In this chapter Harvey kicks Pyg's ass.
Professor Pyg
In the dining room after everyone was seated at the table the lights went dim and the people murmur.
"Was this another one of your plans?" Penguin asked.
"No," Sofia answers.
The song, "Cell Block Tango," begins playing. Then a light turns on revealing Professor Pyg wearing his pig mask with Leo and Martin, who were each standing on stools on either side of Pyg.
"Ladies and gentlemen, as you might have now surmised, there's been a change in the program. Tonight, we are proud to present the six merry Gothamites of Squatter's Row, Martin from the Falcone Home and School for Orphans, and Leo, the son of the founder. In our rendition of the Meat Pie Tango," announced Professor Pyg. "Bob, Fricks, Trish, Nunuh, Cyrano Vincent."
Pyg's henchmen uncover the plates one by one revealing the meat pies that he cooked. Then Martin and Leo ding the triangles they were given.
"You have it coming, you have it coming You only have yourself to blame. If you'd have been fair, if you'd have been keen. I betcha these pies wouldn't taste the same!" Pyg sang as he did a little dance. Martin and Leo ding the triangles again.
"Enough!" Sofia shouts, "Where are the other children? If you hurt them, I swear..." But was cut off when the Pyg stabbed her in the hand making her scream in pain.
"Mommy!" Leo cries. He tried to go to her, but Professor Pyg stopped him by grabbing him by his hair and pulling him back to where he stood, making him scream in pain.
"Rude. I'm not finished," Pyg said and told Penguin, "Sit down."
Penguin was about to pull the knife out of Sofia's hand, but the Pyg stopped him.
"Pull it out, and the next one's in her eye," Pyg threatens.
"Oswald, no," Sofia whimpers, and Penguin reluctantly sits back down.
"Now, to answer your question, my dear, the other children and your staff are safely locked in the kitchen. Despite appearances, I'm not an animal," Pyg replies with a laugh and snorts like a pig.
"Martin, Leo may we continue?" Pyg said. The boys ding their triangles again. "You have all fed upon the poor of Gotham for years. Now you're going to know what they taste like. Please, open your envelopes and look at the photographs inside," Pyg tells them. But when nobody does, Pyg demands, "Oh, come on. Open them!" Then they all do it.
"Who is Trish?" Oswald asks, looking at his photograph.
"Well, I thought you should see who you're eating," Pyg explains, "Bob, Fricks, Trish, Nunuh, Cyrano and Vincent all deserve our gratitude."
Penguin realizes, "So these pies are..."
"People. Yep," Pyg answers, "They're people pies."
"People," Penguin murmurs.
"And you're all going to eat them," Pyg said.
"Oh, no," a woman said.
"Absolutely not," Penguin said.
"Okay. Let's try this again," Pyg said grabbing Leo and Martin, holding a mean cleaver to their throats. Leo let out a whimper and was trying not to cry.
"No!" Sofia cried out, as the other people gasp.
"Eat, or I kill the boys," Pyg threatened.
"But one's just an orphan and the other is just some kid," a man said.
"What did you say?" Penguin asks dangerously.
"Well, these are made of people. For God's sake, you can't expect us..." the man chuckles, "I mean, so they kill some urchin and a brat, hmm?"
That ended being the wrong thing to say, because Penguin ripped the knife out of Sofia's hand and stabbed the man in the head.
"What a waste of a good pie. But I do applaud the sentiment. Especially as you, Mr. Cobblepot, are the reason I'm here," Pyg replies.
"Me? Why?" Penguin asks.
"Oh, I could've chosen any gathering of wealthy Gothamites who've gotten fat upon the poor. But you, with your Pax Penguina, you are the biggest glutton of them all," Pyg explains, "You have gorged yourself on this city's heart, its lungs, its liver. Why should today be any different? Now eat, little Penguin. Eat. Eat the pies, or the boys dies."
Penguin then looks at his pie and back at Pyg who has his meat cleaver ready to kill Leo and Martin. He then reluctantly grabs his pie and eats it, and despite it making him feel sick he manages to keep it down.
Leo looked at Penguin carefully. Maybe he really does care about Martin.
"If you don't eat, I will hunt you down and kill you all!" Penguin threatens the other guests, making them eat the people meat pies, despite them also making the guests sick.
"Now, that's what I like to see," Pyg said satisfied.
Meanwhile Jim and Harvey finally get the door open and go to stop Pyg.
"And as Mother always used to say, "Nobody leaves until every plate is clean." It's a compliment to the chef, and I love compliments," Pyg said and turned his attention to Sofia, "And, Ms. Falcone... mangia, signorina."
"Only if you don't hurt them," Sofia said. She tried to eat, but is unable to, because of her arm, so Sofia asked Penguin, "Can you help me?"
After looking at Pyg, who is still holding his meat cleaver to Leo and Martin, Penguin answers, "Yes." He then cut a piece of her pie with a fork and held it our for Sofia to eat.
But before Sofia ate her pie, Jim Gordon and Harvey Dent came in punching and shooting at Professor Pyg's accomplices. All the guests run screaming. Jim then points his gun at the Pyg who is still holding Leo and Martin hostage.
"No! He'll kill the kids!" Penguin cried out trying to stop him.
"Like hell!" Harvey growls angrily pushing Penguin and Jim away and says to Pyg, "Get your hands off of my son you son of a bitch!"
As Pyg does let go of the kids, Penguin yells to them, "Martin. Leo."
Martin runs to Penguin, but Leo stops and looks at the man, who called him his son.
"Jim! Harvey!" Sofia cries as she ran.
"Run Leo!" Harvey shouted.
It wasn't until Sofia grabbed Leo that he did run, but he kept looking back at Harvey. Sofia was also looking at Harvey thinking how him being here wasn't part of her plan, not only that but he also knows the truth.
Pyg was throwing knives and one of his meat cleavers at Jim and Harvey, who was dodging them. Harvey than ran at Pyg dodging all the sharp objects he was throwing at him. Harvey then punched Pyg in the face.
"Get out of here," Jim told Sofia, "Go."
Sofia took Leo and ran out.
Pyg attempts to stab Harvey, but Harvey grabs his hand with the knife and makes Pyg stab himself.
"I am going to rip your little snout in half," Harvey said hatefully.
"I see somebody's angry," Pyg taunts despite being stabbed.
"Oh you haven't seen me angry yet," Harvey remarks angrily.
Harvey punches Professor Pyg in the face multiple times and even head butts him as the image of Pyg holding a meat cleaver to his son's throat, threatening to kill him comes to his mind, which makes Harvey hit him harder.
But Jim grabs Harvey making him stop. "Harvey, Harvey! That's enough! It's over!"
After Harvey finally calms down Jim rips off the Pyg's mask and handcuffs him.
So in the next chapter Harvey confronts Sofia and Leo is going to be very confused.
