Chapter 3
I got home a half hour ago, and I am still thinking about Jason's smile when we met. My stomach starts grumbling, and I clench it like I understand. My dad walks into the room, and he turns on the TV. "Hey, Dad? Can we go get some Chicken Nuggets?" My dad mutes the TV, and he says, "Sounds great. I'm hungry anyway." I smile, and after a minute, we are both out the door on our way to get Chicken Nuggets. I start singing the songs on the radio as my dad drives. Three minutes later, we pull up into McDonald's and head on in. I noticed there was someone inside, too. I recognize them and start blushing. My dad notices, and he nudges me a little bit on the arm. "Jason?" He turns around, startled by his name. He looks down at me and smiles. "Hey, Ronnie!" I noticed a girl next to him, about 15 years old. "Who's this?" "Oh, this is my baby sister Leia. Leia, meet Veronica. Veronica, meet my sister Leia." Leia looks at me and starts talking to me about Jason like she has known me forever. After a while, we all get our orders and sit in a booth together.
