out.
"I sure hope she is, despite the fact that many of Ashley's Pokémon looked exhausted by the time we got here. Guess we'll see," Max says.
"Beautifly and Skitty are too tired for this, so, Torchic, I choose you!" May says and calls out her Pokemon.
And Torchic comes out.
"She picked Torchic?" Mew says.
"Which Pokemon should I use," Mew says.
Then looks to see her baby bodyguards, "And one that won't get too steamed."
Then Mew has an idea, "I know." She brings out her Pokeball and calls out, "Go Fennekin!"
And Fennekin comes out.
"Fire Type Vs Fire Type, huh. I like that," May says.
"Then let's go," Mew calls out, "Use Scratch!"
Fennekin performs Scratch and it's a direct hit.
"Torchic!" May calls out.
The crowd turns on Mew in anger, mainly because she's already starting to beat May.
Mew sighs, "But to ignore them. She then calls out, "Now Fennekin, use Psybeam!"
Fennekin performs Psybeam and is able to hit Torchic again.
The crowd starts to jeer again.
Suddenly May shouts, "Hey! Can you stop booing at my friend!"
That catches everyone by surprise.
"Your friend?" Rose questions.
"Yeah. Ashley and the others are my friends!" Max says.
"We're all traveling together so we know she's going to battle my dad," May says.
"That's right. We're also good rivals too," May says.
"Rivals?" Dee questions.
Mew sheepishly says, "Yes. I'm also training to be a coordinator as well. And like May, I've also got a couple of ribbons."
"Hmm, A trainer trying to earn badges and ribbons? That's unusual," Rose questions.
"Yep," Max says, "Ashely is one tough trainer. The day we first met, she and my dad had an unofficial match."
"Really? She battled Norman before?" One of the trainers asks, surprised.
"Yeah. Even though their battle got interrupted, my dad said she can come back after traveling to have an official match," May says.
"Norman said that himself?" Rose asks, surprised.
May and Max nod.
"Well, I'm actually impressed," Rose says. Then turns to Mew, "You must be a very impressive trainer to impress Norman."
"Um, thank you. Though I think he almost beat me during that unofficial match. Until it got rudely interrupted," Mew says.
"How did that happen?" A trainer asks.
"It's a long story," Max says.
"Either way, Ashley is a tough trainer and my dad does want to battle him. And I like to continue with my battle against her," May says.
"Sounds good to me," Mew says.
"Well then, let the battle continue," Rose announces.
May calls out, "Torchic, use Peck attack!"
Torchic charges and performs Peck Attack.
"Use Ember!" Mew calls out.
Fenniken then strikes at Torchic with the Ember.
"Quick Attack, Trochic!" May calls out.
Torchic then speeds around Fennekin.
"Now Ember!" May calls out.
Torchic fires Ember.
"Dodge, and use Psybeam!" Mew calls out.
Fenniken dodges and uses Psybeam and strikes at Torchic.
"Torchic!" May cries out.
Torchic lands on the ground, but is able to regain itself.
"Your Torchic is doing great out there," Mew says.
"Same with your Fenniken. But let's see which Fire Attack can bring up the heat!" May says.
"Have to admit, that girl is good," The trainer says.
"Yeah, but May is doing well herself," Another trainer says.
Suddenly, someone calls out to May and Max, "Hey! How'd you two get here?"
Everyone stopped to look at him.
They see a young man rushing over. Mew and the others soon rush to where May and Maz are to see what's going on.
The young man explains, "Strange. I'm sure I just saw May and Max a few minutes ago at the fountain and they were selling buttons and autographs."
The crowd gasps at the news.
"Really?" Molly asks.
"Are you sure?" May asks.
"I'm very certain," The man says.
Then Rose says, "Sounds to me like we have some imposters."
"Sounds about right," Zinnia says.
"Who would do something like that?" Max asks.
"Anyway, I think we should find out," Mew says.
"Right. I guess our battle will have to be put on hold," May says.
"Well I say you two should go teach them a lesson and run them out of town," Rose says to May and Max
"Not sure about that part," May says, sheepishly.
"Either way, someone is pretending to be you two," Molly says.
"And we can't let them get away with that," Mew says.
"Your friends right, May. You and Max can't let those imposters get away with that," Rose says.
"Well, I can see the new headline now. May and Max assisting in dealing with phonies pilfering from the townsfolk!" Dee says, "And your friends can come for reinforcements.
Without a second to lose, the crowd see them off as they chant, 'May rules'.
"Still, who would want to pretend to be you two?" Jen asks.
"And sell buttons too," Tomo adds.
"Who knows?" Max says.
"I think I got a pretty good idea," Mew says.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket continued to run through the park from the mob of fans.
"Meowth, pick up the pace!" Jessie calls out.
"She's right, quit running like a girl!" James panics.
"I knew I shoulda been Max!" Meowth cries out.
They soon run into the crowd with the real May and Max.
"What now?" James asks.
"More crazy fans!" Meowth panics.
Jessie says, worried, "It's the real May and Max. And the twerps!
"This won't be pleasant," James adds.
May and the others soon notice them.
May asks, "Wait a minute, what's dad doing in the middle of this part of Petalburg?"
"I see something wrong with this picture," Max says.
"You're right. This ain't my mom and dad," May says.
"And it looks like we found the fakes," Zinnia says.
Soon, James says in a deep voice, "Of course I'm not your father. I'm Norman, who are you?"
Then Jessie raises her voice to a falsetto, "And my name is Caroline, and these are our children."
Max gets closer at Wobbuffet, "You're supposed to be me?"
"Wo...bbuffet." (Yes, I am.) Wobbuffet says, nervously.
Tomo and Mew notice it.
May looks at Meowth, "And you're me?"
"Who? What's dat? My name's May and I'm a Coordinator," Mewoths says.
"I look nothing like you and I'm NOT that short!" May says.
"Looks like we might have four imposters here," Dee says.
Then the man asks, "Are the two on the right the real ones?"
"No, these children on the left are," Rose says and turns to the man, "What's going on? You just left the store completely empty?"

"You seem to be forgetting, husband, that I had the chance to meet Norman's son and daughter!" Rose says.
And the man says, "They're phonies!"
"They are not!" Rose shouts.
The two continue arguing.
"Well, it's clear that these are fakes," Mew says, pointing to Meowth and Wobbuffet.
Then Meowth says, "Hey, we are you, you're not us!"
"Woooobbuffet!" (She's quite right!) Wobbuffet says.
Then Mew realizes, "Hey wait a minute! You're Meowth and Wobbuffet!"
Meowth and Wobbuffet flinch to hear that response.
"So that means!" May says.
Both girls turn to each other and nod.
Then Mew calls out, "Fenniken!"
"Torchic!" May calls out.
Then call out, "BURN THEIR CLOTHES OFF WITH EMBER!"
Both Fenniken and Torchic fire their attack and become so powerful that it, once more, becomes a blast of fire that burns Team Rocket's disguises off.
Rose and Yaohei cry out in shock, "WHAT?!"
Dee then asks, "Who in Petalburg are these fakers?!"

Make it double, without a doubt.
Jessie:

Team Rocket blasts off unmasked at the speed of light.
James:
Surrender now, or, prepare to fight, fight, fight.
Meowth:
And I'm Meowth, dat's right!
Wobbuffet:
Wooooobbuffet! (End of scene!)
"Team Rocket!" Mew says.
"It figures you were the imposters!" Zinnia says.
"How dare you pretend to be me and my family!" May says angrily
Jessie then brings out her Pokeball, "Hey, if you don't mind, we prefer to be called thieves."
"Yeah!" James says, bringing out his Pokeball.
Jessie throws her Pokeball and calls out, "Seviper, I choose you!"
Seviper then comes out.
James then calls out, "Cacnea, you're up too!"
Cacnea comes out, but ends up hugging James instead
"Not me, those twerps! Pin Missile!" James cries out.
Cacnea then fires the attack at Torchic.
"Torchic!" May cries out.
"Fennekin, use Protect to protect Torchic!" Mew calls out.
Fenniken performs the attack and it deflects the Pin Missile.
"Thank you, Fenniken. You, too, Ashley," May says.
Then Jessie calls out, "Use Haze, Seviper."
Seviper spreads the Haze, blinding the whole crowd
"Okay, Seviper, coil around that Pikachu and Eevee before the smoke clears!" Jessie calls out.
Seviper coils around something and takes off in their balloon.
"It's a wonder we didn't take off, we're so loaded with loot," James says.
Soon, Jessie holds up Fennekin and Torchic, "And this! Finally, we got Eevee and Pikachu!
"Pika-who?" James questions.
The group looks to notice that they captured Torchic and Fenniken by mistake.
"Oopsy-daisy," James says.
"Torchic!" May cries out.
"Fennekin!" Mew calls out.
Dee then says, "This is the biggest headline yet!"
Then Mew has an idea, "May, I got an idea!"
Mew then whispers into May's ear. May nods in response.
May then calls out, "Torchic, use Peck!"
With that, Torchic pecks at Team Rocket by their heads, they all cry out to stop, but Torchic is not having it.
Mew then calls out, "Fenniken, use Take Down!"
Fenniken then jumps off the balloon, runs up the tree at top speed, and then bounces back to perform Take Down at Team Rocket. That sends Torchic and the bags of money flying off the balloon.
May soon caught Torchic, "Torchic."
"Heads up!" Rose calls out.
"Got it!" The man says.
Then they both catch the bags.
Fenniken then jumps out of the balloon and soon begins to glow. Everyone becomes surprised to see it.
"Look at that!" Max says.
"That light!" Jen says.
"You're right! Fenniken's evolving!" Brock says.
Fenniken soon begins to grow in size, and soon begins to look like it's standing on two legs as she lands on the ground. When the transformation is done, Fenniken has evolved into a fox-like Pokémon. While the majority of its fur is yellow, it has thick black fur on its legs, white arms and face, and a dark orange tail tip. The fur on its cheeks is longer, and a small mane of white fur covers its shoulders and chest. Long, wavy tufts of dark orange fur grow out of its large ears, and its eyes and small nose match this fur in color. Above its developed legs, the fur around its hips sweeps out to either side, resembling a skirt or shorts. Each paw has three small digits.
"Wow. Fenniken has evolved into Braixen!" Mew says, and brings out her Pokedex.
Dextette says, "Braixen, the Fox Pokemon, and the evolved form of Fennekin. A Fire Type. Braixen's branch ignites as it's pulled from the Pokémon's tail. Braixen then uses the flame to spark powerful attacks."
"That is so amazing, Braxin," Mew says. Then calls out, "Alright Braixen, finish it off!"
Braixen then performs a fire atack, and it's not Ember!"
"That's Fire Spin!" Max says.
"Braixen learned a new move!" Brock says.
The Fire Spin then suck Team Rocket into a Vortex of fire and sends them flying
Jessie cries out, "Hey, even though we lost, I feel quite happy and somewhat free!"
"Me, too. And I tink da reason is dat at least we're being ourselves again instead of posing as some udder family," Meowth says.
"It does feel somewhat better to not act like winners anymore," James says.
"And no one could ever be as big losers as we are," Jessie says.
"We're incomparable…" Team Rocket cries out.
Mew then hugs her Braixen, "Way to go, Braixen."
"Braixen," (Thank you!) Braixen says.
"Wow. She looks so pretty," May says.
"I'm guessing that battle with May and the incident with Team Rocket helped it evolve," Brock says.
"Yeah," Mew says.
Soon, Torchic begins turning to May and begins talking to May.
Hearing it, Mew asks, "What do you mean, when it's your turn to evolve?"
"Oh Torchic, I'm sure you'll evolve when the time comes," May says.
Dee then walks over, "Well, looks like you both made quite a team."
"Thanks," Mew says.
"And that was some battling you two did!" Rose says.
Then the man says, "Sorry about the little misunderstanding!"
"It's no problem," May says.
"Still, May, you and your Pokemon were great, and it's great that both you and Max have wonderful friends," Rose says.
Then Dee says "Sorry about giving you and your friends a bit of a hard time, Ashley."
"It's okay. I'm also sorry, my little ones blasted those kids into a pulp," Mew says.
"I was surprised to hear it," May says.
"Well, I heard of overprotective mothers, but babies. That's a new one," Rose says.
Then everyone begins laughing. Mew and her friends begin laughing as well.
Later that evening, our heroes depart from North Petalburg with the crowd seeing them off
Rose calls out, "Bye, May and Max! Take care!"
"Tell your parents we all said hi!" Yaohei says.
Then Dee calls out, "And good luck to you, Ashley!"
Brock says, "Well, looks like they're a lively bunch of folks.
"I know, they act like dad's a famous rock star or something," Max says.
"I wonder if he knows about this," May replies.
"I wonder about that too," Jen says.
"Well, our next stop is Petalburg City, well the proper one anyway," Zinnia says.
"Yeah. Can't wait to battle Norman and challenge him for my fifth badge," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee agree with excitement.
"After spending a chaotic afternoon in the thralls of Normania, our heroes set their sights on Petalburg City proper and Mew's fifth gym battle.
