Black lives matter and I hope that someday in the near future people will remember that and not be a bunch racist douchebags.
Fun Fact: Quinn's favorite musicals are Wicked and Beauty and the Beast.
Edward Nygma and Barbara Kean
Two guards pulled Jerome away from Quinn, who was still shaken from the way Jerome grabbed her. Quinn gulps down a gasp of air still in complete shock from what she just learn. When she tries to go out the door one of the guards tries to stop her.
"Let her go," Jim tells him, ignoring Jerome's insane laugh.
After the guard lets go of her arm she opens the door and leaves the room and makes her way to a nearby bench where she sits down trying to take in everything.
Quinn then hears a woman's voice, "Quinn."
When Quinn looks up she sees the lady doctor from the interrogation room walking towards her and sits down next to her.
"I-I'm sorry Dr. Thompkins," Quinn sobs, "I didn't know. I didn't think he would do this. I-I thought..." The tears start to rise up in Quinn's eyes.
Lee pulls Quinn into a gentle hug, without any warning. The hug reminds Quinn of the way her mother used to hug her
"Shh I know, I know," Lee tries to comfort the girl.
"He was my best friend," Quinn sobs, More than that.
"It will be okay," Lee murmurs rubbing soothing circles into Quinn's back.
Quinn pulls away from her still sniffling, "Thank you."
"Listen," she sighs, placing a hand on my shoulder, "if you ever need to speak with anyone, I'll be here. Okay?"
Quinn nodded, "Okay. Yeah. Thank you."
Lee smiles a bit then says, "Also Jim wanted me to tell you to wait here for a little while until Jerome is gone and then he'll have one of the police officers drive you home."
"Okay," Quinn said, and then asks, "What's going to happen to him?"
"He'll be going to Arkham," Lee answers. "He needs help."
Quinn nods and then sighs, "Why do I feel so upset about this? His mother was always abusive towards him and cared more about sex and drinking than her own son."
Lee sighs, "There can be many reasons why someone would feel this way. Just remember you can come here whenever you want, and ask for me and we can just talk about anything. My name is Lee Thompkins."
"Thank you, Lee Thompkins. It really means a lot," Quinn smiles, then hugs her again, before Lee gets up and leaves after giving Quinn one more smile.
While Quinn sits and waits, a tall man with dark brown hair, brown eyes and glasses stands in front of her, holding several files in his hands.
He grins with a mixture of sympathy and mischief, "I can bring tears to your eyes and resurrect the dead. I form in an instant and last a life time. What am I?"
Quinn looks up at him blankly, "Are you asking me a riddle?" Seriously?
"Do you like riddles?" the man asked.
"Sometimes," Quinn admits, "But now isn't one of those times."
"So do you give up?" he asks.
Just humor him. "Memories?" Quinn guessed.
"Correct," he grinned approvingly.
"Who are you?" Quinn asked the man, "And why the riddle?"
"I'm Edward," he grinned, sticking his hand out for her to shake, "Edward Nygma."
"I'm Quinn," Quinn introduced herself shaking Edward's hand, "Quinn Young."
"Yes, I know who you are," Edward told her with a sympathetic look, "I heard what happen, I'm really sorry."
Quinn sighs, "It's not your fault."
Edward rested a gentle hand on her shoulder, "It'll be okay though," Ed assured her, "But it will take a while."
Quinn just nodded in response.
Ed smiled kindly at the young girl, "I may not have an answer as to how things will get better or be different but it always does somehow, but just keeping hanging in there and you're more than welcome to come to me anytime."
Quinn smiled and nodded, "Thank you, Edward."
After Ed walked away, Quinn was trying to hold herself back from crying again but she was weakening and then without she broke down crying again.
Quinn then felt a gentle hand touch her shoulder, "Are you okay?" asked a voice Quinn didn't recognize.
When Quinn looks up with her eyes red and puffy she sees that it's a woman with blonde hair and kind gentle blue eyes.
"S-Sorry," Quinn sniffs, wiping her eyes, "I didn't mean to bother you."
"Oh you didn't bother me," the woman reassures her, "When I came in I noticed you were crying. What happened?"
You really shouldn't be putting your problems onto this woman, Quinn. But on the other hand she did ask you what was wrong.
"My friend he..." Quinn began but was interrupted.
"Miss Young," said a police detective.
Quinn turned around to look at the man, "Yes?"
The man introduces himself, "I'm Detective Alvarez. Jim Gordon told me to give you a ride home.
But before Quinn could respond, Barbara spoke up, "That's okay Detective. I can take Miss Young home.
Detective Alvarez looked at the woman with a raised eyebrow and frowned, "You're sure Ms. Kean?"
"Yes. Don't worry, I'll take care of her," she assured the man.
"Well okay," Alvarez shrugged and then said, "Good night Miss Young, Ms. Kean."
After Detective Alvarez left, Quinn frowned questionably at the blonde lady's offer.
The lady, who was Ms. Kean, didn't seem to notice the look Quinn was giving her because she smiled at her and asked, "Would you like to come with me to my place where we can talk about it over a drink?"
Quinn always knew never to go with strangers, because she never knows if they can be trusted or not, but this lady seemed really nice and after everything that happened Quinn really didn't want to be alone. Quinn smiled and nodded.
"What's your name kid?" the blonde woman asked.
"I'm Quinn. Quinn Young," she introduced herself sticking out her hand.
The lady in turn stuck out her own hand and they shake, "Barbara Kean."
