After Chiron had told them to go to the Big House, Serena still sat perfectly still for a few moments, her brain still registering the 'prophecy' that Rachel had made. It took her a few seconds to realize that someone was shaking her shoulder. She blinked a few times, then saw Nico standing in front of her, his hand on her shoulder.

"Hey Serena? You still there?" Nico joked.

"Y-yeah," Serena shook the shock from her head. "Just startled, that's all."

"Good," Nico started walking towards the Big House. "Now, Rachel's already left. You don't want her to beat us there, do you?"

Serena laughed. "No, we can't have that." she joked, standing up and beginning to walk alongside Nico.

As they were walking, Nico heard the conch shell. A few of the campers were obviously confused, and the head councilors started to make their way over to the Big House.

When everybody had arrived around the ping-pong table, Percy asked, "Wait, why are you here Serena? I'm head councilor for cabin 3."

"She is here because I told her to," Chiron explained, walking through the door.

"But why did you tell her to come?" Clarisse demanded. "She has less battle experience than anybody else at camp."

Rachel piped up. "There's a prophecy, Clarisse." Everybody fell silent. "It was made to her. That's why she's here."

"Yes," Chiron confirmed, some of the camper's faces simply awestruck. "There has been a prophecy announced. Now, Serena, could you tell us what it said?" she shook her head. "Then would you tell us, Nico?"

Nico nodded. "It said, "Enchanting songs with words powered by Mist, Words most demigods cannot resist, From a child of the sea success can be found, But if the Angel can't help the Mermaid will drown"." Everyone was silent.

Lou Ellen was the first to speak. "How in Hades can a mermaid drown? That doesn't even make sense."

"Most prophecies don't, but you guys know that I can't drown, right?" Percy asked. "Well, on the quest to free Thanatos in Alaska, I almost drowned in the muskeg. There's almost always a loophole."

"Wait a minute," Annabeth said, thinking about something. "The last time a prophecy mentioned an angel, it was Nico, because his last name's di Angelo. Maybe it still is him this time, and the mermaid is someone's name too."

Nico hadn't thought about that, but when he looked at Serena, she was a deathly pale again, with the look of fear on her face. "What's wrong, Serena?" She simply shook her head, as if she was too scared to speak.

"If you have something to say about the prophecy, you might as well share it." Will said, but with a caring look on his face, like he wouldn't really mind if she didn't want to share. Serena shook her head again.

Clarisse slammed her fist on the table. "Come on, punk! Spit it out already!"

"Cut it out, Clarisse!" Piper demanded, putting her charmspeak into her voice. Clarisse's anger seemed to die down a bit.

"Serena," it was barely more than a whisper, but Nico could still hear the quiet murmur of Serena's voice saying her own name. Everybody turned to her when they realized she had spoken.

"What did you say?" Jason asked.

"N-never mind, it's not important." was all Serena could manage. She shook her head.

Clarisse began to protest again, but Nico stopped her. "If she doesn't want to say, making her say it won't make a difference." Clarisse still seemed annoyed, but she didn't yell at Serena. "Anyway, what about the other lines? Enchanting songs with words powered by Mist, words most demigods cannot resist."

"That sounds like Siren song," Percy said. "Annabeth and I met them in the Sea of Monsters."

"Sounds right," Lou Ellen guessed. "Sirens get their magic from the Mist. That would explain the first line."

After a few more minutes of 'deciphering the prophecy' (they honestly didn't get much farther than that, and that they would find victory from either Serena or Percy), Chiron cleared his throat. Everyone turned their attention to him.

"Now, you all know what we are going to send out three demigods on a quest," he turned to Serena. "Since the prophecy was made to you, you will be the leader of the quest. You may choose two other demigods to accompany you."

"Nico and Will," Serena said without hesitation. She continued before anybody (Clarisse) could protest. "If Nico's the angel, then I want him to come." It sounded like there was more to what she said, but she continued anyway. "And Will's a medic. I've found that medics are kinda helpful when someone's hurt."

"Very well then," Chiron said. "You two are alright with accompanying miss Laguna?" Nico and Will nodded. "You all have the rest of the day to prepare. Then you will be heading out in the morning."

"Uh, I see a problem with this plan," Serena said, earning herself a raised eyebrow from Chiron. "I mean, where exactly are we going to be "heading out" to?"

"Right. A plan without a destination is not the best idea." Will confirmed, even though everybody probably already knew that.

"There have been a few reports of crashed ships in unusual areas, though I am not positive if they are what we are looking for. Tomorrow morning, you will be heading to your father's palace, Serena." Chiron explained. Serena became visibly paler.

"M-my father's p-palace?" she stuttered out. "Why are we going to Poseidon's realm?"

Chiron paused for a moment, probably thinking how to word his response. "Sirens have been known to be creatures of the sea, so your father will have some idea of what they are doing."

Nico nodded, but Serena still seemed kind of flustered at the idea of going to her father's realm. She had grown up with two parents, he it was no doubt that she would have mixed feelings about seeing her real father. Not after being raised with with a fake one.

After the meeting, Nico met with Serena and Will next to Thalia's pine.

"You guys are really okay with coming along with me?" Serena asked timidly.

"Of course, Serena. I know that I wouldn't dream of letting you go off on your own, and I'm pretty sure Will here would say the same." Nico replied.

Will nodded. "Yeah, Serena. We'll be by your side, no matter what."

Serena smiled slightly. "Good, because if any of my dreams have been correct, we have a lot to go though if we want answers."
