Hello I realized that I forgot that I promised that Harvey Dent was going to be in the previous chapter and he wasn't and I'm so sorry about that. I was trying to get my previous chapter before I left for the fireworks and I completely forgot. So hopefully this chapter makes up for it.
A Reveal
Jim Gordon and Harvey Dent were sneaking into the Falcone Mansion through a back entrance with their guns out.
"You know you didn't have to come with me Harvey," Jim told his assistant district attorney.
"Yes, I did," Harvey replies, "Because if anything this involves me more than you."
"Why's that?" Jim asked curiously.
"Shouldn't we be more focused on our surroundings than chatting?" Harvey questioned. The truth was he did some calling and digging at the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida and he found out what he suspected was true.
They found a waiter who was carrying a tray with two plates with silver coverings.
"Don't make a noise," Jim told the waiter, "Shh I'm a cop."
"And I'm an assistant district attorney," Harvey replies, "Who are you?"
"Uh... I'm a-a waiter," the waiter stutters.
"We're looking for a man. Caucasian. About 5'10"," Jim describes, "Would've brought the food. Maybe the chef."
"Uh, the chef's in the kitchen," said the waiter, "Look I just got hired tonight. Whatever the dude's into, I have no idea. I'm just here..."
"You're okay, you're okay," Jim assures the man.
"As long as you don't give us any trouble," Harvey replies.
"Do us a favor, find Ms. Falcone, bring her to us," Jim said.
"And her son, Leo," Harvey adds with a firm tone. "Can you do that for us?"
"Yeah. All right," the waiter agrees, he sets his tray down for Jim and Harvey to notice something in the man's jacket.
"What's that in your jacket?" Jim asked.
The waiter stammers a little before giving up and trying to attack the duo, but Jim and Harvey beat him with a few good punches. Unfortunately for them Professor Pyg, who's disguised as Chef Louie, hits them both on the head from behind, knocking them unconscious.
"Jim Gordon really is an impressive policeman," Pyg said, "And his friend is quite good too." He then asks, "Are they alone?"
"Seems so," the waiter answers. "But, man, whatever it is you're into, my partner and I? Our rates just doubled.
Professor Pyg just smiled in response.
Then the men dragged Jim Gordon and Harvey Dent into a walk in storage closet and locked the door. It was then that they found Detective Harper unconscious and bleeding next to them.
"Harper!" Jim exclaimed. Jim immediately went over to the detective to try and stop the bleeding.
"The Pyg must've brought her here," Harvey replies, looking over at Detective Harper with concern.
A couple minutes later they heard the sound of gunshots and people screaming.
"Leo!" Harvey exclaims. Harvey runs to the door and tries to open but it was unlock. He then begins banging on the door repeatedly and keeps trying to break it down. "Leo, Leo," Harvey cried out.
"Calm down Harvey," Jim said with concern.
"No Jim!" Harvey cried out in anger, "No! You don't understand! Leo is in danger!"
"Why is Sofia's son so important to you?" Jim asks.
"Because he isn't just Sofia's son. Leo is my son too!" Harvey reveals.
Jim pauses with his eyes widen. "You're Leo's birth father?" Jim asked in shock.
"I'm his father period!" Harvey states firmly.
"Sofia told me that Leo's father left before he was born," Jim said.
"Yeah, well she lied to you too," Harvey said and explains, "Because she told me it ended up being a miscarriage. I wanted to see Sofia after I heard the news, but she told me she was too upset to see anyone. After that she wouldn't answer any of my letters or even answer my calls. I really thought she did have a miscarriage until I met Leo when he was at a bar with Sofia almost a week ago. When I eventually got a hold of the hospital in Miami where Sofia would've given birth at I found out the truth."
Jim Gordon looks at Harvey for a while unsure what to say, especially since he and Sofia have had intimate moments together, which also made him feel uncomfortable, after hearing the unexpected news from his friend, but after he clears his throat and said, "Well this is certainly unexpected. But we'll talk about this later." Jim then goes back to applying pressure on Harper's wound.
"All right. I stopped the bleeding, I think," Jim said, as Harper pants, "That's the best I can do until we can get you out of here. Got to get that door open."
"Gordon. Dent," Harper said weakly.
"Maybe we can get the hinges off," Jim comments.
"We're going to need some weapon or a tool," Harvey replies.
"Gordon, Dent," Harper says a little louder getting the attention of both men. "Idiots forgot to search me," Detective Harper said revealing two knives tucked in under her pants legs.
Then Jim and Harvey each both take a knife and start working together to get the door open.
I know Leo wasn't in this chapter, but as I mentioned I wanted to make up for forgetting to put Harvey in the last chapter.
