Chapter 51
An agreement was made between everyone on the new sleeping arrangement.
Nova will now take up Judy's old room.
Judy and Tia will share Tia's room. much to Nick's annoyance.
And Nick will continue to occupy his room.
The day went by without much issue after their afternoon meeting.
Nick contacted his hacker, the panda, to see if a message could be sent to Bogo discreetly.
But Judy was still restless, pacing the apartment, and constantly asking the tox for updates.
Nova and Tia ended up bonding over several games of poker.
Nick eventually had to put a gambling restriction on the two when Nora started betting on his belongings.
"You said I'm a Wilde now. Doesn't that mean what's yours is mine now?"
Nick glared at the young fox before answering. "One, I asked if you wanted to become a Wilde. Two, If you didn't buy it you don't have ownership of it. Three, You don't bet a three thousand dollar vase on a 3 of a kind."
"Dude!" Nova yelled." I was bluffing!"
"Badly." Nick stated
"Prick."
"Newb."
After they traded insults, dinner was made courtesy of Judy's cooking. A lovely dinner of ready-to-cook lasagna shared over mixed company left little to be discussed. Tia was the first to head to bed after taunting Nova for being a sore loser. Nick was next after he felt a sudden headache coming on.
"Do we have ice cream?" Nova abruptly asked Judy who was still waiting for Nick's phone to pronounce any news from the hacker.
"No."
"You didn't even look."
"Don't need to."
This was true. Judy recalled when she and Nick were first starting to get comfortable around each other.
After another favor turned gift Judy spent her next day off wondering how she can get rid of this Nicholas Wilde from her life. Not able to come up with any solid, or legal, options Judy went on a jog.
"Hey, fluffy legs!"
Not even half hour into her jog the said fox appeared standing casually outside of a local bakery. And Nick being Nick added the cherry on top by catcalling his favorite bunny cop.
Judy had to register his existence outside of an alleyway and a tailored suit. In fact she wondered if this Hawaiian shirt, khaki shorts, smug fox was the same smug fox called The Shadow.
"Mr. Wilde?"
"Nick. Carrots. My name is Nick."
Nick rolled his eyes at the dumbfounded rabbit. And Judy, being Judy, ignored his attitude like normal.
"Are you following me now?" She immediately accused.
Nick seemed insulted by the accusation. Even though he'd never admit that he did in fact discover this bakery from having Judy tailed.
"Can't a man enjoy his warm dessert in peace?" Judy could only tilt her head in even more confusion.
"Warm? Dessert?"
"I don't like cold food." Nick stated bluntly as though he revealed the earth was round.
When Judy and Nick eventually became friends and progressed to being a couple, not once did Judy see Nick have a cold sweet treat. Drinks, especially the alcohol kind, were the only exception.
"LAME!" Nova declared stomping off to her room.
Judy flinched when the door slammed shut... loudly.
In the moment of silence that followed Judy addressed the child in her womb.
"Please don't be that dramatic or filled with attitude." Judy pleaded desperately knowing full well the child hadn't developed to the point of being able to hear her voice yet.
Silence was her answer.
I guess it's time for bed. Judy resigned to herself.
Forcing herself to leave Nick's burner phone at the kitchen table Judy trudged to her new bedroom for the time being. But as soon as she found herself outside of her and Tia's shared room an evil thought intruded into her mind.
Nick's room is right there.
Immediately her heart quickened in anticipation as she remembered their escaped in the bathroom earlier. An escaped that left both Judy and Nick unsatisfied.

No Judy, No! Bad Judy. Bad!
Bu… was she being bad? She was a bunny after all. And bunnies are infamous for multiplying. An argument could be made that she was just following her nature.
SNAP OUT OF IT! Judy declared mentally as she decided not to sneak into Nick's room.
Yet, when she held the door handle to her shared bedroom with Tia, Judy was disappointed with her decision. However, just as she was about to open the door it was Nick's door that creaked open slowly. The tension that came with the sound felt like when she was a kid again sneaking into the cookie jar. Only in this case, her prize was not a cookie she could eat but a fox she desperately wanted to devour. And standing with an un-button open shirt, un-buttoned fitted pants, and a hazy gaze of lust was her Nicholas Wilde. Not Zootopia's Shadow but her Nick, her fox, and possibly her biggest regret.
No words were spoken between the two as one regarded the other for what felt like an eternity.
Fuck It!
Judy found herself sauntering over to Nick. Her heart pounded against her chest drowning out all sounds. Including the thoughts in her head saying how this was going to be a big mistake.
Nick couldn't help but smile when Judy marched into his personal bubble. The heat that came off their bodies would have anyone wanting to leave the room in discomfort. But for Nick and Judy all it did was wish they could glue themselves to one another.
"Carrots." Nick whispered with a heavy breath.
He knew what was most likely to happen next. But again, was scared that it was nothing more than a dream.
"Shut up and kiss me before I chicken out." Judy pulled at Nick's neck urging him closer.
Nick all but complied claiming her lips with his own.
They were going to finish what was started earlier in that little bathroom. And this time the consequences will be damned.
AN: On an actual note. Sorry, I was gone for so long guys. I knew when I started this story the beginning and the middle but not the end. And a LOT happened in my personal life that pushed this to the back burner. But I'm back and though I make no promises of being more consistent with updates. I will finish this story...one day lol.
