Chapter 6
I lay my head on Leia's. Veronica and I are looking at each other, smiling. "Excuse me, Steven?" "Yeah?" "Can you help me take my sister out to my car?" I see him smile. "Of course. Where are you parked?" "I will show you." We clean up the booth and head outside, and Steven is holding Leia in his arms. I walk up to my car and open the passenger door. Steven lays Leia down. I close the door quickly and quietly. I let out a long sigh like I was holding my breath. "I'll leave you two alone." Steven leaves his daughter and me alone. "So…" "So…" Both Veronica and I look at each other and laugh. "This was fun. It was nice to see you, Jason." "It was nice to see you, too, Ronnie." She giggles and says, "Yeah." Veronica and I were getting closer. My breath was becoming heavier as we were getting closer and closer. Eventually, we kissed. We kissed for what felt like forever, but when we ended it, we were both breathing hard. "Ronnie," I breathe hard. "That was amazing." "It… It was." "Ronnie, I want to see you more." I look at her with a hint of want and love.
